3441  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2 week target $160 on: April 06, 2015, 10:48:59 AM
Ok, jokes are over.

Analyzing the charts and order books today i noticed how we will fall straight down to $160 if we break $230.
Chances are around 93% that we break $230 within the upcoming 2 week period.

This will be the start of the crash I've been talking about! Fasten your seat belts for the drop of your or get out while you can!

Your is only a supposition, and as supposition it could be true but it could be false (this is normal). However I don't think the bitcoin price will drop to 160 dollars, if it will go down I will buy (for sure) 300-400 dollars of bitcoin, because I think the price will go up after the next block reward halving.

I hope all this speculation will end one day, and the price will be more stable than the previous years (and also of this year).

Possibly a hacked/stolen account. No post after 10 July, 2014 other than this. Can you sign a message with one of your address you posted?

Yes of course. OP can you explain why did you changed the password (through) email?

Today at 10:12:41 AM - Boelens - password reset via email

Your last post here in the forum was this (July 10, 2014):

Much easier to put it up on betmoose.com - plus you'll make a commission from the pot. That said, someone else made one for the dota2 internationals, and tried quite heavily to spread it, only one taker.

I think eSports will catch up to bitcoin or vise versa soon though!

Hm, I see. I wish there were some more people interested in it!

EDIT:

can you sign a message from this bitcoin address : 1BoeLensDrVHLjYW4pPab5UENKBuDupfKt ? Here the post : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=630548.msg7052537#msg7052537

3443  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Interest... again on: April 06, 2015, 10:33:21 AM
many hole in the security aren't bitcoin fault, it's because of the incompetence of some exchange, cough gox, bitstamp cough, or general people that don't know how to protect their desktop

i never lost any bitcoin due to thieves

Exchanges such as Bitstamp are well known for their security features. So you can't brand all of them as being incompetent. Even here in Bitcointalk, I have seen very intelligent people losing their coins. You need some luck as well, to protect your coins from thieves.

Maybe in the next few years these exchange will drop and a few new "decentralized" exchange will be created (only to trade btc <>altcoin). The problem with decentralized exchange (FIAT side) is that the fiat money are too big problematic due the chargeback possibility, the stolen of bank, credit card etc....

These exchangers are both positive and negative for the bitcoin ecosystem and the mainstream adoption
3444  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Looking for an exchange site have to be trusted ... on: April 06, 2015, 10:27:29 AM
The less verification it requires, the less trusted it is.

not really, kraken is a good example of a very good exchange, that not require verification, it was never hacked, like some big exchange  that say they are super secure cough bitstamp cought

for the OP, try kraken(euro exchange), but they work with usd too

If I can say my personal opinion, I also suggest kraken for exchange your bitcoin for euros (or viceversa). As Amph said, they don't require a verification but your account will be limited to 5k € per month (a good limit IMHO). I trust them, more than bitstamp or bitfinex.

Another interesting article about of what is happened:

According to Syrian state news agency SANA, the 80-year-old St Mary's Church in Tel Nasri - an Assyrian village in an area where Christian and Kurdish militia have been fighting Isis - has been destroyed by the jihadist group. The report did not reveal if there were any causalities. It is suggested that the Isis operation on Easter Sunday was aimed at eliminating the Christian and Kurdish militia groups. The Church of Our Lady Mary, built in 1934, was one of Syria's oldest churches.

Seize all the Western assets of Saudi Arabia and Qatar and distribute them to the victims of the ISIS genocide. These two nations are responsible for the ISIS curse.

I don't understand why they don't attack israel, they proclaim muslims but they kill also muslims so this is not "really" rational. However (ontopic) what is the purpose for destroy a church?
3448  Other / Meta / Re: Trust spam happens on: April 06, 2015, 08:52:20 AM
Thanks mate. Whose next or am I the last? Smiley

Who cares? Negative trusts from brand new/newbie users. I hope no one will trust  their judgments  Roll Eyes. will the trust system be (in the new forum software) the same as now?
3449  Other / Politics & Society / ISIS destroys Syrian Church on Easter Sunday on: April 06, 2015, 08:34:56 AM
ISIS insurgents blew up an 80-year-old church in Syria's northeastern province of Hassaka on Easter Sunday, Syrian state news agency SANA said.

