Hi,
How Can I setup a masternode?
And what requirements is needed for a masternode?
Regards Anoxy
Oh need to collect more dash about 890 more Smiley this Will take time :/
There are also trusted people who do shares in a masternode like Splawik21, so with 100 Dash, you would have about = .1 * .5 (~Dash per day) * 365 = 18.25 Dash per year - less around 20% costs = 14.6 Dash per yr

Hi guys, I was wondering if any of you can help me with my new P2pool setup. Should my P2pool node automatically show up on the P2pool node lists? Or do I have to "open up" to outside users? Also, do you recommend any tools to monitor my node? Thanks!
Thanks!!!
I am assuming you are GPU mining, suggest you can drop your voltages by 30-100 millivolts, you will run cooler and save power.
Although same applies to cpu on local machine, you can lower main core voltage and cpu will be less heat stressed, but there is an increased chance of crashing.

Hi Jestah!
Every time I upload .exe, I also do a virustotal scan and publish it as well. See this link: https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/ec2e4e1d9bbac1e59d0967895b5e6ca93adc8c5da6cc5df3c916eabaab92c7c0/analysis/1437467954/
(notice that the hashes match)
But somehow as time passes, virustotal seem to find more false positives in the EXACTLY SAME .zip file. This is really weird.
The .exe was built on a special build machine, which is very unlikely to be infected.
If you are concerned, I recommend to build from source (the miner is open-source and available on github).
PS: I also wanted to mention that we donate 1% of profit to DASH donation address.
Please join us!

Thanks!
I didn't know you were open source, I found you in github straightaway, sorry I presumed you were an .exe only  Embarrassed

how much does a masternode make daily?
I had 20 Dash for 31 days of service in July, it will depend on the block size, hash difficulty, voting and number of masternoders, the block size has a cap limit so you will have a minimum of around 0.44 Dash per day with the current number of masternodes ~ 3000
(not everyone has updated yet and enforcement is off so the hot numbers are spurious atm)
These are the predictions,

...nudge*nudge*wink*wink*...
Here with Dash we have a brand new paradigm. Decentralised voting and rewards systems to auto-sustain the network. Solves the problems all cryptos face up to date.
 - Miners get rewards - securing the network - PoW
 - Full Node dedicated Masternode Operators get rewards for serving the network - provide a service - PoSe
 - Blockchain governance rewards projects, proposed by anyone and voted by the staked MN owners - Democratic Quorum - meaning, sustainable and continuous development, wherever it may lead.
The options are unlimited and self-sustaining powered by a positive feedback reward system.
Its a relief to get the tricky fork over with early on, something bitcoin does not have the luxury of.
suggest PoV = Proof of Voting (and means Point of View so fits both meanings)

Ok guys, last try for new miners, to help stop a potential fork produced by coinmine,
if you want to nearly DOUBLE your mining income by switching to a different (AMD only) sgminer produced by dashminer.com with slightly highly GPU temps then go here,
http://dashminer.com/
Oops - my bad - it was a blocked script - I just didn't notice.
lol, good to be careful  Cheesy
I am not a fan of closed sources exe files either but I scanned it with everything I had and dashminer came recommended by a larger miner that I knew already, and hasn't set off any fire alarms just yet Roll Eyes ...

Whoever is editing the title, ASIC Resistant is a pretty big selling point IM
Maybe that's not really true anymore. An X11 ASIC can and will happen.
I lost the link(many pages back!) but an ASIC guy has already posted a screen shot test simulation of an X11 on a FPGA, he said it is not economically viable to bring the design into production at this current time due to the price of the components compared to market price of Dash, it took him a year to design he said.

I vouch for their payouts but if you don't believe me check the stats for dashminer here,
(as a rough guideline, 1 R9 280X = 0.2 dash per day, coinmine is 0.1-.14 dash per day from current stats)
http://poolpicker.eu/table?algo=x11
and compare to coinmine's
https://www2.coinmine.pl/dash/index.php?page=statistics&action=pool

so do you want to supersize your income or stay sgminer unoptimized forever and get only half that is the question?

Hello.
I am thinking about try my luck on solo mining Dash for a while.
Coinwarz tell me that it will take me around 2.3 days to find a block depending on luck.
What does that mean ? It can take 2.3 days or two months to find a block ?
I dont really understand why Coinwarz have that calculation if everything is depending on luck.
I never solo mined before, is it worth trying these days or should i just go regular pooling ?
you can only solo mine with old version 11, the new release of version 12 will not allow it because of a code carry over from bitcoin 10, it is hoped there will be a modification to bring back solo mining.
https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/commit/cf0c47b
You have until september to solo mine before enforcement begins.
The diff is probably too high anyway to find a block, try this custom optimized AMD miner, it is quicker than solo mining and recommended, and helps not to have too much hash power and potential forking in one pool,
I am surpised more do not use it.
http://dashminer.com/

I was thinking about mining solo with NiceHash: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1017498.0
You are confusing solo mining by yourself in your wallet with a pool such as nicehash (admittedly their wording is deceiving), they are still a pool, so that means you are mining for them.

Basically took the weekend off. How is sync for you guys?  On testnet it was lightning speed.
well version 44 was no sync for me but before I could log on again to check, it had already been fixed in release v0.12.45, the Devs must work on a longer than average day than the rest of us  Grin

for those looking to personalise their wallet : go to your dash.conf and add in there
windowtitle=whatever_you_feel_like_yr_wallet_should_be_titled
Specially when one has multiple wallets its a good way to differentiate between them.

Great on the V12 release to everyone involved, 44 test versions and over 10,000 code revisions, to my mind the hardest part so far is testing and implementing the voting system, am expecting a few little bugs but hey thats what designing cutting edge never before tried ideas and software is all about  Smiley

But watch out, another off chain network(the lightning network) is just beginning to tackle bitcoin's scalability problem, and as we know, things can move awfully quick in the cyptosphere,
