3401  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My 5 months newbie experience on: January 11, 2022, 10:13:34 AM
My 5 months experience in newbie is so horrible, it was not encouraging at all but with patience and hard-working I begin to feel comfort. With the moral of our senior colleagues telling us that seeing us with more than 1,000 merit all started as newbie,  with the courage I began to start working hard until the day I  got my first merit. Which is super excited.
Look on the bright side and don't whoop yourself much. It's a process and everyone doesn't need to begin at the same time. You ever heard of the proverbial, "whenever a man wakes from his slumber is his morning"? Don't measure or judge your achievements by OP's achievement. However, you've to slow down on populating your post history with bounty reports. Even if you want to be in bounties, you should find bounties that make use of Google report sheets. That way, your reports are taken off the forum posts. That makes your profile a bit neat and pleasant to look at.
3402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: meta is the future ???? on: January 11, 2022, 07:53:05 AM
There are a lot whose speaking of it but only riding they hype and not really knowing the idea behind it.
That's because people want quick fixes to wealth and don't really care about the process. Come to think of it, anyway, it's hype that drives projects to get traction and price increase but utility that sustains that hype. Any projects with hype but no utility will expectedly crash after a short while.

Quote
So those projects that are in the metaverse will likely dominate the market in few months.
So, those who've already keyed in and are hodling certain metaverse tokens should be in celebratory mood then😏. Do you mind listing specific ones you've in mind?
3403  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Sell a little bitcoin now to get into alts when it all drops soon? on: January 10, 2022, 07:31:16 PM
Well, it's "the logical thing to do" if you've got yourself equipped for the trading task. It's not just enough to trigger a trade but doing it at the right low for buy will enable one maximize profit. I know of people who sold off their Bitcoin to buy certain alts and those alts turned shitcoins and it was cash gone down the drain. If OP feels Bitcoin is going to dip and they're looking for a safe Haven for their investment but don't have trading set skills, I would advise that it's better tethering it rather than trading and expectedly losing it.
3404  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to Get Rich with Bitcoin on: January 10, 2022, 05:44:32 PM
I thought this was written by a newbie but checked again to find a Legendary member doing this. A higher rank is supposed to set an example for the lower ranks to follow.
I was shocked too but then I had another thought that OP was merely trying to catch cruise. Again, it's misleading for anyone to even think that Bitcoin is a shortcut to riches. If it happens, it happens. But it shouldn't be the sole aim of anyone buying it. Wealth takes time to nourish and grow.

There are some good faucets and I have made decent money using the trusted ones. Completing offers, clicking ads, etc. It is small earning at first, but can grow over time.

Free crypto is still free crypto! First Bitcoin Faucets gave out whole Bitcoins and it wasn't worth much then.
I will like for you to put out the link to this supposedly good faucets here. I'm one of those who believe that faucets are a complete waste of time and data.
3405  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade-in between the lines on: January 10, 2022, 03:58:19 PM
if you can flow with the wave of the market one can still make good profits
That's the kernel of the whole essence of trading. Know this and know peace. However, identifying the wave of the market doesn't come easy. In most cases, it's even elusive. A lot of traders trade against the wave; and doing that is like swimming against the tide. Whenever this happens, the trader of course becomes the loser.

That's already a given, knowing that every time we take a risk, we won't see the part where we would be successful, whether it's a long position or a short one.
That's a major thing that makes crypto trading highly speculative. Traders get wiser on hindsight and not on foresight.
3406  Other / Meta / Re: Ban request for user: franky1 on: January 10, 2022, 01:11:26 PM
He might be wrong, his opinions might be loud and in-your-face, but the only thing I'd support is people shunning him if they don't like what he has to say.

The best way to do that is to use the ignore button.  That way we can preserve freedom of speech and at the same time you don't have to see posts you know you're not going to want to see.
This is exactly my stance too. We don't have to look at others with disdain because they hold a contrary opinion to ours. What if later ours was found to be wrong and theirs right? What happens then? I believe some of us here might've read about the reaction of the world when the first set of Greek philosophers said the world was spherical. The popular belief then was that the world wasnt. At the end, we know the right thing now. The best anyone can do if they don't like the sound of his opinion is to use the ignore button. That's one of the reasons it's there.

I think the call for a ban for franky1 is an overkill.
3407  Economy / Reputation / Re: Hhampuz- time to dig a little deeper into this garbage man on: January 10, 2022, 09:29:33 AM
when you look at the posting construction it's very obvious that op have existing account
But of course, that's very obvious and literarily visible to the blind. I won't even be surprised if it's discovered that the OP is in an existing campaign run by Hhampuz. Hypocrites everywhere. Whenever you see a supposedly noob account make such a thread just know it's an alt of a veteran member. Displeased people shouldn't hide behind any cloak to voice their displeasure. They should come out straight and stop "flying like a cockroach" in the words of Montana. If I were Hhampuz, I won't give the OP the pleasure they seek by responding to this thread.
3408  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin resistance and support price on: January 09, 2022, 06:30:01 PM
I see Op like expressing regret at the moment for not selling the little Satoshi he has in his wallet before the drop and that is giving concern...

