341  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why are rich countries rich and poor countries poor? on: May 20, 2017, 05:51:04 AM
Never heard of this before. I agree with the threat of a sodomy charge though. Heck, we've seen it used on a politician in Malaysia.

And this the main problem with working in the Middle East that I preferred eking out a living in my country, how ever low the pay is. It's not exactly the best place for human right, even with its own citizens. Migrant worker protection is at a bare minimum, if even present and  embassies of countries with workers there are pretty much powerless. Many things happen to workers there without the news even reaching  the embassy. There are actually people who were only found out to be in prison once penalties like lashing or execution was announced.

I'm not saying that every employer there is evil. My cousin was treated fairly even as a newcomer, and there are news stories here of grown-ups lovingly looking for their old nannies but for every person that got lucky, there's just as much that got it bad and some never lived to tell their story.

Yes... Even among the Arabs, there are a lot of good people. I know once instance, when an immigrant suddenly passed away due to cardiac arrest. His employer (an Arab from Oman) sent his family a huge financial help on top of the arrears. But it is the attitude of the government which matters. In Saudi Arabia, if you are an immigrant, then you can't complain about your employer. If you do so, then most probably you will end up behind the bars.

Yes, government policies are also at fault here. They pretty much allow abuses to happen. There seem to be changes though, not just there but in other places heavily-reliant on foreign labor. I saw in the news a few months ago a couple that has been sent to jail for abusing their helper. It's not much but an improvement. We all know that a Muslim there will not be given capital punishment for killing a kuffar but that people are now going to jail just for abuse would have a positive effect. They seem to be very "honor" oriented there and going to jail would be scandalous for the reputation.

But also the faith is still higher than its own laws. Rather everything in there law has something to do with there holy book. The country also is also considered a rich country even though they have a lot of issues regarding imigrants. Sure there are news about there economic but still they have many infrastructures and also there oil wealth. They probably has some of the weirdest laws and still a country that was not affected by time fashion but still it is a rich country.
342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Steem actually profitable? on: May 20, 2017, 05:27:41 AM
Have you actually used Steem before? It makes me wonder whenever you could make some serious profit out of it, or it would just be better off to look out for other ways to expand your earnings.

The concept of getting paid for social media content is cool, but I have my doubts of how much I could earn with the Steem platform, since I'm pretty new to it.

Also, I find it rather confusing having three different cryptocurrencies like Steem, Steem Dollars, and Steem Power. Could someone enlighten me in this by the way?

Nevertheless, I would love to hear your thoughts about the possibility of profiting with this new way of publishing content.  Smiley

1. Yes u can make money. A good post will make 50-100$. However u need to get some whales to vote for you which is not easy if u are unknown. In my experience it is a lot easier to make $10 on steem than anywhere else. However making real money requires work and dedication.

2. As to the currencies: its really simple. There is steem ans sbd. Sbd are worth $1 and steem fluctuate. Steem Power is just locked up steem. U need people with steem power to vote for u in order to get high pay outs.

Well i just checked the site and it is really aluring. I already registered and probably they said i need a confirmation email before i can try so i guess from these posts and from what i read you really need to get famous in that forum alone. I don't want to give my hopes up but i want to try it and see if i get lucky. It is really good for knowledge and it also has some btc info that is very helpful for this forum too. Looking forward to work with u guys.
343  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin also lead to corruption ? on: May 20, 2017, 04:35:57 AM
Corruption with bitcoin is even more easy. There is no refund option with bitcoin so we cant get our stolen money  back if we didnt get colaterral or If he is maybe from same coutry like as and we can proof that but it is really hard to proof it.Also bitcoin is anonymously so nobody cant track it so it is easy for use for mafia.
I don’t think corruption is easier with bitcoin since your transactions are very easy to track unlike what you can do with cash that is completely anonymous, so I think you are mistaken on that.

Well also it is the reverse, btc transaction is very much random and one transaction is different from each other even though with those million transactions. Each transaction is very unique and you can't reverse check anything once it is sent. Cash on the other hand has a chance to be hacked or even so stolen. The only payment we are giving is the transaction fees but is just the coins just keeps on coming over the web.
344  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: May 20, 2017, 03:57:23 AM
WOW

What was the last time a massacre of almost 40 happened in the play offs?

