3401  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should online gambling companies be responsible for harm related activities? on: July 30, 2021, 02:38:48 PM
If a gambling site does not violate any rules, norms and pays taxes, then it is not obliged to treat people with gambling addiction. This should be done by the state, which has licensed gambling activities on its territory and collects taxes from gambling sites.

Bottom line, gambling operators shouldn't be responsible for the aftermath of a gambler whether they end up in good or worst. It's our responsibility to act properly everytime we lose. Losing too much does really affect the mental health that might lead us into thinking crazy about how to recover those losses.

This should be done by the state, which has licensed gambling activities on its territory and collects taxes from gambling sites.

Actually, there are lots. However, a person that already falls into the trap of gambling will stay away as possible from those institutions.
3402  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: July 30, 2021, 02:06:22 PM
But actually, the question is, can he guarantee a win if he increases his popularity?

If ever he wins against Spence Jr, it will just be the common and usual win and no bearing about his chance on his political run for President.

Lots of people support him, no doubt about that. But in the presidency, that was the question. For me, he should just stay with the Senate. His promise of no-squatters (this is not possible but maybe reduced) if ever he will become a President can also be started while he's in the Senate.

It's not that Pacquiao is seen as a newbie in Presidency but he should take that post later on once he's now focused on the politics after retirement.

"The reigning and defending WBA Super Welterweight title of the World. From Sarangani Province Philippines. President Mannyyyyyy Pacquiaooooooo" lol

PBA eyeing to continue season in Batangas as NCR shifts to ECQ

It's possible that the league might be delayed again due to the upcoming Enhanced Community Quarantine restrictions on Metro Manila from August 6-20. Under ECQ, sports venues aren't allowed to open and sports activities are halted.

According to the news posted above, Chief Marcial already asks permission from the Department of Health to continue the operation instead outside Manila, preferably on Batangas where currently in GCQ. Still a week before the actual implementation so I hope the league will continue. Almost 2 weeks of temporary halt, if ever will extend the current conference and the next conference might be in jeopardy.
3404  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cryptocurrencies price and their effect on gambling industry on: July 30, 2021, 12:52:53 PM

We have no way to know if gambling operators also play with the market during its peak. That's right they have lots on their reserve so possibly they actually selling some of it just to take advantage of the uptrend.

It's a small chance that they will share it here so hoping they will give at least of glimpse of what they are doing on some of their reserves during or whenever on the bullish trend even that is a private thing. Smiley
3405  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Exposed to children on: July 30, 2021, 12:14:53 PM
Yes, that's right, that's why the main task of parents in the modern world is not to hide the child from the world around him, but to teach him how to interact with it correctly.

Exactly. There's no chance not to encounter those gambling videos since after all, these streamers and popular.

But for let's say even they are not, young guys will still saw it by any chance. Internet is so wide and everyone has an access to it nowadays. The power of social media is high and it's easy to circulate those videos via sharing.

Limiting these children will just lead to confusion and possibly out of curiosity, they will seek an attempt to enter gambling secretly. Educate them instead.
3406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season Champion: Milwaukee Bucks on: July 30, 2021, 11:43:11 AM
No more talented young players for the Lakers, they are desperate to win a championship again and I think the starting 5 is enough to win again.
They can easily acquire players with the skills like Kuzma and KCP, they just need to focus on building a good chemistry with the new addition.

I don't see acquiring Westbrook as the Lakers are desperate to win the championship. Maybe because of the timing. Prior to that, the closest possible deal was between Spurs and Kings. I think that was started when the Wizards openly discussed the possibility of trading Westbrook this off-season and Westbrook reportedly moving home to Los Angeles.

Kuzma is still young but since he's not effective in the Lakers system, it's good to consider trading him while he's still valuable. Last season, James and AD were sidelined for over a month but never seen this young guy stepping up. He admits before that he's the number 3 in the Lakers but never proved it. However, what's the good thing about this guy is when exploded, he has a good stat line. He's a good addition to the Wizards.

Lots of young players left in the Lakers although I'm not sure if they will also be placed in the trading blocks especially Andre Drummond and Dennis Schroder.
3407  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motivated by "breaking the code" on: July 30, 2021, 11:24:12 AM
I personally do not play slots, but do you think that is why people like slot machines? Short of breaking their code?

Not really a sort of these guys are trying to break a code but in every gambling, there's a thing in our mind that we want to win big. Slots machines offer a good winning so people like to test their chance and luck. Been there on that experience so I understand the feeling.

