Calvin Abueva is still playing with the Phoenix Fuel Masters in the next 3 years.

https://www.spin.ph/basketball/pba/topex-robinson-on-calvin-abueva-new-three-year-contract-max-deal-with-phoenix-a793-20201224?ref=feed_1_section

Quote
With an added motivation in his new max deal with the Fuel Masters, more can be expected from ‘The Beast,’ who, as it was, hardly lost a step even after a 16-month layoff with the way he played in the Philippine Cup bubble.

Calvin Abueva get's a max deal for 3 years, it's impressive and no only us were impressed but the management as well.
Well deserved for him as he was really playing hard during the PBA bubble.
He deserve this contract. It is good that Phoenix fuel would take him on their team for at least 3 more years. And if Calvin contributes very well to them which will for surely gonna happen. They'll give him a possible extension but it will still depend on Calvin if there will be other offers for the team.
But for the mean time, he's locked on with the Fuel Masters and we're sure to see him again on the court. There will be no hindrances anymore unlike the bubble when he took time before he got in on that setup.

He deserve it. He contributed well from the bubble after his long rest away from the league. Now that he finally back and secured his paycheck.

Expect to see more action from him, just hope that he won't do the same problem way back, he should be more matured now and always anticipate possible sanctions.

In terms of playing, that max contract fits him as he always bringing  his best when he's inside
the court, looking forward for more improvement for the Fuel master this coming season.

He deserved it indeed. He is the King FuelMaster, not Matthew Wright.

Remember the time before the incident with Jones, Phoenix is on the top four always and they struggle when Calvin Abueva was metted with that 16-month suspension. That alone, we can conclude that he is a very important piece of the puzzle for the FuelMaster. If they can get a player in the draft that can compliment the style of play of Abueva, Wright and Perkins then Phoenix is one of the team to beat next season.

Is that a max contract already, that 15M 3-year deal? If the maximum wage of a PBA player is 500K Php then it is 18M for 3 years. Correct me if i am wrong.
3422  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Ryan Garcia vs Luke Campbell WBC Lightweight Interim Title (January 2) on: December 26, 2020, 12:46:49 AM
^^ Yeah, Ryan Garcia is as good as it's get in this weight division, that's why the punters and book makers are favoring him with that odd @1.3, still good specially if you are going to throw big money on this kid to get a big returns.

I'm might be looking for a knock out and exact rounds, still making my own analysis as it bring attractive odds and waiting for our boxing expects to chime more on the opinion about this fight.

Garcia is a fast starter, if he feels that he can knockout his opponent, he usually did it in the first 5 rounds. But obviously, if he can't get it, then maybe 5-7 rounds might be enough for him. Having check the odds per round though, but usually it is very attractive. But if you just wanted to stake on the ML, yes, usually wise gamblers or whales are going to put big money on it. That's why the odds have move down to @1.26-@1.28 as one posters have said.

Yeah I totally understand that that's why I will definitely go for a knockout bet and would probably spread it out as you have said Garcia is a fast starter, if he caught Campbell early its definitely an early night for him.

I'll probably stick to the mid rounds predictions, Campbell chin I would say is also good, so let's see if Garcia can crack it.

I'm also going for a knock out win for Ryan Garcia and if he can do so then personally i will placed him above Loma as the latter is having a difficult time beating Campbell, maybe because of the style and height advantage of Campbell over Lomachenco. Garcia and Campbell are of the same height, more or less so i think the former will be having a not so difficult time in disposing Campbell.

Your thought on this guys?
honestly I don't know about this kind but I'm watching in one of his highlights now.

100% from the Field! Dwight Ramos (Philippines) - Player of the Game | FIBA Asia Cup 2021 Qualifiers

he seems playing like a legit PBA player, I love to see this guy in the NBA, he has the height so I hope he can fit in the PBA.
At 6'5", that height would really dominate an opponent if he has the skills.

My first time to hear his name since I'm not actively following outside the PBA league.

There's no buzz around him as he is not coming from a showbiz family  Grin.

I don't think that this kid is NBA bound as there are a lot of competition on his size and height in the NBA but in the PBA he is a rare breed.

Even Coach Yeng believe that Dwight Ramos is PBA ready and i seldom noticed this coach praising a player, that's why i think that this kid is one of the future face in Philippine basketball as he can compete with other players on the backcourt internationally.
3424  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: December 23, 2020, 10:36:03 PM
Let me float the name Dwight Ramos in this thread as i think personally that he will soon become one of the face of the PBA. Though he did not file his draft application as of now but many PBA teams are interested in this kid. Standing at 6 foot 5, he is a 1 and 2 guard combo that we have not seen for a long time in the PBA.

Your thought on this guys?

With the match of Nets vs Warriors later. I've stumbled upon this article. KD admits that he's missing his past teammates and is now likely in good terms with Green.

After Warriors exit, Kevin Durant sounds like he's on decent terms with Draymond Green

Warriors will never be the same as before, when they're conquering most of the teams.

