Wow. I don't know what the odds were but for sure not over 10/1 or I'd have taken it before, but Rayo... are ahead.

Monday night drama if you guys aren't watching, Trejo took a VAR given penalty but Courtois saved to keep the score 2-2 (oh and their manager got sent off too, you know because they like that), but VAR recalled and saw he'd stepped off the line to save it. Retake, scored, and 3-2. All this after I missed first half of 4 goals.

Real are scary. 1 shot on target, 1 goal (1 was a pen). So they really don't need to create chances when playing like shit. Just create goals.

There are going to be more cards than goals in closing 20 minutes...

@Harkorede what the hell, my reverse jinx didn't work, and we meet the same guys, AGAIN?

But okay, I don't mind. We're a different team, they're a different team. Nunez will probably be happy, and maybe now we're so vulnerable they'll also take different risks with us?

Bookmakers are really weird though. Liverpool currently 2/1 favourites against Real (35/10)..??

Top runners in order: City (25/10), Bayern, PSG, Liverpool (10/1), Real (12/1), Napoli, Chelsea, Spurs(16/1), Benfica (25/1),Inter (33/1), BVB, Milan (50/1), everyone else 100/1 and up.

Feel free to join the lottery! We also sent a custom cold wallet to buwaytress, which he will raffle among the participants of this pool!

Thank you sponsors! Incidentally, I just received the package today, apparently it was received last week but care of, only got it today. It's a beautiful item, I haven't taken it out of the packaging of course. I'll arrange the raffle shortly, we do have a long way till the first matches resume in February, so let's keep ourselves busy with World Cup and I'll ping back all pool participants when the raffle is ready.

Silly Liverpool rumours, whaaat?
3425  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US Department of Justice announces historical BTC seizure (Silk Road related) on: November 07, 2022, 05:43:24 PM
Need to remind myself some countries use the full stop point not as a decimal but as a thousands separator haha.

Surprised I'd never heard of this particular story, for such a large amount of BTC (yes, it's a drop in the ocean but it's still a relatively crazy amount to hold for an individual).

Not so technical so I don't get it, was the loophole Silk Road's? They weren't processing from wallets but manually?

^ Think I last did a nice red card Betbuilder in Serie A, but yeah, I have to agree card markets probably provide great value, I'm just not really in the kind of mentality to look for those stats. Just feels different you know?

Final game of current Match week, can't believe I'm only sitting on 2.5 points ha! Don't forget to put in picks for matches that start in <48 hours for the new round!
3427  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2022/23 | Group Stage on: November 07, 2022, 03:49:29 PM
Interesting to see Liverpool's still second in ranking after group stage, when we weren't even seeded 2nd in the selections (and were unseeded for the Last 16). I imagined seeding had a lot to do with rankings other than results, as Group of Death would be really unlucky in that regard, whereas Napoli and Liverpool shared each other's loss, Ajax and Rangers, all due respect, weren't too difficult in the end.

New promo's up, and this isn't something I normally shout about since I'm hardly in a position to wager with the big dogs, but looking at the requirements, it actually seems more than doable for some of you Sportsbet gamblers (I'm not kidding as I know I've seen the bets shared by some of you). It's only sports too, and on 1.5 min odds. I'd probably do a strategy of betting crazy odds on small amounts and then if win that, go bigger.

Been very lucky myself to experience a bit of that Sportsbet VIP treatment, but here's your chance to try...

By the way, I have been married for a long time, 10 ++ years  Smiley
My position so far is very shaky, so I'm showing modesty  Roll Eyes In general, these pools really whet me so much so I try not to check the results every 5 minutes and not see how which result will affect my positions. One day I make a prediction and then wait for the round to be completed to check the results (yes, it can be difficult when the tour is extended over 3 days).

You know we're just laying into you, right? Nice to know always that forum guys are also regular like me. I'm only coming into my 10th next year, but it does feel very long (and actually will probably be expected to do something to keep me away from forum to celebrate that haha).

Anyway, wishing you luck, but not more than myself. Really nice to catch up a little on points with this final round, hope to get myself in the shout with the Last 16, I actually don't check them a lot myself, but Superbru dashboard is so easy to open up heh.

Hahaha man, here in my country (Argentina) when you salute a people/team before they reach the goal, its a kind of curse them  Cheesy

I think in football especially some taunts and jeers are universal haha. When I used to watch football, we'd also like be cheering and clapping when the opponent is trying to make an attack, and if they fail, they get a huge cheer.

That's actually preferable to the abusive taunts I think I heard way more often back then than these days.

