Not minting is not a GUI problem, it is a wallet problem. It will not correctly count down time to stake counter (at least not in the GUI). Despite having it open for most of the time, I only had 3 successful stakes and 1 unsuccessful - last one dated August 16. This does not computer nor does it make sense. This wallet is just a bad bad job.

Developer: please contact me so I can set you up with a high-quality coder with proven track record... He's used to clean up messy code Sad

Again: for now, this new wallet is a total bust and I am not staking despite my 1.8 MMXIV! Sad

We have already checked it. It's working fine. It's inconsistent due to the percentage of coins held on exchanges or not staking. We have only 2000ish coins, so 500 being on exchange is quite a large percentage

I would appreciate if you stop blaming personal errors on the coin, like when you didn't know how to install it. If you aren't staking at all, you're doing something wrong

Yeah blame me. Your installation failed, once more, if the first released MMXIV v2 wallet was installed too. TEST it, ffs, instead of putting blame with me! Same for GUI errors: that is just bad coding. Not me not knowing my shit.

And if minting is supposed to start after 12 hours, it should start. Not keep telling me that minting will start in 60 minutes (10 hours) and then 37 minutes (last 8 hours). Is should stake. It's not that hard! I'm about to pull my ASIC away again for if you are the future of this coin, there is none Sad

This is my exact point. You don't even read. It stakes after 24 hours. It's written everywhere

Anyway, no thanks on your offer. Hope your client is working now

You are missing the point... 12 hours, 24 hours... It ain't staking I think! Will wait another 24 hours... I remembered 12 - so fuck me, right?

My week on Twitter: https://twitter.com/devnullius/status/473478554580443137

This week I'll be giving away 50 MMXIV to miners on the multipool. Sometimes I'll send 1, sometimes I'll send 10

A random address will be picked at a random time on a random day...aka, whenever I check pool stats, I'll pick an address and send them some to say thanks for mining on pool.mmxivcoin.com

This is over .6 BTC worth of MMXIV being given away this week

Please Retweet: https://twitter.com/szenekonzept/status/501457096962220032

The more you spread it, the worse your chances.

If you mine all week, you are guaranteed to win. I will often just take all the addresses and send a little to them

Definitely not. Why would anyone pay you to promote when you just have talked shit about us for your own problems since you got here...?

Nobody else posted an entire page of not being able to even figure out how to load the client (while talking shit about us the whole time) when there is both a Windows Installer and the standalone available

You are right that I will stop supporting this coin al right - even before I read your comment.

I have not been FUDDING your topic. Most people won't even bother. You just screw up every step of the way. The shit ain't working for me. I've been very patient every step of the way: any harsh words are deserved and confirmed by others. Be glad I'm here to post all I find - why else do you think nobody else is posting the same questions any longer?? Are you really so self-absorbed??

Damn!

So I'm seeing something I am curious about. Say I started with 10 coins. I then earn a stake of 0.2 coins. And perhaps I receive a pool payout of 0.3 coins later that day. But now the age of the 10 coins is different than the 0.2 coins and the 0.3 coins.

So at some point, the 10 coins go to stake again but the 0.2 and 0.3 remain in my balance.

But then I think the 10 coins will generate another stake, let's say 0.2 again, and then the initial 0.2 and 0.3 will mature and I'll have 0.5 coins staking (perhaps at different times) and a lot of 10 and 0.2 coins in the balance. So I think you see where I'm going, is that there will be an increasing amount of "odd small lots" of coins staking and rotating through the process.

Is there any process by which the coins can all consolidate for the purpose of staking? Or will there be an increasing number of subsequently smaller lots of coins moving through the staking process and earning ever proportionately smaller stakes?

Unfortunately that is pretty much how staking works.  You can, periodically, transfer your entire balance to another wallet, or to Bittrex and back, to "re-consolidate" your coins.
Thanks for the explanation. Is there any reason to? Yesterday I got 7 stakes, all of the same size. Would I have received fewer stakes of a larger size if the balance was "consolidated" or is there any advantage to one approach vs another?

When you move your coins, you are resetting your timers, so I would do it as seldom as possible
OK, but it was also explained that you had to keep the qt client open to stake. So what is the real effect of closing and re-opening the qt client?

the common way to function is(@MMXIV correct me if i am wrong) is that you don't loose coinage but staking time, so when you oben it up again you beginn where you stopped staking, but you did not make any progress in between. For oler Iplementations, there hasn't been any "staking-time", what turned out badly, because people just had to open their wallet once a month and harnest their stakes. Newer implementations require you to "stake" and contribute a certain amound of time to securing the network

I just can't get my wallet syncing any longer... Cleared %AppData% for full resync but that got me stuck even further in time :s Tried it a few times too!

Downloaded 94047 of (big number) blocks of transaction history - 35297 block(s) remaining (45 days ago).

I can't figure it out Sad 14 active connections to network too! More than bitcoin ;p

So I left my flt wallet open 2 days and it was stuck on a block.. like 16000 or something like that.
Is there a new version of the wallet somewhere?

