341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Are airdrops safe? on: July 30, 2019, 09:20:11 AM
The way they usually work is they give you some string and you sign it to prove you own the address.

Could a malicious air drop make a transaction sending all your BTC to them, and then you sign it, and then they broadcast it to the network?
Or is signing a message different than signing a transaction?

Airdrop should not requiring something like that, peoples usually just need to follow, retweet, or join some channels.
As i know in Ethereum, we will need to using private key to sign transaction, so it will be a dangerous thing if only used for airdrop.

343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins/Bitcoin Bull on: June 27, 2019, 03:11:58 AM
I want to hear people's opinion on altcoins not surging in value like bitcoin presently
Few of my friends have already dump there altcoins and buy bitcoin straight up ,I hope they make the right choice ,if not? That might be the biggest wrong move of their lives.
What are your thought?patience or swap for BTC ?
ETH still swimming in the 300$ + river ,what do you think will happen if ETH jumps to 900 or 1000$?

Well, if you see now almost all of altcoins price going red, only bitcoin and eth is green.
With this, i know that most holders are selling their altcoins to buying some btc or eth.
btc is the best coin in cryptocurrency, so nothing wrong to selling some altcoins for bitcoin.
344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Between ICO and IEO on: June 27, 2019, 02:49:55 AM
If I am not mistaken, by the end of 2018 the ICO project has been abandoned by many parties for various reasons that have emerged and turned to the IEO.

ICO = self fundraising launching, IEO = fundraising in exchange platform.
If a new starter company want to raise funds, they need to invite investors.
To invite investors, they need to prove they are a real and not scam project. Trusted exchange can prove that with some method, that's why IEO more preferable.
345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The best platform in the crypto industry? ERC20 or Other? on: June 26, 2019, 02:30:07 AM
With many metrics, it's clear that Ethereum is one of the best blockchain projects on the market. However, there are many concerns throughout the industry about the problem of the Ethereum scale. As the number of applications on the network continues to grow, the network has been hit by slow transaction times and higher transaction costs, which has even led to the impending death proclamation of smart contract platforms.
While Ethereum focuses on fixing scale problems, and I think there are several platforms that bet on both of them taking their place as the number one smart contract platform.

Is the ethereum platform always the best in the crypto industry market? and how confident are you about this? give the reason.

The demands of ETH is still high, we can see the marketcap of ETH is on the 2nd position in cryptocurrency.
Companies are run their products with ETH tokens, and many investors hold ETH tokens in their portfolio.
Based on that, i think ETH is still a good platform to use in crypto industry.
346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchanges to be careful about IEO listing. on: June 26, 2019, 02:13:12 AM
Currently IEO's are becoming pupular and providing a more reliable option for new projects than ICO's. Previously a lot of new projects started by raising funds via their ICO sites and because of unregulated nature of this avenue, a lot of scammers used the medium to swindle a lot of victims.

Now the story has changed as it only serious projects that would want to go through IEO's, we no longer would hold only the project body responsible for any IEO scam but the exchange, so any exchange that values its reputation and users should do a proper scrutiny about any project before accepting their IEO sales. For instance if an exchange fails multiple times with their IEO, it will drive attention away from them, that is why Binance still draws a lot of attentions because it has recorded more successful and profitable IEO's.

Exchanges should be able to identify a fraud project before it get listed on their IEO.
Their reputation will be ruined if they failed to avoid scams and frauds, even traders will leave them.
good exchange like binance must be have a certain way to verify the legality of the project.
347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why my day job is making me depressed on: June 25, 2019, 03:11:02 AM
I dont know if your story is real or not, but if your job makes you depressed, just quit.
But before you quit, of course make sure you already accepted other job you can do.
Trading in cryptocurrency can be depressing too, but it is better than your current depressing job.
About Horizonstate, i think it is a new project and will need some time to research about that before buying their token.
348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WILL BOUNITES AND NEW PROJECTS EVER STOP? on: June 25, 2019, 02:38:21 AM
The answer is capital NO. YES,BIG NOOOO. As long as the market is willing to accommodate everyone, we  will always get new tokens in the market. bounties will keep on sprawling out from everywhere. back and forth.

Also, as exchange platforms keeps delisting old and garbage products from the market. new ones are likely to emerge and replace them.

just in, bittrex delisted over 40 coins from U.S market.

They will never stop, only decreasing. This is because there are not much good projects can holding bounty campaign.
New projects will continue to be created in cryptocurrency, opening the opportunity for investors to invest on a good one.
With IEO, investors should be better to avoid scam projects in crypto.
349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum is slow in price? on: June 25, 2019, 02:21:56 AM
What makes the Ethereum price a little slow to experience an increase, in the current crypto market conditions. If the price of bitcoin continues to experience rapid growth almost close to $ 10k. I think the price of ethereum will be good if it is above $ 300.

