I have been following this Coin for a week now and really like the active participation of people and Dev here. I just want to know one question before i setup my static node. Can you tell me exactly what is the benefit of having a static node ?
Benefit of having a Static Node is, rewards will come from the 100 XBY fee for each transaction and these fees are distributed to the STaTiC Nodes as payment for their contribution to the XtraBYtes network. Some part of fees will also go to community. Percentage not yet decided. |

OK. That's the code. Thank you But is there an online place running this script? I would like to check how many nodes are running. Investors need to validate that all the hype about the nodes is confirmed by actually nodes being created. The dev said he want a good quantity of nodes, like 256. That's a huge quantity of nodes and it's easy to see that a good proportion of the XtraBYtes cheerleaders are short term profit hop'ers. I'm not attacking, I'm not trolling. Legit concerns only. Let's see the seriousness of this community. Thanks The opportunity to create a node and profit from 100 coin transaction fee is really interesting. 1 million at current price its 1BTC I just don't have otherwise you could of stuck me on that list. 500k required to get a node. 1 million was the earlier requirement. Hi all small announcement about the project gaining more exposure.
While building our social media presence I was contacted by Emily the Chief marketing officer of coincap/shapeshift.io . XtraBYtes is on the list to be added to coincap.io within the next two weeks when the next round of new additions is added. They will announce the addition through all their social media channels ie. twitter, slack, facebook.
Our social media presence will really start to come to life over this coming week, so stayed tuned.

Can I suggest a new moderated thread when the team get their ducks in line and have a new website and someone to do the graphics etc. All great coins early on get FUDed to death because traders are frustrated they can't buy a large amount cheap so they want the price drop.
agree. I wonder if we should change the name later. its fine for crypto but its not very user friendly if average people use it. A new moderated thread may be something to consider and we will discuss the PROS and CONS of this in the newly forming committee (if interested in being on the committee, please see this post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1864397.msg18740035#msg18740035 ) Changing the name? You mean to not use XtraBYtes? I personally believe this is the most powerful brand name we could ever ask for in the space we are entering. We can and will build massive campaigns around this name. I am about as worried about the FUD and Trolls as I am about going to the bathroom later... but if they lie and are rude, they are shown the door with truth and collective hammers. Anyone informed by reading our thread is a solid supporter of XBY and XtraBYtes. We do not need to worry about the people saying bad things in an effort to drive down the price of the coin so that they can buy low and sell high... It's all good and just brings more attention  For Fud's & Troll's all I will say that ' Let them throw stones and bricks at us, so that we can build a house from it'. Secondly we should continue with the name XtraBytes . |

I was thinking of creating an address for collecting PIE, BTC and other altcoin donations so that they could be used to pay listings in exchanges and other things. Yobit or Livecoin Generally, I was thinking about taking over the social function of this coin.
Only still possible that DEV will come back, last login a month ago so it is not so bad.
Great idea! PieCoin could need some help concerning this. It would be cool if you could make PieCoin available at Yobit, Livecoin or other markets. More markets mean more independency. Would be great to hear from you. cu Pikku Nice idea, let's implement it. |

Should I buy Burst at current levels or wait for some fall in the price ?
Well it has come down from a recent high of just over 200 sats and is current at 166 sats so it might be a good time to buy some Burst coins now. However it could come down some more and if so it will be interesting to see if it can hold above 150 sats which was a resistance price for a while which Burst finally broke through and shot up to over 200 sats. I've been buying as much Burst I can when I can as I and many others believe it will be a lot higher in the near future in the range of 500 to 1,000 sats some time this year. Yes bought it, will hold for long term. |

Requested adding XBY to livecoin voting Thanks , livecoin is a good exchange. I have an active account there, will vote for XBY whenever it gets added to voting list. Yes, this looks like a nice exchange. I see top volume of about 128 BTC for altcoin other than: BTC, LTC, DASH and ETH. This bring me to another opportunity for the community. It seems that each of these exchanges have affiliate programs and I think it might be a good idea to have an XtraBYtes account link on the ANN that "new users" entering the crypto space can link through if they want to trade XBY. The commissions from this account will be dedicated 100% to the XtraBYtes community. Full transparency of the account will of course be revealed on a regular basis, as decided by the community. Thoughts please? Nice idea, go for it please. |
