341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to keep your money in bank? on: March 03, 2024, 09:35:18 PM
That's true I also think that centralise exchangers are more unsecure place for saving our money. Like if we remember the ftx incidence then we will got the things. I will say that it is better to holding your fund in bank rather than holding in centralised exchangers. But for saving our fund the best way is holding the fund in a cold or hardware wallet I mean the decentralize wallet. Where we are the owner of our own Bank. No one have control in our money.

Saving all your cryptocurrency in a non custodial wallet or hardware wallet. But we should not also skip the security part of holding your private keys by your self and keeping it safe for recovery purposes. Irrespective of the fact that non custodial wallet are better than banks or exchanges, it is still very risky especially if you are a careless type that can easily misplace your seed phrase, you'll suffer from loosing all your cryptocurrency. So we also need to be careful with keeping our  seed phrase on one piece.
342  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Anyone +18 Play Gamble? on: March 03, 2024, 09:22:57 PM
And I believe that at the age of 18, only one person out of 10 knows what it means to be “responsible for one’s decisions,” and knows that every decision needs to be carefully thought through, and especially those decisions that relate to money. I remember myself and my friends at 18 years old - we were lazy and stupid, we didn’t care about anything at all. And the future seemed distant and foggy. We didn’t know the value of money, and I’m sincerely glad that I didn’t stumble upon gambling then. It seems to me that in general only from the age of 20 do we become truly independent. I mean the majority of people, because there are always individuals - someone at 50 is like a fool, and someone at 14 is serious, as if he had given birth to life.

It's funny how you honestly admit things Grin your right about the age and decision making. I've seen so many young person at that age range without purpose in life, and responsibility and that because 80% of those kind of persons are from rich homes. Before the age 18 I have already started working out things for myself, and when I got to the age, my parents could leave certain issues for me to handle all by myself. I wasn't born in a rich family so trust me I know what is like to always sit down and plan your future for yourself without anyone pushing you around. However at the age of 20 that when you become more mature enough to see how life really operate. But those at the age of 18, irrespective of the fact that they are teenagers they are responsible for their actions no matter what, because at that age range they can clearly tell the difference between right and wrong.
343  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Do not overwork yourself on: March 03, 2024, 08:42:20 AM
With the way the country be like this, my brother only source of income no go fit meet your needs oo so I no go fit blame anybody wey say em wan over work emself up because things don change. If you no double hustle how you wan take survive na, e no easy for anybody oo na why people don dey enter as many business as possible just to make sure say dem put food for table. Everyday naim the cost of living they increase.
344  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it possible to inherit a gambling debt? on: March 03, 2024, 08:37:49 AM
If you mean taking loan to gamble, then definitely before taking the loan, you'll have to drop a coleteral almost worth or higher than the loan amount, so I don't think situations like this would be inherited by the the children of the deceased gambler but rather if the loan is  not paid before the agreed duration then the loaner has all right to take full possession of the coleteral it might be a house or any landed property.
345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Anyone +18 Play Gamble? on: March 03, 2024, 08:28:54 AM
Those who are 18+ are qualified to gamble because they are mature enough to make decisions so any one complaining or blaming others for their gambling losses are just joking around, because no one would buy their stories, besides they were not forced to gamble but rather they chose to take that part after being introduced to it. But some gambling sites for not perform KYC so definitely under age are likely to also gamble without their notice. On the other hand performing KYC would only make the site to loose more customers as not all gamblers like to reveal their identity.
346  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Behavioral Change!!! on: March 03, 2024, 06:43:15 AM
Generally, those who gamble, if they can win money, then they are happy in their minds. People lose twice as much money as they get from gambling. Gambling Usually people who have billions of money may not have any problem if they lose a lot of money due to temporary gambling but middle class family people who play gambling as an addiction will have a lot of trouble to make up the money they lose. So people of such family never have to gamble. If middle class family people are addicted to gambling then their family has to suffer because of gambling usually there is no peace and happiness in any family.

If a wealthy person becomes addicted and plays gambling irresponsibly he will likely become broke, except he realizes himself earlier and see the destruction that it will lead to. So all class of person will go broke if they irresponsibly play gamble, majority of the time, we loss more than our winning, but the few wins in which we get from gambling  makes us excited and at that moment we forget about all the losses in which we have encountered during our gambling.
347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: seeking good projects on: March 03, 2024, 06:22:23 AM
Based on the topic's question, if you are willing to invest into cryptocurrency then it all lies in your hands to pick the right coin for yourself. Aside Bitcoin which is the best and the most trusted cryptocurrency taking other crypto into your portfolio should be a decision you made for yourself. Because questions like this here in this forum, you probably get answers from those member who are promoting their shitcoin and they tell you it's safe meanwhile it could be possible the coin has no potential, so the best thing to do is to for you to make your own research.
348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What causes altcoin season? on: March 03, 2024, 06:15:59 AM
Yes, Bitcoin is always the leader and before order into currency followers, so there for Altcoins follows the bull run. most of the market in investing in altcoins is not really advisable and I am myself I may not advise you because sometimes it follows the trending all this big investors what they do they invest big amount in the coin and the supply coin goes up so if you can be able to follow the trend it will be more better because it is not defined as bitcoin everyone know the price everyone know how is everyone know. So if you’re able to study to check out you can proceed.