My advise to anybody caught in this season of unprepared or expected drop is to see their hodling as long time investment and with that they won't bother themselves on price by constantly checking on their wallet.
Well, I'm imagining how OP will feel right now seeing that price is dipping more. It just touched a strong support at $40,464 yesterday and bounced off it in what looks like a retracement. Let's be hopeful that it will begin to recover from there. Otherwise, if it breaks that level and closes below it on the Daily candle, it may likely dip to the $30k region. Even when I've come to classify Bitcoin as a phoenix that it's, I still maintain and know that its dip can be heartbreaking. I hope OP understands this too and not get hypertensive whenever there's a Bitcoin dip.
3409  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It is possible to make a profit by trading on: January 09, 2022, 04:36:57 PM
If you have the skills and the discipline to trade you should be able to make profits, if
you only have 1 of the 2 there is a big chance of loss.
That basically covers the whole tutorial on, "how to be a successful trader" in my view. Your comment is merit worthy, sad I don't have any to splash on it now (I will have to revisit this though). The discipline aspect takes care of the killer emotions which every trader is exposed to. Without a grip on one's emotions, whatever trading skills one has is messed up during life trading.

And to the OP, yes people do make a living from trading. We've full time traders. I mean, traders who do nothing else to put good on the table apart from trading.
3410  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypterium has held my BTC hostage for almost a month with no end in sight. on: January 09, 2022, 04:05:03 PM
Binance was supposed to be big there but they pulled out everywhere 2 years ago or something right?
Binance is still fully operational for Africans. I believe Africa is a huge market for the exchange. In fact, it has lots of Nigerians on its platform doing P2P to the point that CZ Binance had to include Naira, the Nigeria local currency as an asset. I know @Fivestar4everMVP can attest to that.
3411  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [NEWBIE] What To Do To Avoid Red-Trust. on: January 09, 2022, 03:39:33 PM
I'm not sure where you're getting this idea from
Well, my bad then. I concluded based on the fact that a while ago I saw some users who had unrepaid loans running into several months after the requested duration. I didn't know it was still an active loan. I thought they defaulted. But it's ok now with your explanation.

18. Having multiple accounts and account sales are allowed, but account sales are discouraged.
A neutral tag is likely to be given to a bought account with reference feedback to the change in password or posting style. IMO a negative feedback or red tag may be given in cases where the new owner is suspected to have malicious intent.
There's a conflict of interest in the forum on account sales if we go by what @mrep said. If something is allowed, why is it discouraged then? It's a paradox. To the best of my perspicacity, account sales are deceitful. What it simply means is that someone is transfering not just ownership to another but reputation and trust. So, why would anyone want that if it's not to make others interacting with the said account think they still have the same owner and whatever reputation bestowed on that account. It's like a reputable bounty manager selling their account. Of course, unknowingly, hunters will still think it's the former owner on it, and then blindly trust the account. I think a bought account deserves a red trust, not a neutral.
3412  Economy / Speculation / Re: Elsavador President Predicting $100,000 Bitcoin price looks like another joke on: January 08, 2022, 02:54:39 PM
Why do people take the prediction seriously, where in the definition of prediction does it say that it has to be a fact? Pretty sure that it doesn't have that in the definition so I don't get why people are mad that it didn't reach that point which had been obvious that it won't when the bitcoin market was still red during Christmas.
The crypto industry is a highly speculative one and as such I don't see predictions as an out of place thing with it. Whether predictions come to pass or not, I still don't see anything wrong with it. The El Salvadorian president was orgasmic when he made that prediction. We should talk about him in the light that his country has given full support to Bitcoin and not about his prediction. If only several countries will join in that line of Bitcoin adoption we wouldn't be talking of what failed and what didn't now.

Quote
Hopefully, the people of El Salvador won't lose hope and hold on to the fact that bitcoin's going to go to 100k or even beyond that.
This is even the one that worries me most in all that. I frankly hope the citizens don't revert.
3413  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [NEWBIE] What To Do To Avoid Red-Trust. on: January 08, 2022, 01:51:42 PM
3. Borrow money don't run away
I don't know if that's still so much an issue as other offences when borrowers default on payments. I see DarkStar_ leaving them a neutral feedback this day and no longer red tags.

