341  Economy / Speculation / Re: Fulfill your dreams from Bitcoin, on: April 11, 2024, 02:47:48 PM
-.-

Which country are you from? I was quite surprised to see that real estate and housing in your country are quite cheap compared to my country. I am also planning to buy land and build a house in 2025 when I will sell my bitcoin and crypto assets when they hit my target. But the price I have to pay will be much higher than yours and that is the reason why I still cannot realize this dream of mine. To be able to own a house including real estate, it costs me more than 100 thousand and that's why I don't want to sell my investment soon. Currently I have enough ability to realize my dream, but if I do so I will have no capital to continue investing so I decided to wait a little longer. I hope to soon achieve my dream so that my wife and children can have a real house to live in.
342  Economy / Speculation / Re: Good news= up in price while bad news = down in price. on: April 11, 2024, 02:38:12 PM
In my opinion, I think actual events play a bigger role than news. Of course, I agree news does affect the price of bitcoin but it's mostly only for the short term. If negative news comes out and the news somehow is related to the financial, economic market, or crypto market, it might affect the price, but it would quickly recover and correct itself, same thing applies when it's positive news. We saw what happened when news broke that a big whale or the US government was about to sell its bitcoin, or a big exchange was being sued, the price dipped but it recovered quicker.

Then imagine an event like FTX crumbling, or the ETF approval and a halving. We can clearly see that these events have a more lasting effect on the price of Bitcoin than a rumor or news. These factors affect demand and supply more and that is why they have a longer effect.
In my opinion, if we are a trader, paying attention to news and macro events is extremely necessary. If we are long-term investors, I don't think this news is necessary because it only shows the short-term impact. In the long term, bitcoin has almost only one main trend: up and only up.

In addition, I don't trust news or events too much, I think everything is just being used by market makers to manipulate our psychology. They use news, FUD, events... to manipulate psychology and legitimize their manipulation in the market.

Invest in bitcoin and if we always pay too much attention to these things, we can easily fall into the traps of market makers because they will always find ways to make us sell bitcoin at cheap prices. As a bitcoin investor, I think we should just focus on holding and only sell when we reach our goals, and we should ignore everything that is spreading in the market.
343  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm curious about your thoughts on when Bitcoin might hit $1,000,000 on: April 11, 2024, 02:07:04 PM
It is true that bitcoin is becoming a new trend and receiving a lot of attention from people around the world, but let's not ignore the scenario that in the coming years there will be a better currency than bitcoin created and it will surpass bitcoin. So what we should do is enjoy the present moments, don't think too much about things that haven't happened in the distant future. My immediate goal is to still take profits in the upcoming bull season and I will base my next plans on the market situation.
That's a possibility because we can't know what might happen in the future, however, even if there is no other asset or technology created that surpasses Bitcoin and its popularity, it would still not be easy for it to reach $1m because for that to happen, Bitcoin would need a lot of adoption and a huge inflow of investments because the price only increases when there is high demand and that demand would only make it go that high if there are more and more money being invested in it.

The current market cap of Bitcoin is a little above $1.3T when the price is around $69k, so for it to reach a price of $1m, it will need to have a market cap of more than $18T or something and that is huge. So, we might not be able to see that happening very soon even though it might not be impossible.

Many people only look at bitcoin supply and price to make paranoid predictions, and they never think about bitcoin's capitalization. It took gold more than a hundred years to reach a capitalization of 15 trillion, and the stock market is the world's largest financial market with a total capitalization of more than 90 trillion. It is an illusion that many people think that an asset that is not widely popular or has not yet been accepted worldwide can reach a capitalization of 18 trillion USD. You're right, it's not going to happen anytime soon and at least in our generation, it's not likely to happen.
344  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: April 10, 2024, 05:59:12 PM
I'm 100% believe Liverpool will win, the match will held in Anfield, Atalanta were lose against Cagliari and Fiorentina, it's really shameful for Atalanta can lose against mediocre teams. I predict there will be many goals, probably 4-1 favor in Liverpool.