I guess will 4-0 for Cleveland, and all handicaps covered by Cleveland

Yap to be exact it was 44 and damn. It was on there own homecourt. It is very disappointing for a #1 seeded to team be humiliated that way. But oh well thats just how the cavs play. All players are healthy and the celtics had nothing to do during there surge. Well i dont know about the west but the only issue is the injury of kawhi. either way I hope the spurs can make a comeback during this season because they still got many veterans in there team.
345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin eventually kill Altcoin? on: May 20, 2017, 03:41:18 AM
I think a variety of altcoin will bloom, not only bitcoin, like XRP, ETH, the market capitalization has reached half of bitcoin.

Yap and i think it is the otherwise, bitcoin gave life to altcoins. It it started with only one known coin then these altcoins spawned from thin air. Maybe right know it's hard for other coins to increase via price but still. Many altcoins now have different agendas on there own. It maybe hard to control but in there own time they might actually might get high. Because technically it is still too early to decide whether coins are dying or not.
346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why altcoin prices down when bitcoin up. on: May 19, 2017, 05:59:47 PM
When Bitcoin surges altcoins usually dumps, so people take advantage to buy the dips. But not all alts dumps when btc rises. I think people sell alts when they see btc pumps so that they can convert bitcoin to fiat or/and also buy dips from alts vice versa.

In my opinion, because mostly Bitcoin is the center of the trade. And currently Bitcoin is on surge in just 2 days it rise up to a 200$. And I agree that it is not always that when Bitcoin goes up everyone coin goes down. The tendency for an Altcoin to be profitable is to watch it's rise in its fluctuation on how many was sent out and how much it rises everyday.
347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the next $10 Billion Blockchain? on: May 19, 2017, 11:10:41 AM
Ethereum market cap at 10 billion anytime soon!  Its only matter of hour.  9.924 billion now  Shocked

Yes and also not because its the 2nd in the market cap but it has a lot of investors in it. To think he is the most famous altcoin owner and most intriguing because he only 23 years old and his money is just on the virtual currency. He is not on any millionaire list and i guess that is one of the reason there are many young coins in the market.
348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which of these hashing Algorithm is the best on: May 19, 2017, 10:56:59 AM
Hello,
Among SH256,SHA3 and Keccak25 which one is the best hashing Algorithm ? Support your answer with reasons.

sha256 is better to leave it to bitcoin i think, sha3 is nexus using this algo? or a variant i don't remember and keccak25 is an old algo, you should focus on new algo, like timetravel10, blake2s the one from HODL i forgot the name, but for me the best oen is alwys the oen that make asic hard to make for it, any hard memory algo is good for this

Mostly the most familiar thing to me is the sha256. While I was reading things about cryptography, the sha-256 algorithm generates an almost-unique, fixed size 256-bit (32-byte) hash that may be the same with one time pad because it cant be decrypted and it is a one way function. This makes it suitable for password validation and i think this is the most famous one?
349  Other / Politics & Society / Re: World War 3 on: May 19, 2017, 10:47:34 AM
Right now the world is preparing for a giant nuclear war.

Nope. The chances of something like that happening is quite remote. None of the super-powers (not even the United States) are likely to use nuclear weapons against their rivals, as the retaliation is going to be far worse.
If world war 3 happens

Then mankind will disappear from this world
Nuclear is very dangerous because we know Japan itself until now still feel nuclear made by united states.

They will not allow the use of nuclear weapons, because it can destroy the entire planet. Even if they survive, they will not be interested in remaining without all the benefits of civilization.

I think world war 3 can also be fought via information leaks and virtual communications, Aside from nukes, whoever has the most advance proramming can easily manipulate the war with false informations in the entire web. Because this is the only thing new in the recent war. The internet wars. And obviously worldwide death that can cause major drop in todays population.
350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How many cryptocurrencies are there and what are they called? on: May 19, 2017, 10:34:49 AM
Bitcoin and altcoins are all cryptocurrency so that what they are called cryptocurrency is a virtual or digital money like bitcoin as what you know it is a virtual money have a value, a very high value that almost 2000$ in the crptocurrency it is the most successful or the king in the digital world so other also want success and they created also a copy of bitcoin they are altcoins or alternative coin.

