343  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: March 30, 2024, 01:24:05 AM
Anyway for those of you that has been following my rant about me losing in esports betting all the time, Im not exageratting anything and yeah here is another proof to show how 'unlucky' I am
I also went on a bad 0-2 day with MOUZ and Eternal Fire thinking they got the edge. I guess the difference in experience started to show between their opponents and I got caught up with recency bias.

I will update this post tomorrow to include images, talkimg seems to be error on my end and Im not sure why
I sometimes get an error when i'm staying on the page for too long.
344  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: March 29, 2024, 01:18:15 AM
I knew for a second there that this bet is going to lose after Team Vitality won their first map. It was pretty one sided for me and yeah they did it again on the 2nd map with even bigger lead so yeah.  Tongue Told ya this curse will never leave me alone, even if I start winning one or two bets, I will end up getting another losing streak again
I also expected a third map, but Vitality showed up with flameZ taking the lead on those two maps and Cloud9 without a main AWPer became a big problem.

The Faze vs. Spirit series is unreal it keeps on giving just when you think it's over. Faze was up 12-5 on a map they don't play and somehow Team Spirit brought it back in OT. The momentum was on their side, but Faze woke up before Spirit could get to 16 rounds.
345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How about your experience in taking part in the same bet with friends? on: March 28, 2024, 11:14:11 PM
I also get that similar feeling when I hop on to a sports betting group and sometimes on the live casino tables chatting with other gamblers while playing. I feel less bad about my losses knowing others had the same bet and maybe risked bigger units too.

When you're together with your friends or a group of gamblers, the experience becomes different because our focus suddenly shifts towards having fun while the wins are only a bonus.
346  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does gambling excites you ? on: March 28, 2024, 04:11:23 PM
Does gambling excites you? What motivates you, winning or just the fun in it ?
The others already mentioned the obvious answer, and it's a given that gambling provides excitement to most gamblers.

In terms of motivation, it started with winning my bets, and now i've switched to the fun side and moved away from seriously winning because i've accepted the reality that I can't have a profitable betting record like the best tipsters. Once you step back from that winning mindset, you'll find other ways to get entertained and have fun.
347  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your take? on: March 28, 2024, 02:14:24 AM
Doing it every other time is fine because there are days when matches are too chalked and it's the best bet to take than to go for a toss-up play. If you're placing those bets regularly, always prepare for the worse results because your bankroll can quickly plummet with that strategy as favorites will eventually have a letdown day and sometimes would go on to lose more matches than you'd think. Not all favorites can deliver our expectations and only a few teams can remain consistent within their league.
348  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: March 28, 2024, 12:44:39 AM
I got to top up my account for the weekly free bet and found this decent-looking special for the NBA match between the Nuggets and Suns. The Nuggets currently have one of the best home records in the league, and this made me think it's a good bet.

The risky part about this special is the lineups for the Nuggets since they won't be having Murray and potentially Gordon in their starting lineup. Despite the missing key players, I still think it's enough for them to beat the Suns from start to finish.

349  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: March 27, 2024, 11:00:17 PM
My over for the Warriors match got cooked yesterday, it was on pace to hit the over until the game slowed down in the second half.

This might be one of the rare days where i'll be fading the Warriors, but only for the first half because the Magic are similar to the Celtics where they always get off to a hot start in the first half. Going for the full-game handicap is too risky since I still think the Warriors can cover if they bounce back in the third quarter.

Edit: Never mind what an atrocious first quarter from the Magic, I doubt they can cover this one within the next quarter.
350  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can we still truly achieve anonymous gambling in crypto? on: March 27, 2024, 03:31:32 PM
What do you think about this one, where is are we heading? And can we still consider crypto casino different from fiat casino?
I'd say it's still somewhat achievable because there are still on-chain casinos, it reminds me of the good old days when we didn't have to worry about any KYC but we are slowly moving away from that point now that most crypto casinos are sticking with the same style as fiat casinos.

There's still a noticeable difference between the fiat and crypto casinos. Then again, they're slowly diminishing with the newer crypto casinos because some of them could sound the same as fiat casinos given that they have more similarities like playing with a fiat balance and the usual countless casino games from third-party providers.
351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: March 27, 2024, 01:06:43 AM
Gotcha, will bet on these two tomorrow. As for now I cant seems to find these bets on sportsbet yet. So Team Vitality is going to play on the day after tomorrow, this is going to be the first bet and hope I dont jix this one up again. Im sick of all these jinxed that I made, its about time that I start earning some money from all these esport betting. Been losing shit tons of amount only from esports
It's the same for me, i've been returning my profits only because of esports while i've been having more success through other sports.  Tongue

The only team i'm confident on is MOUZ, and i'll probably do a max bet on them to win their series. They're the cleanest team so far and will be up against G2 who have been lackluster regardless of their lucky win against VP.

IMO MOUZ is one of the best teams that could go to the final given their consistency starting from the qualifiers.
352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't make your bets when you're tired on: March 27, 2024, 12:18:03 AM
That's one costly mistake and I think a lot of us have been there because of the losing streak we get at some point. I remember making a similar mistake like inputting my bet with an extra zero on mobile and it's why I mostly do my bets through my desktop.