Although some altcoins are presently following after the price movement of Bitcoin and if you had invested in them you also get some profit from them, but Bitcoin being the head of all cryptocurrency is not yet done with it's bull and I believe after the halving when the price correction takes place that is when most of those altcoins will pump same the bull run after the halving. Coins like Ethereum have been following Bitcoin for a while now, and it will also break a new ATH if Bitcoin breaks its own.
349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to keep your money in bank? on: March 03, 2024, 06:05:53 AM
In banks or centralized exchanges, our money isn't secure because we don't personally hold the key to our funds. Entrusting our money to them means placing it in their care. A safer option is to convert it to bitcoin and store our bitcoin in a non custodial cold storage hardware wallet. This ensures it's under our personal care, safeguarding not only our wallet but also shielding it from the effects of fiat money depreciation due to inflation.

Banks and centralized exchange aren't place where we ought to save our money. Especially in centralized exchange, banks could be used to save just very little amount that you'll be using any time sooner and that money could last there for upto months but it's not advisable to keep you funds in a centralized exchange for even 24h due to the fact that it's the major target for hackers and they are working tirelessly to make sure they come up with solutions to crack through the exchange.
350  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Road to Bitcoin bull run on: March 02, 2024, 11:04:55 PM
Now sef the price of Bitcoin don reach $61k and the thing dey sweet everybody wey get Bitcoin wey dey hold. I no go fit say na the end of the semi bull run before the halving because of say Bitcoin don dey waka for sideways movement. There is still hope that Bitcoin will get to ATH before the halving and after the halving the price of Bitcoin fit go extra high, so e never late for who wan buy Bitcoin now. Wattin I believe Na be say, if you invest now in years to come you go really see say na the dip naim you buy because of the increase wey Bitcoin go take.
351  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Newbies abeg🙏🙏 on: March 02, 2024, 10:54:51 PM
In as much as we are all experiencing the same hardship and problem with the government and  cryptocurrency news we still have to behave orderly by avoiding spamming. Now both Sr men and newbies just dey make the local board be like say na new forum, I know how painful this present situation be for people but I got still like clear una say e nor good for the health of our board. Make we nor loose our standard at least we fit discuss for one thread about government and cryptocurrency matter instead of make everybody dey create em own thread. Currently out posting structure is not on all, e no good make we repent and keep the board free from spam posts . If you mistakenly make post and person don already talk about that same matter, you fit lock your thread and let the other thread keeps going.
352  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Don't relax using the exchange on: March 02, 2024, 10:42:20 PM
With the current news, anyone who keeps his money on exchange is playing with fire, our government just arrested two binance executives showing that they might take even more drastic actions that might be the end of binance in Nigeria, besides is poor security to keep your holding's in binance, unless to sell them off imidiately.

Use alternative exchanges like kucoin, mexc for trading
Then use electrum , blue wallet to hold your crypto

Engage in self custody now more than ever, decentralization is your way out not centralizion.

Person wey done hear wattin dey happen wey still keep em money for exchange, even if say no be binance, that person dey really play with fire. The government dey find all means to take stop any p2p wey get high rate, them wan make r be say na them they controll the value of the p2p market na why Dem dey destroy every parallel market, but truth to be told that na just the surface of the real cause of the inflation, if to say we get better export, while we take only few import, e for make the economy balance small pass like this.
353  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Another alternative on: March 02, 2024, 09:26:57 PM
With the charge wey our government don gum binance, I go advise make we avoid the exchange for now oo, because that kind fine no be small money be that oo, make binance no come use pepper eye take freeze your coin Oo, so the best thing na to look for any other exchange wey dey work well, I done use remitano do small trade before after binance block p2p and e work perfectly so you fit try am instead of to dey go play with fire for binance. It's better to avoid problem than to solve am oo, because e fit cost you wattin you no plan for.
354  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Forex Crisis: CBN revokes operational licenses of 4,173 BDCs on: March 02, 2024, 08:10:05 PM
You just nailed wetin I carry for mind for dis thread, our government just de scratch di surface, instead for dem to face di root cause of di reason wey our currency take de experience all time low everyday, insecurity for di country wey de discourage foreign investors, wey de affect our local food production, lack of basic amenities like electricity to encourage small scale businesses, dependence on importation, including fuel wey we get di natural resources. Make we see weda di Binance and BDC clampdown go solve our problems for di country, make naira begin to de appreciate and make di prices of commodities for market begin to de come down.

U can imagine ! Now the talk of national grid collapse don turn normal thing for our ear, we get many generating stations wey nor dey even work at all, but them dey there, same with refineries we get some but Dem nor dey work. The country nor dey even encourage small growing companies, if you just start Dem go carry task finish you. Like for my area only one person fit get like 5 different task receipt wey e plaster for em work shop or business room. The one wey pain me pass naim be this fuel wey we dey buy, something wey na we dey sell out the raw material which is crude. I nor go lie you, this country get money na just say dem no wan spend am on our need rather them dey focus on wants and latter Dem go claim say dem be economists.
355  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Forex Crisis: CBN revokes operational licenses of 4,173 BDCs on: March 02, 2024, 02:28:55 PM
But the problem is that as the primary reason for the devaluation of naira has not been solved as Nigeria depend more on foreign goods and services than they are exporting, will naira continue to increase in value? It depreciated to almost $1400 yesterday or day before yesterday in the parallel market but now at over $1500 again.

