3441  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bittrex is better? on: December 05, 2017, 08:24:48 AM
What is the easiest exchange to use for someone who does not know how to trade?  Im planning to buy altcoins and also sell it as some day trading as well.

Bittrex looks okay... the other exchanges like gdax looks way too complicated.  In terms of user friendliness... which are the easiest to hardest?  I read someone said bittrex is the easiest exchange for newbies.  True or false?

Where does hitbtc, binance and crytopia rank compared to bittrex?  And what about gdax and gemini?
3442  Economy / Trading Discussion / USDT on Bittrex? on: December 05, 2017, 08:21:37 AM
Hey all got a question.  If you send btc to bittrex and sell your bitcoin... you get the usdt equivalent right?  So for example if you sell btc for 10k and sell 1 of it.  Let say you get around 9975 or so since there is the 0.25 percent fee.  So that means you would have a 9975 usdt value balance?

I read that usdt is a cryptocurrency called tether.  So if you sell bitcoin for that price, you would get a 9975 usdt balance?  So with this balance... let say bitcoin drops to like 9000.  Now let say you want to buy 1 bitcoin.  So the total cost would be 9000 + 22.50 fee = 9022.50.  So that would mean you would have 1 bitcoin in your bittrex wallet.  But your usdt value would show 954.50 usdt right?

So basically if you want to buy and sell bitcoin... buy at the low... then sell very high and do it many times, that would mean your usdt value would be your profit right?  Now with the usdt value you have... the most important thing is how do you cash it out to your bank account?  I read gdax and gemini you sell your bitcoin there and then its converted into usd and then you do an ach or wire transfer to your bank account.  But with bittrex, can you send a bank wire or ach to your bank account or not?  So you would have to create a tether.io account... then send the tether from bittrex to tether.io?  Now what if you want to cash it out.  What are the fees to cash out to your bank account?  I read tether is around 1 dollar or so.  That means that tether is basically like a usd balance then right?  The thing is i read that people who trade on gdax or gemini... they buy/sell bitcoin etc.  But with bittrex, its the same as in gdax/gemini right?  The only different is you have USDT as oppose to usd balance if it was done in gdax or gemini?
3443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: which exchange is best for trading on: December 05, 2017, 07:24:52 AM
Is bittrex the number 1 exchange if you had to only choose one?

Also i read lot of users got their accounts frozen etc.  Anyone else with bittrex account have this issue?  I made my account enhanced and it seem to allow me to use it no problem.  But in the other thread, people say their accounts are locked etc and they won't reply to email.

Thoughts on this?

Is it still worth a buy right now?
3445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA to be listed on Bittrex soon, time to buy on: December 05, 2017, 06:51:20 AM
Is there a reason they have not been put on bittrex earlier?  Also when a coin hits bittrex, isn't that a sign that coin will be big?
3446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Power Ledger hit $2 soon on: December 05, 2017, 06:48:24 AM
Does anyone think this coin could hit at least 10 dollars?

What coins does myetherwallet use?

Can someone list all the altcoins that myetherwallet uses?  When i used it, it only showed ETH.
3449  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Shift price by end of 2017. on: December 05, 2017, 02:57:01 AM
Can someone tell me where do you download the wallet?  Do most of you keep shift in your shift wallet or exchange?  And is there a way to get shift without using an exchange?  shapeshift/changelly doesnt have it.
3450  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Any exchanges with no ID requirement if no fiat involved? on: December 05, 2017, 02:51:25 AM
I do know a few of them such as Yobit, Hitbtc, Cryptopia, Livecoin, Coinsmarket etc... Most of these exchanges doesn't require an ID verification to exchange cryptos. I had been using Yobit the most in these and it has been really great. Although Yobit is a shit site since it lists scam coins which are worth nothing, it doesn't require any ID verification and doesn't have any limits or restrictions. Transfer crypto to it, withdraw it etc.. and the charges are also lesser than other exchanges.

