3401  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: BCH/BitcoinCash greater than BTC? on: August 02, 2017, 12:52:19 PM
3402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is BCH surpass BTC? on: August 02, 2017, 11:00:49 AM
Only time can tell. We will see which will be a better adoption for scaling problems, bigger blocks or segwit. If it is maintained well, it may endure the first few years of hardship and may get loyal users. If not, it will just die just like other alts out there.
3403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time to buy or still wait? on: August 02, 2017, 08:06:23 AM
now that everything is clear, i guess it is the right time to buy. but i will suggest to go only for the top coins to lessen the risk of loss. some coins already started going up when the hard fork was over. it might continue the trend, so now is a buy time.
3404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin Cash Fork has Officially happened on: August 02, 2017, 12:28:34 AM
now we wait. there is not much support from exchanges and maybe a few from miners but it can endure the first few months and let us see if it gains support over time.
3405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is BTC cash an altcoin? on: August 01, 2017, 09:20:11 PM
When it was just segwit that is being proposed, some people are claiming that it will make bitcoin an altcoin. Now that bcc have split it, it is also being claimed as an altcoin. I think both of them would make bitcoin an altcoin because it deviates from the original but a needed change for bitcoin to move forward. Whichever gets the most support would make it the main and the other the alt.
3406  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do I need to worry about my bitcoin holding after August 1st? on: July 31, 2017, 09:10:37 PM
It is just a few hours more, keep your bitcoin safe and transfer your bitcoin on a safe wallet. Better safe than sorry.

I had some on Yobit. received my bcc a few hours ago. i believe yobit will support btc and bcc.

Did you have it already? It did not split yet, it is still 31. Or did you bought BCC in anticipation? If you did, good luck, I hope people don't dumped on your bcc.
3407  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase won't be supporting Bitcoin Cash on: July 31, 2017, 06:09:41 AM
a valid move i guess. since there is no evident support for bitcoin cash, it is just right not to make them available or risk bcc holders dumping on their exchange in exchange for bitcoin. it is a big loss to them. but if bcc tanks, will they give their clients their due bcc if they decide to make it available in their exchange? i hope so.
3408  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin DOOMED to have high transaction fees on: July 30, 2017, 11:51:23 PM
though this is a non issue anymore, others are right that this issue could reoccur.  the one behind tbe spam transaction can go and spam the network again. hopefully segwit would be enough to counter those attacks so the fees will not rise again. though the miners benefit from those attacks, i do not think they are behind it.
3409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Bitcoin Cash overcome the original Bitcoin? on: July 29, 2017, 01:42:23 PM
bitcoin cash is an altcoin to me, and it will never over come bitcoin in anyway. it might even die due to lack of support. all this talks about bitcoin cash are all fud.
3410  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Need advice: Should I sell all my altcoins due to BCC and BTC issue? on: July 28, 2017, 09:06:06 AM
if you are sure that the cause of the price of altcoin dropping is because of btc, then instead of selling  at loss, you should buy more. bitcoin will recover and so are your altcoins. but if what you have are shitcoins, then you are loss at the very beginning.

3412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEWYORKCOIN LOGO POLL on: July 27, 2017, 08:03:14 AM
original logo is still the best. the others are just plain crap, in my opinion.
3413  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So much bad news. When will it end ? on: July 27, 2017, 07:33:43 AM
This is nothing new. it is a cycle. there will always be a series of bad and good news for bitcoin. How will you use this news to your advantage should be your concern. you can cry all day because of negative news or you can open a good position on it.
3414  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to make money in cryptocurrencies? on: July 27, 2017, 01:07:07 AM
3 weeks is a very short span of time, you do not expect to make 10x of your initial money unless you are an expert day trader. You need capital, experience and time to be a profitable trader, which I think you do not have. instead of targeting short, instant profit, why not go for long term investments. invest in bitcoin and education. learn how to be a good trader and someday 10x will be an easy target.
3415  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which wallet can keep both kinds of Bitcoin before and after 1st Aug? on: July 26, 2017, 10:41:01 PM
I don't know why we need to even worry about such thing, cause of the price is going to be the same for both kinds.

Because we need to protect our bitcoin, not all online wallets or exchanges gives their user access to their private keys or give a choice in which coin to use. Whatever happens on August 1, it is always better to be safe. if your wallet does not let you have your private keys, then you should move your coins to any wallet that lets you control your bitcoin. this is just to be safe, it does not mean there will be a split.

3417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Buy new altcoins in ICO stage = profit? on: July 26, 2017, 08:52:15 PM
Title.

Basically is this how its done to receive a profit on Cryptocurrency?

or just invest when research and news is done.

Thank you

It is not always like that. In my opinion, it is riskier entering ICO's than when it is already in the market though the profit could be much larger if the ICO pans out. There is always the risk that the ICO is a scam,  the project will not push through or the devs dumping on you when it hits the market leaving you the bag holder.
3418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which altcoin are you holding for Aug 1 on: July 26, 2017, 04:47:19 PM
I am holding xem and bash. I do not think there is a need to convert to alt or fiat anymore because there is no more threat on that day but if ever things changes, I will convert some to xem and some I will keep. My bitcoins are safely kept anyway, so the only thing I am protecting if I convert to alt or fiat is the monetary value. If bitcoin price falls, I just have to hold on my bitcoins.
3419  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: July 26, 2017, 02:47:14 PM
No solid news but there is solid evidence. Derrick Rose signing with the Cleveland Cavaliers is pretty much telling us that they are preparing fro the worst. And the shocking part is Derrick Rose accepting a 2.1 million dollar deal is the biggest bargain you could ever get. The question is will Derrick Rose be a good replacement for Kyrie Irving and will they be a better team? Maybe because it depends on what they will receive from trading away Kyrie I just hope it will be enough to win a championship.

I do not think DRose is intended to be a starting point guard. With his status right now, he is just a substitute pg. I think the cavs are imploding but let us see what will be the development now that they have a proper GM. If they do not make a good trade in exchange for Kyrie, I do not think they will have a chance for a championship even if they have the king on their side.
3420  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why the transaction price of bitcoin so high? on: July 26, 2017, 11:33:21 AM
This just shows that there are still a lot of bitcoin users who do not know how miners fee works and how it is computed and adjusted according to mempool. I think there is already tons of threads here discussing that so i will not explain it here anymore. But i advice op to at least learn the basics of bitcoin so he won't be surprised about this things.
