Here's something for charity-minded CannabisCoin supportersdeemington points out on CANN IRC (irc.freenode.net #cann) CoinPayments Coin Vote for Charity. More info here. It's an opportunity to help the Electronic Frontier Foundation as well as raise CANN's profile. Each vote will require a donation of BTC0.001 (or LTC/DOGE equivalent). Remember that EFF's work is especially important for mmj users given that the Feds still insist marijuana is a schedule one "no therapeutic value" drug. The Electronic Frontier Foundation should be marijuana advocates' favorite charity. Access to CoinPayments merchant tool suite certainly won't harm CannabisCoin any either ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) So, do some good charity work and help CannabisCoin at the same time, vote early, vote often, vote BIG Deal sweetener:If anyone is interested they can post their transaction details here, or PM me if you prefer to keep your good works discrete. First vote and most votes have the right to claim a personalized custom B4zz4 desktop wallpaper (with their own supplied picture background, if they wish) in their choice of size. Wallpapers will not carry CannabisCoin logo unless requested. Naturally, first and biggest voters also win the right to not claim a personalized custom B4zz4 desktop wallpaper if that's their preference ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Edited for clarity.

Hmm... some mumbling and a little despondency on show, already? Take a look a BitTrex's CANN chart, change the view to 2 weeks. See those steps of push and relax to higher "stable" values? That's typical of a pump regime. It's cheaper and more sustainable than trying to drive the price where you want it in one single push. You should also note what "ninja trader" had to say a few pages back, IIRC "ninja trader" was formerly known as "fontas pumps" or something like that. Be very aware that when he says "see you at 15K" he means to drive enough excitement to push the price to those levels but will bail below that level and before 4/20, having made many times his investment. Remember too that how far CANN retraces after the push towards 4/20 will be highly dependent on release of the first CANNdy product. Will that be around 4/20? Who knows but we can be sure it will happen at some point. For all we know these may be the last days you can pick up such a valuable coin at such discounted prices - ~2K is an absolute steal. Moreover, those who are paying attention will have seen that the October 20 event banner, which has been on this page for 6 months, disappeared in the last 24 hours. Watch that space. * For goodness sake kids, look at many sources of information and think about what is going on. Don't let a twitch in a single variable drive your mood. Life is good - enjoy it and share a smile with someone new today. * And the pinned tweet is showing again - my most sincere apologies for misleading anyone ![Embarrassed](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/embarrassed.gif)

Now kids, play nice. While there's a little squabbling going on here ∆9 is tweeting, apparently from the CannLAB. Check it: https://twitter.com/CannabisCoins/status/580176549854461952His next tweet was "Breed for the NEED". Seems obvious development of CANNdy strains continues. Could make the pump more expensive. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Donation? Okay. Are the cultivators atm perhaps awaiting a fair price before the coin provides such a price independently of that peg? Sounds tricky.
I wouldn't think so since they are currently donating the product, not selling it for CannabisCoin. It is the dispensary that gets the CANN, not the grower. Whether that changes in the future remains to be seen. From the OP: " The Yes We CANN movement is about medical marijuana dispensaries and shop owners that participate in providing safe, affordable, and quality medicine utilizing CannabisCoin as payment. This movement is a way for dispensaries and shop owners to show their appreciation to their patients by donating some medication into the “CANNdy” inventory." So the pool of donated product is hoped to be larger than the amount specifically donated by participating growers. However, the OP specifically states: " CannabisCoin is the payment solution for Marijuana dispensaries, retailers and merchants." So yes, CannabisCoin is indeed intended to alleviate dispensaries' cash problem that comes from the banks' reasonable fear of Federal fund seizure of "drug money" (cannabis is still Federally illegal). General transactions other than donated CANNdy inventory however are NOT pegged at 1 CANN = 1 gram but take place at market exchange rates. People tend to get stuck on the 1:1 peg and think they can get 2,000 pounds of marijuana for a little over 900K CANN (about $4K at today's prices), which is never going to happen. To begin with State laws will limit how much people can buy/possess at any one time. I suspect that as CANNdy inventory grows more dispensaries will install wallets and handle CANN transactions and then, when Arizona goes full recreational, people will be able to buy 2 or 3 grams per day and the exchange rate of CANN will head towards parity pricing. Hopefully that will help to answer your question.

