341  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] Scammers use Patreon to send SPAM emails on: January 29, 2024, 03:44:20 AM
Patreon is also partly to blame. They had a very weak security protocol. All a scammer had to do was to sign up on their website using random email addresses of other people and without email verification, the newly created accounts were able to subscribe to scam accounts. Worse still, there would be notifications of posts to unverified email addresses. So the scammers figured that they would just create phishing messages that are sent as notifications to unsuspecting user email addresses. I hope they fixed the loophole.
I do not think that is that easy If it is that easy, then this is a big problem.
There are many famous services that you can use without verifying the email. However, we have not heard of any similar cases from them.  no matter how much these services try to develop, it remains linked to email provider. If that provider takes additional measures, I think that the phishing rate will decrease by 90% or more.
342  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: EncyptoNotes app on: January 29, 2024, 03:34:40 AM
The user did not respond to any questions, but developing such applications is only used by a small group that is interested in privacy, and therefore it is difficult for them to trust your application.

I can't find other tools on Android that can do this it seems only Openkeychain app is the only app available I don't know for IOS it seems it does not yet exist.

You can try https://keybase.io. It is open source and available on IOS and has end-to-end encrypted messages. IOS is a closed source operating system and they have back doors, so using it for privacy may not be a suitable option.

343  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] Scammers use Patreon to send SPAM emails on: January 26, 2024, 01:09:07 AM
I saw a lot of similar complaints on Reddit. It seems that scammers have sent this scam to thousands of people. I hope that none of them lost their money, but I think it is time for Gmail to develop a little. In recent years, they have not provided effective tools to combat phishing, while there are other service providers that have provided many edits that can help mitigate such fraud.
344  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: EncyptoNotes app on: January 26, 2024, 12:59:06 AM
What you think? Is there anything like that exists?
Yes, it is easy to use any open source Pretty Good Privacy (PGP) code and then encrypt messages or notes, and there are already many open source programs that enable you to do this.
If you want to develop a closed source application, there is no guarantee that you are using a correct encryption algorithm with a good key size (bits), as it requires trust in you and a high risk with the presence of open source applications.
345  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: One more question regarding collisions on: January 26, 2024, 12:52:03 AM
@Peter Green has a good answer to this question which you can find here https://crypto.stackexchange.com/questions/33821/how-to-deal-with-collisions-in-bitcoin-addresses
The numbers may change slightly, but the probability is very small (1/2^37) and can be considered negligible, or you have a better chance of mining Bitcoin legally instead of stealing it through hash collisions.
346  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Playing crypto for many years without holding Bitcoin. on: January 25, 2024, 11:51:11 PM
The best advice is, if you do not know the basics of technical analysis and risk management, then HODLing $BTC, because simply the performance of your investment portfolio will not be good because of your risk in a high-risk asset and without sufficient knowledge. In return, Bitcoin grows on the basis of the dollar annually, and long-term investment for more than 4 years is a good return.
347  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Should Binance users be worried over the exchange? on: January 25, 2024, 11:43:53 PM
Should Binance users be worried over the exchange? Just opinion when you put money on centralized exchange then you should worried about it, especially in this case binance has struggled to fight with the SEC and CZ to step down from the CEO position.
You do not have to leave any crypto in Binance if you do not want to trade. You can trade with an amount of 1% to 3% of your entire investment and withdraw profits periodically to your cold storage, as short-term trading with a rate of 1% to 3% will not pose a problem if you lose it all, in the worst case scenario make the percentage 20%.
For long-term trading such as BTC/USDT, you need to deposit and withdraw currencies after conversion and then do this every few months.