That would be a good thing for Kevin Durant to do, forgive and forget and move on as no matter what he would do now won't change the past. I remembered that scene very well and for me that is jus a burst of emotion for Draymond Green and part of the game, nothing personal.
It's part of their career as a professional inside the court.

There would always be misunderstanding and quarrels like this. But the past is past and we've heard it from KD that they've been ok and there's no bad emotions left for both of them.

As long as they're in good terms, that's the most important part that they had. We get to see KD play again later. Which team you're eyeing for this match?

I'm a fan of the Splash Bros TBH and Kevin Durant as well when he was playing for the Warriors  Smiley. Today's odds for the games between them is interesting as Klay Thompson won't play thus making the odds to bet for the Warriors @3.60 which for me is very attaractive and tempting considering that this is KD's first game and we don't know how we would jell with his team mates.

Bottom line, will bet for the underdog.

Welcome sa unang araw ng NBA 2021 season mga brader na mahilig sa basketball.

Brooklyn Nets 1.31
Golden State Warriors 3.60

Hindin ba kayo natatakan sa odds na yan considering na first game pa lang ito ni Kevin Durant at adjustment period pa ito para sa kanya so malaki ng chance na matalo sila sa larong ito. Your though guys.

Nah, don't want to bet early.
Something might change.  Grin

Are you expecting for much a slight increase in Clippers Moneyline?

I think there will be no adjustments as the odds were released before the Lakers confirmed that they will go into the full lineup on their opening night.

Now it leaves me to find the best odds for Clippers ML: https://www.bestodds.ai/odds/sport-basketball/usa-nba/los-angeles-lakers-vs-los-angeles-clippers
No. I am actually expecting more with the under moneyline.
i always thing that over 220 is just too much which is why I bet for under especially when it is both strong team that is trying ti win.
I understand the hype, but I don't underatned the number of players that suddenly change their mind,
It is the season and everything could be a test. A

I also think of the same, 220 over is too much in the regular games because teams, specially those who are title contenders will try to win and would put premium on their defense. There is a thread that is experimenting on that over/under category for pre-season games and when you look at the result, it is just a little above 50 percent win for over even when defense is no so emphasized on those games.

So my bet for today on the Lakers vs Clippers under 220@1.83.

Welcome everyone to the 2021 season of the NBA.

I think one of the most wanted see player in player is Andre Paras. He is likely to have a good career in PBA. I remembered while I watch how he plays and watch those mini highlights for him, I realize that Paras might be the one who the Philippines need in the Gilas in the future. For now, I think he needs to improve his offense nd defense and use of his height advantage. But Paras will definitely a global competetive just like Kai Sotto in NBA Draft Camp. Paras might be the son of  legendary basketball player but I think he is on the other way around making a name for himself and just like others wanted to have a different career path from his father. I am looking forward to see him in the next games of PBA and as well as in Gilas in the future.

I doubt this because the level of talent that Andre Paras have is not that high and he might not land on the top ten in the draft pick and i also got a feeling that he might be drafted because he is a Paras but might not see action in the PBA as the PBA team that drafted him might not offer him a contract.

I think you are talking about the other Paras which is Kobe as he is the one on the Gilas squad at the moment.
3431  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: [TUTORIAL] How to know the exact number of Characters in a post. on: December 21, 2020, 10:01:07 PM
Di naman bawal yan kabayan pero I don't found that necessary. I appreciate na nag-sshare ka ng knowledge mo and ituloy mo lang.

Bakit need pa natin i-take note kung ilang characters sa isang post? Just post on our usual kabayan and if my character limit sa campaign mo, napakadaling mag-comply sa ganyan basta naiintindihan mo iyong topic na nirereplyan mo.

Smiley

@OP, medyo ma-trabaho yang ginagawa mo, pwede mo nalang siguro bilangin manually at tantay mo na kung ilang rows and characters you want to achieve, hope you get what i mean.
3432  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Golovkin vs. Szeremeta IBF Middleweight Title on: December 21, 2020, 09:46:44 PM
If I were GGG, I would be hungry to fight. Due to a split loss to Canelo and his bunch of belts Cheesy To bad Canelo will avoid him.
Anyway, GGG fight against Szeremeta was more impressive and interesting to watch than Canelo vs Smith.

No i don't think so. It is the quality of the opponents that drove the outcome of it's fight. Though Szeremeta is undefeated but he is not as tough as Callum Smith. Even wonder why Szeremeta lasted until the seventh round.

But you are right, Canelo seems to be avoiding GGG because maybe the latter has his numbers and if they will have a trilogy Canelo already got the advantage because GGG is already going south in terms of performance due to age (at least for me).
3433  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: December 21, 2020, 09:28:38 PM
..so I don't know if he really play like his brother or he deserve to be drafted in the PBA.

Deserve is a big word. Everyone deserves to be drafted in the PBA as long as they are qualified. No need for Andre to be like Kobe if he really wants to enter the PBA draft.

In fairness, Andre Paras "might" be ahead in terms of performance to some players from BlackWater, Northport, and DYIP at around his age.