3430  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: November 06, 2022, 06:52:29 PM
Phew, Spurs. Typical late rally. Every defensive player of ours save Robinson not at their best, Fabinho's been stuck in some hopeless run of poor games. But points are all that matter.

times are changing, and wishes with them, from title contender, now Liverpool is trying to reach CL, and it will be difficult with Arsenal, Tottenham, United, but also Newcastle (I would count out Chelsea from CL already)
Arsenal and Chelsea still without much fire, goalless

waiting for Newcastle, they are a good value @1.8, Southampton is playing same home/away, and bookies are valuing them more at home

Liverpool only know how to do badly in streaks under Klopp. Backing them all the way to do another 20/21 special though! You really think Chelski are out? They need Kante back, is all, and not another Sterling/Pulisic/Havertz etc silky pretender who wilts in Prem games.

Aye, Newcastle were almost 2/1 as the match was a Super Boost special. I didn't, instead placed Toons on my acca and hedged it with a Saints small bet over 5/1 with that boost. Even without Maximin and Bruno they were special. Almiron is enjoying the time of his life, they're just probably a bit too careless with possession in their own half.

I think we will have very busy time during World Cup. Hope to see all of you across all these competitions.

Dropped these awesome comps in Clubtalk and will do it every now and then too, I think I saw a couple of names already from there, I think it's really cool to get new blood in.

Moses, allow me to play along for a brief moment but my question to you is, how did your command of language regress? Your spelling, grammar... the years appear to have taken their toll. I ask not because I am on higher ground, English is not my mother tongue. I ask from a position of concern. Also, what is your take on Beetcoin?
3432  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sports and entertainment industries could play a big role in Bitcoin adoption. on: November 06, 2022, 04:35:04 PM
Look deeper into some of these crypto sponsors on sports teams and some of the earlier ones had CEOs/founders who themselves were actually Bitcoin adopters early on, even with contributions on this forum Wink

"Could" is moot point, don't think anyone disagreed in the last ATH period gaming/sports/entertainment had a lot to say in terms of retail interest in Bitcoin.

It's moved beyond Bitcoin now, I think. It's somehow not as cool as digital collectibles and fan tokens.

Nice call!

And I definitely remember you having some coins on Astros, so well done, you!

Turned my small outlay into a bigger outlay, had I not missed the 4th game, I'd have probably double this (was putting everything won down on Astros all the way).

Nice that I more than covered back my BoSox outright loss 6 months ago (which also settled today to remind me heh).

See you all in March, again eh?
3434  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2022/2023 on: November 06, 2022, 02:24:47 PM
Sevilla derby tomorrow, any thoughts about it? It seems that change of manager didn't gave much positive impact for Sevilla. It's not that Betis is obvious favorite, but I can't remember Sevilla rated before derby so bad.

And yet not quite enough to make me place bets on them. Was really hesitant on adding Atletico to my acca which I am just about to put down, and glad I didn't as they look stuck as hell.

On the other hand, I did put Villareal in, again, nothing to share here unless I hit.

In other games I believe Atletico Madrid has to bounce back and win against Espanyol. Espanyol is especially bad when playing away from home and Atletico has to win games like this if they plan on playing CL next season, let alone challenge for the title. To be fair I think that title challenge boat has sailed for them, Barca and Real, both with 10+ points at this point of the season should be too much to overcome.

I've to keep predicting them to win most games, but they're really letting themselves down. Coughed up for Griezmann, wondering what's happening with Joao Felix, but problem now at second half if they're playing against 10-men Espanyol. Worst thing to happen at home at Metropolitano IMO.
3435  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - Main sponsor of Southampton FC 👋👋 on: November 06, 2022, 01:21:53 PM
Arsenal raining down the shots and not getting one on target in the first half, Chelsea fouls double that of the Gunners, Partey taking away a sure goal from Martinelli in early 2nd half showed just how eager Arsenal were...

Saka scores from a corner, what a great take! Probably given to Magalhaes but it was going in!

5th London derby, and Arsenal are on their way to 5/5. #nojinx

Ouch that 97' own goal by Brentford  Embarrassed

And he almost saved it on the line too, all that acrobatic and it still went over. Very ouch. Still, pretty awesome to see some of our players rise up and get some really good wins, challenging those Brasileiro crazies!

Still, you should have lost Leeds too, that was even crazier I think!
3436  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin payment implementing at the Bitcoin Island(BORACAY) on: November 06, 2022, 01:05:45 PM
Interestingly enough, the company/app (Pouch.ph) that sort of like sponsored this implementation is pretty unknown probably outside that island. Great move by them though, I don't know why the biggest Philippine exchange (Coins.ph) hasn't made such a move.

