3401  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if, we advertise bitcoin on T.V.? on: May 05, 2017, 12:23:07 PM
I guess this would be possible if someone created a crowdfunding campaign for it and enough people joined in.
But would it make that much of a difference? As the Bitcoin price increases, you'd have enough free advertising by news websites and even on TV.

Why pay for advertising on TV when you basically already have it for free....
Once Bitcoin goes over $2000, you can be sure it will be covered by pretty much all major news networks.
3402  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Access to Insider Information? on: May 04, 2017, 10:30:27 PM
I think that it would be really hard to convict someone for insider trading with crypto-currency.
How would you even go about defining what insider trading is?

Developers wouldn't even be allowed to hold some of the cryptocurrency that they're working on if the laws were similar to those of stock trading.
3403  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin e-store on: May 04, 2017, 08:47:08 PM
I would suggest to look into the Woocommerce plugin, it's not too difficult to install and set it up by yourself, even if you don't have a lot of coding experience.
The GoURL plugin would be another option.
3404  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Most of the money on: May 04, 2017, 08:44:42 PM
Honestly in my own i am making profit or win for the first time in dice game but most of the winning amount is from sports betting because its more easy to predict than the other game.. you can watch the previous games unlike other game that almost depends in luck..
So most of my money is from sports betting.

Usually, I see only few gamblers will be here who win money in dice, even i see mostly gamblers have lost in dice. Also my experience about dice, it is very hard to earn from dice. But about sports betting, Yes, in sports we could earn from it, if we use our strategy and skills.
It's practically impossible to win a lot of money from dice in the long term, but I've seen a lot of people who'd won a nice amount in one session. It's not that uncommon.
Also remember that dice games usually have one of the lowest house edges of all gambling games.

Seeing a house edge of under 1% is not that rare, if you compare that to the house edge of most slot games (usually more than 5% even), it's not a bad game.
3405  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WTF@BTC transaction fee? on: May 04, 2017, 03:16:56 PM
Why don't you just send it with 0 fees if you have a problem with it? Fees aren't mandatory Smiley.
Wouldn't it just get dropped from the network after a really long waiting time?
I would just wait until the amount of unconforimed transactions is lower, I know it's not ideal but it's probably faster than sending with zero fees :p
3406  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: New Project WorkingForBitcoins.com! Come help test it out! on: May 04, 2017, 03:12:23 PM
Wow this is a great and amazing idea. I have been wondering why there is no such site for the many months...akin to Fiverr and accepting Bitcoin as the method of payment (MOP). I am sure that if you guys manage it well, it would capture a good slice of the market as we are already in the Bitcoin revolution on a global scale.

I am wishing you all goodluck! Soon I will be on that site too. Smiley
What kind of market are you talking about? Look at other similar sites and they're not all that active to be honest.

I must say that your site does look very good and I hope that you can make this work. But I really wonder if there is a market for another Bitcoin-exclusive job/gig marketplace.
3407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LTC reach 1 billion market cap before DASH on: May 04, 2017, 03:08:31 PM
Well, that went fast Cheesy

I wouldn't personally be investing too much into Dash anymore, if a buncdh of those masternodes take their funds out and sell it, we would be seeing a huge drop in price.
With LTC on the other hand, I would expect the price to keep rising relativily slower and it would remain high.

Add the fact that we're seeing some (former) BTC-exclusive exchanges adopt LTC too now, it's looking very positive.
3408  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Lock Bitcoins For a period of time " Deny self access " on: May 04, 2017, 02:58:10 PM
Another non-conventional way of doing this would be to buy a physical safe with a timelock and put a paper wallet in there and just set the timelock for the maximum amount of time.
I've found one on Amazon that had a maximum locking time of one week, but there might be others that you could set for longer amounts of time.

They're somewhat expensive though.

https://www.amazon.com/Time-Lock-Safe/dp/B00NFIDTMK

This safe is expensive but even if one can afford it I don't think it is the answer. Imagine what would happen when one week was over and the gambler "finally" had access to his funds. Most likely he would gamble away everything immediately.

