3421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | Super secure hashing | CPU mining on: December 01, 2013, 04:18:29 AM
Quark is no longer listed: http://coinmarketcap.com/

Probably because they couldn't update the coin.

Can't blame them... QRK is seriously mismanaged... I am working on a block explorer as we speak,
you can't expect a coin to succeed like that... and now with bill still and max keiser talking about it,
we should feel ashamed that the coin's environment is in this bad co(i)ndition.
3422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | Super secure hashing | CPU mining on: December 01, 2013, 03:43:11 AM

What I find strange is that ALL three blockexplorers are down at the same time?
What is this the same server???

http://qrkblock.com/
http://176.221.46.81/chain/Quarkcoin
http://37.139.8.140/chain/Quarkcoin

Explanation please.
PS: I might create my own blockexplorer in the next days.

I own the domain qrkblock.com. I am swamped with my QRK bounty payouts right now don't really have time to set it up...
Could you please let me the IP address after you set up your explorer so that I can point my domain to it?

Thanks for your feedback. Ok, I will get back to you once my site is online.
3423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | Super secure hashing | CPU mining on: December 01, 2013, 03:41:21 AM
DEVS

We need a Silk Road for QuarkCoin!!!

Where can I buy dope with my newfound QuarkCoin wealth??!!

This is a major problem.

You still need dope now that you are wealthy?

lol

I would think one would need MORE drugs when they are healthy to deal with the pressures of keeping that wealth. :-)

Yeah, but that's the wrong way to do it: People like that live like gamblers and die like gamblers.

If I make it big, I would want to keep my new found freedom and not be a wageslave anymore for the rest of my life.
Drugs would make me do bad decisions, like they have before...
To keep your wealth you need to diversify and move the money around, keep it safe, invest it in your own business.
Let success be "the dope" in your life, and not any "substance", lol

I deposited QRK about two hours ago.  QRK is not giving me confirmations...so my transaction is stuck.  Interesting....

Anybody able to withdraw QRK from cryptsy?

I can withdraw BTC but i cant withdraw QRK.

I did so yesterday after two tries, they sure have some server problems at cryptsy.
Just keep on trying it, it will get thru eventually.

Also: don't forget you probably have to confirm every transaction by email.
(you probably already know that)
3426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | Super secure hashing | CPU mining on: December 01, 2013, 02:12:13 AM
QUARK currently has a market cap of 89.261.414$ (0.363662$/QRK).

When coinmarketcap updates later today, it will actually stay at #3 after BTC and LTC.

#4

you forgot peercoin at #3 with about 160 million $ market cap.

But we'll take peercoin out eventually. :-)

3427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | Super secure hashing | CPU mining on: December 01, 2013, 02:09:09 AM
day ago I speculated qk/$1 in a year OR five
Now $1 is fact
amazing lightspeed progress
no opposition
just amazing

$1 isn't a fact... yet...
And why the F isn't coinmarketcap working with QRK anymore? Stays on $ 0.058.

Because the QuarkCoin block explorer is down: http://176.221.46.81/chain/Quarkcoin -- cmc will be updated shortly.

Actual traded value as of now, 0.302383$/QRK

Guys, I'm trying to syncronize my wallet - it stucks every 500 blocks, and only 1 connection (though I added some nodes). Tried on 2 machines in different places - the same result Sad

Fuck.

PEOPLE KEEP YOUR WALLETS UP! WE'RE LOW ON BANDWIDTH. ALL NODES ARE CHOKED!! I'm too out of sync! I'm not getting any nodes!

Gotcha!  Shocked

No problem
3429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarketCap.com - Market Cap Rankings of All Cryptocurrencies! on: November 30, 2013, 02:24:44 PM
QRK price doesn't seem to be updating.  The link to http://www.cryptocoincharts.info/#jump-qrk-btc says 0.089, 0.09 USD, whereas coinmarketcap has been sitting at $0.058 for most of the day.

Exactly, it should be 5 times as high by now, putting QRK at 5th place. :-D
3430  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So Max Keiser want to have a Chat to Bill Still on his show - About Quark !! on: November 30, 2013, 03:12:10 AM
I am currently feeling very good about putting the little bitcoins I had into quark earlier this week. Already worth much more than I paid.

lol, me too.

I followed bill still for years now... and a cryptocurrency that gets publicity is a currency that will be successful.

Looking forward to z2

:-)
3431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can ASIC's be used to mine any coins other than Bitcoin? [ltc, wdc, etc.] on: November 27, 2013, 04:16:35 AM
Simple answer: bitcoin is "old" compared to altcoins.

That alone explains why difficulty is so low on many of them...

Bitcoin was two years here before any other altcoin appeared.

