DirectBet- I said if an established poster complained of being stiffed that I would be all over it. I don't care about a first time poster that refuses to give me what I ask for.

I don't know why you have a hard on for Anonibet. If a guy walks up to me on the street and asks where he should play soccer at with bitcoins, I'll tell him Anoninbet. I don't want him coming back to me in a month and say that I promoted a stiff book.

I won't mention Anonibet's name unless someone brings it up. I'm not trying to push them.

The next time that you start a business, you should make friends with competitors while you are new. Business 101. When you lie, bullshit and back stab, it comes back to bite you in the ass.

Guys - Please chime in even if it's just a letter so that we can move on. What rating would you give DirectBet using your own criteria?
C- or C for Directbet in my opinion. Too new, awful odds. Could find better odds at a C rated cash book anyday. Anonibet B- or B (cause you can trust them, otherwise they suck just as much as Directbet). Nitrogen B+. Should not be a single book an A because no book actually is good. All books do not have high limits or do not have good odds. You need both plus a trustworthy past to be a good book. Almost every BTC book has odds that literally would have my bookie customers stabbing me if I tried asking them for as much juice as anonibet, Directbet, Jetwin, and all the other scrub books ask for when betting. Anything below 1.91/1.91 pregame or 1.88/1.88 live should be shunned and not called a sportsbook imo. The 1.80/1.80 and sometimes as low as 1.70/1.70 offered by Directbet deserves a kick in where it hurts most for actually calling themselves a legitimate sportsbook, those odds are just simply an indirect scam.

And please don't say "wait til right before game for best odds" bullshit. Because lets face it, even then you barely offer 1.90/1.90 odds then except for NBA and probably NFL which everyone, even scambooks do.

Honestly, I could almost personally GUARANTEE that pregame odds tomorrow for all major US sports 5 minutes before start will be easily found beat by a different book. I personally guarantee a better line at casinobitco.in, nitrogen or webetcoins for every NHL, NBA, and MLB game, 5 minutes before start. Directbet? Who cares. They will never be the industry standard or leader. They will never be a bitbook or a 5dimes. Just a book filling the niche of degenerate gamblers needing 24/7 live betting while paying the worst juice in the industry.

You offer huge 8 BTC payout maximums? Ohhh thats great! When your house edges are 10%+ I could easily convince some investors to offer that much too. Just leave PeepsPlace alone, even if he is getting paid by Anonibet, they are a better book than Directbet. Unless you truly stop being greedy assholes and payout what the industry standards REALLY are, you will never be worth more than a C rating in my book and many others.
Thanks

The ratings were up BEFORE anyone talked with Anoninbet and Nitrogen.

That's exactly my point ! The ratings were reasonable at first, but then you changed the rules here so that technically, only Anonibet can be rated A, on top of all others.

That was AFTER Anonibet paid you. And then of course you rated them A, isolated on top of the list.

There have been several reports here during the past few days on Anonibet retroactively canceling bets, delaying withdrawals, limiting bet sizes and bet selections and various other negative feedback. Players are saying they will never bet there again, but their rating remains a firm A, on top of all other sportbooks.

You keep saying that the ratings here is "By the players for the players", but when it comes to Anonibet, you keep ignoring all the negative feedback on them, and there wasn't a single post here suggesting they are the best.

For these reasons, we are claiming that this ratings guide is no more than a disguised advertising vehicle for Anonibet.

I changed the ratings because Legion and others that supported the idea of grades being given too easily. The POSTERS initiated the changes. Anonibet had nothing to do with it. If that were the case then Anonibet, Cloudbet and Nitrogen would all be "A"s and everyone else below. The rules aren't tailored for books with banners up.

Coindraft has stated that their withdrawals are now automated and will processed within 1 hour.

Complaint about Coindraft
Quote
Tried Coindraft livechat 4 times now and still not paying up. Withdrew near to 3 BTC a week ago yet still not paying, I've been told "technical problems", "I get that sent" etc etc

Would be careful playing here especially with anything more then a couple of coins!

I play there and have made two withdrawals. Both under 2 BTC and were paid in approximately 24 hours after a lot of complaining.

Looks like DirectBet has taken us all off track.

If you guys have a question for a book, just ask here. If they don't reply, then I'll shoot them a PM to see if they would like to reply/

I really hate talking about Anonibet again and repeating this, but a poster vote was taken and Anonibet was number 1. Posters voted them #1 and they have been in existence longer than other books. I'm not sure how they can be moved down.

There are valid criticisms of Anonibet and those posts are appreciated. All books don't target the same market and have the same offerings. The World Cup is coming up. This would be the best time to compare books and limits.

DirectBet- Should the established bigger books come in here to refute the claims of a new start up book? I'm 100% sure that some of your allegations in this thread are false.
3431  Economy / Gambling / Re: Ratings and Reviews of all the bitcoin sports books. Poster input appreciated. on: April 30, 2014, 06:26:16 PM
Directbet - When players confirm a bet, why do you hold it so long before accepting or rejecting the bet? Are you waiting for the next line move? If the line moves in our favor, will you accept the change as CRIS/Bookmaker does with their live betting?

