Hey all, I was thinking about changing to solo mining for a while to see if there is an improvement or not compared to mining on a pool. I am currently using Urays miner on his US pool. I thought is was possible to solo mine using this miner, but I am uncertain of how to proceed. Obviously I need to change the http://127.0.0.1:8125/rewardassignment.html to my address. But can I just point the miner to localhost and start mining or are further steps required? Do any of you users use Urays miner for solo mining and have a working config-file that you would be willing to share? Should I perhaps use another miner that is better for solo mining, any suggestions? The coin worked properly, nothing broke, mining was smooth but DEV if you're gonna be this quiet, might as well close the thread 'cause you're killing your own coin.
Dev's username is MistCoin TEAM... where's the team when no one answers even the simplest questions here?
In other situations for some coins I was able to write a conspiracy theory what I have figure out developer is planing... in this case I have neither idea or any clue what this guy is doing. There was such interest in this coin because of it's fair start, but dev really blew up. He could make team from us which where willing to help but he obvious have some problems with the communication. This is same dev as MACD dev... |

waiting for gapcoind...
Is something wrong with my configuration of .bat file?
My .bat file looks like "gapminer.exe --host 127.0.0.1 --port 31397 --user myuser --pwd mypassword --threads 7"
I have created .conf file in AppData folder and using username and pass from this file.

what is your .conf ? Apart from pass and username ofc... And just to be sure you are running gapcoind too right? btw you can mine directly with gapcoind with setgenerate true . As far as i know gapminer still isnt faster than core miner... When I try to open gapminerd,it closes.For sure this is the reason...But how can I check why it closes? |

Current version of AMD miner totally sux. Not only it dramatically underperforms Nvidia, but also miner freezes within 24 hours. I have 4 small rigs with 7950s - all randomly freezed in the last 24 hours. Hashrate compared to 750ti is also miserable. Unless AMD miner is significantly improved, this algo (&coin) will die soon.

YOUR_Tb * 100% / Total_plot_size_Tb = (YOUR_Tb *100% )/ ((2^64)/4/240/baseTarget) Pardon me if it's a stupid question, but how to use this formula? For example, I have 20 tb plots. What is the chance to find a block solo? I get about 0.9 blocks/24 Hours with 16 tb |

Instead of a pump of just trying to get some people to through money in NEM at launch, we need to look at the long game.
That means taking our credibility and image quite seriously and always trying to be good.
We need to create a good narrative.
Something that in 3 years from now they can make a documentary about, like about how a group of people came together and made this new thing called NEM great.
BTW..... Are any of you devs getting footage of you living in small dark cramped run down apartments with your hair all nasty because you have been coding for the last 30 hours? And then you talk in a kind of mad man's sleepless ramble about how your will die or make this thing work??? That makes for really great footage later.
I agree with you.We need to think about stabile growth of price instead of pump.Because after every pump will come big dump I'm sure we will see big dump at launch,like it allways happens.You can not change nature of people. Each of us can put simple promotional stickers in public places,at phone cabins,or just on walls,wear clothes with "NEM" There are a lot of things,what we all can do for promotion of NEM. |
