3401  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2022-01-01] Indian Authorities Raid Cryptocurrency Exchanges for Tax Evasion on: January 18, 2022, 12:12:55 PM
People in the crypto industry should pay taxes by their own. It would had been a great headline if such exchanges had paid their GST on time and set an example showing the nation how much crypto is contributing towards the Taxes.

Crypto communities have always helped their countries, be it Covid relief or any other such requirements - people of the crypto communities have helped.

Surely the rules and the laws regarding crypto isn't all that clear and perhaps in time when the crypto bill goes live, it will be easier for these exchanges to pay their due.

I absolutely agree with what you said. The thing is that it's not obvious for some entities in crypto industry that trying to not break the law is actually a good thing. Some people want to see themselves as rebels, or, pirates, if you will, and pirates don't pay taxes, so they think it's cool to do the same.

Not everyone in the crypto industry is like that, of course, but it is unclear, especially to those from the older generation, that breaking the law is not cool anymore.

It is always our fault and not anyone's else that we are so greedy that we are ready to believe that we are necessarily going to win like those guys in the vids. We don't want to think about how much money they were risking, how many times they were losing before that big win etc., we just want to win like them right away. It is no wonder we are disappointed and broke, more often than not, following those expectations.
Agree with you. If you see a person crossing the road in the wrong place and we do the same and hit the car, should we blame that person? If you try to stop it, this will never stop. If you let it go with no attention at all, this will stop on its own.

I wouldn't dramatize it like that. Firstly, losing your balance on a gambling site is nothing close to be hit by the car. Secondly, those video bloggers are not "crossing the road in the wrong place" when playing slots and streaming the game. If you have not more than you can afford to lose on your balance, nothing terrible can happen to you. My point is, you can even try to mimic those streamers just for the fun of it, but you should do it an amount you afford to lose, that's all.
3403  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - Main sponsor of Southampton FC 👋👋 on: January 18, 2022, 10:58:50 AM
Yesterday a DHL package was delivered to my door. Did I know what it was? I thought I did, because, apart from other prizes, I won a t-shirt from this anazing competition, Sportsbet.io ⚽ FA Cup Special 🏆 Shirts, Cash, Free Bets (Jan 7) run by @notblox1.

But I was a bit wrong because not only a nice Southampton jersey was awaiting me in the parcel. As it happened the other time I won similar competition, there was more:

This time it was a premium quality scarf, and, believe it or not, I'm not planning to wear it only when I go to a football game with Southampton FC on the field. Smiley Sometimes we are getting pretty cold winter days down here, and this is when it can come in handy to have this wonderful scarf.

Thank you, @notblox1!

Thank you, Sportsbet.io!
3404  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Just seeing what interest there is for another Betnomi Poker Series on: January 17, 2022, 02:24:19 PM
This sounds interesting and would love to do a single or more tournament each week. I'm into poker and doing series would be a lot exciting. Betnomi is a trusted site though it will be my first time using it. I've been hearing lotshttps://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=274.0
of positive feedback about this site though so I don't doubt using it.

You are right regarding trusting Betnomi. I can say from my own experience that this is a site you can trust. Apart from being honest, they are running enormous amount of free rolls currently, and many tournaments with GTD prize pools. Register as soon as possible, and enjoy all the perks. Also, maybe spread the word on the Pilipinas boards. We might need more participants for another Bitcointalk Poker Series to kick off.

So instead of trying to find a good place like our forum to get recommendations about which casinos to avoid and which casinos to follow they instead use social media, and as we know social media is full of trolls, scammers and misinformation which causes people to gamble in casinos that we know have had a bad reputation in the forum for a very long time.

True that. I myself reported, and not once, impostors of known crypto casinos on social media. They promise unheard bonuses, and some people fall for that, unfortunately, only to realize later(too late in many cases)that is was a trap, and that their deposits have lost forever. You can use social media to communicate with your close friends and relatives, but it's not the best place for finding a reliable info. This forum, however, is such a place where you can get reliable info on various topics, including cryto gambling sites.

This is great news! Indeed, "When it comes to thrills and entertainment, Bitcasino never disappoints.". Just watched this video, King Kaka - Dundaing, and I think I'll be humming "I say tonight we are dunda (dundaing) ... " throughout this week, at least. Smiley Watch this song, and a positive energy charge for the day is guaranteed.