Here's the latest release.
http://www.fluttercoin.us/downloads/

http://fluttercointalk.com/showthread.php?165-Mandatory-Wallet-Update-Fluttercoin-v-0-4-5-10-(Windows-and-Linux-users)

0.4.5.11 is ready for release.  This build rolls up some bug fixes, GUI updates, syncs only with clients on 0.4.5.8+.  It remains compatibility with previous releases but helps fix sync issues by only using newer clients that have proper checkpointing.

Website will be updated soon, but it is available via https://github.com/ofeefee/fluttercoin/releases

As with any release, backup your wallet, and back it up often.  No need to resync, and you do not need a conf file with this release, I have tested numerous syncs from 0 without issue.  If you have one it also works.

good to see still some activity here Smiley

Curious if anyone has a working distroblitz.conf? I cannot get the wallet to sync, despite downloading (and connecting) newest version...

Last successful  PoS minting was July 13th...

Anyways: NEW PROBLEM!!

PoS is not working correctly...

Symptoms noticed:
suddenly my
Saldo=0
Stake=0
Unconfirmed=0
Amount of Transactoins=2 (and I could still see them in the Transactions list too!)

Gave me a scare, so I shut down the wallet.

I restarted and Stake was back at 1.802737 BUT...

Not staking because you don't have mature coins...

I had 1 successful stake before all was 0... 7b94ea66990694f7d626105b4b9d36cbf0826c5faa3f8ae51c6cb72b09d4b81c
After that (and shutting down the wallet), nothing got minted... I don't know how long to maturity, but if it resets every time minting has been done... Will take a long time to get profit from 50% stake ;p

And while I am at it... Should I keep the wallet always open OR can I open it once every so often for same minting returns...? Smiley

Devvie

twitter.com/devnullius

dont worry, its just the qt-display, all things are happening allright.
You can ensure that (just for your peace in mind) by opening the Debug Konsole and typing "getinfo".
There you can see, wihch coins are staking. I realised that this displayproblem gets better after a few starts.

anyway it looks more frightening than it is
Also  the first two or three stakes beeing zero, seem to be normal, i had them also at the first start, but then never again.
You may even experience the wallet claiming not to stake, because its locked, though you already unlocked it.
This is the same display problem, in fact all processes are running and working smooth wile the dsisplay gives sometimes strange views

hope that helps
Matthias

Thank you for the feedback. Ok, I'll believe there's a bug in the GUI and ignore it. But staking is not taking place, not even 0-transactions. I only had 1 stake, some 12 hours after I first received my MMXIV2.

Results console:
Code:
"version" : "v1.0.1.0-unk-beta",
"protocolversion" : 60005,
"walletversion" : 60000,
"balance" : 0.00000000,

"keypoolsize" : 101,

"errors" : ""

So if I understand correct, it's even worse... While my GUI shows my coins to be there, the wallet thinks I'm emptied out!!!! Sad W T F...!

So yeah, this helped A LOT ♥

NOW what do I do? Sad

Devvie

PS: last block was 1 hour ago... So I'll shut down the client once more and see what happens :s

Peace!

Now wallet is not 1 hour behind, but suddenly it is SIX hours...

ERGO: this coin is gone. Nobody is mining, nobody is confirming I suspect that PoS won't happen without mining transactions for this reason either?

Catching up on other comments...

2nd POST-EDIT: Ok, wallet synced within the minute after posting. So that's good. Still no PoS rewards! I will wait another 12 hours...

[statement]

Thanks for telling us! We already found out the xxx_coindev was a scammer and kicked him out after he made this statement: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=665809.msg7974892#msg7974892

Sorry to hear he/they also is/are scamming investors and community supporters of NoahCoin. These people deserve to be in prison and all they're assets should be taken away from them.

ps. The XxXcoin wallet should be working perfectly. We just updated it, you can find that here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=712912.msg8295213#msg8295213

Ooooh - my bad: seems my information became obsolete... Yeah this was a non-good week for the #Dutch... I've been targeted by some Dutch regarding a bitcoin giveaway because they opened mining services (tool was virus! support in Dutch). Then I had Noahcoin... I've been *VERY* patient with that guy: I don't like to burn customers: they are what make me money!! BUT if they think they can take good ol' naive Devvie for a ride... Well, they should be careful! I had the same problem with the Sherlockcoin-developer: he just kept postponing payments... Until I had enough. Then I will expose and tweet the living daylights out of them! As I should.

So when I exposed the Noahcoin developer (also Dutch) I got an anonymous tip... As shown above! Tip was good, but old. For that I'm truly sorry - and I'm also sorry for the stress that I might have caused you... I actually liked xxxcoin (I should still solve my sync problem though - maybe an old client?) but when I was told they were part of the same team as Noahcoin.... Well, I had to react! Smiley

Hope all is ok - people looking for an investment do *NOT* have to run away!! The scam team member has been removed from his position by long...

Thank you!

All you had to do was download the new client  Wink

Glad it's working, though

That's our point... I got the upgrade from v1.0.0b V2 to v1.0.1 V2 but THAT would crash. Making a copy of the wallet, starting with a completely FRESH wallet and the put the old v1.0.0b V2 backup wallet BACK to replace the current, new, fresh wallet will work...
