I tried it, but after 1 Day it seems to be stuck at 500 Blocks
Hmm, Should be , check back in ~24 hours , and I will have an updated ZEIT snapshot to today's date. If that updated snapshot fails, you could use the updated bootstrap instead. (How much ram is in your system?)  FYI: Would you be willing to add BitBay (BAY) to the list? |

So for the blockchain boost file...
I'd like to finish a tutorial video on it to accompany the next update on the client. I'm guessing it will have a new peer.dat file for better synchronicity.
So I need to ask again, after a noob installs the client and wants to use the blockchain boost file to speed up the sync process...
What would the instructions be?
Will it be as easy as the user unzipping the bootstrap file (being the bitbaydata folder) and replacing the whole folder with the old bitbaydata folder in their existing BitBay directory?
Not sure how frequently have we been updating it? If it's a bootstrap they need to load it in a special way. If it's just exact copy of blockchain files the only need to paste it in the bitbaydata directory Is it possible to have a copy of the blockchain files held at mega or some filehosting place until we can afford our own dedicated server? or is the file just too huge? Well there was cryptochainer.com, but the owner is MIA. Such a shame why people put forth an effort to create something for crypto and then just vanish with no explanation. But yeah I agree, as demand grows for it, I'm sure we'll get something set up to provide the quickest solution. In my opinion very interesting times are coming in altcoin trading with introduction of ZCash. I expect some of my favourite altcoins (including SYS) to drop down, so we can accumulate some cheap coins for future times.
So, explain why Zcash is so awesome and how it differs from every other "anon" alt out there? Do you think using SNARKS makes it foolproof and unbreakable? Why do you think SYS will drop because of a new ALT that has no real innovative technology? What do you think about them rewarding the "investors" up front when the miners get nothing during that period? Why no Windows wallet on release? Just a couple things that bug me... The main difference, as I understand it, is in advanced cryptography and heavily encrypted data. Secondly, zk-SNARKs prove ownership without providing details and nullifiers prevent double spends. Thirdly, Transactions are protected and observers can only see transactions themselves but not the value contained, where the inputs came from, or where they are going. Finally, I see professional team working not the first year for their product. So, there are a lot of reasons to think that ZCash can get high volume on the first weeks/month. Remember, when Monero was rising so fast, other altcoins were going down. We will see. I may be wrong. It will be speculative unless there are places that can use it for anonymous payments  Yep, the bottom line is the "holy grail" for sure. Doesn't matter what you have if no one wants it. Keeping an eye on Zcash but not impressed just yet... |

To sum it up, BitBay's peg must be classified as a trust based peg, and has chosen the safer version -a soft peg. The rest is micro economics -supply and demand. The revolutionary concept is that it is decentralized! Every other peg is centralized, i.e., controlled and/or dependent on one person or group of persons. If he/they fail, the peg fails!
For me, a peg becomes the all encompassing reason a given instrument exists, meaning, it becomes so important, if the given peg fails, all confidence in the underlying instrument drains away fast. And then whatever news/updates/current development going on at that time becomes very secondary, to re-instating the peg. And even if its achieved, that confidence takes a while to return, if ever. Interested to see how this pans out. That's exactly why the solution needs to be decentralized. BitUSD relies on the success of BitShares, NuBits on custodians, Tether on backers Nobody who is serious about finance should vest too much in those It must be decentralized and that's what we are making. I mean if we can even find a way to boost volume on bittex and get attention of polo and show them the work and dedication behind this project it would be impossible for them not to add us. I still think a second ICO would have been a great thing months back when ICO was all the rage after eth. We think about the name of POSA3.
This name was choosen by old dev team and our solution to sent anon transactions does not depend from PoS. So proof of stake anonymous is not a good name for that tech.
So we are searching a new name. any suggestions?