Yeah, and I think this is at least the second mention from Pouch already in this forum that I've come across -- pretty cool of them, and much like the Bitcoin (and LN) initiatives in my resident country, little love from the media, but steadily plodding along doing actual circular economies like these.

Coins.ph? Last I used (fellow freelancers in PH), last year, they were still using legacy wallets =D
3437  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: November 06, 2022, 11:59:44 AM
Maybe I am crazy but I do not wait for that late, normally I register them by Thursday latest. No Haaland is a wicked strategy, I doubt that many people do not have it every single week, there must be some sort of booking, injury, fatigue type of thing in play for him to not play, dude is a beast that could score in any game, and in a world where we need 6 other scorers, at least having one of them covered is a legit deal. Jesus could be good too, but aside from that I do not know about this week, I will probably not have even 4 rights.

I usually slot my picks in as soon as they're available, since I forget more often than I remember.

The best is to do all my picks (pools and predictors) all on the final day of game week, so you know rightaway who got injured/suspended. Unfortunately, real life hardly works in that manner and a lot can happen in the days between end and start of new Matchweek.

I'm already out of contention for this week's MajSev. Leeds game had 7 goals and I backed Struijk ha ha ha.

Still, want Arsenal to win so anyone who put in Jesus, Saka, etc., GL!
3438  Economy / Exchanges / Re: FTX comedy and might be another exchange that bites the dust? on: November 06, 2022, 10:55:45 AM
All exchanges do that, I feel, judging from how bloated my throwaways have become, and when the breadcrumbs lead to them, it's a simple: damn our data storage guys were compromised.
You should work on the assumption that any and all data you give to a centralized exchange, from an email address to a scan of your passport, will eventually be sold, shared, or leaked to a variety of third parties.

I do. I've also now added to my assumptions that the right to be forgotten (GDPR) will not be respected. And with financial institutions (exchanges fall under this category in the EU I believe), they actually have the right to retain information even should you request this because of AML laws which warrant them keeping it (I believe, for 7 years).

There needs to be a service that propagates misidentification to confuse all these bloody resellers. I'd pay to have a wrong profile of me stored and uploaded everywhere.

And yet, I'm the toxic bitcoin maxi because I advise people not to lose their money on scams and shitcoins. Roll Eyes

Unsung heroes actually are sung about a lot, with shitty lyrics Wink
3439  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: November 06, 2022, 09:49:53 AM
Soft pen but KdB had every right to go to ground and was the right call. Reminds me Mane the only one who could do that at the right time. Seen Nunez try a couple of times to poor effect heh. Oh, well, Fulham.

Anyway, what do you guys think of Liverpool to win and BTTS combo at 3.65?  Good value?  I know Liverpool has been losing lately but against clubs at somewhat their level, Klopp and his boys seem more motivated to get the W.  And I chose BTTS 'yes' because it's hard to imagine they'll get a clean sheet against Kane, Son and co.

Good value but no Son, so good for us. I will likely stick to my ML win for Liverpool. Saw today we have half the points of City and we are barely a third into the season. Hurt me a lot to see that. Conte reminded at the press conference he cost us the title last season. We cannot let him cost us Champions League this one.

@swogerino Leicester most away goals scored in league so still some value in Asian total to back up accas.
3440  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2022/2023 on: November 06, 2022, 09:19:17 AM
is Berlusconi an owner there? or the press is just relating Monza to him?
yeah, three wins in a row were somehow more than unexpected, but they are back to losing route, where they meet Verona, with even longer losing strike - 7 games, 8 lose in a row will make a history for Verona, in a negative way, they never lost eight matches in a row - statistically I have Monza to win, history has to change Smiley

Yeah, he bought them when they were in Serie C 4 seasons ago, promised to take them to Serie A, which has happened, so he's kind of a god hero cult status in some parts (obviously because of his past also a villain so Monza is also Team Evil). Milan, on the other hand, have been improving since he sold them so win win I guess.

Will Napoli have an insane 8 points advantage over second place?

update: 2-1 finally  Smiley

The 1:1 score does look statistically attractive, the problem is that it is in a range that is narrower than the score range where one of the teams wins. A draw is an event more rare than the victory of a favorite or an outsider, oddly enough.

Watched only the first half, but as it turned out, was all I needed to watch. Great game for the neutrals, as usual, though I did have Napoli to score another for an exact score, but Lookman and Osimhen are the heart of both team's precision. Couldn't agree more with Trofo they are such a joy to watch (and pretty awesome they did most of the hard work without Osimhen).

Sort of a shame Nigeria doesn't have such a great midfield to allow them to play the way they do in Italy.
