3421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Trading on exchanges inside your very own wallet on: June 04, 2020, 04:00:31 PM
What makes it better than real decentralized exchange if it's centralized? I would be careful with such exchanges if it's not transparent, safe/secure, immutable, trustless/permissionless, privacy-friendly, censorship resistant, decentralized and consensus driven. Community consensus matters alot too otherwise nothing stops the owners from making secret harmful/harmless changes whenever they want.
By the way, what you described can be done very well & efficiently with decentralized exchange.
3422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs. Asset-backed cryptocurrencies: The race for future adoption on: June 04, 2020, 02:36:53 PM
Bitcoin doesn't necessarily have to be backed by those assets (esp gold) in my opinion. It is special in its own way. It's hard money like gold.
You could however create tokens within a cryptocurrency network to properly back virtual/physical assets... and they would be specially designed for that purpose.
3423  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Decentralized currencies but Centralized trading on: June 04, 2020, 10:47:45 AM
Part of the problems is lack of adherence to principles, and we don't actively and genuinely discourage these weak points of Bitcoin/crypto. People want to be rich/wealthy at the expense of the network. (you can still be rich running  well decentralized businesses, why not).

It's almost becoming a taboo to promote decentralization and proper use of cryptocurrency. If care is not taken, the wonderful features of real Blockchain/crypto will be chipped away little by little until they find themselves using a completely different tech that is totally centralized and controlled by those/things it was created to avoid/prevent. This is how nations deteriorate after being founded by good founding fathers and with good principles.
3424  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Home Court advantage = Not an advantage now because of no-live audience? on: June 04, 2020, 09:07:26 AM
you wont mind the audience if you are a pro player because you can always win the game based on your skill and not because of the crown but to some , audience can give them a small boost
The thing is, these kind of games are not only played by an ace player of the team, it's played by the whole. Just even on the stats given on the OP that will surely give you an idea how home court advantage really drives the win for the game home court players.

Much more if there are crucial plays the crowd really do make a difference to change the pace and momentum of the game especially in basketball most likely the NBA. Under the new normal of less or no fans in an arena I think home court advantage will really not make a difference.

I think a reasonable numbers of supporters in the stadiums at the safe required level can still encourage the players.
They could get the supporters abit close to the players so that they will feel more close to each other and be encouraged. The voices, presence, cheers, encouragement, etc would need to be felt more by the players

3425  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Taxation on: June 04, 2020, 08:59:33 AM
So far as I know they still want to tax crypto as a capital gain in many countries, rather then allowing it be defined as a currency which would make it tax free basically.  The example might be gold coins which are liable to no taxes in many countries, even though you can easily double your money over some years buying a gold coin when the price has fallen.  See the last few years for gold and its risen alot in normal terms, just nothing moves quite as much as crypto is able to in price.

Your example with Gold coin is quite interesting.

Crypto( well decentralized crypto) is even a special case in my opinion but many still do not understand this or they choose not to understand. I wouldn't be surprised if a properly decentralized and well built crypto with advanced ecosystem also tax other nations/people and the nations tax it too when necessary.
It's way bigger than people think. Most are probably not aware of its great potentials and what it seeks to achieve hence the confusions, contradictions, abuses and deviations from proper/safe standards in the space. You can't allow centralization to control you without losing (or gradually losing) your freedom/sovereignty/independence.
Taxes can occur without losing your values/ideals to central powers.
3426  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Choice To Stay Longer Online Or Casinos on: June 04, 2020, 07:51:38 AM
If there is an existing topic or similar topic I will lock this thread please let me know.

Casinos have many perks like free drinks, foods and sometimes room and accommodation and they also offer loan to their old clients
While online gambling casinos you are in the comfort of your home you are relaxed and can play and take time and go back with one click

Where do you play longer hours online casinos or casinos?

I rarely go to a traditional casino.
The reason for that it that it is in a long distance of my house and when I go I know that I am going to gamble a lot of money because there are a lot of addictions and distractions there. I prefer spending my hours in online casinos.

Playing online casinos is more fun than playing at home in general There are many nice opportunities to get bonuses but there are no bonuses for playing at home and the social environment is ruined. I play online casinos are great for gaining knowledge about other more sites.

It's also more convenient to bet online, I guess. If I were to start betting, I would most likely use the online ones more to avoid crowds/noise/distractions and probably for the convenience.
I always assume that lots of people who use the physical ones also like the crowd and probably to socialize.