Two competitive matches are Benfica vs Marseille and Milan vs Roma, the other one Leverkusen vs West Ham, it will be easy match for Leverkusen.

I'm just going to enjoy it when this quarter-final match is held, whether it's Liverpool, Leverksusen, or others, the result is not yet certain. we only talk based on statistics and data, in reality the results will be known after the fight is held/finished. Likewise for Liverpool, it is not certain that they will win the match smoothly. even though on paper, several teams are favored to win the match.

Of the several matches available, I am interested in betting on just one match, namely, AC Milan and AS Roma. but I won't review it today, I'll do it tomorrow anyway. so, let's just follow every development and at the same time look for important information for the matches I marked.

@Plaguedeath This is going to be a competitive match in the Europa League in my opinion. Both of the teams would definitely like to win this match. But the other thing is, both of them also have to concentrate on their domestic league. Liverpool has to give a lot more importance to the English Premier League. Because they have a real chance to win the English Premier League title. the competition is very high though. so I don’t know if Liverpool will actually be able to concentrate too much in this Europa League competition. Let’s be honest the competition of the Europa League is not as glorifying as the English Premier League at this moment. So I expect Klopp will rotate some players for next match against Atalanta, and keep the core team as strong as possible for the Premier League.
345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 10, 2024, 04:13:20 PM
empoli 3 - 2 torino[/b][/color]

As for Torino, I also hoped that they would be able to win but unfortunately they lost, Empoli has been a team that when they play hard they are strong and Empoli came into this game with a sequence of 4 games without winning and they were very lucky to win the torino. With this victory, Empoli moves a little further away from the relegation zone

This was a result that I genuinely did not expect. I have point out is that the goalkeeping from both the teams were really bad. well not only the goalkeeping. The defense from both teams were also equally bad in my opinion. They were unable to defend worth anything. Every time any attacking player was approaching the final third, it looked like it was going to be another goal scored. Because the defense kept backing up and backing up. And for both teams the attackers actually got free space. Massive win for empoli. I think they will have a very good chance to stay away from the relegation zone. after so many losses this was really good result for them.

If I talk about Torino, it is really badluck to conceded 3 goal to a team who has not any win last 4 games. Juric could have played Vojvoda, Sazonov or Lovato in Tameze's place role, I mean right back position. Juric needs to rotate some players to keep their position standard.

Liverpool will meet the agent of Ruben Amorim next week, and try to reach an agreement on personal terms.
The Portuguese coach wants to takeover Jürgen Klopp.
Source: https://x.com/DeadlineDayLive/status/1777027550847373559

I personally think that it would have been better for Liverpool to actually go for some other coach. To be honest I thought they were going to go for Xabi Alonso. But just because they are meeting someone doesn’t mean the deal is done. I just hope that Liverpool will make sure that the next coach will be able to bring as much success as they had with Jurgen Klopp if not more. And I doubt very much that he will actually be able to bring that success for Liverpool. Alonso is probably a perfect replacement. But of course, it is not as easy as it sounds. Alonso is probably dreaming of managing Real Madrid and that's why he might stay another season in Leverkusen.
347  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm curious about your thoughts on when Bitcoin might hit $1,000,000 on: April 08, 2024, 01:33:11 PM
Currently, Bitcoin reached an all-time high of $73,000. If new ATH is created in the Bitcoin market in 2024 and stays up to $100,000, then in 2025 Bitcoin can reach $100,000 to $170,000. Bitcoin will still have to wait many years to reach $100,000,000. But I think between 2030 and 2036 it could go up to 1 million dollars. As we technically cannot make predictions, I have made predictions with my best efforts, I don't know how successful my predictions can be.

Frankly speaking, the fact that bitcoin can reach 1 million USD or more is just our prediction and expectation, we have no guarantee that it will happen whether it is 10 years or 20 years later.

