341  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 26, 2013, 02:54:26 AM
Here is my personal updated ToS for HF:

Quote
If Buyer incurs mining losses due to Seller’s failure to deliver when deliveries are due, Buyer shall be entitled to equivalent compensation from Seller for such losses.

Stop f*cking your customers HF.

We have a "Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity" situation. We just don't have enough data to know the correct explanation.

On the one hand, to me, the statements about being "on track" for October when they were clearly not suggest malice.

On the other hand, all this inept fumbling around with their message - the relationships with Taco, CypherDoc, the odd appearance and disappearance of official reps, and other things (e.g. the signature raffle of a BJ) - suggest stupidity.

Which is it?  I'm still not sure, but I think we'll find out on about December 31st.

Both. It's a combination of stupidity and dishonesty. And we are the suckers paying for it.

This is the kind of update I've been waiting for.

<.2W/Gh, <.2$/G, immersion cooling allowing high-density & lower costs, turn-key container datacenter solutions... Damn, if this all comes together as planned the AM future looks bright!

344  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 22, 2013, 04:58:07 PM
Meanwhile....

While HF keeps stumbling (and silent), other ASIC manufacturers are not standing still. Take AM for example:

Next Gen Chips
The projected time of taping out of Gen3 is January 20. Power consumption target estimation is <0.2W per G on low power mode and <0.2$ per G on wafer cost. Please notice that the timeline is of course subject to change/adjust, and the estimation on power and cost is also based on software tool/simulation results.

345  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 22, 2013, 02:05:04 AM
Wow.. shit load to read Sad

Straight question please.. Has HashFast delivered to anyone?  If so, does it work and the quality?  Or is it a billy bullshit company?

Ta

So far all we have is a picture of a guy holding a box.
346  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 22, 2013, 12:23:03 AM
I don't like this either, but since HF is not delivering on its promises and products so far, it our duty as customers to push for transparency and hold HF accountable for its (in)actions.
347  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 20, 2013, 11:04:41 PM
Also , I don't see a box of finished wafers , here it's just a box , it might even be weed in it , and that is plausible and matching his laugh.

No doubt. It is a box full of Hashish.
348  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 20, 2013, 01:41:01 AM
To compensate for delays HF is starting the MPP earlier than they have to, on Oct 30 instead of ship date.

They have also upgraded the offer to include complete miniboards instead of raw chips.

These indications of HashFast's good faith demonstrate their commitment to provide customers with the maximum possible value for their BTC.

If by 'maximum possible value for their BTC' you mean getting a fraction of the initial invested BTC back, then yes. I agree.
349  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 20, 2013, 01:04:39 AM
Providing MPP modules to Batch 1 customers at no additional cost and after the sale has been the best thing HF has done so far. I don't understand how you can criticize them about that, much less take them to court. You can pound your chest all you want but this is just not going to happen.

The thing I object to is that MPP was designed to protect against excessive difficulty increases. Not delays.

HF has done nothing to compensate against delays so it is the customers that will pay the price for HF failures.

Did he say scouts honor?   Or was it just a pinky shake?

Scouts honor.
351  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 19, 2013, 03:43:31 AM
Hashfast has learned so well from BFL that they are now the master.

Looks like it.

When I visited the HF temporary office a few weeks ago John told me he thought Josh Zerlan was a 'great guy'. Also he was proud to point out that while the BFL community made a lot of threats BFL had 0 lawsuits so far. Finally he thought Batch 1 customers were fine because the BTC price in USD had gone up a lot. Instead of taking a page from KnC, it appears they are following the BFL playbook so far.

Somebody had to pay for that nice new office and printer and those people are the Batch 1 customers. HF knew full well they could not make their deadline and the price premium they were able to extract from customers because of the 20-30 Oct shipping date are ill-gotten gains.

Today's update: HF Customers are all f*cked but at least we got our printer to work.

Meanwhile my refund request ticket has been unanswered since Sun 10th.

Thanks HF.

Very cool and well designed!

I'd buy one of these in a heartbeat if it came with upgraded ASICs (not buying any BE 100's anymore)

Small typo on the last slide: accessaries > accessories
353  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 16, 2013, 02:51:55 AM
So far HF has promised a lot of things (products, refund updates, real-time production updates, pictures of the PCB) it did not deliver on.

Customer tickets are left unanswered. Communication with intermediates like Taco appears to have stopped. Instead we have silence, and yes - a picture of a guy holding a box.

Way to go HF. Don't get too comfy in your fancy new office space because if you keep running your company this way it won't be around for very long.
354  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 14, 2013, 03:27:16 AM
then get a refund..  demand it..  go and bang on their door

I requested a refund last Sunday. No response. They won't even confirm receipt of my request. Will call them tomorrow.
355  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 10, 2013, 10:03:41 PM
FYI: I just filed a request with HashFast support for a full refund in BTC for my Aug 9 BabyJet order.
356  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: The biggest thief in the Bitcoinica debacle? MtGox on: November 09, 2013, 03:25:39 PM
Can anyone tell me how many bitcoins the Bitcoinica customers are down? The amount of cash too, if it is known or there is a good guess.

The Bitcoinica account at MtGox should hold at least 64,485 BTC and 134,000 USD. There are 201 customers with claims.

...Of course this is only what is left after the Linode (46,653 BTC), Rackspace (18,547 BTC) and MtGox (40,000 BTC + 40,000 USD) 'hacks' of of which the first two were supposed to have been covered by the 'investor' but this also turned out to be a lie.
357  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 09, 2013, 07:58:45 AM
Well I am already setup and payment ready for Hashfasts Next Surprise announcements ( I am not allowed to say what it is but i know of 2 up comiming announcements that will shock everyone ( they are good announcement )

358  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 09, 2013, 06:48:04 AM
No Bottom line the MPP is there to make sure if NOTHING ELSE you atleast you earn what you paid for the miner back

that is what it is there for

can no one see that

they are not gonna pay or credit you extra speed so you can make a profit of $10,000 in the first 90 days, they Came up with the MPP as a way to make sure that you break even on your ROI in the First 90 days ( reguardless of the Diff and network speed ) plain and simple

Can no one understand that fact

You are calculating ROI in USD. Since BJ's are paid for in BTC you should measure ROI in BTC.
359  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 09, 2013, 02:50:10 AM
I will always be around to help people understand that even tho there was a Delay they need to look at this from the point of view of a buyer that picked the MPP with their unit ( i don't know why anyone wouldn't choose it ) it always pays off in the long run to always choose the miner protection programs ( and always worth the extra money )

You seem to be very sure of yourself. Please run the numbers in a mining calculator and then come back.

This looks really good! If AM is able to get back into the ASIC game with gen2 or gen3 chips I think friedcat will have a wonderful high-performance, low-cost turn key mining stack.

The Google drive directory is owned by 'Alex Kampl' (From Lik Sang fame? Console mod chips etc.). Could he perhaps be the AM partner that is working with FC on the Hong Kong immersion cooling project?

EDIT: looks like it, the files were posted by an employee @ http://www.allied-control.com/
