341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Monero survive exchange de-listings and low merchant adoption? on: May 11, 2024, 05:38:33 PM
That is very bad for them to shutdown their operation. Though I have not used their services before but i have heard it time without number and according friends that were using the service, it was nice as they said. But the way Monero has come so far I don't think it will just stop like that because of government pressure and they can only stop  if the participants or the population is not much again. Even though exchanges are delisting it, the p2p can function well and I think Monero is a decentralized cryptocurrency so the p2p should work.

If Monero has finally shutdown then bitcoin is also in trouble because the government pressure on bitcoin is also high and we can see that from all the countries. My country has delisted p2p transaction of cryptocurrency from many exchanges. But we are planning to use the real p2p so Monero will survive and when it over this trying period, then it comes stronger.
342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who's responsible for the dead coins? on: May 11, 2024, 12:21:20 PM
This should be a very simple knowledge to acquire because there no need to even also someone but naturally you will understand it. Ithe general blame must to the go to the developers because they control everything and not the investors. The investors are only following the way the developers program and doing with the project and they have nothing to do with the project so if the project fails it is the developers and not the investors.

Probably they lack of trust the project they have created base what they have done. Though the investors will make the project more important and popular but the developers controls the server and if the project is launched on decentralized system then the investors control the price in the market base on supply and demand. But the failure of any project is from the developers end.
343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What did you think about the future of dogecoin? on: May 11, 2024, 11:24:53 AM
I advise you not to sell it at the losing price because definitely Dogecoin will rise again in the future and therefore keep holding for about 6 years to come. If you sell now you will be a loser in the Dogecoin investment. Those who are investing in dogecoin will not regret in the future all though the movement of the coins is very low but that should not stop anyone from investing and keep holding.

When we talk about the best top 10 cryptocurrency, dogecoin is also there though as I said the price increase is very slow compare to others but it is better than those shitcoins.
344  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Naira have been recorded to be worst performing currency in the world on: May 11, 2024, 10:41:33 AM
Last few weeks naira was tag as the 3 best performing currency in the world. And I think those who analysis that where not good enough. And when they said so the exchange rate was about #1100 and today again Nigeria economy is the worse performing currency in the world. As for me since when Tinubu took over di mantle of leadership in di country di economy has been bad till now.  And na so di s economy go dey till 2027. Tinubu is not there to make things good and to spoiled things.
345  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Is bitcoin still stronger than stocks? on: May 10, 2024, 08:53:59 PM
Everybody has he's or her own. the main issue of cryptocurrenqcies these days can be either stable for a long period of time, or they can stay highly volatile for a long period of time. Nowadays, cryptos are more stable than stocks, but I don't think it will be a very long-lasting trend, because all traders are familiar with cryptos. this comparison can be determined only by a thorough technical analysis or a fundamental one if we talk about long-term intentions.
When I dey see all these threads,  I come dey imagine if this na really a local board because there is no atom of pidgin or local language. Even though we dey use two languages at least make we dey add small pidgin inside to make am say na local board. If everyone do like this then where be the sweetness of the local board. Oh yest Mr Op, bitcoin is definitely better than the so called "STOCKS" you dey tok about.
346  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Hope yah still accumulating and holding. on: May 10, 2024, 08:39:07 PM
Bitcoin will definitely surpass the predicted $100k but it is no more anytime soon again even the price too is going down now and if the price was rising gradually then we would have known that the price will hit the $100k but as it is I don't think so. So the best is to be hodling till the next bull run again. And for now make everyone keep on buying and storing enough in their wallets. Bitcoin will rise again in this year and next year before it will finally go down to the dip and bear market again.
347  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin taxation on: May 10, 2024, 08:18:42 PM
This is one of the major thing or reason they are fighting all the private bitcoin companies like mixers and others so that they can control bitcoin fully and collect tax from any transaction each person will do. And once they one come to pass then the purpose of creating bitcoin has been defeated. Even now the too the top reason of creating bitcoin has been defeated and it was to pay things online if I am not mistaken. But nobody remember that part of the project again and everyone is going to the part of investment.

They don't want bitcoin to be legally tender but fighting to make sure that bitcoin should not take over the local currency. And to make sure that those who are using bitcoin pay dearly. And tht is why the taxation is coming heavily.
348  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: OKX has stopped its p2p service for Nigerian customers on: May 10, 2024, 07:58:13 PM
This has been the news on the Google Chrome pop up news everyday that Nigerian government is planning to remove or stop the p2p trading from all exchanges in the government. And delisting of p2p in the centralized exchanges have not solved anything instead dollar is increasing day by day so their fighting against dollar rise is a vain so why can't they rechannelled the fight to other areas tlso that they can do well. They are deceiving us that they fighting dollar but they are the ones do the exchange so who is fooling who here?