It is true that bitcoin is becoming a new trend and receiving a lot of attention from people around the world, but let's not ignore the scenario that in the coming years there will be a better currency than bitcoin created and it will surpass bitcoin. We are on a speculative market
We are on a random/unpredictable market

So everything about speculative approach and number sayings is something could be considered be valid. It is really just that it would be that realistic or something which is not. Although
we cant really be able to point out if its really that possible or not since we do know that this market is really that truly unpredictable. It had made out that tons of situations or moments that shocks us or
having that surprised us on the things that we do least expect for it to happen.

We've been able to see those numbers on whom we thought that it cant be just possible but look at on where we are now? So this is why in speaking about $1M per coin
is something that could neither happen or not, but pretty sure it would really be taking a couple of decade before reaching on.

Yes, I know we are on the speculation board and people feel free to make their delusional predictions, bitcoin reach 1 million, 10 million or 100 million in the future. But what I want to say is that we should be a little more realistic and slow down a bit, enjoy what we have instead of dreaming too much. Because sometimes we set our expectations too high but then things don't turn out as we expected, we will be filled with frustration and feel like everything is falling apart. We are investing with our own money so don't let illusions cause us to lose money or lose profits that we could have had.
348  Economy / Economics / Re: considering the advantage of Fiats over Cryptocurrencies on: April 08, 2024, 01:28:15 PM

Are you sure about what you say? Do you mean if someone gets scammed or has their cryptocurrency stolen, you can report it to the police and easily get your assets back? So why do criminals use bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies to trade without being detected by the government? Why can't anyone get their money back after being scammed or having their bitcoins stolen? Why do people who transfer the wrong wallet address have no way to get their bitcoins back even if they report it to the authorities?

If you transfer bitcoins to me now and I challenge you to find a way to get your bitcoins back even if you report it to the FBI or any government agency you trust.
It's not easily to get back your assets, but it's more transparent than banks.

There's a difference between send to wrong address, send to phishing sites and hacked. Send to wrong address means it's your fault, however if you send to phishing sites or get hacked, there's an evidence that you got scammed.

If I transfer my coins to you, the FBI or agency won't recover it because that's my fault.
Bitcoin gives us transparency about transactions, but let's not forget that it also gives us a certain privacy (anonymity). And that's why the government has difficulty tracking down and apprehending criminals using bitcoin.

Being transparent does not mean it will be easy for us to get our assets back if we are scammed or hacked. To date, there have been millions of bitcoin hacks and cases of people being scammed related to bitcoin and cryptocurrency. But how many cases have been resolved? As far as I know, not much because tracking data on blockchain is not as easy as we imagine.
349  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: April 08, 2024, 11:43:06 AM
The only sign that Gujarat Titans lost this match was the fall of extra wickets. The more wickets fell the quicker the all-out was, this match lacked patient batsmen. Lucknow Super Giants have performed very well, they have performed quite well in batting but they have performed best in bowling. Yash Thakur and Krunal Pandya played a major role in winning this match due to their excellent bowling performance.
LSG bowlers must be commended for Gujarat's loss of extra wickets as LSG bowlers bowled well due to which GT batsmen could not hold their wickets. In some matches, the team wins due to the skill of the batsmen and in some matches, the batsmen of the opposite team are defeated by the brilliant bowling of the bowlers, resulting in the victory of the team with the complete contribution of the bowlers. Just as you blame gt's defeat only on the batsmen losing wickets, you can also appreciate the brilliant bowling of the lsg bowlers. If LSG's bowlers had bowled badly but the batsmen would have stayed on the wicket and if any batsman had stayed for the wicket the score would have been much higher. I hope I have made this very clear in my discussion.

The main reason for LSG's win was Yash Thakur and Krunal Pandya's excellent bowling. Yash Thakur took 5 wickets. Also Krunal's superb controlled bowling put Gujarat batsmen under a lot of pressure and lost the match. Krunal took only three wickets. But he gave only 11 runs in 4 overs. Yash took 5 wickets with 30 runs in 3.5 overs.

