3421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful with crypto news (DEFI with Y)!! on: September 01, 2020, 10:16:20 PM
Currently, we are all concerned with an incredible escalation of (DEFI with Y) Angry the new cryptos of the future like (yearn.finance) several projects are currently in progress or in creation, But today I fear a huge scam that will happen because the prices suddenly explode so that doesn't even have an exchange or liquid just a pump going up and going down Sad
I don't know if you were following crypto in 2017 but this is kind of simillar to the Ether token trend back then when Ether started making headlines. we would have scam tokens like ethereum Dark, ethereum blue, EBTC, EBCH, Ethereum lite all spike in price but with no real project backing behind them. What happened later would teach a lot if newbies lessons back then never to throw money on random tokens anyhowly.

How can Uniswap accept this thing?
That's the cost of decentralization. there is literally no one in control of what gets listed there just like EtherDelta in the old days.
3422  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Loses to invest in Bitcoin, back to Bitcointalk on: September 01, 2020, 09:26:38 PM
I have registered for a Bitcointalk account for a long time, but because I don't understand it, I leave.

However, I still invest in Bitcoin. But it often fails. This is what made me return to my Bitcointalk account.
Here is my advice.
Always plan for the future. Don't look at the short game. Ask yourself, what happens when bounties stop being valuable or stop giving you enough decent money?

Knowledge is power, when you have knowledge, you can always continue earning even long way after the bounties have stopped being a source of incoming. You said you have often failed whenever you invested in BTC, I believe what you are trying to say is you have always failed at trading. Use those mistakes you made as a lesson and strive to learn and practice more trading. With time, you will be good at it and it will help you make some decent money in the long ran unlike bounties.
3423  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bittrex disabled my account on: September 01, 2020, 08:16:18 PM
It looks like they have been blocking so many people's accounts for a while now and their support is so shitty. Only support should be able to tell you how long you have to wait for your account to be reactivated but basing on the complaints, you would really be lucky if your account was reactivated

Check their official thread and see how many complaints are in there especially the last pages; https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=463202
3424  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: What are some trusted known web wallet on: September 01, 2020, 07:46:36 PM
I know about blockchain.com to be the non custodial web wallet, I can't remember if I had seen any other non custodial web wallet.
If blockchain.com is a noncustodial web wallet then why are we having so many complaints about user funds getting blocked and sometimes users are not able to access their assets due to failure to get login verification?

Some more wallet which you might be looking for that I know are
1. Guarda Wallet - https://guarda.com
2. Bitamp Wallet - https://www.bitamp.com

All claim to be open source. maybe you can check and read more about them
3425  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitmain.best SCAM Website Review on: September 01, 2020, 03:08:35 PM
Absolute scam. They just copied and pasted parts from Bitmain's official website.
One dead giveaway on this scam domains is the domain extension that's always weird and funny like "best" "xyz" probably because such extension are cheap for scammers
3426  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum wallet user Lost $16M in Bitcoin. on: September 01, 2020, 02:48:38 PM
Is Binance's CEO fudding on Electrum for some reason? Tongue
There's a possibility
As far as I know there is a one trust wallet that was acquired by binance. So yeah, he could be fudding but not in a direct way because he knows that if he does it directly. He would face a lot of backlash  Cheesy

I mean why else would be so concerned about the 1400 BTC. It's not like it's the highest amount that has ever been lost to hackers.
3427  Economy / Reputation / Re: What can I do to remove a neg tag? on: September 01, 2020, 02:21:50 PM
The feedback doesn't matter because the user in question is nowhere near DT as of now. It should be an issue once he's on DT. If he refuses to remove the feedback then other DT members would have to exclude him after their judgement of the feedback left by him. That's the best members can do to help you once ChiNgadOr gets to be part of DT but until then, there's nothing to worry about.