Huge surge in volume! 60 bitcoins, nearly as high as it was at the start of the climb 10 days ago. A fat 1.8 bitcoin buy order at 1600 sat.
I thought we were losing steam and sagging back down to 1000-1200 but I guess it's always hard to know.
If I were guessing (and I am ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) ) I'd say last week was a successful test pump and now a pump group is buying up in earnest in the run up to 4/20. It will be a wild ride with likely a brutal dump from about 4/17 or 4/18.

Please excuse my laziness, but don't feel like reading the entire thread and perhaps this could help others. Can someone tell me simply, is OP's claim of "Backed by real Marijuana 1 CannabisCoin (CANN) = 1 Gram of "Canndy" Marijuana"" - is this claim legit? Have people traded coins for weed yet? If the price of 1 gram of weed is ten bucks, how come the price of this coin is so low?
Short answer is "Yes, it is genuine". Community member synapse_showsumctrl posted a picture of their transaction in December here. groggin is also quite correct in that the Herbal Wellness Center is the only publicized participating dispensary so far (I think that's in Phoenix, Arizona but I'm an Aussie and not familiar with the 'States). As a proof of concept I believe that has gone quite well. Wider participation will of course require a lot more donated CANNdy product and that means waiting on not merely a single grow cycle but an entire sequence of events: - Test grows to find suitable candidate strains for grow locations and desired features.
- Testing and selection of plants to propagate.
- Actually propagating and then distributing to participating growers.
- Growing the crops for donation - all CANNdy is donated by growers and/or the participating dispensary for the peg exchange.
- Then there's the drying/curing, testing, packing and distribution of the product.
It is this time-consuming sequence that has led to something of a hiatus in news and apparent activity which, in turn, keeps the CANN price down. How long this hiatus will last and how quickly things will move once it ends is a matter of conjecture.

I love it that everyone is so enthusiastic. I wonder though, whether everyone is keeping a close eye on developments. For example it looks as though the Arizona Cannabis Cup has been quietly deferred until November. See http://www.cannabiscultivatorscup.com/. I have no idea whether that has been announced anywhere, I didn't see it. If you are counting on the publicity from this event to boost the price of CANN in the short term then you need to be aware that the event countdown has changed from about 5 weeks to 7 months. It is likely that event facilitators figured April 25 was simply too soon after a marijuana event-saturated 4/20 weekend, which seems sensible. I just don't know. I do recommend, however, that people factor as much up to date information as possible into their investment planning. Have a nice day everyone and keep sharing those smiles ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Got a marijuana picture you'd like to share with the Yes We Cann community?
Would you like to help promote CannabisCoin (CANN)?
Perhaps I can help you to do both.If you are willing to share your marijuana picture(s) as desktop images and have them used to promote CannabisCoin then upload them to a picture sharing site (imjur, for example) and send the link(s) to me along with your permission to use the image(s). I'll see what I can do to use them to promote CannabisCoin and the Yes We Cann movement. You can PM me here or email b4zz4.code@yahoo.com. Thanks for your consideration and do share a smile with someone new today Yes We CANN!

I love the news , if there are just some real press releases about this , non-crypto people will start buying , this will be the first coin with actual value and real world use and could just explode , I will just hold my coins and maybe I will be rich in 1-2 years ! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Yes, plenty of people are looking to make a lot of money from CannabisCoin and the Yes We CANN movement. Best of luck to them. I wonder how many give thought to the effort involved and expense of this enterprise? How much is it costing ∆9 personally? I have no idea. Some clues may be had from articles like this one though: Marijuana cultivation build-outs most expensive in Arizona, Colorado - There can be extensive build-out costs in outfitting buildings for medical marijuana cultivation – and Arizona has some of the highest build-out costs in the country as a legalization effort could find its way on the 2016 ballot. ... (Mike Sunnucks, Senior Reporter - Phoenix Business Journal) Just thinking out loud...
