OMG I went and checked the price of HOdl on YoBit Exchange and I was very miserable... The last I seen it at was 16k Satoshi and now it's at 8k... ish.
I have coins locked for ages so it doesn't really bother me besides the ones I get through mining which is pretty much useless now.
same here i bought this for 16k now im very upset even my coins is staking Im not sure if i can still catch up with this current price, hope dev still have another good plan for us. HOdl is a long term project! You need to be more patient. Besides, I think that HOdl coin is a right choice for you. "Q: Why do you HODL? because we suck at trading and we know we suck at trading if you can pit pat piffy wing wong wang make a milino bucks no problem bro then you don't need to hodl" OMG I went and checked the price of HOdl on YoBit Exchange and I was very miserable... The last I seen it at was 16k Satoshi and now it's at 8k... ish.

same here i bought this for 16k now im very upset even my coins is staking Im not sure if i can still catch up with this current price, hope dev still have another good plan for us. That makes 3 of us ! I decided to start mining again & contacted someone I could rent some servers off, then what do you know.... ? Price decreases which made the coins I mined worthless... I am hoping Freetrade, Fuzzballs & the team will bring future improvements for the coin so that it's value increases in price. I suppose we must all do what the coin says and HODL Yup lol that really sucks. I wish there was some sort of way to get the coins out of the term deposit and maybe take a penalty so in the event the price skyrockets you can withdraw them and take a penalty or something along those lines. I don't think this is a good idea. You either HOdl or you don't. That's the whole point. Agreed, there should be no way to break your HODL. It completely defeats the purpose. If for some reason the devs decide to put that option in, make the penalty severe. 100% of any interest earned on that HODL deposit during the HODL and 50% of your original deposit are forfeited. The forfeit amount all goes out as a single transaction with 50% going to a HODL developer's address to further the project and 50% goes into transaction fees that are awarded to whoever mines that transaction block. If those are the terms, by all means break your HODL and I'll look forward to seeing your transaction block reward show up in my wallet. Well I feel it necessary to post that, this has never been a function even discussed/thought to be added to HOdlcoin.. I know crypto and blockchain functions are still a new concept to many ppl.. And a lot of ppl are still use to conventional thought (banks...) But there is no take backs.. Once it's locked on the blockchain it's locked on the blockchain..

They are using also the non gui wallet + stratum proxy for it ... With all other coins based on this opensource wallet type it works without any problems... HOdlcoin is a fork of BTC codebase.. BTC has moved on to GBT and these miners don't use the proper GBT (template) for hodl.. If you would like to donate to building the Proper GBT miner follow this thread.. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1427633.0

In regards to the 5%~ standard interest, is there a way to find how much has been earned from this from the wallet or blockchain? Also, to confirm, after 30 days worth of blocks, you no longer earn interest and just need to send it via wallet to another address in your wallet?
You can find interest earned on each "unlocked" output you own in Coin Control.. Locked (deposits) show this in the deposit table already.. We are working on a better way to identify older then 30 days.. But for now you can just check the confirmation count in Coin Control.. Any output over 16,830 confirmations it's time to move it.. Simply send it back to yourself.. If you need help finding or using Coin Control reference my video below http://youtu.be/_7CUiORCZGY

Hello guys, How can I mine this on ubuntu via ssh ? I get such errors: In file included from hodl.cpp:1:0: miner.h:10:21: fatal error: jansson.h: No such file or directory #include <jansson.h> ^ compilation terminated. This is for Wolfs miner pointed at suprnova.. sudo apt-get update apt-get install autoconf pkg-config libcurl4-openssl-dev libjansson-dev libssl-dev libgmp-dev git automake gcc make git clone https://github.com/wolf9466/hodlminer-wolf cd hodlminer-wolf ./autogen.sh ./configure CFLAGS="-Ofast -march=native" make -j sudo make install hodlminer -a hodl -o stratum+tcp://hodl.suprnova.cc:4693 -u Weblogin.WorkerName -p WorkerPassword -t8 "t" is the number of mining threads you have.. If you want to solo mined to your local wallet on Linux follow this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1383479.0

What does conflicted mean? I HOdled over 12,000 coins a week ago and today on maturation it says conflicted and has not given me my coins back...
Did use a custom change address in the outputs? You can simply run -zapwallettxes=<mode> Delete all wallet transactions and only recover those parts of the blockchain through -rescan on startup (1 = keep tx meta data e.g. account owner and payment request information, 2 = drop tx meta data) Zap runs mode "1" by default Of course as always backup your wallet first

Hey! I need a little help with the stratum proxy. I cannot get it work with any hodl pool(mostly trying suprnova). The miner connects throught the proxy, starts mining and is hashing normally. But there is no any single share submitted or accepted. Tried different miners and different stratum proxies with no success... Any idea?
Could you provide more information.. This is the first I have seen of this issue.. So we will need more info..

Hello guys!
Some stupid q's...
1. I started solo mining using the follow command line:
hodlcoind -datadir=D:\App\Roaming\Hodl -genproclimit=7 -gen
I placed data dir at second drive and limited cpu cores to 7 and started the mining.
But how can I provide the daemon with address to use in mining???
2. Is it possible to use Wolf's miner in solo mode?
3. Is it possible to setup something like a mini-pool (daemon or stratum server) for my owm miners?
1. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1383479.0Is it possible to change the RAM usage on a windows wallet, if so how?
If you missed it and don't feel like reading through the thread to use -miningaddress="address" and or optimize your miner see below 1. Make sure your wallet is closed 2. Make sure your Hodlcoin-qt.exe is on your Desktop 3. Bring up Run (Press [Window] + [R] on your keyboard) 4. Paste below in Run %userprofile%\Desktop\HOdlcoin-qt.exe -gen=1 -minermemory=2 -genproclimit=4 -miningaddress="address" *Note put your address in place of "address" like this "HEX8QLWqQ7p7MFNiN8CMrMjC2CYAy8pwi9" **Note minermemory should be "1" or "2" on windows any higher and you ger a Runtime error ***Note minermemory is the amount of Ram your using and must be multiplied by genproclimit to equal totale Threads you would like to use example (-minermemory=2 -genproclimit=4 is 8 Threads) 2. Nope not until we get funds to code a proper GBT miner.. 3. Sure if you feel up to the task go for it..