While in the process of chasing the big win, people become aggressive everytime they lose and that's where the challenge of defeating the machine starts.

And the next thing to happen is...
3408  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ethics of boxing and gambling on: July 30, 2021, 11:10:25 AM
Anyway, I think there's a weaver about it if someone wants to participate on this bloody sports then they have to be ready and accept the consequences and I think that's the risk of it. Meaning high risk equals high rewards.

Obviously, people participating in that sports already know the risks.

Money and fame are waiting for them that's why those risks are not really being considered since their focus is to maintain winning as possible. Not just within boxing but the possibility of becoming an ambassador or sports sponsor has a chance while on progress.

Others succeed, others failed, and that's the reality of this sport.
3409  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker casino but need KYC, is this really necessary? on: July 30, 2021, 07:36:00 AM
What do you think about this issue? Do you want to do KYC just for gambling on any platform?

I'd rather comply with KYC on crypto exchanges rather than on a crypto gambling platform. That shouldn't be the environment in the crypto-gambling world.

But there are considerations such as if I hit a big winning amount that I can't imagine to win then the site told me to comply with KYC before they will release it, I will undergo KYC or something along those lines.

I won't post information about that platform, because I don't want to be told that I'm promoting them  Cheesy

Simply, if you don't like their KYC policy, find another site.

If you really need to play on that site, for personal reasons or so, then no choice but to comply with it to avoid any problems in the future.
3410  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Exposed to children on: July 30, 2021, 07:08:25 AM
I know it's ok to gamble for having fun and socially but I don't think young people should be exposed to this when they're in school.
Most of them will only imagine "What 'IF' i win 1000x of this amount and i'll be able to do this and that"

Tell us what are the ways to avoid Youtube nowadays - the most effective one. None, right? Unless you are in a country that's prohibiting that website or living on a North Korean internet policy, that might be possible as viewers will face a legal sanction.

Regardless of the situation, you can't expect that young fellas won't be able to encounter anything about gambling even they don't have an access to Youtube. That's the reality and you can't change it.

If you are concern about young ones in your family and friend, then educate them. While outside, just hope that those young people don't like to do gambling, that's it.
3411  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: July 30, 2021, 06:05:36 AM
Maybe this is sign that the competitiveness of the team isn't that high anymore that players themselves are feeling a bit of bored and lack of spirit and morale too.

Although it's a rare case, maybe Rain Or Shine is just having their worst off-night performance that day, or might be Alaska is doing great dominating the offense and defense that's why they are able to dictate the game.

I don't see a bit of "they are bored" since prior to that game, they are on 3 games winning streak.

Should not happened again in their next game against TNT Katropa. 1 hour to go before the tip-off.
3412  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tokyo 2020 Men's Olympics Basketball Tournament on: July 30, 2021, 05:49:14 AM
The USA now is not anymore a dream team, they are not composed of the best players in the NBA so other national teams has a big chance of beating them. They lose against France and we know France is not even the top favorite to win, so will see with their upcoming games.

They are still composed of the best players in the NBA. That's the issue as always as because it's "TEAM USA" they are expected to always win.

It's not with the USA itself but other countries are improving. Can we just give credit to those countries that beat the USA (2 in the exhibition, 1 in the preliminary) instead of saying the current US team is not the same as before why they lose? That was discrediting the effort of other countries.

Still mad at them since we can't see Lebron Angry

Mate, you have to understand that he's graduate from that although he can still play. At 36 years of age, he's now more of keeping his body to stay healthy to keep up with the NBA regular season. I understand they should play for the country and it's a call of duty but the NBA has a wide variety of players that are always ready to play for them.

I'd rather see players in their prime rather than hire the service of a post-prime player and now reaching the veteran level.
3413  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Long Term Investment Suggestion on: July 30, 2021, 05:20:20 AM
As per the current market situation, many good coins are falling due to dot, cake and many other reasons. I would suggest buy cake, sol, and such coins for at least 5k amount, and soon those coins will return high profit margin

If that's your suggestion then so be it. I like the positivity but don't expect too much as it might give you stress. Just try to balance and consider adding other coins for diversification purposes.

That's the reason why I don't like to mention some coins on my portfolio since I like everyone to research based on what they looked at in the market.