Tho Binance is such a big exchange and what happened to binance might sake the world of cryptocurrency. according to coingecko and coinmarketcap the binance still at the top of number one exchange in the world
This is true, but if a problem occurs, it may take years to recover the money, and you may not be able to do that, and the basis of cryptocurrencies is that you should not trust a third party.
348  Economy / Exchanges / Re: 🟦BitChanger - The best place to exchange Crypto on: January 25, 2024, 01:29:53 AM

Your exchange started operating last year in October according to you but by December, you claim it had already processed 1 million transactions? Wow! Very impressive of you in Just 3 Months, especially give that your first trust pilot review came just 7 days ago

They have pictures of the support team. The pictures are edited to make it difficult to follow and there are no additional pictures or information about the team. The service registration date has not yet completed 6 months, and if we dig deeper, I bet we will find more. Everything related to them is suspicious.

https://bitchanger.io/our-company

I made a reverse search and did not find any data about the team or the company registration number.
349  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [Searching] No KYC Trading Plattform like Kucoin on: January 25, 2024, 01:19:28 AM
central exchanges begin by not requesting much data, mostly just the email and sometimes the username, with a100 bitcoin per day. As time goes by, the service expands, and regulatory pressures increase, they will be forced to make it have KYC restriction, so that it becomes 50 bitcoin, then 10, then 10k, then 1000 dollars, and then you cannot do anything and only withdraw is available.
Therefore, all central services that you will use in the future will have a similar story.
Currently Poloniex and MECX do not ask for a lot of data, but things will inevitably change in the future and the change will be rapid. Use them now with small amounts and keep in mind that they may ask you to complete KYC at any time.
350  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next Bitcoin Move - Price Prediction on: January 25, 2024, 01:07:07 AM
A quick rebound from $38,000 may give a signal that we will not go far in this correction, as indicators such as (MACD) and (AO) are still interacting positively with the price, so at the present time we will not move much and we may test $38,000 several times until mid-February. Next, ETF news has become less interactive, which means that we have reached the point of consolidation now unless anything new happens.

351  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Global Impact of Bitcoin Remittances on: January 25, 2024, 12:26:13 AM
The joy of Bitcoin will only be known by those who want to transfer money between countries that do not have bank agreements, or there is only Western Union with its high fees, and the slow procedures in transfers, but since the majority use Bitcoin as an investment, coinss are rarely withdrawn outside exchange, or there is rarely a real use of Bitcoin, and at best. In cases where you can buy digital gifts or a cup of coffee, you will find them skimping on fees and dealing with Bitcoin just like stocks.
352  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if you plan to buy BTC for big money: Would you reuse a tested address? on: January 25, 2024, 12:12:50 AM
Last night we (five friends) had a lively discussion about reusing receiving addresses. The consensus was: for small amounts, new (never used) addresses are the way to go. Especially to protect privacy.

But what if you plan to buy BTC for a lot of money at once? Like 10,000 or 50,000 USD or even more?
The larger the amount, the more difficult it is to hide it. It is true that using the same address will reduce your privacy, but you can still use other methods to enhance your privacy, mixers, connecting to the wallet via Tor, and using full node.
using a new address for each deposit does not mean that you have enhanced your privacy if you Use SPV wallet (without TOR) or post your MPK publicly.
353  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Tor Powered Microblog & Privacy Coin Exchange on: January 24, 2024, 11:52:00 PM
Please do feel free to name or DM me the name of the site in question so that it can be removed. Some of the links in the portal have not been re-verified in 12 months.
The links are very random. Sometimes I feel that the link to the service is incorrect. There is no connection between your description of the service, which I quoted below, and what is on the page.

The Blackpage mobile app is a micro-blogging platform powered by The Onion Router (Tor) with support for privacy coins such as XMR, ZEC and more. By default, this app allows users to register and post short-form content to the darkweb pseudo-anonymously.

