341  Other / Meta / Re: Forum ranks/positions/badges still update every 30 min? on: June 14, 2017, 01:03:48 PM
If you hadn't been posting everyday since 2014, sometimes it takes sometime for it to reflect the activity added. But I did notice lately that the activity has been updating late, I'm not quite sure though why it did take some time for the activity to reflect on the profile.
342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves vs Stratis on: June 14, 2017, 12:09:47 PM
I'd go for waves, though both are a work in progress and they are progressing too but I weighed it more in the waves coin.
343  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: btc crossing 3,000 $ today ? on: June 14, 2017, 11:01:08 AM
to me it seems like price is stabilizing above $2700 rather than wanting to test $3000 again because we tested that price recently and it didn't work out and because of that the big dump happened (whales saw more rise is not possible so they dumped to make profit by buying at the bottom).

with that said anything is possible i doubt we can see $3000 TODAY! because although the volume is high there are still lots of sells happening too.

i can see large buying orders on many exchangers

please take some screenshot or something and include it next time so we can see what you see.

Same here, I think the price is actually maintaning around $2600 - $2750 or more but not more than $3000 today. And I doubt it'll be trying to reach more than $3000 today though. And I agree to let us see the large buying orders on those exchangers you saw so we could see your point of view because as far as what I see currently I don't see any large orders though.
344  Other / Meta / Re: Sir can I give small donation for rank on: June 13, 2017, 09:01:33 AM
I read that by giving some btc one can become donator. Can I give small donation to upgrade my rank to senior member?

There is no short cut to ranking up to a much higher rank, you have to wait every 2 weeks to add activity in your profile. I think donations are for adding your trust or something. And why are you in a hurry ranking up to a Sr. Member by the way? To earn more when enrolling signature campaigns?
345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do we really have enough 'cryptocurrencies'? on: June 13, 2017, 07:59:26 AM
I don't think we need enough cryptocurrencies, I think we already have a lot of them judging by what I see on some trading sites. Plus those added tokens too.
346  Economy / Speculation / Re: Australia accepting bitcoin and SegWit from 1st of August on: June 13, 2017, 06:57:20 AM
So as we know, Japan accepted and the price jumped to 2500$ and now on first july Australia is accepting bitcoin and from 1st August segwit is implemented (as I've read online). Will we see the $3500 price until september? Will that stabilize the price a little?

I think we'll see $ 4000 in September and $5000 until December, we just have to wait.

Since the segwit novel does not bring more news I think we can see  $5000 in December

Yeah but aside from Australia accepting Bitcoin I don't think there is much difference though. I've read somewhere in this forum stating after the segwit Bitcoin might split so there is a big chance the price might go down. But we can never tell what will happen not until it'll be the 1st of August because usually if people here news about Bitcoins or any other altcoins, usually the prices go up.
347  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with the people who don't like Bitcoin? on: June 13, 2017, 06:05:18 AM
Yeah hatred could be due to lack of knowledge and being close minded. If they were people who are close to me, I'm sure they would listen to what I would try to say or explain to them, I will just make sure I will explain to them or educate them in the most simplest possible terms so they won't get confused too.
I agree with you . It all depends on how to recognize bitcoin and how to educate bitcoin to others. When the delivery of bitcoin is easy to understand it will be easier to influence others. Need enough knowledge to do this, we are required to be more careful in doing this.
Truth is, you can always easily take a horse to the stream, but getting it to drink is a matter for another day! Openly declared hatred is not same thing as ignorance, the former is rather a decision reached after some supposed good enough knowledge of a matter, so education isn't really their problem. Incidentally, we gave a number of them even here, they dont like Bitcoin and yet they are promoting Bitcoin based campaigns - who is fooling who?

I was basically replying to the term used by the OP, I don't want to use the term ignorant or ignorance because he said "he suddenly talks about his hatred on Bitcoin, what would you react to it?" But you are correct though, declaring his hatred over bitcoin is different from being ignorant because if he is then he would've had said anything about bitcoin and so on. And yeah there are a lot of people joining campaigns and posts on their point of view about bitcoin but are paid with bitcoin as well. Ironic isn't it?
348  Economy / Speculation / Re: price after segwit? on: June 12, 2017, 06:41:39 PM
There is no certainty about whether segwit will ever activate but if it does for sure we will see at least a doubling of the bitcoin price. The only thing that could top this kind of news is an ETF approval in my opinion.

You read my mind, and I totally agree with you on this. And everyone would love to see bitcoin double up its price but there is also some downside to it. If it pumps it surely will dump after. And also I don't think the ETF approval is happening anytime soon.
349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Dogecoin? on: June 12, 2017, 06:20:00 PM
For the sake of the question and since I can't vote through your poll I'll answer it by posting here instead. Bitcoin of course, you'd be an imbecile if you'd choose Dogecoin over Bitcoin.
350  Economy / Speculation / Re: IS BITCOIN GOING BACK DOWN? on: June 12, 2017, 05:56:18 PM
Anything is possible in the world of bitcoin, but if ever the price goes down to that amount then we should all brace ourselves because if that's the case then for those who are holding bitcoins would be depressed I mean look at its price right now, it's almost $3k and if it goes down to half of its value. I think a lot would be panic selling I'm sure.