Let see which of the exchange will go down again after the OKX. Nigerian government should employ the youth to work with them, to advise them what to do. The Youth is more knowledgeable than the old cargos.
349  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Dem Oga at the Top Talk Say Crypto Machines Fit Spoil Economy on: May 10, 2024, 07:42:06 PM
It is only the ICT ministry or department dey understand small about cryptocurrency and any other side na shit. The CBN governor nai be the worst. If to say the CBN governor understand cryptocurrency him for put policies wey for make people to use cryptocurrency with fear and tremble. From the beginning when I see the fight Nigerian government dey fight against these exchanges na ignorant. As for me if they really understand this crypto of a thing they would have benefited from it more. But not w that they are fighting to remove p2p from the exchanges, Nigeria youth go launched another decentralized exchanges to do the trading with p2p and na their their eyes go open.

Custom officers don't know anything and they are just there seizing things that they don't even know about. I don't blame them because they re just secondary school leavers. O, level certificate owners are there in the custom service.
350  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump & Cryptocurrency on: May 10, 2024, 02:14:17 PM
Trump just made it very clear that he is the pro cryptocurrency candidate in this upcoming Presidential race. Not only has he stated that if you are into crypto you should vote for him while mocking Joe Biden as not knowing what it is, but he also stated that he is officially accepting cryptocurrency donations for his campaign.
Thay is nice move and I believed Americans those who are in cryptocurrency will vote massively for him so that things will work for them smoothly. Cryptocurrency or Bitcoin is not a bad thing but our leaders are looking at it from the opposite side of the coin. If a leader accept Bitcoin then the cryptocurrency community in the country will not have problem and I believed all those Bitcoin mixers owners will support Trump for the forthcoming election. Let Americans citizens vote a credible leader in this election.
351  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can a newbie make investment before learning? on: May 10, 2024, 01:54:53 PM
Yes it i possible foe a newbie in cryptocurrency to invest before learning, and see how it works. As a newcomer to the ecosystem you don't have any knowledge about the system and because of the way people were telling you to invest, you can meet a friend to invest for you and tell him to teach again how to go about the investment. Then from there you started learning and monitor your coins to learn more. Learn how to purchase more to the portfolio and also learn how to sell.

And I think it is one of the best method to invest in Bitcoin. But don't invest with someone you don't know and you don't trust. If not normally it is good for you to know it well before investing and that when you know the person and trust the person as well.
352  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I hope I'm doing the right thing. on: May 10, 2024, 01:46:33 PM
Just like the comment I made recently. You have know the basic elements of Bitcoin first before going into the investment business. You can call them components of Bitcoin and they are.
1. Wallet. It is the component to store your coins
2. Receive. In the wallet you will see receive. Which is to you.
3. Send. In the wallet you will see send. Which is to another person
4. Blockchain. The transaction process
5. Public key. Your address to receive coin
6. Private Key. 12 seed phrase that you have to keep away from people, just you ATM pin.
7. Nodes. It makes up the Blockchain
8. Bitcoin price. You have to know the price of Bitcoin before investing. It will help you to know the dip, Bear market and the Bull market with the all time high.

I think when you have known these things then you can invest in Bitcoin without fear and tremble. The number 8 is very much important foe all investors. Make sure you when when Bitcoin is in the bear market and you buy more and you have to know when it is in the Bull run and the All Time High.
353  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A bigginner on: May 10, 2024, 01:12:23 PM
What will one need to know before investing in Bitcoin? Because as a bigginner you need to know the strategies before you start investing.
Since you are a beginner, you have to know the basic knowledge or element of Bitcoin investment so that you won't panic in the time of the dip or the bear market and also in the bull run to sell them off. And number one thing to know is the general knowledge about Bitcoin and if it i possible other Cryptocurrencies. Then secondly the basic knowledge about wallet which is where the second question might arise which of the wallet is good to use in the investment of Bitcoin and you will see many people will recommend electrum and sparrow wallet but as a beginner it is good you use electrum then when you advance you can add sparrow wallet to it.

And thirdly you have to know how to receive and send coins. Once you open electrum wallet you will see the receive and send button click on the receive button then your address which I the public key will be shown there and your copy it and send to whoever want to sell you Bitcoin and after when you paid the person then the coins will be deposited to wallet. And when you want to sell them click on the send button but before then you have to copy the person who want to buy the coins and paste it as you click send. Then they the total amount or unit of Bitcoin in the box below the address you have posted. Then clicked Okay. Op if you need the pictorial demonstration the processes to buy Bitcoin to you newly created wallet or to deposit coins it and to sell coins from it let me know. I will teach you the how to do it. These are the basic things to know before investing in Bitcoin or other Cryptocurrencies.

