Just getting home and seen this on the screen.

How much Ram do you have? And how much where you using to mine with.. Looks like you ran out of Ram

16Gb of ram and using the setgenerate command. Not using the ram parameter.

That is strange.. This is the first I have seen of this.. As far as I have seen we have no reported memory leaks..

I will keep an eye on it. Just restarted it this time with the mining button. using the latest wallet on Windows 7 64bit.

thanx just keep us posted

Ok guys a little bit of help for a newbe POW miner. The first 3 days I got one block per day using just the click menu mine icon. The 4 th day was the 17th I got two blocks. Since then I got nothing. I have tried to use some of the different switches posted in the thread. not been able to mine a block in about two days. I have a AMD FX 8350  4ghz 8 core 16 gb mem. Can someone who understands this a little better please pick the appropriate switches for my computer and I will try them next.  Thank you guys in advance for any help you can give me. Fish
I'm using this : -gen=1 -minermemory=2 -genproclimit=4 ( that's work very well for me) 3-4-5 blocks/day ( I have the same CPU)

This only uses 4 threads?

This is 4 threads per 1 gb of ram.. minermemory=2 means 2gb.. So it's 8 threads total

Ok well first we have seen a nice bump in Hash power.. but are you Linux or Windows? Windows you can try 2/8 (ram/threads) it may run stable and a little faster (if your system is to laggy or your hash rate dips.. go back to a 2/4)... if your Linux 3/4 should give you a boost and run more stable then the 2/8 from the Windows.. Windows is limited at this moment to 2gb of Ram

In win wallet it is not possible to use more than 2 GB ram. Wallet crashing

Yes.. this is a known problem

Hi guys, how can i mining this coin with more of 1 pc  Huh

You can mine this coin with as many computers as you would like
Thanks for answer dude, but i mean if i have more of 1 pc how point the others pc to mining in 1 wallet together?

Well when you say it like that.. I did'n think you meant that way at first.. bc I have answered this question so many times.. at this point you can only solo mine (solo meaning every PC mines separate)

If you want all your blocks going to the same wallet, use -miningaddress (all your blocks go to this address)

If you missed it and don't feel like reading through the thread to use -miningaddress="address" and or optimize your miner see below

1. Make sure your wallet is closed

2. Make sure your Hodlcoin-qt.exe is on your Desktop

3. Bring up Run (Press [Window] + [R] on your keyboard)

4. Paste below in Run
%userprofile%\Desktop\HOdlcoin-qt.exe  -gen=1 -minermemory=2 -genproclimit=4 -miningaddress="address"

*Note put your address in place of "address" like this "HEX8QLWqQ7p7MFNiN8CMrMjC2CYAy8pwi9"
**Note minermemory should be "1" or "2" on windows any higher and you ger a Runtime error
***Note minermemory is the amount of Ram your using and must be multiplied by genproclimit to equal totale Threads you would like to use example (-minermemory=2 -genproclimit=4 is 8 Threads)

I have a question for you Sir. I am new to POW mine if you use these switches and HOdlcoin-qt runs will the little miner pick show it running or no? I have use the above instructions and had no luck the last 24 hrs just noticed the mine pick was not there. UGH second guessing myself.

All is good!! its just a bug in the code.. its all fix now and will be released soon..

why no website?

It's on the list of things to do..

Hey Wolf, yep,

Proof of Work

1GB AES Pattern Search POW. Pattern Search involves filling up RAM with pseudo-random data, and then conducting a search for the start location of an AES encrypted data pattern in that data. Pattern Search is an evolution of the ProtoShares Momentum PoW, first used in MemoryCoin and later modified for use in CryptoNight(Monero,Bytecoin), Ethash(Ethereum).  CPU/GPU friendly.

Oh HELL the fuck no. You don't have getwork in there - there needs to be a serious bounty before I implement GBT for this thing.

Thanks for taking the time to look over the code and giving us your opinion.

Can I term deposit many inputs in same and only address what I have in received address box?

Could you rephrase this question?

I've stopped getting blocks daily with 70H/s Sad In 4 days I have only hit 2 blocks pretty much in the middle of that time & they were minutes apart.

We need a bloody Standalone CPU Miner compatible with the 1GB AES Pattern Search POW Algorithm with Stratum support so pools can get setup !

We have a bounty for the CPU Miner, last I looked it was up to Ħ2000

Ok with Windows and a 12 core it's a little tricky.. Bc genproclimit must be powers of 2 (2,4,8,16) so 6 will round up to 8 and 2 X 8 = 16 so that's a no go!

So your options are
1/12
2/4 ( only 8 )

Edit: 2/8 may also work Freetrade said "you can run more processes than cores"

Okay I just have to test which option I got better hashrate.

Yes but remember your hashrate must be multiplied by the minermemory number..

Example:
minermemory =2 and hash=10 then total = 20h/s
minermemory =4 and hash=10 then total = 40h/s

Okay (y) So with wallet miner and 1gb ram I got about 165-175 hashes and that is the same as run with minermemory=1 genproclimit=12 of course.
with 2/4 I get like 85 so it will be 170h/s
with 2/6 I got 101, so it will be 202 h/s
and 2/8 I got max 115, so it will be 230 h/s

So I will mine with this %userprofile%\Desktop\HOdlcoin-qt.exe  -gen=1 -minermemory=2 -genproclimit=8 -miningaddress="address"

Thanks for helping!

No problem Help is what I'm here for..

I was mining just clicking mine button in wallet, but will I get more effiency if I optimize my wallet miner?
What -gen=1  means?

If I have 30gb of ram without use can I put more than 2 on minermemory?

If I can put example 3gb on minermemory and I have 12 threads on my processor can I run my wallet miner to -gen=1 minermemory=3 -genproclimit=4 ? (so it will be 12 threads (3x4=12) )

Linux yes you can go higher then 2gb but Windows not yet (bug)

On a Linux rig I have gone up to minermemory=4 -genproclimit=8

Maybe some one have gone higher?

Okay. So I have to run my wallet with -gen=1 minermemory=2 -genproclimit=6 so it will be all my 12 threads with 2gb of memory.
And what is that gen=1 means on code?

gen=1 enables mining

Ok with Windows and a 12 core it's a little tricky.. Bc genproclimit must be powers of 2 (2,4,8,16) so 6 will round up to 8 and 2 X 8 = 16 so that's a no go!