When you watch it, keep in mind that dundaing is a popular Kenyan phrase meaning to go out clubbing, to go to a club. It's a lot nicer to watch it knowing what dundaing means. Enjoy! Smiley

It is really fascinating what can happen, according to the S2F model it can reach $ 288k, which is a figure that I see very possible, of course, I do not know how long it will take to get there, but it will be reached, in fact the new ones ATH is what allows investors to continue to believe in BTC widely, what I can imagine in the future is that BTC will be everyone's default currency worldwide where money will be handled and transferred immediately and with the acceptance of all, I think this is not far, we have been seeing countries that are joining the adoption of BTC and this causes the demand to increase.

Yes, I think it's totally legit to apply the stock-to-flow model to Bitcoin, because BTC is a store of value(in spite of what haters say). We have built-in scarcity, not more than 21 million coins will ever exist. We have a diminishing supply, cut in half every 4 years. And, do we have strong demand? You bet we do! How long it will take to reach $288k? Just look at the history of Bitcoin price movements, 7x from today's price can be reached in less than a year.

I don't understand this part. What do you guys mean by "they don't give big wins"? Smiley
I didn't understand this part as well to be honest. I have observed many people win big amounts from Roobet which is why what they stated doesn't really make any sense.

Yeah, big wins happen on Roobet all the time. Here's just two latest ones:

Btw, I suggest everyone to join the army of their 156.1K twitter followers. Lots of interesting stuff is happening there, including giveaways and challenges with good prizes.

And as someone who played "Guess the Slot" a lot here on bitcointalk, I can say that the game is much easier on twitter, just look at the yesterday's challenge, for instance

If you play slots, you can say the answer right away.

Th reason is fine but how if the real owner lose their phone number accidentally? Since there is email verification, 2FA and even KYC verification, there should be a way to change the phone number by proving that the one who request to change the phone number is the real account. It reminds me that my registered phone number in Fortunejack is not active anymore since few years ago, fortunately phone number verification is something that is not being used regularly there is no significant problem related to phone number.
This is the next step to not paying.

I wont say that far, it is about phone number only which is not being used for any payment (at least till now). Even if it will be used to verify withdrawal and players has no access to the number, I'm sure Fortunejack will give an alternative way to verify as long as players can prove the ownership of the account.

I'm also sure they would, but can this issue arise at all? I mean, if you lose your phone, you can get the same number for a new SIM card. I don't know about all countries, but in most places this works for for sure.

Regarding FortuneJack's Wheel of Fortune, yeah, it looks like this one is for high rollers, but it's not like FJ doesn't care about regular gamblers like most of us here. Don't forget about Majestic7 where anyone has a chance of winning $10,000 in cash, regardless of how much they have wagered.

After so much research and watching highlight videos here are my Picks for the Upcoming UFC Fight Night highlighted in green are my picks.

Calvin Kattar VS Giga Chikadze

Stake odds are 2.90 For Kattar and 1.40 for Chikadze, Well pretty much I let the analysis slip through me, but I surely can not help it, and upon further reviewing Calvin Kattar, because I am really digging Giga Chikadze in winning this, I have search a better way for Kattar winning over Chikadze and I think that is his counter striking, he can sure give Chikadze a counter-attack but his strike rate isn't that much favorable and for Giga Chikadze can definitely check with a kick and could deliver his signature move the "Giga Kick" his been good on his technical striking and could also control the fight with his faints, and Calvin Kattar is not active for 1 year now, I don't know if he's in for this fight, but I sure like how Chikadze can set up this fight so well.

Katlyn Chookagian VS Jennifer Maia

Stake odds for these two fighters 1.54 for Chookagian and 2.44 for Maia, Being Maia the underdog, I think this is because Chookagian have win against Maia on November 2, 2019, well in my opinion Chookagian can throw so much volume on Maia, and this could be a repeat on history, but yeah that fight with Jennifer Maia VS Jessica Eye, but it is not that powerful and not a great volume with her striking, well I think this could be another win for Chookagian.