And finally don't buy Bitcoin in anyhow vendor or platforms, and I don't know the particular country you are living. And please whenever you buy coins from and Centralized Exchanges (CEX)  don't keep the coins in the CEX but move them to the Self custodial wallet you have created to save your coins if you are interested in the long term investment. And whatever question you want to asked about Bitcoin and you want it secretly, you can ask the following users here and they will teach everything you need to know. The Cryptovator, The Sceptical Chymist, Charles-Tim, CryptopreneurBrainboss, icopress, LoyceV, Hhampuz, GazetaBitcoin, yahoo62278, Hugeblack, Fillippone, JayJuanGee and etc. You can ask them ny question concerning Bitcoin. Stay safe.
354  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are the importance of this non_ custodial wallet? on: May 10, 2024, 12:09:24 PM
Non custodial in the sense that it is not control by a third party but you are the one control your cryptocurrency by yourself. And the term non custodial is not correct according to experts it is called k own as self custodial wallet because you are the one controlling the coin. So I will also prefer to use the term self custodial and not non custodial.

When I came to forum I was always using the term non custodial but recently I saw a post that says it is self custodial and nothing like non custodial. And made some research in it and I also like to use the term. The important aspect of it is that you are your bank and no third party involvement.
355  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is going to happen with Bitcoin now? on: May 10, 2024, 10:58:23 AM
According to experts when there is a climate change in the world many things change in the world and things are not like before again. And yes everyone was saying that bitcoin price will rise after the halving but the price of bitcoin rise before the halving and it hit the All Time High twice before the halving so some scholars came again to say thY bitcoin has hit it All Time High before the halving therefore it will not come again after the halving but we still have the hope that bitcoin will hit $100k to reach the All Time High in the season.

So we're all waiting the $100k all time high.
356  Economy / Economics / Re: Harmful effect of robot to the world. on: May 10, 2024, 10:51:18 AM
If the robot can do the work of the humans then the economy should be intact because what the human were doing the same thing the robot will also do so I don't see any bad effect on that angle but it will create a high rate of unemployment because many things that humans would have done have been removed from them then robot will do them but the matter what robots can't eliminate human labour you have to k ow that if not computer would have done everything human would have done. The robot is already a programmed engine and it a limited functions in the programming process.

Therefore it can't do everything that human can do. Human think wider range to cover and solve many problems at a time. But robot only performance the program tasks. Even without robots governments have reduced the work forced drastically to reduce cost.
357  Economy / Economics / Re: Money is all wealth? on: May 10, 2024, 10:40:58 AM
I have only heard that money can't buy love if the person loves you but for me money can buy love because if a girl is from a poor family and she is in love with a guy and when guy that has money came to hand in marriage and pay everything and give enough money and enough to the parents and I don't think the girl and the parents will reject that offer and a good example is Regina Daniel, who was an actress in Nollywood. Therefore as for me money can buy everything. Money can even kill someone and that is what is happening in the world. They pay the bad boys to go and kill their enemies.
358  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Share your top mistakes in crypto - learning from others experiences! on: May 10, 2024, 09:59:31 AM
I almost released my coins to a Centralized Exchange Vendor without seen my money because he told me that he has made payment so I showed released the coins and I almost did that but my mine told me to stay calm and see the alert first and unknown to me he has not paid it was when I told him that I have not seen the alert he told me to send him another account details and he paid to the new account and I released the coins for him. So when you are trading be careful because those vendors most of them are scammers.

Then another mistake I made was keeping coins in Centralized Exchange and when government crackdown the exchange I almost lost the coin. I kept it in the period when the fee was high though the coins were for spending and I immediately transferred them to another exchange and sold them.
359  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a core subject in our schools - Good or bad idea? on: May 10, 2024, 09:38:16 AM
For now the world is still controversial and skeptical about bitcoin so many will not like to include bitcoin in their curriculum but as time goes and years to come, bitcoin will on it own will included to the curriculum without stress. And for now I don't think it is a good idea but you can only discuss with the education management to teach bitcoin in the scheme of work. Because since it is not in the curriculum for now it can't be teach generally. But a volunteer lesson note.

And also depends on the country if the country loves cryptocurrency then you can and it is a good idea but if the country is not a cryptocurrency friendly then I advise you not to include it.
360  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What to do to get merit reward? on: May 09, 2024, 05:40:56 PM
Hello everyone, I have been here for a few weeks/months now but I'm yet to receive "merit" so I'm just worried, please can someone tell me what I will need to do or how long I will need to be here for before I get merit and other rewards?
Op you are a newbie and that means you are just coming as a newcomer to the forum which you don't know anything about therefore you are here to learn so what you have to do now is to read other people posts and comments to know what they're talking about. That should be the first step of any newbie and not rushing to create threads to rank up or fetch merits. Then the second thing to do is to educate people what you have learn. In addition let me summarize everything, you are here to learn because you don't know what is bitcoin is all about and when you have learned, then you have to teach others who are new in the forum that will ask this the same question.

I think others have said the same thing in the past and now. So just follow the instructions and you can achieve your goal here.