And also coin are mined in the world wide web. Each has its own unique feature depending on what the platform is trying to pursue. Some coins are decentralized and some are centralized. There are other coins which was used for schemes and there are other projects which needs some support and are really legit for investments.
351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [TOR] Torcoin - X11 PoW - Tor Integrated Crypto - Torcoin.org on: May 19, 2017, 10:21:25 AM
TorCoin is looking strong today and heading to $2 soon

Also >> Sig campaign paying in TOR will be ending, and I will not be paying out anymore TOR bounties on this forum, as it seems to depress the price (only sellers here, no buyers)

Also >> We will be listed on Cryptopia very soon!

It's sad the payment for the the signature campaign will not be in TORcoin anymore. Maybe you can reconsider this for another week to those people who joined in the campaign to earn and hoard the coins just like me. Last week I bought 20 TorCoins when the price is under 90k+,I'm still holding and waiting for the price to rally to the moon.

354  Other / Archival / Re: Do you think that you're addicted to gambling? on: May 15, 2017, 03:32:55 AM
As the title says, do you think that you're addicted to gambling? or you just don't realize that you're addicted Roll Eyes
If you ask me, i used to addicted to gambling but stopped after suffer big losses even though i'm still in profit.

Yes i get addicted to gambling before and then I realize that i have been lost my bitcoins in may wallet , i didnt know because im just to focus on the money that i have been losing i just want to earn it back without knowing that my money has lost. Greediness is my problem , i need to overcome it and try to play again, i need to stay on focus.

Firstly it's important to understand and realize you got addicted. This has come about when you are slave to a behavior and unable to stop without help. You can restrain yourself all you want then what are you going to do. Do you even understand what you need to do? Do you realize that lack of power has got you into the mess when you got lost? Reflect on your action and never do the same again.
355  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much have you lost / win on Bitcoin dice ? on: May 15, 2017, 01:54:07 AM
I have lost a lot and I didn't want to gamble anymore after that. I think it's around 0.5 bitcoin, and I don't think it's healthy anymore, it's just not playing with money, it's choosing priorities over other better priorities.

As far as the advise for limiting amounts of money when you gamble, as a gambler you should able to sustain that for any period of time. If you don't want to gamble anymore, get busy with life do some activities that lead you in a healthy lifestyle. It's not easy when the urge strikes but you really need to control yourself when that time comes.
356  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: May 15, 2017, 12:02:53 AM
There is really nothing wrong with gambling, the only thing problematic is when one becomes addicted to it and starts to lose money especially money they dont have.

Just a warning to those still gamblers and not yet ready to quit, you will know when it empties your wallet or bank but it will be ages before you know it bankrupts who you are. Gambling gives you a high and promises so much more, but behind your back while your not looking it robs who you are, it pumps you full of anxiety and stress, it enslaves you without you knowing, until the point where you can't live without it, you just can't feel anything without it.
357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to quit Gambling for good? on: May 14, 2017, 10:00:43 PM
Anyway keep fighting gambling, and though seems too simple or overrated, the fact the we can refrain from gambling one day at a time brings in so much comfort and serenity. It feels good to wake up in the morning, and know that no matter how much loss you had, it was a good day sometimes to forget and to be free. You Only Live Once, get a life!

358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: what is definition gambling in your mind? on: May 14, 2017, 09:38:34 PM
Gambling is designed for the casino to win, otherwise which businessman will own a business casino where his risk to lose will be higher than to win? The part of gambling is to understand and accept that word winning is only in your mind. In reality you will struggle to win over the house, think about it.
359  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin dead? on: May 14, 2017, 03:08:28 PM
Is bitcoin dead? I don;t think so, what now? The rally price of Bitcoin will be closing to $2000 soon and with the up coming countries will adapt Bitcoin as their currency. How come bitcoin will die, as time passes by some people gaining awareness of what Bitcoin can do beyond their imagination.
360  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where and which part of day do you gamble? on: May 14, 2017, 02:27:42 PM
It's already 10: 20PM and I'm playing at Bitdouble because there's an event a while ago (Happy Mothers Day trivia Event on Bitdouble.io). Sometimes I join in any event and contest from others site if there is, I participate just to try my luck. There's no a certain time and day which day I play because it depends on a situation, my mood, if there's a free giveaway and whatsoever.