There should be a Muslim Salikhov VS Michel Pereira fight but it was scrapped after Muslim Salikhov's team reported for undisclosed reasons the fight was Canceled, and right now Michel Pereira has shifted his fight to UFC 270 and his opponent will be Andre Fialho.

Guys, I see many of you here haven't made their predictions in the UFC Vegas 46 Multi Master Challenge thread. It's free, guys, so, why not? Wink They are giving away nice prizes in the form of free bets.

Most of the people there bet on Giga Chikadze and Katlyn Chookagian, and it's understandable looking at the odds, but I decided to try my luck with betting on the underdogs. Not in my every pick exactly, but in most of them. I know my chances are slim, but we'll see how it turns out. Anyways, don't forget to make your picks, guys. There's not much time left.

This is an interesting experiment. Please share the results afterwards. Only one suggestion, if you don't mind. When you have your 50 WoF spins collected, don't spin them all at once, I mean don't click "play all" here

I tried it and it is so boring: you lose all the fun of spinning that Wheel of Fortune and expecting something big each time. Smiley

Well, we just have two options here. Either spin all at once and get cumulative results or spin one at a time.
Spinning 50 times would be a little hectic. May be we can spin some of it one at a time and the rest by spinning all at once.
But then sharing the result of spinning one at a time will also be cumbersome unless I just write it here in words.
What do you suggest we should do ?

If you don't enjoy spinning the WoF as I do, I can perfectly understand the "little hectic" part. Smiley In that case it is probably better to spin them all at once and post the table with results here, like other people do. I personally enjoy every spin. Also, I don't think 50 spins take a long time. Since solving captcha is not required, one spin takes about 4 seconds max. I would be happy to spend 200 seconds of my life spinning the Wheel of Fortune, but that's me, of course, do it the way you like it. Smiley

But this one must be wrong, some translation issue although it from an Indian newspaper

Quote
The GST Mumbai (East Commissionerate Zone), while investigating the business activities of cryptocurrency exchange WazirX, detected GST evasion of Rs 40.5 crore. In a statement, the agency said that they have recovered Rs 49.20 crore in cash from the firm which includes interest and penalty.

5 million euros in cash?  Undecided

I think the number is legit, because they keep repeating it in various news outlets. And why not? WazirX is not exactly the most law abiding company. It was claimed earlier that they were involved in money laundering, and it is likely that they just bribed the police to close the case(I may be wrong, but it's my impression of how things done in India most of the time). Keeping millions euros in cash just in case is not uncommon for such firms.
3418  Economy / Gambling / Re: Very immoral marketing strategy. on: January 13, 2022, 11:45:48 AM
Immoral or not, it depends on how we see it. There are laws prohibiting unfair or deceptive practices in advertisement, but they are different in different countries. And is showing your real wins on slots unfair or deceptive? I don't think so. As with any other advertisement, it is we who can make it harmful for us, not the ad itself. Ads are annoying sometimes, and in other times they make us buy unnecessary things, but the world would be less funny without them. And these big wins on slots, in particular, some of them are really fun to watch. Smiley
That simply talks about money and even it was immoral, they let it happen as it was paid already. It is sometimes to think that was too unfair, yes, it was but have less possibility that we can change the nature of this place. Then rather we saying it was too unfair, too immoral, maybe it was best to ignore them than be a big deal to it.

It is actually annoying when we heard such complaints but can't just put blame on them(ads) alone, we do it for ourselves then for listening and choosing them.

Thank you, I was going to, because support on Sportsbet.io is always helpful and responsive, and I have been helped by them many times, and they never fail to make me happy. Smiley

I just wanted to see if others had had the same issue, and how they dealt with it.

Honestly, I have no idea why it is there Smiley, probably from this competition
but, anyways, it looks like I can't use it, right? And my question is, if I by chance win $100,000 in USDT will the same happen? Can I improve my situation somehow?
That is your free bet from 4-3-3 promotion or the one you mentioned. You get 10$ for 3 correct and 50 for 4 correct in 4-3-3.

No matter, in order to use it you have to chose USDT as your main account currency. After you place the bet you can change back to whatever is your default.

That's exactly what I did after reading your reply, and it worked. Thank you so much!

I used the free bet immediately, and I won.

Now I know that I have a chance of winning $100 000 in USDT every week! Smiley