3427  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PAGCOR waiting for the approval to reopen land-based casinos. on: June 04, 2020, 07:29:36 AM
PAGCOR already allows POGO to operate so I think casinos are asking as well for their approval so they can now continue doing business. We heard the news about the OKADA Hotel reducing their manpower because of no operation so if its continue to happen then we might hear a sad news from other big casinos. The risk is high on casinos, so it will depend on the gambler if they will go or not, for now think for your safety and health.

I think the government should set a proper standard for safety, responsible betting, moderation etc in the casinos especially  those that have no such standard/rules. That will likely reduce the tendency for casinos to take big risk in the crisis situation.
There should be few people in the casinos, and they shouldn't be staying too long to allow other customers to come in and bet. The casinos should be well ventilated if indoor and should include other safety measures.
A responsible government shouldn't be allowing its citizens to gamble or take too much risk in casinos. A "short bet" with small amount of money (depending on what the players can afford to lose) should be enough. And the games should be good/safe games.
3428  Other / Off-topic / Note that the "lawlessness" won't be restricted to one country. on: June 03, 2020, 06:01:52 PM
When anarchy increases/starts worldwide, you don't join them, you flee to somewhere safe. (It's "bad spirits" in people at work . You don't join them in such situations).  This is why it's important to start preparing now. *We still have some time to prepare*. Lot of places will fall to the "evil one." But GOD will keep true believers safe.

True believers in CHRIST are your true family members. Those are the people you should be looking for and connecting with in order to live with them when the global crisis comes.

You seperate yourself from the world to join a true church of GOD.
Note that it's only in the church you can  have different people, ethnic groups, etc within your country coming together as One under CHRIST in peace and freedom. So, don't hesitate to join people from different backgrounds as long it's a true Church.

3429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New Silver Asset Backed Cryptocurrency on: June 03, 2020, 02:51:59 PM
The market value of the Silvering token (SLVG) may vary on a daily basis, depending on the international price of silver.

Why would anyone buy a token that is backed by silver and not silver itself? By not holding the silver you only risk that from some reason you will never get your silver delivered for your token. Cryptocurrencies are meant to secure digital asset and not something like silver.

Not just that, it can easily be abused if there is no easy way to verify that the silver actually exists. Beside, the silver isn't supposed to be held in one centralized location in ideal crypto world... (plus the custodial problem in crypto). Another big problem is that many of such projects are likely not well decentralized.
These are part of the reasons I am skeptical about lots of the assets backed cryptos. It shouldn't  be too challenging to create really good physical asset backed ones

3430  Other / Off-topic / Should true christains own lethal weapons? on: June 03, 2020, 01:49:47 PM
I mean weapons for killing people?
Well, not really necessary, because GOD fights for HIS own, the true believers!
The Word of GOD is the weapon of a holy Christian, and his/her word is very powerful when uttered in holiness and according to the will of GOD.

Our Weapon is Spiritual
We are in the New testament... We are living in the spirit and our weapon is spiritual.
You have to be holy to have the spiritual powers/weapon (which is totally from GOD), and it is thesame power Adam and Eve owned in the garden in their holy state before losing it to sin.
If you always please GOD, HE will always fight for you, you wouldn't need to worry about physical weapons.

Physical weapons are basically for those weak in faith and they are way less powerful than the spiritual ones which is freely given to us by the ALMIGHTY.
3431  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is based on probability. on: June 03, 2020, 10:22:28 AM
Interesting.
Guess that is not the same as randomness because some price movements aren't that random. The word (probability) fit the market activities though.
I think you can still predict the market fairly ok with enough skills/experience. Charts can sometimes be predictable with their zigzaggy up & down price movements... More like "if the market dips, there is high probability/chances it will go back up"
3432  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Home Court advantage = Not an advantage now because of no-live audience? on: June 03, 2020, 10:13:11 AM
Guess the chances for home teams are high because they feel at home and the pressure/cheering from supporters is pushing them to win. Besides, the players will likely play harder to impress their supporters and community.