Yeah, seems like so. BTC price already rising to $11k while the ETH price is around $300.
Maybe because there are many ICO are dead, most of ICO are using ETH coin and tokens to operating.
350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A NOOBIE Question on: June 25, 2019, 02:04:41 AM
Im just new to this space and I want to know a few things. Where do you list a good coin whose team had distributed almost fully by AIRDROPS and BOUNTIES? Is there some exchange listing with good volume willing to list NEW COINS for free or with minimal fees? Can someone help me on this.

Thanks in advance mentors.

Thank you so much.

If you want to list a new coin in exchange with volume, the top exchanges can do that, but the price is not low.
Usually the centralized exchange will requiring you to pay at least quite amount of BTC. Maybe you can try latoken.
Other option is to listing your coin in decentralized exchange like cryptobridge.
351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beware; Do not Fall for Phishing Sites, Do Not Be a Victim of Scams on: June 24, 2019, 08:08:47 AM
This is very illogical in the first place.
You want to get the airdrop which is usually small amount, and must send coin first ? Then the airdrop reward will be minus!
This phishing is worse than the one who ask your private key to receive airdrop.
352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you still investing in ICOs? Let me know! on: June 24, 2019, 07:49:00 AM
Hey guys.

I do currently ask myself if the ICO market will bounce back?. In how many ICOs do you typically invest and what is the average investement?.

Let me know.

I do currently work with a team on an ICO and i find it very important to understand the community and their investment habbits in 2019

Glad to hear the opinion of the bitcointalk community.

Peoples may more interesting to investing in IEO than ICO. I personally have no faith to most ICOs right now.
Some of them maybe are good projects, but the majority of ICOs are not worth to invest on.
If you have team and want to running ICO, you better hold for IEO in some popular exchanges to invite investors.
353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sell All Altcoins For Bitcoin? on: June 24, 2019, 07:36:12 AM
Selling all of your altcoins won't bring you a guaranteed profit. You must choose your altcoins.
If you have some good altcoins, why bother to sell it ? just hold it, for example bnb coin.
354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After ICO, the tokens sank in price. Why? on: June 24, 2019, 07:19:56 AM
As a rule, most blockchain- projects that have collected tens of millions of dollars for ICO, issue tokens on the exchange without real production growth.
What does it mean?

It means it will need times for the blockchain projects to keep developing.
And finally releasing the products that can be used by many peoples.
If this happening, then the token price will skyrocketing because the demands for using the token in their products.
355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty may be an income medium for unemployed youth. on: June 24, 2019, 07:06:38 AM
Smiley I think many unemployed youth working in Bounty at the present time are using their free time to earn income.
 What is your valuable opinion?

Maybe it is quite right, if we talking about temporary incomes. But it is not suitable for long term incomes.
Bounty campaigns has gone worse, many hunters have not been paid, too much delay in distribution.
356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Telegram and Facebook ICOs the beginning of mass adoption on: June 23, 2019, 03:17:22 PM
Facebook was banning cryptocurrency related advertisements back then.
But why now they start to running ICO and creating their own coin ?
I guess it will be just another hype in cryptocurrency sphere. Hope this will not make investors more suffering from the loss in the future.
357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: are ICOs really dead? on: June 23, 2019, 02:57:41 PM
After participating in several ICO project, which turned out to be scam projects. My hard earned money disappeared in to thin air, with no way to trace or recover my money back. I had to act like it never happened to get it off my mind and move on.

Are ICOs really dead and do you still invest in ICO projects?

I guess there are still some good ICOs alive, not all ICOs are dead. We just need to choose the project fully careful and take much cautions.
On some ICOs, i still investing my time and efforts to support them by promoting the project.
As an investor, you must be sad if your money gone because scam project. But one project i support which is Bcnex, is a real legit crypto exchange.
358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who Says Bear Market is BAD? on: June 23, 2019, 02:45:24 PM
Most peoples says that, because bear market makes peoples unable to sell their coin at profit.
But for other peoples, bear market is a good opportunity to buying top coins.
That is time to accumulating the coins that has high value in the market.
359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Binance Coin - Not Far From The Falling on: June 22, 2019, 11:59:03 AM
Really not far ? I think Binance coin not even close from falling.
The coin price still increasing since it got hacked. They burn the coin sometimes, makes the price increase more.
More demands and low supply, that will be the best thing for value of the coin.
360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Libra the Ethereum + Ripple + EOS + TRON + .... killer? on: June 22, 2019, 11:51:15 AM
Not really a killer, just another competitor of top coins. Libra won't go to the top position without a good adoption.
This will be only a hype that created by some peoples because facehook connected to Libra coin.