SANA, which did not report any casualties, said the militants had planted explosives inside the Church of the Virgin Mary in Tel Nasri, an Assyrian village in an area where Christian and Kurdish militia have been battling the self-proclaimed Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS).

ISIS controls the village, the news agency said on Monday. The militant group, which controls swathes of Syria and Iraq, espouses a fiercely terrorist ideology, deeming many Muslims to be heretics. Its fighters have destroyed Shi'ite and Sufi religious sites and also attacked churches.

3450  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: A good wallet for a US bit coin person on: April 06, 2015, 04:44:24 AM
Yes redsn0w i have see the greenaddress thread, but continue to like more a paper wallet, i have xx paper wallet with 0,1 bitcoin and i like see every day  Grin

Everyone of us has his own use of bitcoin, also the palaver wallet option is good but if you want a rapid spending of them that would be really annoying (because you should import the priv. keys and after use those Bitcoins).

I have never heard of greenaddress i'll check it out. Thanks for the link on the security problems with blockchain.info I will check it out. I am looking into making a cold storage wallet so I don't need to rely on web wallets for most of my btc.

A cold storage must be offline and you cannot use an online service for save your bitcoin. If you want create a real cold storage, use electrum on a windows/linux machine offline.

Best waller for me is electrum, online or offline, very fast and very light

Good choice, I also use electrum when we are talking about a large amount if btc.
3451  Economy / Economics / Re: Seller Adoption Fail on: April 05, 2015, 09:44:21 PM
Just found a site that lists "all" of the places accepting BTC.

Sad.

The laws of economics have sentenced BTC to market death.

-----------------------------------------------------

9,923

How many accept through services that immediately convert to another currency?

Everyone can do whatever he wants with his own money, now you are thinking in a world that using bitcoin for everything an this is not possible at the moent (due the limit of 7 tx per second, the lenght of confirmation, etc). As I always say here, bitcoin is a good and functional alternative to send money from a point A (example Rome) to a point B (example Pechino) with the lowest fee in the world (respect WU, moneygram, etc...) it could be also used for save money; the mainstream adoption will never happen with this protocol condition and bitcoin can never replace FIAT.

just my personal opinion, thanks for the attention.

PS: I always hoped in a decentralized world, but until the governments will exist that "thing" will never happen.
3452  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cryptoine.com HACKED [race condition bug] on: April 05, 2015, 09:09:01 PM

3453  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-04-04] NYdailynews: man wants to be arrested for donating BTC to Snowden on: April 05, 2015, 07:37:33 PM
But honestly, as I've said, they may be able to prosecute and jail several people over using Bitcoin, but do you really think they can go after thousands transferring each other $30 or so across state lines or internationally?

They don't need to jail thousands of people. They will jail two or three, and that will scare away 99% of the potential donors. Remember what happened to those guys who uploaded movies to the internet using torrents.  Grin

But I think people will continue to donate and donate, they cannot stop all the people or am I wrong? Donate to another person it is a part of our freedom, I can donate to you few satoshi and you can donate me. This is not "illegal", and this world is just going crazy every day. All my support also to snowden, he is (was) really courageous .
3454  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: A good wallet for a US bit coin person on: April 05, 2015, 07:13:51 PM
Online wallet = low security.

The best for security is only paper wallet to pc and printer without internet connection

Never, never, NEVER use online wallet. There s much higher possibility of these getting hacked. I would recommend Armory with its multi sig feature. Also, cold storage is a must have.
Trezor is another great wallet, but that one s a hardware wallet.

The possibility is much higher but it is much easier to use and maintain for a person who is new to bitcoin and does not have much BTC it is usually a better alternative.  But if you are storing a large amount you defiantly want to store it your self on an offline wallet.

Have you heard about greenaddress? It is an online wallet (web wallet) but with a lot of features and more secure than blockchain.info wallet.

I highly advise against using blockchain.info, because they are plagued with problems and they can cause you to use your coins.

Instead, you should use a client like Electrum for PC, or Mycelium for your phone. These are much more secure.
Also, it's spelt bitcoin, not bit coin.

Do you have any examples of these problems with blockchain.info that you mentioned?