Here is his latest custom trust list from Loyce.club

Quote
Trust list for: ChiNgadOr (Trust: +1 / =0 / -0) (152 Merit earned) (Trust list) (BPIP) (created 2020-08-29_Sat_05.07h)

ChiNgadOr Trusts these users' judgement:
1. Hellmouth42 (Trust: +1 / =0 / -0) (325 Merit earned) (Trust list) (BPIP)

ChiNgadOr Distrusts these users' judgement:

1. rig4hodlers (Trust: +1 / =0 / -0) (39 Merit earned) (Trust list) (BPIP)
2. Hellmouth42 (Trust: +1 / =0 / -0) (325 Merit earned) (Trust list) (BPIP)

4. Little Mouse (Trust: +1 / =0 / -0) (310 Merit earned) (Trust list) (BPIP)

That's what I was wondering as well--and I swear I thought that user was inactive since I haven't seen any of his posts in a long time, but apparently not.  His last activity was yesterday, but the last post I could view on his profile was from April.  That could be because I have a lot of sections on ignore, but has ChiNdgadOr been posting on the forum lately?  He might not even see this thread.

He was also banned then unbanned at one point according to bpip.
3428  Economy / Services / Re: hourlyminer on: September 01, 2020, 09:39:51 AM
Yes, this is a guaranteed token
BTC
The BTC maybe guaranteed but I don't think anybody is going to risk their reputation to promote a project that has been recognized as a ponzi scheme, certainly not on bitcointalk. Here, any Ponzi scheme = Scam because no matter how much they promise to pay, they eventually collapse after losing the hype and fail to pay the late "investors"
3429  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Career Through Bitcointalk, Why Not? Newbie May Need To Know! on: September 01, 2020, 09:25:24 AM
but isn't it illegal to become a money lender? You should be at least licensed private money lender to do that (in most countries).
I mean if i have my crypto assets and decided to lend them out to bitcointalk members for an interest rate of 10% how will the Government from my country know that I am lending off my bitcoins?
How will they even know that I am from their Country if all they can see is just my bitcointalk nickname?
Why would they even bother if there is no fiat currency they control involved in the lending business?
3430  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: BTC Segwit Address Changed (Mycelium) on: September 01, 2020, 09:18:07 AM
I initially know that some wallets generates new addresses everytime the address receives funds, this process is done so the transaction history will not be easy to track.
Yep this is also possible with Mycelium wallet

We can also still use the same address even our wallet's btc segwit wallet is changed.

I just don't know if it is also the case on Mycelium wallet... Is it?
Yes, it applies to mycelium too. All the address associated with the HD wallet can still receive BTC at any time and the BTC can also be spent at any time so long as you have access to the wallet or seed phrase associated with the wallet.

3431  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Scamalert] btconline.cloud is a scam on: August 31, 2020, 11:50:57 PM
The more people learn that almost 99% of cloud mining websites are scams or ponzi schemes hiding behind cloud mining the better. The payments on the payout page are also fake because they are random transactions picked up from the blockchain.
3432  Economy / Economics / Re: 2020 Money is king Again Good news on: August 31, 2020, 11:35:27 PM
Only Thing what will matter is Money!!
You really know nothing much about basic needs, do you?
Until the last drop of water or the last bit of food is not available shall you realize that you can not eat or survive on your dollar bills.

Why do you think the world is currently on it knees right now? Is it because of the need for Money or Health well-being?
3433  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Are bitmex just trying to scam with their kyc policy? on: August 31, 2020, 10:53:12 PM
They have given people time. I don't think they have any ill intentions such as scamming. I am actually surprised that they didn't have any strict KYC procedures this long, yet they were one of the biggest crypto derivatives exchange.

Trying to prove that someone is not from a restricted country minus KYC is close to impossible for them.