But honestly, that's not a big deal. It's like a usual player that wants to take part in the PBA draft. It's just being highlighted because Andre Paras came from a popular family in the local basketball world.

Lol, that is true and for sure he will be picked because he is a Paras  Smiley. Basketball in the Philippines these days don't just rely on talent for you to be up there in the PBA, you also got to have the connection unless your name is Junemar Fajardo.

I don't why Andre Paras is still pursuing his PBA career because i thought he earned more money facing the camera. He could have just give his slot to other players.
3434  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA preseason betting experiment on totals. on: December 21, 2020, 08:39:10 AM
Conclusion, this is a successful experiment for preseason only you will get 55.10% which will make you profitable as long as you know the right bankroll management. until next time, thank you.

Could have been more wins if there is a crowd i think, as the players are pumped and excited to show their talent in front of their fans especially the rookies.

I'll put this in mind and will use this strategy next season as this is stress-free approach in betting  Smiley.

Thanks for  this BTW.
3435  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]Canelo Alvarez vs Callum Smith Super Middleweight Title on: December 21, 2020, 08:20:24 AM
And the good thing is that Canelo allows Callum to survive until 12 round, Callum must be thankful for this.
I believe he didn't intentionally do that, it was Callum ability to survive the fight that made him to last in the entire rounds. If you have watched the fight, people are booing him because Callum was not engaging anymore in the later rounds, particularly in the last round, people wants to see action but in the mind of Callum, he just want to survive.

Agree with you, Callum has been hit with solid punches but he manage to survive and kodus to him for that. It's not easy when you are on the receiving end of those Canelo's punches. I thought that Callum won't last until the 12 rounds that's why i bet for a Canelo KO and lost but no regrets, that's gambling.

As a fan of boxing i want Canelo to fight GGG to seal the deal or somehow finish the business before GGG reaches 40 or is it ideal that GGG is already old while Canelo is still on it's peak?

Time to lock the thread now and as usual thanks for the lively discussions and congratulation to those who win.

3437  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing : Reymart Gaballo vs Emmanuel Rodriguez on December 19th on: December 20, 2020, 10:48:44 AM
I can't believe I won the bet, the announcers was all in favor of Rodriguez winning the fight and actually I am also convince because although Gaballo is the aggressor but he is not hitting clean shots, but it's been decided and I will not complain as I won my bet, I will consider this as an advance Christmas gift.

It may be a controversial decision but it is what it is lol. An early Christmas gift indeed but unfortunately for me i lost my other bet on the Canelo vs Smith fight. Do we expect a rematch here or Gaballo will fight Donaire next for this belt?

3438  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing : Reymart Gaballo vs Emmanuel Rodriguez on December 19th on: December 19, 2020, 10:21:53 PM
Odds quickly changing as the fight is approaching. The present odds makes Gaballo as the favorites to win the fight.

Gaballo 1.82
Rodriguez 1.95

This is an interesting odds movement, it's pretty much favors Gaballo here IMO.

Betting for Raymart Gaballo @1.82 now  Grin, it's fine with me just used a little boost and it will be up @ 1.90.

Who could have influenced the turn-around or shift of the odds? The users in this forum or the Vegas bettors? Just curious?

[..snip..]
ctto

An exaggerated illustration on Callum Smith's height advantage over Canelo  Grin. For sure Team Canelo would advise their guy to go in-fighting and not let Smith use his reach advantage.

@Baofeng, titiklop ba to?

Have not pull the trigger yet and have some doubts on whether Smith could withstand Canelo's body shot for 12 rounds or not. I might go for  KO win for Canelo.

Sorry for the late reply, I think it will test Canelo but I doubt that Smith will dealt Alvarez an upset here. Canelo will be too much for Callum and around the mid round he will fold to Canelo's superior body shot and might be KO in round 10. Yes, he has the reach advantage but Canelo will use his movement here, fients, that will confuse Smith and then Canelo with that perfect body shot.

Thanks for the tip buddy. After watching GGG KOed is opponent last night i think Canelo will try his his best to do the same.
Already put my bet and it's Canelo via KO, hope i would win in boxing this time  Grin.

@TimeTeller, at least this odds will give us an idea who is the favorites and the underdog here.
After seeing this, I think I will go for Reymart Gaballo to win this fight by KO, I'm expecting that the odds will be open a day before the fight.

Odds is already out on my favorite sportsbook and it's pretty much even. If you are a fan of either fighter, that betting odds is really attractive.

Personally, i'm betting here for Raymart Gaballo. This is his chance of showcasing his talent in the world stage and we could expect him to give his all.

Nice odds for Gaballo here mate, but do you know where you watch it live? I mean you have a streaming site to follow?

It would be nice if we will not anymore pay for the PPV if this one is on PPV.

I usually watched boxing matches on live streaming but they upload the link 24 hours before the fight so this means the we will be having that on the next 24 hours. Don't you worry as i will post it here once available.

Raymart Gaballo looks trimmed during the final fce-off, good sign for those who backed him up.
