3421  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: BFL is shipping on: June 06, 2013, 07:51:05 PM
Don't forget the Avalon units, and the number of chips they have sold.

One Avalon equals a large room full of CPU riggs. Even a jally equal 2-3 riggs.

AFAIK, none of the Avalon chips have shipped to customers/OEM's yet.

 As a data-point, one official Avalon rig =~ 11 Jally's
3422  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: BFL is shipping on: June 06, 2013, 07:41:06 PM
12-May   11.03%   11,187,257
25-May   8.64%   12,153,412
05-Jun   28.41%   15,605,633

This is pretty amazing to take in. So I'm guessing this June 05 spike is caused from all the USB Erupters and Jaly's coming onto the network ? Is there something else that has come online, assuming ASICMiner is going to handle 25% of the blockchain solo ?
3423  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: JOHN K ESCROW SCAMMER on: June 06, 2013, 06:47:04 PM
SCAMMER JOHN K
<snip>

 *Raises eyebrow*

JohnK is probably one of the finest, upstanding members of the Bitcoin community.

Could it be that you were phished/scammed, and it has nothing to do with the real JohnK on these forums ?

The high packetloss is caused by backbone connectivity issues at Hetzner: http://www.hetzner-status.de/en.html

There is very high packet loss right now (network issue). I'm looking into it.
One of the things I like about this pool, is the owner (the Doc) showing up right away, telling us what is wrong and that he's on it. Wink
This is something I really missed at Slush's.

Speaking of Slush, I really miss that dude's graphs and stats... But I will agree, DrHaribo is really on-the-ball with the way he is managing his pool and communicating with us.

 Kudos, Doctor.

problems are back on bitminter, no connection to stratum.

Yep. I'm dead in the water as well on Bitminter Sad
3427  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Open letter to Theymos regarding Butterfly Labs (BFL) on: June 06, 2013, 02:33:04 PM
Nice try BadBear to turn the tables on me, when I actually have no censorship powers, unlike you. Mr. Global Moderator.

Just drop it already smoothie. It's obvious we would have an easier time asking Monsanto lobbyists to get out of politics than we would getting the forums administration here to do anything about community concerns.
3428  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) CLOSED AND COMPLETED! on: June 06, 2013, 05:46:48 AM
FWIW, all the ones I got from Arklan were Silver, and all the ones I got directly from friedcat were black.
my board says Rev 3.0 what does it say on the ones from friedcat

 Same stuff. Rev 3.00
3429  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL creates new charity project to donate 1000 BTC to [ROFL!] on: June 06, 2013, 04:50:38 AM
I wonder if they are bothering to use old coins, or they're just throwing the new ones they made into it......

This conspiracy was debunked a while back. Notice the spike is right in the middle of the continental United States.

Apparently, this is how the data is displayed from all aggregate unknown sources in the US. It is drawn in the middle of the country, which coincidentally just happens to be near our favorite Bitcoin related company.
3430  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL creates new charity project to donate 1000 BTC to [ROFL!] on: June 06, 2013, 04:47:17 AM
Would be nice to toss come coins to Breast, Colon, Lung, Liver, and other Cancer Research Organizations.

Every little bit helps.

A friend of mine is going through a second round of battle with Colon Cancer that metastasized in his lungs and liver. Had surgery a week and a half ago to remove three nodules from his lungs. He's going to start on chemo for 6 weeks to shrink the tumor in his liver down to a more operable size before they put him under the knife a third time to cut this batch out. Then resume chemo for a few more months.

Imagine that. Getting Colon Cancer mets in your lungs and liver.

Didn't know cancer worked that way. Blows my freaking mind and learn something new every day.

Cancer fucking sucks.
3431  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Probing BLF on: June 06, 2013, 04:33:05 AM
I don't see any problem here.

The British Lung Foundation is a fine and upstanding organization.
3432  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) CLOSED AND COMPLETED! on: June 06, 2013, 02:05:55 AM
For what it's worth as a data-point, of the 50+1 extra friedcat sent me, I had two defective units that necessitated a re-ship.

None of the 20 I ordered through Arklan had any trouble.

FWIW, all the ones I got from Arklan were Silver, and all the ones I got directly from friedcat were black.
3433  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL rewarding Jalapeno orders at the expense of LS/S/MR orders on: June 06, 2013, 01:24:08 AM
you might want to grab a refund and go buy a kncminer Saturn

175 Gh for $3800

What is community consensus on those ? Are they legit ? Have not followed the entire thread for lack of time Sad Very attractive @ $3.8k for 175GH/s if they can deliver.

3437  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs Forced "On Hold For Refund" for all my Single SC orders on: June 05, 2013, 02:26:26 AM
I suggest you simply stop posting Xian01...
Go dark.
Let them stew in what will eventually happen.

 Fair enough.

 Going dark. Locking thread.
3438  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs Forced "On Hold For Refund" for all my Single SC orders on: June 05, 2013, 02:14:39 AM
Because my council has informed me Butterfly Labs has broken the law.
I doubt that.
After you file, please feel free to tell us what law was broken.

(What is it with the newbie accounts posting in this thread ? My Lord...)

Without wanting to give too much away, I've already gone through a couple tangentially-similar commercial disputes with a couple entities that I've won. Their lawyers took a look at our complaints and advised their clients to capitulate.

I am hoping this case never sees the inside of a courtroom, but am preparing to go all the way if need-be.

I pray it doesn't go that far. For everyone involved Sad
3439  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs Forced "On Hold For Refund" for all my Single SC orders on: June 05, 2013, 01:56:23 AM
Agreed, that post was ridiculous and ignored or glossed over BFL's role in this this whole business association breakdown while casting the investor in the worst possible light.
But the OP wants to have his cake and eat it too.
OP wants his cake without having to deal with the contempt-of-customer displayed by the companies CEO *on these forums*, if you want to be accurate and truthful.

He can't admit any wrongdoing here. He thinks he had full license to go around trashing them. His "Apologies" always consist of more back-handed name calling and threats (that's not an apology).

I've admitted and apologized for losing my cool. Repeatedly. Please point me in the direction of back-handed name-calling and threats.

Hiring a lawyer to protect my investment is not a threat. It is a matter of practicality.

The OP has gone and manipulated his posting history to gloss over his role in baiting them into canceling his order. Think what you will of BFL, and their mishandling of orders/launch/PR, etc. But that's not what this thread is about. This thread is about the OP showing his ass, and getting it spanked, and then going around and manipulating things to make himself appear to be a victim more than an instigator.

From a certain point of view, I can see your point. From my point of view, I was taunted by the Chief Operating Officer of a company I did business with on these forums, and called him on his terrible behavior and contemptuous and inexcusable public behavior. He chose to punitively cancel my orders that I dared to stand up to his public ego or call him to account.

And for the love of god, quit calling him an "investor" he's not an investor, he's a customer (ex-customer now).

IMO, I was as much of an investor as the Venture Capitalists that invested in Butterfly Labs' ASIC endeavors 11 months ago, as are all June 2012 preorder customers.

A customer orders an existing product from a vendor who then ships it to said customer. That is not the arrangement BFL has with those that send them funds.

You are correct, and this speaks to the root of my case.
3440  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs Forced "On Hold For Refund" for all my Single SC orders on: June 05, 2013, 12:18:36 AM
But from what I understand, you are either considering or in the process of suing them for canceling your order?

I hope you can appreciate me not divulging specifics.