Imagine wrestling without the audiences... the motivation will be low for the wrestlers. They will probably perform well without the audiences if there are other incentives to get them perform.
So, maybe the footballers incentives (without audience) have to be modified abit to reward them for playing well
3433  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The real value of blockchain on: June 03, 2020, 08:27:00 AM
There are alot of values in its fundamentals or principles. Decentralization is one of the most important part of them. Without the decentralization, we will have alot of the vices or abuses associated with centralized currencies taking place on the network. The decentralization makes breaking or going against network rules without the participants consent (consensus) harder. There are other really valuable principles of Blockchain like transparency, immutablity, censorship resistant, privacy/anonymity, permissionless/trustlessness, security etc
3434  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PAGCOR waiting for the approval to reopen land-based casinos. on: June 03, 2020, 07:55:17 AM
Well, am abit careful with the words used on the post, so I wouldn't approve if the purpose of opening in a crisis time like this is to "gamble".
I don't see anything wrong with gaming though, as long as the games are safe and players bet responsibily(and not gamble). Gambling esp in crisis period doesn't sound right to me
Hope the safety measures are sufficient.
3435  Other / Off-topic / Church is not really a physical building on: June 02, 2020, 04:33:54 PM
We the people under CHRIST are the Church (the body of CHRIST). You don't call physical building the body of CHRIST, do you? The dictionary definition of "church" is not really correct.

The Church is currently alive and not closed like many say. Church buildings are closed in many places but the true church is alive. The closed church buildings don't prevent the church (us) from gathering "safely" outside.
3436  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is why I believe bitcoin will crush in the distant future on: June 02, 2020, 03:14:57 PM
Well, Bitcoin is programmable. It should be possible to build a well decentralized and efficient applications ontop of it to solve the inheritance problem.
In regards to lost coins making bitcoin lower... that also makes the supply less which in turn increases its price.  Satoshi said something in this regard:

"Lost coins only make everyone else's coins worth slightly more. Think of it as a donation to everyone." https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=198.msg1647#msg1647

3437  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Extremely Low Oil Prices Might impact Bitcoin Mining Industry on: June 02, 2020, 02:35:51 PM
This doesn't really sound like a sustainable way to mine Bitcoin. What happens if the price of oil shoots up? Miners start looking for another cheap energy sources in other to be profitable? I think it's better to miner with clean energy that has long term "stable price".
By the way, the focus of miners should be to mine with clean renewable energy so they don't lose the argument in the future that Bitcoin is fair for the environment. If they try to make the oil environmental friendly with some sort of technology, that could still increase cost
3438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Have anyone tried USDT Fixed-Term Deposit on BigONE? on: June 02, 2020, 10:50:05 AM
Is the "BigOne" an exchange? Doesn't sound established... so I would be careful if I were you till am sure. Besides, not a good idea to leave a lot of funds on custodial exchanges.
Not enough details on the "fixed term deposit". https://bigone.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/900000930363-USDT-Fixed-Term-Deposit
Doesn't look too convincing by the way
3439  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online casino searches at "all time high" during lockdown on: June 02, 2020, 10:19:37 AM
I am sure all types of online activities feel very good during a pandemic, and crypto casinos are no exception.
The whole world went online, the casino has always had a lot of its regular visitors prone to gambling addiction and bringing the largest percentage of profits.
Obviously, they can’t live without a casino, especially because of the isolation itself, people go crazy, which means that online gambling will be an excellent way for them to escape from problems.

Problem is that you don't escape problems by gambling or taking big  risk... You're simply creating more chances for problems by gambling.  You escape problems by doing mostly things that are productive and beneficial to you in that particular situation.
Rather than gamble, people should bet responsibly with little amount or what they can afford to lose, especially on games that are, good, safe,

3440  Economy / Gambling / Re: ♠️ 7XL - the largest poker network in the world is finally here! - 30% rake back on: June 02, 2020, 08:22:00 AM
Looks really interesting.
How about Android application? Planning to include that in the future?
In regards to the staking platform, what cryptos can be staked and used on the platform? Native coin/token?

Will probably check it out in the future. Already set a reminder, and bookmarked

We already have Android application can be found here: http://contents.good-game-network.com/mobile/7XL/download/en

Staking in poker means, you register to a big event, you can get funded by poker players on our platform, usually it happens based on your latest tournament results.
While the staking happens only in USD/EURO when you withdraw the funds, you're getting it in BTC.

Oh, you mean the typical staking in poker/betting and not crypto staking?

Anyway, I thought it's a full cryptocurrency poker site. I wonder how easy using fiat currencies will be on the site.
Your main post kind of look different today.