You see what I believe is that they are just scratching the surface of the main problem, all they are doing now is just manipulation and suffering innocent individuals and organization. They are actually now playing politics rather solving  a problem, if not why would dey fine binance $10 billion dollars, if paraventure they successfully won what would they do with the money other than using it for their selfish reasons and give us stories. I don't think this people are even interested in solving the issue, because the profit they got from trading crude oil when dollar increased over the naira could have been used with others to repair and plant refineries such that we don't fully depend on import.
356  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Poverty will reduce if only people can do joint business in Nigeria. on: March 01, 2024, 11:56:23 PM
Sometimes, some post fit no practically be for merit but rather a deep thought 💭 and I believe na normal something especially coming for a newbie account because most times, you no go know say your brain fit think deep until you join forums like this before you realize 😂. I get the point of the op but my ghee @op, try relax and understand say life no be bed of roses as so many  no fit just happen the way you Dey think am .

I personally don understand say, one of the thing wey this country lack na trust and thy very trust been don die some very long time ago especially because of money matter and e go Dey very difficult to trust the next man with money matter especially to start business wey no even Dey certain of success.
No be say people no fit come together do a collective business but which business fit really Dey profitable wey over 5 persons for share?

Make I also let you know say, most of these companies get shares and also get collective ownership, and as such, no be only one person Dey easily run business.

Before I go fit approve of joint business na when una don know each other or get the same target to achieve, plus say the amount wey una wan take start the business no be small amount. Companies wey dey do joint business no be small money Dem take dey start am, or else na farming you wan do, and we all know the wey herdsman dey carry their cattles dey go kill people farm plants. So inside farming sef you fit go loss make you no even see half of the money wey una take start sef. Especially now wey the price of things don increase which kind business wey 5 person go do with that kind amount?
357  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Be aware, no use person wallet . on: March 01, 2024, 11:43:56 PM
OGA na only JJC wey no know watin sup nai go fit fall because I know say many people out there dey fund of using person head when it comes to things wey money dey involved so e go dey normal say person wan try to outsmart another person because of the issue of close P2P trade. Moreover self e no make sense say you go put money for another person account beside watin do other exchanges even if you know wan use the cashlink withdrawal method for binance.

True talk, people wey never sabi the main the main naim go fall for that kind thing, if not wattin go make person wey don learn about crypto and the security for inside go let person deceive am about binance block account, they only stop NGN p2p but you fit send your money out to another wallet, even today I transfer some money from binance to another wallet and e work within a minute.  Then for the other part about using scammers app as wallet l, that one both expert sef fit fall oo, because them fit just clone the app or website and if you nor dey careful them fit sama you wattin no nice.
358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: March 01, 2024, 07:14:17 PM
Premier League is one of the best in world due to its competitiveness and surprises we can't predict about results while any time any team can give surprise just because of this right now it's not easy to predict about winner with top three teams are having just 2 points difference and in near future we are going to have matches between them which will give better view how things will be near the end of this season all three teams are having same level of quality and consistency is also on their side even we have too many injuries in Liverpool, but their bench power is also impressive.

That what make premier league outstanding, the competition amongst both big teams and small team. It's funny how a team with high amount of relegation just comes up and beat some teams in top 4. Betting on the premier league these days is a bit scary as even 1.0 odd could turn your bet status to be lost. However the top 3 team are really competitive but if Liverpool fails to keep this record of winning then it's obvious Man City would take the league again.
359  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Newbie Crypto Advice on: March 01, 2024, 06:52:30 PM
Hello I am looking to invest my 20,000 dollars for retirement but I don't know the best crypto for me to put into to save myself from inflation. I'm 64 years old and don't have the time to learn the ins and outs of this crypto stuff so if anyone can give me advice I would appreciate it.
You can contact me through the forum or via email I appreciate the help

I can't judge you for real, but your first appearance looks really suspicious, and anyone who read the op would probably think that you are just an altcoin or someone trying to catch some fun, because this is what most users post when it's an alt account. And I don't think at that age range learning about crypto would be very difficult, beside you could just stick to Bitcoin as it's a reputable coin and try keeping your identity and some useful personal information anonymous, because you never know who's watching you. Ensure to keep your seed phrase safe and written in paper our you could buy a hardware wallet.
360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If I have $40,000 to invest in one #cryptocurrency. on: March 01, 2024, 06:34:09 PM
Aside Bitcoin I don't have much confidence in any other coin. Though Ethereum is also a good project which seems promising as he follows after Bitcoin, but Bitcoin is the only coin I can assure you of making such profits within a decade depending on the amount of Bitcoin you hold. Most person take newly launched altcoins for investment but not with that significantly high amount, if you are to invest in altcoin then you must make proper research Instead of following after trends.