Just because we saw others getting profit on their list, it doesn't mean we will have the same result.
3414  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance squeezes users on verification on: July 30, 2021, 03:46:19 AM

Come to think of this. Are those big traders on Binance are not KYC verified? They are playing with big money and might be funding their accounts thru bank accounts (which requires KYC) so I don't think their accounts are just on the Basic Account tier so surely they are not affected at this new implementation of lowering the maximum amount to withdraw by Basic Accounts.

And besides, for small to mid traders, the daily withdrawal is still decent as it is. They can come back the other day for another round of withdrawals if they exceed their limits on which I doubt they really reach their limit every day. Still, way better compared to exchanges that require KYC for any amount. I don't see any reason why that should be a reason for Binance users to be declined.

I didn't get any emails like the above user. And I am wondering what happens to Unverified accounts, will they also get the 0.06BTC or do they need to upgrade to Basic to get the 0.06 BTC?

Unverified accounts = Basic Accounts

The next tier is Intermediate wherein documents are needed. If approved, up to BTC100 limit per day.

And the best thing here is, it just takes few minutes (1-2 minutes) to be approved and will not take several days. Maybe it's automatically approved once the documents were clear.

Saka 10 years ang validity nyan kaya di hassle. On-going na rin ngayon ang voters registration. Sa ibang LGU at barangay naman, may National ID registration na rin.
3416  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Combination of gambling and trading on: July 30, 2021, 02:37:57 AM
It is advisable that you, do these activities at the same time each day to help you develop a routine or pattern and to get your brain prepared.

OP puts himself right away in a time-consuming activity while also doing other chores at the same time and that leads him to an endless lack of sleep at night.

Because of that, his brain is tired to cooperate with things that he really wants to do. And a result, OP is struggling how to manage properly his time to gambling and trading making it difficult to win every time.

It's not necessary to do those at the same time if handling them both is currently a problem. OP needs to do it slowly by surely. By proper time managing, OP can overcome that soon.
3417  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: trading needs consistent attention and full concentration on: July 30, 2021, 01:47:15 AM
i have  noticed alot of new and upcoming trader gets carried away easily with little profits or loss. this makes many to quit or feel complascent. becoming a good trader is like going to a school, you do all necessary things consistently without any distraction untill you succeed.

It's ok. being carried away easily during the first phase of learning is part of the process.

They are newbies after all so what do you expect from them? Already enhanced and improved? What matters there is, they are learning and understand right away that trading isn't a kid's game.

Just let them do their own work. As long as they are serious and focus on doing trades, they will surely learn while in progress.
3418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coca-Cola gets into NFTs for charity on: July 30, 2021, 01:33:28 AM

A good initiative that Coca-Cola plans to established some NFT's for charity purposes.

With that goal, I'm sure many will cooperate. I'm not just sure for hardcore Coca-Cola stuff collectors if NFT will bring them excitement. They want hard and physical stuff to collect instead of untouchable NFT. But at least, I know some of them will still want to have a piece of this NFT because it's a limited edition.

Hoping they will make good sales out of selling their own NFT's.
3419  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season Champion: Milwaukee Bucks on: July 30, 2021, 01:19:55 AM
Yes the Lakers got a reliable and a talented triple-double guy in Westbrook but lets not forget the contributions that Trez KCP and Kuz to the Lakers team. Trez and KCP are a good defenders and Kuz is a good role player at least.

The problem with those guys is "consistently inconsistent" lol. It's way better for me to ship those as I don't know on what part they contribute big out from their inconsistency. If Lebron James and Anthony Davis aren't present, no one from that 3 is stepping up or just in a few situations.

If the deal will be finalized and Lakers got Westbrook, they won the deal. Westbrook can carry a team consistently. Lakers are surely in good hands whenever Bron or AD, in case, sidelined or not present.

On the other hand, Harrel, KCP, and Kuzma will be a good addition to the Wizards. They lack supporting roles so they have also won the deal.
3420  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If not invested then do it now... on: July 28, 2021, 11:28:47 PM

We can't just simply say to those people that they need to invest in Bitcoin. We can't please them and everyone has a different point of view regarding crypto investment. Even crypto is surely has a bright future ahead, it's not easy for them to idle their money for long waiting for the right time. Most people who try to make business and investments are trying to make a profit on a regular basis. I doubt some of them will hold for long.

Whenever someone asked me if they should try to invest in crypto, I'm not responding to them the advantage of it but rather the risk associated with it. In that way, they won't expect something good result right away and that will make them do some self-research if investing in crypto is good or not.
