Fiat by definition means state sponsored or decreed by government. Under that definition, bitcoin is not fiat. Correct, and an important distinction when attempting to determine the true value of Bitcoin (the technology). Bitcoin has inherent value by its design as a decentralized network and de facto value based on the network itself as well as the bitcoin economy as a whole. Correct again, and extremely important when attempting to determine the true value of Bitcoin (the investment). When I say true value, I mean "what BTC will be worth in 3-5 years when the rest of the world catches up with the top 5% of the IQ bell curve folks who have already figured this shit out".

I would never , ever invest in or use google coins. Google is an obnoxious corporation with entirely too much power that thinks it can do whatever it wants and most of the time it can... It's already taking over the world. And buying up robotics companies left and right... including Boston Dynamics, the makers of this adorable little nightmare-machine, PETMAN: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mclbVTIYG8E

I first heard about about Bitcoin back in late 2011 / early 2012. As a gamer, I happened to have a GPU that was good for mining (6950) and mined a few coins (now lost) back then just out of curiosity. I came back to it around September 2013 with real interest as I learned it had gone over $80 / Bitcoin (and I remembered when it was $10 / coin!). That's when I traded my first fiat for BTC.
Before Bitcoin reached $150 / coin, 90% of my net worth was divested from fiat. I have never looked back.

OP, if you have invented something that would change people's lives forever, turning them from slaves to free people, to choose from their own, their own destiny:
Would you want your government to know about it?
Think hard before you answer.... Best post in thread.

Final yes. Also powerless and impossible to effectively enforce.

Until the technological singularity or nation-state super-weapon apocalypse, whichever comes first.

Is it possible that the person Dorian isn't the right Satoshi Nakamoto, and overzealous reporters who in the 21st century have no clue what proper investigative reporting and fact checking are, just saw the name and jumped the gun?
Is it possible that SN was always an alias? Not only possible, but highly probable. We know the real Satoshi was an expert on pseudonymity and a part of the cypherpunk scene going all the way back to the early 90s. This person(s) knew what (t)he(y) were doing.

It's just really, really, really hard to buy bitcoins with Yaun and/or cash them out into mainland yaun.
But wouldn't you be able to get around that by simply going Yuan -> dollars (or any currency) -> Bitcoin? I don't get it.

That's absolutely correct. Bitcoin empowers individuals. Much like with file sharing via torrents, it is up to each individual to decide for themselves. Bitcion is sovereign above and beyond any single nation-state. Cryptocurrency is now the de facto Earth money for the 21st century.

They would probably ignore too radical questions. The word radical literally means "to get to the root of", usually a problem. Bitcoin is radical by definition, as it gets to the root of the problem of exchanging money (trust). Rest assured, the advent of cryptocurrency will change our world in radical ways. If they'll ignore questions as "too radical", you're wasting your time. That should come as no surprise, given that you're talking to lawyers and judges.

Time Statis wallet.
your private key is deep encrypted, and can only be decrypted at a certain date and time (it checks the atomic clock in Las Vegas) Sounds like a great incentive to hack the computer(s) that connects to the atomic clock in Las Vegas.

Bitcoin is linked to criminals. As are cell phones. And email. Who hasn't heard of the Nigerian scams?

what do you think, i sold half of my BTC and put buy back orders at lower values.
It's not wise to sell now. Buy buy buy!!!!!! I can't tell you for certain whether this person is correct, but I CAN tell you that I just bought 3 more BTC at ~450... Take from that what you will.

I don't really think he is semi-retarded. For sure. For a minute I thought OP was talking about himself, then I realize he was just jealous of the multi-millionaire master-thief that is Mark K. Ironic that he named himself "WolfofBitcoin" and admitted to being a "top loser" on Gox. @OP: Kid, a real wolf doesn't lose big. A real wolf eats naive, gullible little shits like you for breakfast. Trust me.

I expected bigger change in the BTC rate... For the love of all that is holy, STOP worshipping the fiat exchange rate!!! That rate is WRONG to begin with because it assigns a monetary value to fiat greater than 0! Give the world time to figure out just how obsolete fiat is, the exchange rate will correct itself. This will take years, not days, by the way.

Ask them if they want to be able to afford food & shelter in five years. Ask them how they feel about hyper-inflation. Ask them if they'd like to see World War III end the world as we know it.
Hope those aren't too provocative for you, but they're the only questions that matter.

Fuck you. You incompetent prick. You know nothing. Err, that was a joke dude. He was just mocking OP... Take a deep breath.