I think it would better for OP to transfer all his BTC to a wallet belonging to a person he trusts, wife, mother, father or another close relative.

Then he would have to lock it again and like I said, there might be safes that have a longer locking time than 1 week.
Also, you could use the safe for other stuff as well, so it's not like it's money wasted if you bought it.

I mean, it's the same for every solution, you still need to control yourself when you can access your funds again, whether it's a week, a month or a year.
3409  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Japanese exchanges increasing on: May 04, 2017, 02:55:08 PM
Here are some 2015 GDPs via Google:

Russia: 1.3 trillion
India: 2.0 trillion
Japan: 4.1 trillion
China: 10.9 trillion
USA: 18.0 trillion

People have always focused on China, and Russia to some extent. But Japan alone is already quite significant. And India will likely follow this month. Could this start as a trickle, and then snowball ? Could this be the beginning of the time that all of us have been waiting for?
Do you have a source for mentioning that India would likely soon be following?
I would've thought that they could very well be implementing regulations against Bitcoin as opposed to for it...
3410  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where to pay with credit card? on: May 04, 2017, 02:50:00 PM
I think there are some sellers on LocalBitcoins and Paxful who accept credit card payments.
Do keep in mind that they usually charge extra fees for that service.

Virwox would also be an option, but again, added fees.
3411  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you know if a gambling site is scam or not? on: May 04, 2017, 02:44:40 PM
I wonder how you do your research if a gambling site is scam or not?
To know if a gambling site is a scam or not i will check if there are many users on that site and i will look at there certificate if they can be trusted. It's a good thing that i haven't experience being scam by a gambling site.
If there's a 'certificate' on the website, that's usually not even a real guarantee that they will not scam.
They just register in countries with pretty lax laws on gambling or the certificates are fake.

I would just look at their track record and never keep any funds on their website unless I'm gambling there.
I'd also only play on sites that offer instant payout.

3412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin Price Skyrockets as Coinbase Adds LTC on: May 04, 2017, 02:41:29 PM
Wouldn't surprise me if we see the price double again in the next coupkle of weeks or months.
I'm guessing there will be other exchanges that will be following suit soon, LTC has had some really positive developments in the past couple of weeks.

3414  Economy / Economics / Re: Mining coins save or sell it? on: May 03, 2017, 02:35:19 PM
I guess its time the coins or bitcoins to save it. Because i believe that currency of the bitcoin will go high and high for the next 5 years so Therefore you just mine and earn and more stocks as long its not totally high like 100, 000 pesos in our currency which is the philippines in the future.  I guess its 2000$ = 1 bitcoin for the next 2 years.

Two thousand dollars is not very far and it is not 2 years away from reaching it. Possibly by next month of June or by the end of the year we can see the price of bitcoin at Two thousand dollars per bitcoin. But if we speak about five years from now the price of bitcoin will not stay at 2000$ but rather the price at that time would be at 6000 or 10000 $.
The biggest factors for a big price increase in the next couple of years, say, 6000 or 10k dollar in 5 years like you mention is whether there will be a solution to the scaling issue.
If segwit gets activasted, you can almost certainly expect a huge price increase almost right after it happens.

Over 2k isn't that far off.
3415  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best IOS wallet? on: May 03, 2017, 02:31:58 PM
Definitely Breadwallet in my opinion, it's easy to use and it's secure.
Something that also matters to me is the fact that it's open-source, but I reckon many users don't really care about that.
3416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most successful ICO ever ? on: April 28, 2017, 10:34:31 PM
It's probably Ethereum if you look at how much they've earned for their investment.
But I would be cautious with newer ICO's, for every one that has succeeded, there are prob ably dozens or more that have failed big-time!

what was the ico price for eth? 50c?

i'd love to know how many people still have all of their eth from back then.