By the way for your information, you can not do futures trading on Binance without first completing KYC verification. Bybit will soon follow suit especially now that they have started accepting fiat deposits on their platform.
3434  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Career Through Bitcointalk, Why Not? Newbie May Need To Know! on: August 31, 2020, 09:28:10 PM
it is true here you will find a lot of opportunities but not everyone here will be able to get a job. Almost all jobs here have been either taken by senior members or those who have a good trust score.

It is not easy for a newbie, Jr Member, and even a Member to get a simple job. The demand is high here but the trust level is very low.
The senior members you see today where once Newbies. Everybody starts from somewhere. What matter most is patience, be a good member of the community and always strive to learn more

OP, we also have users who offer escrow services and currency exchange services
3435  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: I Supply you daily BITCOIN, Ethereum, USTD for USD/RMB on: August 31, 2020, 08:52:24 PM
Daytrader27 is a scammer. Don't deal with this scammer. I already alerted bitcointalk people here

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5269418.0

So beware of that scammer. Otherwise u will loose your money.
Thanks for the Alert.
I notice there's no flag that was opened against the profile so i decided to create one. It could save newbies and guest visitors from getting scammed
Please support: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=2279

OP is USTD some new token I am not aware about or it was just some typo. Perhaps you meant USDT?

3436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: We as a community must boycott Coinmarketcap.com on: August 31, 2020, 08:31:12 PM
Been using coingecko for a while now. I stopped using coinmarketcap somewhere in 2018 and even removed all the bookmarks on all my browsers. What pissed me off was how they would list and highly rank scam exchanges based on the daily trading volume.
3437  Other / Meta / Re: Do I have a chance to recover my account? on: August 30, 2020, 03:51:49 PM
I don't think you have a chance. Once you have been permanently banned the very first time it means you have to simply move on. Any attempt to create a second account without getting your first account unbanned simply means you are evading ban which is another offense

How many accounts do you have? Malmoun is one of them, isn't it?
.
He has been having so many alts and most got banned. Check out this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5117400
Perhaps it needs revisiting just in case some alts have been missed out
3438  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [Localbitcoins] Additional verification no longer required for 6 countries. on: August 30, 2020, 02:11:29 PM
I have been using LBC than completely decentralized p2p platform because as an advertiser on LBC I feel comfortable while trading with verified accounts but for someone who don't want to reveal their personal details just for few conversion should use the alternative like localcryptos but some countries don't have any volume so they should go for paxful or LBC if they very unlucky.
I am pretty sure countries that were affected have had traders migrate to alternative platforms so the volumes could be pretty decent in the alternative platforms like Localcryptos as compared to Localbitcoins as of today.

I still don't understand why they had to introduce very strict verification procedures only to relax them for some countries. Maybe they have realized that the popularity is going down the drain as the exodus of traders continues.
3439  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Trustworthy Free-Crypto Sites on: August 30, 2020, 01:16:29 PM
If we take into account that someone can earn only $1 today, it would be only $30 per month - which is of course very little, but in some countries a lot of money. If the price of BTC goes up only x10, it would mean that the value has increased to a nice $300.
It's still not worth the trouble considering the resources one will have to put in there such as time, electricity and internet costs. I am pretty sure 1$ won't be enough to cover even the daily costs so the faucet hunter won't even be able to save his BTC worth $30 every month and have to wait for BTC price to go x10

5 years ago I waste 2-3 hours a day on faucets and thus earned my first BTC, and in 2 years that same BTC was worth x100 more - it's good that I kept it.
Wow, you were one of the lucky few. Faucets back then were so generous because not so many people would believe BTC would even get anywhere close to  $20K or even a half of it.
3440  Economy / Lending / Re: I need loan 0.18 btc on: August 28, 2020, 09:04:26 PM
...I am a legit borrower and then i will give it to you my government id's for
verification...
I think I have this kind of promise before. Not so many days back  Grin

Imagine someone just wakes up one day, creates and account on Bitcointalk, and then they think they will just get to the lending board, request for a loan which will be granted to them with no collateral or questions asked. I may also be stupid, but some people are beyond stupid.