However, only people who have given negtrust can do it.
This is indeed a sad reality. Sometimes those who put the red trust are either no longer posting here or are simply dead and their actions can't be undone by someone else even when the case that warranted it is resolved. A case in point is the neg tag left on Best_Change by TMAN. The user (with several others too then) felt that there was a scam accusation on Best_Change. But several weeks later the campaign was discovered not to have any issues (in fact, it's running as one of the best till date) others withdrew their reservations except for TMAN who hasn't been active since March 12, 2020, barely two months after the user put that neg trust.
3414  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Price Enter the $30k Area? on: January 08, 2022, 12:00:20 PM
OP, that won't be impossible considering that a convincing break on the Daily close below where you marked the support is much likely to pull Bitcoin into a range that stretched between $30,718 and $41k. Your chart is similar to this picture I shared which was part of a post I made here sometime in September 2021. Specifically, it was made on September 22 (in case anyone wants to peruse that comment of mine on it. $30k is a strong support supposing it breaks through $40k. And if it breaks $30,000 convincingly then we are likely getting more dips.

3415  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin collapse or mature? on: January 08, 2022, 08:46:01 AM
I believe there is no such thing called crypto experts they are crypto FUDsters. Tongue
I like to refer to everyone in this space who makes a prediction or the other at best as Crypto Speculator. Crypto is highly a speculative industry. There are no experts. I get your point, however.

On Bitcoin, anyone who is thinking of a collapse happening to Bitcoin at a maturing stage like it's now doesn't truly know the tech. Bitcoin has come to stay. That's the simple message.
3416  Economy / Speculation / Re: What about 2022? on: January 08, 2022, 08:36:37 AM
What's your take on 2022? Will it be as profitable as 2021 or else we will witness correction phase?
Every year has its period of price correction. It's expected and that's quite understandable too, owing to the interplay of the forces of supply and demand. We saw that in the past and I don't think it will change this 2022. I expect that correction to come sooner than later. Perhaps, it will come this first quarters. However, that isn't to say it will be all gloomy for the crypto industry considering now that institutional players have come into the game. I think there won't be so much cash leaving the industry when the market goes down like what we saw in 2018 with a lot of investors taking profit and completely exiting the industry. Even as I type this I observe that the total market cap has dropped to around $2.1 trillion. A few months ago it almost hit $3 trillion.
3417  Economy / Speculation / Re: are we going to have "fear" months? on: January 08, 2022, 07:16:13 AM
one one hand we have Omicron and the mark that it is leaving on the world economy.
on the other hand we have the bitcoin price failing to stay above $50k and all the FUD that came after that.
Well, to tell you the truth, I'm not sure Omicron has even had half a devastating effect as what Coronavirus had on the economy in 2020. Nah! Not anywhere close. At least, the world has an idea how to tackle Omicron unlike when Coronavirus debuted.

do you think January and possibly February could be the Fearuary months?
I expect that Bitcoin will dip this first quarters of the year. My expectation has nothing to do with the Omicron spread. It's from historical data of what transpired in the first quarters of 2018. Yes, this should be a fear month.
3418  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Lies in the world on: January 07, 2022, 01:26:10 PM
Well, all I can say is that the page 'Terms & Condition and FAQs' must be viewed before making any decision. Mostly these sorts of things aren't mentioned clearly, which can be viewed in the above-stated pages. Also always try to make some research by searing the internet, reading relevant blogs and the expert's opinions before making any such decisions. Do not play blindly.
Hah! You need to see a T&C from a bank to realize how that sector has always been out to cheat customers deliberately. So many hidden deals that easily rope customers in without the customers knowing it until when a legal suit ensures and you, as a customer, get to find how helpless such a situation is for you. I encountered it myself a few years ago.

There are so many people in the world who lie a little later.  So they can't succeed in any task at any time.
The irrelevance of your response to the OP is highly conspicuous. It's nothing else than spamming.
3419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too much of new crypto projects? on: January 06, 2022, 09:32:06 PM
Its been a very long time that I've been using coinmarketcap.com/new to find new crypto projects that just get listed on the platform and I've come to notice that every two to three days coinmarketcap always list up to 30 new crypto projects, how insane is that? It shows that more than 100 crypto projects are released every week cos some landed on coingecko first before coinmarketcap, this to me is scary
Your observation is right. However, I think the more the merrier logic applies here. The major thing is just for investors to be meticulous in their picks. It's never a crime for one to DYOR before parting with one's hard earned money. When I came into this industry in 2017, there were around 750 cryptos on the market from data on CMC. But today, we know what the figure is like. I believe to a great extent that the preponderance of cryptos launching on the market is because of the absence of regulation in this industry. Maybe once there's regulation, the rush to push cryptos to the market won't be there any more.