Some links lead to PayPal, Amazon, and some porn sites. Nothing talks about privacy.
354  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Aged Eth addresses/private keys on: January 24, 2024, 11:17:59 PM
It's always suspicious when you are offering something that looks too good to be true and you're not telling us why, we think that it is for airdrops or tax purposes, better tell us why you're buying Aged Eth addresses/private keys what's the purpose if not these two reasons I don't recommend people selling their Aged Eth addresses/private keys until OP give us reasons on what specific method will it be used.
if he gives you reasons, it is not possible to verify that they are true, but we can summarize that what he wants is the history of transactions, because any deposit of tokens or an attempt to claim  could fail if the seller sets up a fast bot to withdraw coins, and there is no guarantee that the private key has been sold more than once, the question of why he wants an old history of transactions may give thousands of answers whose authenticity we cannot verify.
355  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: TokenMarketCap - We list your cryptocurrency projects for free on: January 24, 2024, 04:07:38 AM
It is best to set conditions and criteria before listing, otherwise this means that you are obligated to list all applications or that your conditions are hidden. The website design is a little different from the traditional idea of tracking currencies, but how will the currencies be arranged? Is it arranged according to the most recently added currencies, alphabetical, or what?
When I clicked on one of the currency prices, it redirected me to https://www.livecoinwatch.com/price/WrappedBitcoin-WBTC Are you using livecoinwatch in the background??
356  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Electrum Wallet on: January 24, 2024, 03:46:44 AM
This going to sound idiotic to you but how do I get this address?
First you need to check whether there are transactions in your wallet, whether coins were sent or not, Look at bottom below. Is it green? Go to the history and check the latest transactions. If the wallet is empty (does not contain any previous transactions), when was this wallet created?
If it was in the past (several years ago), it is most likely Legacy. Create a new wallet and check the “Legacy” option.

The password does not mean anything as long as you have the correct seed, it is an encryption of the old wallet file.
357  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Other ways of keeping your privacy without using mixers on: January 24, 2024, 03:32:12 AM
It is true that using Monero breaks the connection between input and output addresses and enhances privacy, but it is not considered a mixer because if your address is added to the blacklist, you are pushing the problem from your address to someone else's address, who if he decides to deposit, that address will be frozen or blocked. If you decide to reverse transfer from Monero to Bitcoin, there is a possibility that you will recover the same currencies and you will lose exchange fees.
358  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gaurd yourself this year against crypto scams on: January 24, 2024, 02:52:51 AM
👉get rid of your get rich scheme mentality : I know a lot of persons would be expecting me to say read their whitepaper, but like I said this guys are getting more smart and making a good whitepaper with excellent road map and all would not be a problem to them.
This step is essential, as greed leads to hasty and irrational thinking, which is how scammers trick you.

👉 track their anonymously: so far I've noticed that most scams don't project any team members to the public and if they do they are mostly fake and this way could be very effective than reading a whole whitepaper. Check if the project has any real life representative and follow them up and see if they are posting in line with their big project in hand. Why i feel this is a good idea is because they are still afraid of the government too.

I know a fraudulent woman who used to appear on many channels and promote her currency, but then she disappeared from sight and went to India while stealing millions of dollars from clients’ money.
The lack of photos of team increases the possibility of it being a scam.
fake photos of of team confirms that it is a scam.
The appearance of a team does not necessarily mean that they are good or that it is not a scam.

👉only invest in bitcoin 😎:  by know we all know that bitcoin is the only reliable crypto right now. And I have history to prove that, to me every other  project is not decentralized as they claim to be because they still have a kind of supervisory body even tho they claim not to, people did fund those projects remember and they would want something, nothing is free, no altcoin is completely decentralized.

As a starter yes but for someone with experience, invest long term in Bitcoin and look for every investment opportunity available to you.

359  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 120 USD to transfer 25 cents - Taproot genius transaction on: January 24, 2024, 02:31:14 AM
Sooner or later the day will come when inscription spam will decrease. It is true that it will not stop, but it will not affect Bitcoin fees. As everything happened in the cryptocurrency market, starting with ICO, then DEFI, then Ethereum NFT, and now Bitcoin inscription, and after several months we will see something new (maybe L2 tokens) in their attempt to sell random data to other users at a high price, whether this data is new coin, photos, video clips, etc Until then we may continue to see +30 sat/vB
360  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin has never pass ATH before halving but it has always dip don't panic. on: January 24, 2024, 02:22:18 AM
I do not see that someone who knows that Bitcoin is in an upward trend this year and next year will think about panic. What is happening in terms of prices now is an ideal opportunity to buy more, and it may be the last chance ever, because if the price rises strongly, we will most likely not see levels of $30,000, so instead of panic It's a perfect opportunity to buy more. Selling now would be stupid.