After giving LSG a target of 164 I don't think LSG can win this match. Moreover, Gujarat's two overs started well enough. Every batsman in Gujarat's squad is very experienced. Even then, the Gujarat team lost the match by 33 runs. I expected better batting from Gujarat players.
Gujarat have completed two seasons of IPL so far and this is their third season. Gujarat Titans won the IPL title in the first season and lost in the finals in the second season they were successful in the first two seasons. They have good batsmen and they have good bowlers which is why they have done so well in the first two seasons. We should have no doubts about the batting lineup of those who qualified in the first two seasons and played in the finals in the first two seasons. If you don't give credit to LSG's bowlers for keeping such a strong batting line-up to so few runs then I'd say you're not talking from cricketing knowledge. LSG's bowlers certainly bowled the best and bowled economically as well as picking up wickets at regular intervals which is why they bowled so brilliantly against such a strong batting line-up.

Did you not read my post? I also said that LSG won this match only because of their brilliant bowling. If the bowlers don't perform well, LSG won't be able to win this match. Because on this pitch it was a very difficult task to win by giving a target of only 164 runs. However, LSG won the match by a huge margin of 33 runs.

Gujarat's batting order is one of the strongest batting order among the teams in this year's IPL. Sai Sudarshan, Gill, Williamson, Vijay, Rahul and Rashid Khan are all experienced batsmen for the T20 format. LSG bowlers bowled brilliantly against such experienced batsmen. Their bowling was very controlled. This is why the batting of Gujarat batsmen was very slow from the beginning of the innings.

I would say the turning point of this match was Krunal Pandya's ninth over. In this over Krunal pandya took 2 wickets giving only 3 runs. And even after this over, the Gujarat batsmen were under more pressure.

351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: April 07, 2024, 04:13:27 PM
The result of the first half is no surprise, Manchester United are very poor this season. Liverpool are a better team this season and as expected, everything seems to be working for the good of Liverpool. They are going into the second half with a goal lead. I believe Liverpool will be taking better advantage of their chances in the second half. I hope icopress did not bet on Manchester United.
Manchester united have been lucky to have a free goal due to the error from Liverpool goalkeeper that he gave a shot pass to his defender. The game is now tensed as Manchester united is trying to display some confidence in the match, after the goal scored by Bruno Fernandez on the 50th minutes.
Such an early goal has put the atmosphere into a tensed one. It is now 1-1 draw, and I don't know if this match will be in favor of Liverpool because they are pressuring united right now.
Although Liverpool looks like they still have better quality than Manchester United but still, at this moment Liverpool are still under difficult pressure. So yes, because Liverpool are still in difficult situations and conditions, of course it will still not be easy for Liverpool to win in this away match against Manchester United. Although it is true, that Liverpool are also still able to play well in this match by having good dominance also in statistics. But anyway, in this second half Liverpool failed to maintain the victory they had in the first half because after all, currently the score is 2-1 and Manchester United is leading.

Liverpool are very unlucky. I have nothing else to say except this. In the first half we only saw the dominance of Liverpool players. Liverpool players created many attacking opportunities. But the team managed to score only one goal. On the other hand, in the first half, Manchester United's players did not make any attempt to attack. Liverpool was leading 1-0 at the end of the first half.

Manchester United changed their game strategy in the second half. Bruno's goal in less than 50 minutes equalized the match. And the players of Manchester United started playing attacking strategy. Mainoo's goal in the 67th minute gave Manchester United a 2-1 lead. And 6 minutes left for the match to end. I don't think Liverpool players can score two goals in these 6 minutes. But I still think Liverpool will not lose against Manchester United today.

