341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto is so great on: April 27, 2019, 12:28:44 AM
Although Satoshi's true identity is still a mystery it can't be denied that many people who got into the blockchain boom in its earlier stages have benefited in some way, whether it be from learning about the technologies evolution, developing their own cryptocurrencies or profiting from having invested early and there's still plenty of room for development and innovation, so it'll definitely be exciting to see what lies ahead
342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sorry We are Closed on: April 27, 2019, 12:03:30 AM
There's always room for more exchanges provided they offer cheaper fees, increased incentives, and better quality customer service to their users, but the market is already saturated and it's not easy for smaller exchanges to grow their customer base substantially enough to compete with the larger more established ones so make sure you don't invest in any new startups that aren't going to be a viable long term proposition
343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Patience & endurance on: April 26, 2019, 06:03:20 AM
Perseverance is required if you are going to survive the crypto market due to its highly volatile nature and thorough research into market trends is also necessary to ensure you're well informed in order to construct a balanced portfolio with manageable risk so make sure you have both of these covered before you begin investing
344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would Ethereum remain the number 1 smart-contract platform in 2020 and onward? on: April 26, 2019, 05:06:28 AM
Ethereum is facing increased competition from many new platforms that are fast gaining market share notably EOS and Tron being the foremost however, it still has the largest development team globally and is aiming to solve it's scalability issues within the coming year so it's not likely to lose its lead anytime soon
345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty Vs Trading on: April 26, 2019, 04:27:30 AM
Bounties are not as rewarding as they were during the last bubble, but they are not gone completely and as the market picks up again there should be more opportunities, but for anyone skilled enough trading is another way to make some profits in the current market and conditions are still good for investing in many well established assets even those that have performed moderately well recently
346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why does crypto keep screwing me over?? on: April 26, 2019, 03:39:11 AM
Perhaps you're just investing at the wrong time, so instead you could try to analyze the market more closely to determine when an asset is demonstrating that it is in oversold conditions because this is the best time to invest and if it gets a little cheaper straight afterward don't panic sell just ensure you hold it until it appreciates to its potential realistic value just avoid any short term high risk options or make them the smallest part of your portfolio
347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too much crypto payment projects but little people accepting crypto payments on: April 26, 2019, 03:01:17 AM
You are right lots of startups are too focused on producing the fastest theoretical transaction speeds and designing fancy looking apps and not on real world use cases and these projects will likely be superseded so make sure you avoid investments of this type if they don't have a decent strategy to achieve broader adoption

350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: STOP With The ICO Garbage on: April 07, 2019, 01:22:45 AM
Hype is not necessarily what defines a good token sale although it does generally result in greater demand from retail investors which is very important for liquidity, but this shouldn't be your only reason for investing, however, much of the attention is now focused on the new wave of IEOs which can offer better quality products so just make sure you determine which startups actually have a real world use case, a decent marketing strategy and a sustainable ecosystem before you invest
351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you still hodl? Then we go to you! on: April 06, 2019, 02:51:01 AM
Day trading is a completely different strategy to HODL'ing and it can yield good profits if you have the right skill set a decent amount of capital to play with and lots of spare time, but not everyone has all of this available to them and a large percentage of investors prefer to adopt a long term strategy of building a well constructed portfolio and then waiting for it to appreciate however both strategies can be equally as rewarding provided you make sensible choices with your investments
352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stake allocation on: April 06, 2019, 01:36:21 AM
Forum ranking is the most practical way for signature campaign managers to distribute stakes because content can vary greatly between each individual member and it would be far too difficult to allocate stakes based entirely on post quality however, some campaigns do require higher standards e.g. minimum post length, improved quality and consistency
353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could a coin price be locked in place? on: April 06, 2019, 12:29:52 AM
Assets with a fixed price are commonly referred to as stablecoins which are typically backed by collateral and can be used for transacting and hedging against market volatility whereas assets that don't have a fixed price can be more speculative in nature and are primarily used for trading and investment purposes so it wouldn't be very useful to have these set at a fixed price
354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: alt millionaire on the next bull run on: April 05, 2019, 04:15:21 AM
This is an ambitious aim to have and you may just succeed if you develop a solid investment strategy e.g. make smart buys when the markets is over sold or when a particular asset dips in value or research when there's upcoming events that can contribute to a projects short to medium term market cap and build a well balanced portfolio comprised of decent quality assets and manageable risk then be patient and wait for it to appreciate
355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Knowing when to sell off your crypto investment on: April 05, 2019, 02:56:57 AM
Deciding when it's ideal to liquidate assets in your portfolio depends on your strategy, whether you've invested for short term or long term gains, and if it's the former then you would normally sell once an asset has appreciated to a desired amount or if its the latter then you would usually be holding it until it reaches its full potential but either way its not advisable to invest if an asset becomes overbought so always analyze market trends carefully
356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: btc hodling or a dash masternode? on: April 05, 2019, 01:52:54 AM
Dash masternodes require a considerable outlay, but if you can afford to acquire one the passive income it can generate can offer decent returns no matter the market conditions as this asset has performed in a moderately well balanced fashion in recent history and provided there's no increased competition in this area it should continue to do so which would make it a viable long term proposition
357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment in ICOs decreased by 5800% on: April 04, 2019, 04:43:23 AM
Retail investment has declined due to obvious reasons such as scams and ponzi schemes, over hyped products and services, lack of protection for investors, and regulatory uncertainty for startups, but this is beginning to change with the arrival of IEOs and STOs which should help improve the quality of what is on offer and it will be interesting to see if these newer crowd funding solutions become successful and help revive the crowd funding market place
358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is this a good idea? on: April 04, 2019, 03:13:10 AM
It's always good to have a variety of assets in your portfolio not just one solely so it's well balanced, but it depends on what you expect to gain from it and what type of strategy you prefer whether it be lower or higher risk, but regardless of this always make sure you invest in good quality assets with that have real world use cases and unique innovations and if you prefer low risk then just stick to the top ranked alternatives and be patient and hold them for the long term
359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BCH Price To Touch 2000 USD by 2019 End on: April 04, 2019, 01:10:25 AM
Bitcoin Cash is only a fork of the original technology and it doesn't really offer any major advantages over Bitcoin because it will also be incorporating its own scaling and privacy features in the near future and besides that it doesn't have any of the controversy of the recent fork debacle that helped cause the slide to an embarrassing overall valuation of the market so it's unlikely it will be a better long term investment option and be more speculative in nature
360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Warning: This John McAfee-Pumped Cryptocurrency Has Major Red Flags on: April 03, 2019, 03:05:26 AM
Anyone who gets paid large sums of money just to shill a lower ranked project obviously has their own agenda whatever that may be so I'd be wary of investing into anything that is endorsed in this fashion, however, that's not to say the project might not have a unique innovation or lack potential just ensure you aren't buying into a pump and dump scheme or vaporware