In general, I realized my mistake and no longer made my bets while I was tired. Concentration is the most important thing in any effort we make, and we must always be at full mental strength, as there are many factors that may affect your chances of winning or losing.
Aside from this, always try to make a plan in advance so you don't end up betting at one of the worst hours knowing we'd be tired at that moment.
353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: March 26, 2024, 10:55:09 PM
Anyone got destroyed by the Celtics losing to the Hawks by just 2 points?
I avoided that match as we had a full slate yesterday with better matches to bet on.

Unfortunately, that's how the Celtics always roll, they always have a perfect start and then sometimes have a subpar second half. That's why the most recommended bets to take on most of their matches are usually the first-quarter or first-half handicap depending on your preference.

I don't dig these close matchups for today and will go for another total bet (over 215.5). The Miami Heat usually hits the under on their matches, but I think the Warriors will change that since their pace is significantly higher, and with these two needing the win, i'm expecting nonstop buckets.

354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: International break's in football. on: March 26, 2024, 04:22:00 PM
I don't care as much if the international break gets removed because even if the others get a break and use this opportunity to return to their country they still have to play more matches. Then again these national matches aren't bad overall because they serve as a good alternative training or build-up to the bigger matches like the World Cup.

Another interesting question is this, as a father would you force it on your child to also fan the same club you're a fan to, or you will allow him be himself to fan any club of his choice even if it's your most rival club of all times.
I wouldn't force them to be a fan of a certain team because it could ruin the fun for them and there's no need to take away their freedom to choose.
355  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 10000$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: March 26, 2024, 08:36:51 AM
It looks like we'll only have 9 questions this round since Iga Swiatek lost against Ekaterina Alexandrova, and having one less question might give me the advantage against Jinetics.  Cheesy

Also, the NBA question sounds interesting even though the choices are tricky. I might have to toss a prop bet on Steph Curry for their next few matches.
356  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: March 26, 2024, 12:09:21 AM
Quick question for you two, Team Spirit and Team Vitality -1.5 on both of them for the playoff. Yay or nay on this one? Im abit desperate after catching up all my losing streaks on esports lol. Personally I think Team Spirit will be able to handle -1.5 against FaZe clan but Vitality might not be able to do so. Obviously for the rest of the playoff game, Im leaning onto over 2.5 maps for sure though
My leans are also the same, i'd assume Team Spirit can end the series within two maps because FaZe keeps underperforming against good teams and starts winning once they get to meet weaker teams like Imperial and Complexity.

Team Vitality is a bit iffy because Cloud9 was kind of impressive with their performance, it could easily go to all three maps or even a series win for Cloud9 if they don't wake up. Also, i've heard from a previous interview that Zywoo played while he was sick and that might've been one of the reasons why we saw him struggle in one of their series.
357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: March 25, 2024, 11:17:23 PM
Both teams almost scored 300 points in a game, they finished with a total of 295 points. this coudl be the biggest total of points this season I guess. It was the pace of the Pacers on this game but I'm surprise that the Lakers were able to play with the pace, I don't know they could score 250 points in a game, just an impressive match up for the two, Pacers try to avenge their loss during the in season finals but fall short.
The amount of points they've made is similar to an all-star game. Tongue

The Lakers can always match the pace of the teams they face when they're at home and I think the biggest difference is the number of free throws they've made, which was close to 40 while the Pacers only had like 16 and missed half of them.

Time to ride one of the hottest teams recently and that's the Houston Rockets. They lost against the Blazers in their last meeting, but I don't think we'll get to see another close game with how they've been winning dominantly.

358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are crash games profitable??? on: March 25, 2024, 10:47:17 PM
You can get away with profits if you only play a few rounds, but once you keep playing the house edge will start to take those profits away and your future deposits. Others try to find patterns through these games because maybe that's how they find the game entertaining.

After winning more than 4 times In a row just know that losses is bound to happen even if you don't lose that same day
That's how our luck goes, you can't win them all and it's always a losing battle against the house edge.
359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Becomes of Gambling if Sport book is taken away. on: March 25, 2024, 04:17:04 PM
If sportsbooks are stopped in a certain country then another sportsbook with minimal geo-restrictions will try to capitalize on that change if that happens because gamblers will always try to find something similar and even go the extra mile if they can find a way to bet on football matches once more.

Gambling will probably lose its popularity within the country, but I think the casinos will always look for a solution to bring it back (or even compromise) because they don't want to lose out on a big chunk of profits.
360  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Always check the deposit address on: March 25, 2024, 03:28:40 AM
The lesson here is always check the wallet address before you deposit no matter how long do you use the same address. Most importantly don’t use casino wallet address to receive funds that has a delay such as loan money and campaign payments since there’s a chance that they will update their wallet address without prior notice.
I agree, as much as possible we should have a spare wallet where we can send the borrowed money instead of relying on the casino's deposit address. And it's better to be cautious by going through the extra effort of creating another transaction to avoid those unexpected problems.

Also, it's good to hear that the casino helped you recover the money in the end because i've heard similar cases from others and I rarely see them getting it back.