I think you can find most of the information regarding the ETH ico here:
https://blog.ethereum.org/2014/07/22/launching-the-ether-sale/

Just a quote frrom that page:

Quote
The price of ether is initially set to a discounted price of 2000 ETH per BTC, and will stay this way for 14 days before linearly declining to a final rate of 1337 ETH per BTC. The sale will last 42 days, concluding at 23:59 Zug time September 2.

I'll also list a number of websites that are pretty handy for people looking for ICO's to invest:
https://icotracker.net/

3417  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Idea for a game on: April 28, 2017, 10:26:27 PM
I think i would need a core team first to work out a nice businessplan (the basic idea will be written by me, but stuff like f.e. how payments are made, via an api,...), well i think i shouldn't deside that.

So my idea would be first of all 3 people:
A coder which knows unity3d or something what would be used.
Someone who is really into bitcoin, and can code for integration of payments.
And me.

If the plan what we do is worked out, we will know how much additional people we will need to work on this.
As i see there people are interested in this and i even already have a beta tester  Grin i am getting serious with this.
I would apreciate it if you would be located in europe, for real life meetups, but i think its not necassary.
I think for the core team, that should be motivated people, i have seen from an earlier project i tried to start if the team doesn't consist of people wo say lets do it now, it will never happen

If someone wanna team up, this will be a project we will work out together, meaning you are a dev/owner of the game like me and you wont be paid but we share profits, as we start making profits.
Do you have any experience with coding?
I'd be interested in helping out with writing all the lore and text that you'd need for your RPG.

But only if I reckon this project has a chance of succeeding Wink
3418  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are bitcoins worth to become a career?? on: April 28, 2017, 10:23:17 PM
I am currently in a process of seeking a job. I wrote my professional resume and I mentioned my Bitcoin affinity.
Even if you are not a bitcoin developer or a programmer it is enough if you mention that you know what blockchain tech is all about to get you additional benefits.
So yeah, I think bitcoin your time lost while learning what is BTC and how it works will profit in the future.

What kind of job are you looking for? I don't think that would be a bonus to add on your resome for the majority of jobs that are available.
Maybe it would be an advantage for certain tech jobs, but even in that area it wouldn't do much for most of them.

You'd have joob chances of making Bitcoin your job if you create your own job or apply at companies that specifically cater to crypto-currency professionals.
3419  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you prefer 100% or 150% Welcome bonus ? on: April 28, 2017, 10:13:26 PM
I would honestly prefer to take no bonus at all, since the rollover requirements are just too high.
I mean, having to wager your bonus like 30x is just too much.

Add the fact that some casino's won't even let you withdraw before you reach that is just too silly.
3420  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who is winning the Race - Bitcoin or Paypal? on: April 28, 2017, 10:11:11 PM
Many say that paypal is the best payment processor, but, paypal can not or very difficult to use to play gambling. Well, paypal limits its members to some things.
I am not seeing any gambling sites are accepting PayPal as scammers may file chargeback once they finish up their works with the gambling site. Only very sites are allowing its members to withdraw using PayPal, most of them not allowing for adding money for bankroll.

Considering the advantages and problem free nature of bitcoins, both gamblers and gambling houses are enjoying more benefits compare to the case of adopting PayPal payment system.
Using PayPal as your payment processor for your gambling service is not easy.

You need to be be located in jurisdiction where gambling activities are legal and you have to verified by PayPal.

And the most important:
"PayPal allows approved gambling merchants to use our service in certain jurisdictions where gambling activities are legal.
To be approved by PayPal, merchants must demonstrate to PayPal's satisfaction that they have the ability to block gambling activities for account holders in the U.S. and any jurisdiction where gambling activities may be illegal".

Source: https://www.paypal.com/us/selfhelp/article/What-gambling-activities-does-PayPal-prohibit-FAQ915

So basically casino needs to prove that they can ban anyone they choose Wink
If you look at the post above yours, that's almost what I said and i even think that the TOS was even stricter in the past.
The only gambling websites that I've seen that offer Paypal deposits are in Belgium and they have very strict regulations for accepting players from other countries.