353  Economy / Economics / Re: Poor people need solution now on: April 07, 2024, 09:48:55 AM
We must understand that these solutions won't show effects now. The only thing this class of people can do is to invest in themselves. Invest in their knowledge and this would lead to opportunities, invest time into these opportunities and these would lead to income, invest little of this income over time into assets and this would lead to more income. Invest this little income back into yourself through your looks, health, and knowledge all over again for the cycle to continue and yield results. This reminds of of the vicious circle of poverty which states that " poverty begets poverty" It explains the fact that poor people are poor because they are poor. They can't save all they do is earn little and eat little. If they could just invest a little more it would set the stone and open up the way for wealth to come in.
Yes exactly investment will act as the right guide for the development of not only the poor but also the human being from the existing situation. Since saving and investment are interrelated from my point of view they should save a fixed portion of their income. And since saving in a fiat currency has a strong chance of falling into inflation they should invest in a profitable sector such as crypto-currency. So that a profit from it in the future will come to them and they will not have to face future undesired dire situations and can get relief from the present miserable life. My words may not be consistent for all walks of life but I believe that if we organize our life roughly this way we can deal with serious situations.

Listening to the two of you talk, I imagine that escaping poverty seems too easy and not at all difficult as many people think. But have you ever wondered why there are still so many poor people in the world? By the way, let me ask, for poor people who cannot even afford to buy main family meals, how will they save and invest? In many poor countries, people don't even have jobs because of government corruption, so how will they save and invest? Not everyone is as lucky as us to be protected by our parents, fully educated, have the opportunity to access the internet... there are many tragic situations that we have never witnessed. If you are not in that situation, how can you understand what they are going through?

354  Economy / Economics / Re: Irresponsible spenders consumes their retirement resources and losses values. on: April 07, 2024, 09:39:16 AM
Life is sweet and we all have just one life so lets enjoy it to the fullest because while we are strong and healthy today, some are dead while some are in hospital.
Meanwhile we that are here do not know about our tomorrow so...
Rarely does a person think about death unless he is old enough or his death has been medically predicted by a doctor. If you find a man like that, then don't disturb his fun. After all, you don't know how productive they were in the past.

I agree that there are also irresponsible spenders like the OP is talking about in our society . But I don't agree with OP being so quick to judge someone when he just happened to meet them at a restaurant . How does OP know if the other person is a waste or a worthless person ? I also don't rule out the possibility that he has been working hard for a long time and what he did was just want to take some time to enjoy life after a series of hard days .

@OP , it's funny how we always think we're good people when we try to save money, don't spend wastefully , and quickly underestimate others just because we see them wasting money .
355  Economy / Economics / Re: considering the advantage of Fiats over Cryptocurrencies on: April 07, 2024, 09:27:17 AM
Cryptocurrency aren't anonymous, the truly anonymous is Monero, while the rest are either privacy enhanced coins, pseudonymous, to KYC coins. Considering that most people use centralized exchange to buy coins, it means the centralized exchange and government can know who hold this coins or vice versa. Even though I don't like centralization and KYC, but cryptocurrency are actually far better than fiat in terms of transparency.

If your fund in banks tempered by a theft, you don't have any evidence if your fund are stolen to whom, the one who know is banks, but what if banks didn't want to reveal?

But if you use cryptocurrency, you can trace where your money belongs to since blockchain is public, so you can report to authority.

Are you sure about what you say? Do you mean if someone gets scammed or has their cryptocurrency stolen, you can report it to the police and easily get your assets back? AS Roma are also going to face a strong opponent in today's game because it will be like a war to them winning Lazio. I don't have hope for AS Roma because their opponents are in better form than them. Even though De Rossi has been trying his best for the team, winning Lazio will be challenging. Although they have ever won Lazio in a game, let's still give them hope since they are playing a home game, and as we all know, AS Roma finds it hard to lose a home game, so let's wait and see the results after the game to see if they really win or go on a draw with Lazio.

I actually don't know how to feel about this match. Because even though if we look at the last 5 matches it looks like Roma has been far better compared to Lazio, I have to say that Roma should have got three points from the last match that they played against Lecce. So that is something which is not going to give Roma a lot of confidence, to be honest.