Do you know the old security problem, the R values (related with a bad generation of private keys). More info here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=581411.0

3455  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] 64GB White iPhone 5 (Unlocked) 1 BTC! on: April 05, 2015, 07:09:27 PM
Hello dear,

I think the price is not the good one
Let's say .8 but not 1
You can't sell a IPhone 5 via btc without the . in the front,
I hope you will understand my mesajes and I wish you all the best.

The offer above your message is for 0.9 BTC, no way I would lower it to 0.8

Hope you understand my message  Wink

What is the minimum that you will accept? I am also located in EU, maybe if you will tell me a good price I will buy it (but I am not sure, it depends all of what will be the price).

I've been offered 0.9 for it. 1BTC and its yours!

No no , thanks anyway. 1 btc is too much (at the actual euro rate is 234 euros) and 234 euro for an iphone 5 (also if it has 64 gb) is too much for my "pocket". I suggest you to put your phone in an auction and maybe you will find a good buyer, good luck and sorry for the trouble.
3456  Other / Meta / Re: [Serious] Avatar Rules Discussion on: April 05, 2015, 07:05:44 PM
I believe an Avatar is an image that either represents the person or his belief/likes (in a DECENT way). It is also the matter of decency when it comes to an open forum like this and so that user (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=358121) should upload an image that is decent enough and not an image that makes other members uncomfortable. I also don't like the Avatar of VOD as well and some users too add Signatures which are so indecent. This is a bitcoin forum and not an adult forum where such images should be allowed.

Can I ask you one thing:  have you contacted that user (bigbitmine)? To try convince him to remove that avatar, or better change it to another one. Maybe he will agree and we can close this discussion here. Try and let us know if he will agree or not.

PS: the vod avatar is "normal"...
3457  Other / New forum software / Re: Ignore a user's avatar and signature buttons on: April 05, 2015, 06:26:57 PM
[...] and the only way to avoid seeing it would be to ignore that user or ignore all avatars which would probably be overkil.
Not really. With adblockplus (and probably other ad blockers), you can create a custom filter for that specific user's avatar image.

Can you help us to "program" a custom filter for hide some avatars. Because as erikalui said, there are some users that have put really indecent avatars, but I don't want to disable the view of all the other avatars.
3458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen to your Bitcoins when you die? on: April 05, 2015, 04:07:41 PM
Can someone make a guide to "save" our bitcoin (when we will die) so our relatives can take possess of it and them will not be lost for ever. Thanks for the attention.

PS: we can think this aspect as negative & positive aspect, because your bitcoin is secure but when we will go who will take possess of them?
3459  Other / Politics & Society / Re: World powers, Iran reach framework for nuke deal by June 30 on: April 05, 2015, 02:28:18 PM
The Pentagon has upgraded and tested the largest bunker-buster bomb in the US, powerful enough to disable Iran’s most heavily fortified nuclear facilities in case of failure to reach a nuclear deal, a senior US official told the Wall Street Journal. “The Pentagon continues to be focused on being able to provide military options for Iran if needed,” an unnamed senior US official has been quoted as saying. “We have not taken our eyes off the ball.

According to the Wall Street Journal report, work on the bunker buster (the so-called Massive Ordnance Penetrator, or MOP) started before the latest round of talks with Iran. The most recent testing took place in mid-January, when the improved bunker buster was dropped at a testing site at an undisclosed location by a B-2 bomber that took off from Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri, officials told the publication. The Wall Street Journal reported in 2012 that according to Pentagon war planners the 30,000-pound (13,607 kg) bunker buster wasn’t powerful enough to destroy some fortified Iranian nuclear facilities. So work reportedly began to upgrade the bomb’s design and guidance systems.

According to senior officials, the results show the improved bomb—when dropped one on top of the other—is now more capable of penetrating fortified nuclear facilities in Iran or in North Korea, The Wall Street Journal reported.

3460  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen to your Bitcoins when you die? on: April 05, 2015, 02:11:24 PM
What will happen to your Bitcoins when you die, will they be lost forever?

I feel that this is something that is overlooked by most Bitcoin users.

Do any of you have a system in place to allow loved-ones to access your funds when you pass on? What is the best way to do this? please share your wisdom in this thread.

I voted: no

I don't have any system to allow my parents, brothers or sisters to access my bitcoin funds. Maybe I should start to think about this eventuality, also for my future son (as heredity or something like that, maybe for their study).