3432  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: confirm timesensitive transaction that was accidentally sent without fee? on: November 27, 2013, 01:22:20 AM
Brilliant, thanks to whoever helped me.

Who was it?
3433  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: confirm timesensitive transaction that was accidentally sent without fee? on: November 27, 2013, 12:50:00 AM
Transaction-ID in question is:
fa6f86cac9062ca262a5cf9c28824cb2284c8eeb28d0921f6a36f67dba27365a-000

Please can some miner get this transaction into the next block...
I know I forgot to add a fee, but I am willing to add the fee now:

0.01 BTC for whoever makes this transaction go thru in the next hour.

Thanks.

As is advised by this guy here --> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=232979.msg3642755#msg3642755
it would be great to have a webform where I can pay miners something to
make them process my accidentaly zero-fee transaction faster.

PS, as I am writing this, after 3 hours the first confirmation came in...
damn....

Still, to all the miners out there, this can be a real problem for timesensitive transactions when the
user somehow forgets to add the fee, and then his confirmations doesn't get thru in a reasonable timeframe.
It would be great to have a webform where users in the same situation can ...

1) type in their transacation,
2) pay the fee
3) miner confirms transaction
3434  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: FAQ: All About Unconfirmed 0 Confirmation Transaction Fee (READ before posting!) on: November 27, 2013, 12:41:43 AM
Another easier to implement option would be for one or more pools (HINT HINT HINT POOLS A WAY TO MAKE SOME EXTRA COINS HINT HINT HINT) to have a webform where you can supply a tx id and the pool will offer you a price (say 0.15 mBTC) to guaranteed inclusion in the next block the pool solves.  Give them the tx, send them the fee (as a new seperate tx) and BLAM your in the next block.  A "get our of limbo" card if you will.

In the interim using a 0.1 mBTC fee (or slightly higher) for ALL transactions (including high priority ones which "can" be free) is a good way to ensure you will be rapidly included in a block.  I have made about 80 tx in the last two days.  All but a few were included in the next block, the "slow" ones were included within three blocks.  Honestly it is a couple pennies and this is one instance of being penny wise and pound foolish.

lol, that's exactly what I am in need now, as I explain here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=348189.0

Can someone help me with this?

I am willing to pay as much as 0.01 BTC to get my transaction included in the next block.
3435  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / confirm timesensitive transaction that was accidentally sent without fee? on: November 27, 2013, 12:18:56 AM
What happens to me is that I sent a rather large payment to an adress that still appears as unconfirmed after two hours.

It is visible in the blockchain.info

Usually I have a fee of 0.0001 installed, but on this particular computer I just downloaded a fresh bitcoin qt, and the
fee setting was at ZERO. And it was my mistake to assume it wasn't.

Now, what can I do to get my transaction confirmed? It is a timesensitive matter for me.

I would absolutely pay to see this legitimate transaction get confirmed, can any miner here help me?

Does this become more and more of a problem in bitcoin? That more and more miners are simply not going to process transactions with no fee?
3436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XPM] [ANN] Primecoin Release - First Scientific Computing Cryptocurrency on: November 25, 2013, 05:41:41 PM

Well if we look at cloud-miner cex.io, they state in their FAQ, they only offer BTC mining (and merge mining NMC, DEV and IXC)

https://cex.io/faq

Since their whole businessmodel is based on GigaHashes I doubt they will implement PrimesPerSecond.

But why not ask them directly.

Price shooting up again !

Any special reason for this that I missed ?  Is 0.006 possible guys ?

Anything is possible in cryptocurrencies.

Welcome to the community and thanks for educating yourself... it sounds like you know what you are getting into.   Please feel free to let me know or the community if you have any questions at all.. Everyone around primecoin is very helpful.

Also, check out http://primecointalk.org for more specific details about XPM and PPC

Thank you, I will check it out.

also: today is a good day: made my first 10 XPM, on the 3000 pps machine after about 2,5 days.

It works! :-)

Does this still work with the newest namecoind version 3.72 ?
3440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XPM] [ANN] Primecoin Release - First Scientific Computing Cryptocurrency on: November 24, 2013, 07:06:25 PM
phew, so I finally made it.

It took me this whole weekend to read thru this whole thread (176+ pages), while I played with software and cpus.
It was very interesting and informative.

I was able to set up some computers (4 at the moment, 27 cores total) running with h11 and making about 10'000 pps at the moment.

24 hours going, no block found yet with solomining.

I will keep solomining for at least a week now before I make a judgment.

Overall I can already say that I like this coin very much.

I like namecoins a lot, so I love primecoins because they are MORE than just a coin.

Great job, mr sunny king!