Can you tell me the pros/cons of these exchanges?  I read some ppl said that cryptopia has huge withdraw fees or something like that?
3451  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Any exchanges with no ID requirement if no fiat involved? on: December 05, 2017, 02:49:12 AM
Im confused.  So you could buy altcoins with btc with no id verification on binance and hitbtc?  Can others confirm here?

On Binance, unverified users can trade bitcoins/altcoins and are allowed to withdraw 2 BTC (or equivalent) per day. If you need higher limits, ID/passport is required. Not sure about HitBTC but I've definitely heard that people trade there with no verification.

If you are willing to have the wallets of whichever cryptocurrencies you want to trade on your own computer, you can't go wrong with Shapeshift or Changelly. I have used both of these without a problem.

I'm a big fan of this method of trading (wallet > Shapeshift/Changelly > wallet). In a pinch for short-term trading, multi-coin wallets like Exodus and Jaxx are an option, although they aren't ideal for security. MEW can also be used for all the ERC-20 tokens.

The only issue with them is that not only do they not act as a wallet at all, but they also may have significant fees depending on which cryptocurrency you are trying to exchange since all of the trades have to be done in their corresponding blockchains.

The fees they charge generally reflect the commission + spread on exchanges. The only asset with somewhat high network fees is BTC (not great for small transactions). To Erik Voorhees' credit, Shapeshift did switch to Segwit recently, which has somewhat mitigated that.

Can you tell me what coins myetherwallet supports?  I have an account there but i saw there is only ETH.

There are many coins that you cant get on shapeshift or changelly.  If thats the case, that means you have to get it on an exchange right?
3453  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex ignores thousands of clients! on: December 05, 2017, 02:43:30 AM
Okay when i check my account settings it does say enhanced account.  Does that mean im safe to using it now?

Also i like to know do people here use 2 factor authorization with bittrex?  is it recommended or not?  I know it uses google authenticator.  But isn't an issue if you lose your cell phone or something like this going to be a problem?  Do you recommend turning on or off 2 factor authorization?  Also i read that if you want to turn it off, you need bittrex to email you back when you email them.  Is that true or false?  Because aren't they already getting lot of emails already and not responding?

At this point I would not risk it. Mine says enhanced verified, but they then disabled it. I used to only use Bittrex. Now, I just cant recommend it. Been waiting three months on original ticket. Now have multiple open on two accounts and cant use either account. They, like all other exchanges are slammed. But to do what they have to so many of us, just doesn't give me confidence in them.

How long did you get enhanced verified?  Do you have 2fa on or not?

So you and many others have bitcoin/altcoins stuck there and cannot withdraw... is this true or not?
3454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin Wallets? on: December 05, 2017, 02:42:21 AM
How do we know that the wallet for a specific coin is legit and not a virus/fake?

For example, can someone tell me what is the real wallet for

shift
lisk
iota

Are there lot of fake altcoin wallets out there?

3456  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex Account Enhance verification on: December 04, 2017, 03:36:20 AM
Hey all got a question.  I created a bittrex account not that long ago but never sent any btc there.  I have not deposited any btc there because i read you cannot withdraw without verification.

I first tried basic verification with my information and it did not work.

I then put in my verification document and picture.

I then got the message

Your application for an enhanced account has been approved
Your documents have been verified.

This was done in less than a few minutes.  Does that mean i can withdraw any amount of btc i want now?  Is it safe for me to deposit btc into bittrex now?  Or is it possible for them to make my account not verified?  Has anyone here gotten verified that quickly with their documents?  It was pretty quick when i got that message that your enhanced account has been approved.

Is there a way to confirm my account is indeed enhanced?

3460  Economy / Speculation / Re: This guy predicts bitcoin to be $20,000 in 2 years. What do you think? on: December 03, 2017, 06:24:54 AM
If no one plans to sell btc if it hits 15k, would that make the price go up or down?  Thus there are less sellers because people think it will only go up.  Or does that have no effect on it?