CRIS/Bookmaker protects the player by rejecting line moves in their favor. The same goes for every other book. If we make a bet with some of your other options is there a possibility of getting worse odds?

How many years have you been in business as a bookmaker? Have you also been on the other side of the counter? Did you write your own software or buy it?

DirectBet:

How much volume do you do compared to Anonibet? When you do their volume, you won''t be able to keep all your funds in a hot wallet.

I don't know. What is their betting volume ?

How many linesman do you have? Anonibet has multiple linesmen. How many employees do you have dedicated to fraud and risk management? Anonibet has multiple people. Anonibet has been in business for 3 years and you haven't even been in business 4 months. Which book has a better chance of being open one year from now?

If they need extra employees to process manual withdrawals, manage risk and set up lines, while we have invested in a state of the art proprietary software that does that automatically with 0 employees, do we need to get discredit for that ?

Other books that do it the same that you do go under. How are your lines set? Which book are you cloning and how much juice are you adding to their lines? If your profit margin is 2-3% then you are definitely doing something wrong since your theoretical hold is vastly higher.

I would like to point out that we have nothing against any other Bitcoin sportsbook here.

We are very ambitious and aim to be the best, and therefore we compare ourselves to the top rated Bitcoin sportsbook in this ratings list, whichever that book is.

We don't mind that others are rated A, and we are not asking to downgrade any book. What we are arguing is that if our betting service is as good or better than a book that is rated A then we should be rated A as well.

You've been in business less than 4 months. Bitbook, Blockbet and Bit365 were very good books at one point. All 3 went under.

Maximum grades:
A - 2 years
B - 1 year
C - 3 months
D - 1 month
F - reserved for books that are slow paying or stiffing players

Nitrogen - Any time frame on the exchange? I know many are looking forward to it.

We did a limited launch tonight with some of the NBA Playoff games. We got a lot of great feedback from our users, and are going to continue to tweak and add features over the next few days. Hopefully will be fully launched sometime next week. Most likely we will bump our thread at that time. You can get some more information on the 'Exchange Information' page under the 'Exchange' menu if anyone is curious about the details.
Thanks

DirectBet - Once again you are making untrue statements about lines that you have and those of other books. Would you like to take this argument to your Directbet thread and keep it out of here? I would appreciate if that could be done. I asked you to just talk about DirectBet but you continue to talk about other books. Other books abide by this request and have no desire to fight with a new start up book. Let the posters rip into Anonibet if they deem it justified.

We're still getting great daily feedback from the posters. Thanks again guys.

DirectBet - If you want to talk about your book, let's do it. If you want to talk about another book, leave that to us.

We're in a commercial break. Here's the odds on the total 183.5 Chi/Wash.

Over 1.56 (-156)
Under 1.83 (-120)

What do you think of this?

I'll edit and update this thread so as not to keep adding posts.

Mets total -227/+100
WSox total -156/-141
Tor total also -156/-141
Commercial break. Bulls total -370/+154
Yankees -270/+116

I think you get the point so I'll stop here.
3440  Economy / Gambling / Re: Ratings and Reviews of all the bitcoin sports books. Poster input appreciated. on: April 30, 2014, 12:21:01 AM
At the beginning, when this ratings thread started, there was a list of criteria that was used to determine the rating of each sportsbook. We were given a rating of B and Anonibet were the top rated sportsbook with a rating of A.

I went over the list of criteria, one by one, and proved that in each and every category we are as good or better than Anonibet. And so I asked Peeps why we are rated lower ?

Various ill-informed reasons were given, such as that we offer a smaller variety of bets, which I corrected.

If you'd like to read the full conversation, it starts here :

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=448302.msg6137493#msg6137493

A few hours later, Peeps changed the ratings criteria so that Anonibet can be the only book with a rating of A. Not surprisingly, they retained their rating of A and our rating was downgraded to C. Furthermore, the list of criteria used to determine ratings disappeared. Instead, Peeps listed all top Bitcoin sportbooks by sorting them in the order in which they were opened.

My question to you Peeps is, what is the reasoning by which you rated Anonibet higher than all other Bitcoin sportbooks ?

And I'd like to put this up here for a debate with other users. Lets have a discussion. Do you agree with Peeps, that Anonibet should be rated higher than all other Bitcoin sportbooks ?

Posters wanted stricter revisions. One poster mentioned that new books shouldn't be given high ratings. He makes a good point. The changes in the rating system hurt Nitrogen while it benefited Anonibet. In another thread votes were taken and Anonibet was #1. The only book in existence longer than 2 years is Anonibet, They have been in business for 3 years. I'm not sure what your obsession is with Anonibet.

The ratings aren't perfect and have to be tailored to markets, offerings, etc for each individual player. The reason for poster feedback is so that we can all read experiences of others and share information. Poster opinion will make changes in the ratings, not you or any other book. That said, I hope that the books will continue to post and answer questions.