And on the other hand, Lazio has been showing good performance in the last two matches. Even though the previous three matches they have lost. So I guess all paper it still looks like is going to be a win for Roma. But I am not going to be surprised if this match ends in a draw as well for Roma. But it is very important for Roma to win this match. Otherwise, Atalanta is definitely going to overtake them on the table.
357  Economy / Economics / Re: Does sound money have to be Private? on: April 06, 2024, 08:52:28 AM
I don’t understand what you mean by sound money. I think you can just say that the US dollar is tracked by the US government and leaves no privacy. But a currency like Bitcoin is decentralized as there’s no middle man and it supports privacy because all that matters to receive money are wallet addresses and not our government names which can be identified.

But I want you this, are you using centralized exchanges to buy and sell bitcoin? Do you use a bank or fiat for your bitcoin transactions? Bitcoin is a decentralized and privacy-preserving currency, but the irony is that to own bitcoin, we need to use banks, fiat , and centralized services. So are we truly anonymous or is our privacy 100% guaranteed when we own bitcoin?

Bitcoin is decentralized but that doesn't mean the people who use or own it will be the ones who can guarantee their privacy, it all depends on how we use them .
358  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good bitcoin security starts with strong PC and mobile device security on: April 06, 2024, 08:40:03 AM
When you want to talk about "strong PC" it means you're need avoid to use bad OS like Windows or Mac, start to use Linux. It's the first thing you need to do, using wrong OS make the further steps wrong too.

VPN isn't good choice if you want to protect privacy, use Tor.

Google DNS is bad too, didn't you forget if Google is the company that combat against privacy?

As far as I know, Linux is an open source operating system but using them is quite complicated, unlike Windows or Mac. Aand I have been using Windows computers for over 10 years, and so far, I have never had any problems with bitcoins being hacked or any security related issues. So in my opinion, a strong PC is a computer you use properly, using genuine software...It's not true that if you use Linux you're safe, and anyone using Windows or Mac is at risk.

As an investor, normal user, I think VPN, or Google service is enough, unless you are a criminal or doing illegal work then you need high privacy protection and use tools like Tor.
359  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the halving already priced in? on: April 06, 2024, 08:27:34 AM
It’s hard to say. These bitcoins etfs are difficult to predict how they will affect prices. As soon as they launched, Bitcoin dumped.

It went below the $40K and all of a sudden the flows were positive and they were positive
Until $74K top and then they started to flatten and turn a little negative.

So was the halving priced in? Hard to say. When we hit $40K, I didn’t think we would hit a new ATH either.

Yes, it is difficult to predict what bitcoin will do after the halving, it could be dumped the same way market makers did when the ETF was approved . I remember when the news that the ETF was approved by the SEC was released, everyone was excited and waiting for a crazy price rally with that news. But suddenly bitcoin was dumped and people became disappointed, and while everyone was disappointed bitcoin suddenly pumped up. I believe that scenario will be used again as the halving approaches , but in the long term, I am still waiting for a big bull season later this year and into 2025 .

It's been years since the Lightning Network was launched, yet adoption has been quite slow. Most people are still transacting on-chain, despite the fact that sometimes network fees increase to undesirable levels due to the Ordinals hype. The L2 scaling solution promised to boost mainstream adoption for BTC with its ultra-low fees and blazing-fast speeds. It's still flawed, despite being established for a few years now.

What do you think? Is the LN a failure? If not, why? Should we give it more time to mature? What is the main reason most exchanges, merchants and/or businesses haven't adopted it yet?

Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley

Most people think that LN is not a failure, but to me, something that has been around for a long time but is still not widely used is a failure. Until now, not many investors know and appreciate it, they are not even interested in it. If that's not failure, then what is?

In addition, talking about the development of L2 on the bitcoin blockchain, I think in the near future we will have more choices and LN is no longer the only choice. Many L2 projects are being invested by large funds and preparing to launch mainnet during this bull season. Let's wait and see which solution will be chosen and used by everyone.