Currently bitcoin is dumping at $2300 and probably would go down more. Is this what they were saying, that bitcoins price would drop down and possibly reach at around $1500? Now I'm worried seeing the graphs and charts.
351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bancor ICO has crashed MEW on: June 12, 2017, 05:34:51 PM
So this explains why I wasn't able to log in to MyEtherWallet, should I be worried though? Do I need to transfer my funds left on this wallet. Has anyone tried to access them just now?
352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long is a long-term hodl? on: June 11, 2017, 05:18:43 PM
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on how long their long-term HODL is. It depends on how you interpret the long part when trading, because there are some who see a week or a month as long already. But for others like myself, long-term would take around 6 months or more but wouldn't reach up to 6 years though except for bitcoin which I can say I could HODL until like 10 years or more.
353  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What goods have you got from bitcoin results? on: June 11, 2017, 04:11:34 PM
Currently I haven't bought any goods or anything yet out of my bitcoins, I'm actually saving it for any future expenditures or emergency needs. We don't know what will happen in the future and of course, living in a third world country makes it hard for you to get out of the hospital if you can't pay downpayments and etc. So by being practical, I won't buy anything but I'll just save it instead.
354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The billion dollar cryptocurrency you have never heard of? on: June 11, 2017, 02:54:15 PM
I got curious to what cryptocurrency everyone has been talking about. We will just have to wait on the 13th then if which is which.
355  Economy / Speculation / Re: IS BITCOIN GOING BACK DOWN? on: June 11, 2017, 12:51:00 PM
It is possible it will dump at that value but we don't know when that will happen, but one thing is for sure. Bitcoin will do halving around 3 years from now.

The dump in the future is not the same in the past. Bitcoin now reach stable condition and that's mean that this current price now is the possible lowest price in the future.  Bitcoin is now starting to pump. Read the graphs to follow on what I'm saying.

Oh I actually read bitcoins graph, but I am not an expert on reading charts yet. Still practicing and doing more research too about bitcoin, it was just my opinion stating it is "possible" it will dump. There are a lot of reasons or possibilities why it will dump in the future but I'm hoping it will not happen though.
356  Economy / Speculation / Re: If you have 10 bitcoin !! on: June 10, 2017, 02:42:47 PM
If you have BTCBTC 10 BTC BTCBTC you will sold it now with 2800 USD ? or hold it for the future ?

and if you hold it for the future , for how much ..... USD you will sold it ?

I would definitely hold it probably until 2020 then if bitcoin halving will happen by then I will get half of the bitcoin and invest or buy again BTC's when the price is low.
357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which is the min. BTC amount to own that will make you rich one day? on: June 10, 2017, 01:10:44 PM
Yes it does depend on where you live and what country you live in, because it really depends on the cost of living. You said so yourself, not necessarily a millionare but with a house, nice car and a decent life. Now let me ask you this, how much would you like to spend to build a house and of course if your building a house you buy the lot too so that's another thing to spend and for the car' like what kind of nice car are you eyeing for, around how much would that cost? You probably need a lot of BTC to achieve those things and its maintenance of course, then compute around how much minimum BTC you would want to save now for you to be rich someday.
358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BCN better than BTC? on: June 10, 2017, 08:31:08 AM
yawn....

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=512747.0

A lot of discussion already in the main thread. You may need some time to go through and frame your own opinion.

PS: A lot of people will reply here saying BCN is a pre-mine scam. And there will be a lot of counter-opinions also. I suggest you don't rely on their opinions, rather do your own research.

I agree. Nothing to see here or read here. Nothing to debate here either, before speculating that a certain coin is better than Bitcoin google it first the answers are all there.
359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When to leave the game? on: June 10, 2017, 07:31:43 AM
Leave the game when you think you have enough profit. Never ever tell yourself that you can still gamble and win more because you will only lose in the end. People tend to do that and end up losing everything.
Enough profits ? If I would have got chances to have some profits, probably I will stop gambling right after those profits. Unfortunately I never get chances to see any profits and for the process of recovering my earlier losses, I keep on gambling and leaving the gambling only when I am running short of bankroll. You are just talking of positive side of gambling but I am still struggling with negative earning.

When gambling is giving you some satisfaction in terms of at least some little profits, you will be thinking to stop at right times. But when you are struggling and you are not at all finding any justification why you come to gamble then most probably you will never stop.

What are you trying to say then? Of course when you gamble, you don't really expect you'd profit that much. I don't know how you gamble but when I was into gambling, I set or I have a target amount on when to stop. And it is expected you'd have lots of losses than winnings on gambling, its pure luck for those who always win when they gamble too. Probably what he/she meant about enough profit is the target amount he/she set she gained from playing.
360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Invest to XRP or BCN ? on: June 09, 2017, 02:08:39 PM
If I were to choose between those two, neither of those would I invest my money on. I'd rather choose an altcoin that has a great effect or positive effect in the society. I'd rather do more research on what coins I would put my money on especially if its for long term.
