3441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it the right time to invest in cryptocurrencies? on: December 09, 2021, 07:00:49 PM

The economic pains of Covid-19 experienced in 2020 are experienced in many countries. Many countries are going through hard times economically and will. In these periods, salvation will of course be profitable investment planning. When I look at the crypto market for this period, the general comments are in the direction of BNB investment advice.

Do you think it makes sense to invest in BNB or another cryptocurrency?

What else can you suggest in line with the analyzes made on the subject?

Don't analyze and just get into the market.  Sure peoe were mad who bought the height of the 2013 run when bitcoin went down. To $200 they could have bought 5x the amount they did.  But are they mad now that they got in on that 2013 price?  Point is just get into the market dollar cost average up or down depending how the market goes and watch your value increase over time.  Just don't buy complete garbage coins.
3442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is burning coins good on: December 09, 2021, 06:58:34 PM
Recently, many projects have announced the burning of coins, but not everyone understands what this means.

This is a process by which cryptocurrency miners or developers get rid of a certain amount of tokens by sending them to addresses that are not accessible to anyone. The burning of coins is being implemented not because of the low viability of the project, but rather because of the desire of the creators of cryptocurrencies for great prospects.

Thus, the developers are trying to reduce the total number of available coins, while the created shortage affects the growth of their value.

The burning of coins can talk about the upcoming expansion of the project and a possible increase in its value. For example, after the recent announcement of a collaboration between Polygon and Newscrypto, the latter announced that they decided to burn $ 10M worth of NWC tokens this year. Consequently, in the near future, we can see a significant growth of NWC price on this news. What do you think about burning coins? Does this really affect the market value of the coins?

It's a scheme.  They are implying your coins are worth more automatically but it's not true it still relys on demand which they can generate.  People think burn half the coins and it will be worth double.  But if you burn half the coins in something that has little to no value anyway does it really mean anything?  The worst are the projects that start by just burning coins. Lol.  Rediculous.

Honestly I think the Patriots are one of the best teams in football right now (well obviously they are the #1 seed right now) but their defense is unreal.  I laid a bet on Tampa when they played the Pats, and that d help Tom in check dam well knowing Brady wanted to go in there and light it up.  This might be the best d Pats have ever had.  No way they lose  with Brady, question is can they win with mac.

I agree if Lillard isn't playing tonight I like the Clippers here.  I also like the magic at +16 against golden state.  Those large spreads are hard to cover as the end of the game Orlando should snipe some garbage minute points if they were down. 20 or so.  Taking the bulls -3.5 against the Nuggets too.

2-1 last night not bad.  Magic got trampled lol.  Tonight I have one game...the Knicks-2.5

Kind of a Homer pick but the Knicks actually play better on the road and they need to win this one.  They are on a bad slide and the Spurs are a team they match up decently again.  Good luck to everyone tonight!
[/quote]

Hit the Knicks Tues night against the Spurs but glad I layer off last night, another stinker to a middle of the road team.  Knicks are gonna need to make some moves to improve this roster or someone is going to have to step up.  Might start laying against them at this point

Houston Rockets today have just earned their 6 straight wins and looks like they finally found some rhythm that lead them to dominate every game from the worst team in the current season, now they are climbing to the playoff tree by defeating every opponent that crosses their way. Rockets is finally lifting off!

Excellent observation @yazher !
The Houston Rockets are having chemistry among the players and it seems like things are flowing naturally!

I believe the team needs to be consistent to get a playoff spot!

My question is... do you guys believe there are chances for the Rockets to participate in the playoffs this season?

Not a chance.  Of the 6 games only 2 were against playoff teams.  4 of those wins came against okc twice, Orlando and Pelicans.  Good on them but once they start playing against teams like jazz, Suns, Nuggets, Warriors, etc they will go on long winless streaks.  A good run for them but a couple losses and they are quickly 7-21.  There next couple games are against the Nets, Bucks, Hawks etc..
3446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: December 08, 2021, 12:49:55 AM
They missed their first FG attempt from extra point range after getting goaline stopped.

You're right, I just edited my post a few seconds ago. Still a good strategy with that two-point play.

Yeah it was pretty cool, I was a little surprised at the time but thats why bill is a great coach I guess.

I think percentage wise he knew he had a better chance to score on the ground then to kick it.  Probably was playing any extra point like that knowing if he hit 1 out of 2 basically would equal hitting both extra points.  That wind was serious.  Even the field goals they hit them things were kick it and cross fingers no big gust came through that second.  Bill is old school so he probably loved that win more than any other one so far this year.

Hey guys im new to the forum.  Is there anything that is worth knowing about this community . I started getting into bitcoin last year around US election time , and have been sucked into the "btcrabbit hole " and can't seem to get out . lol . I have started collecting physical bitcoins places , but was looking to get a little more serious , so I made an account here. hope to do some deals with y'all in the future .

Cheers ,

As others have said use escrow.  Don't fall for the scammers who use names like other people.  If someone wants to take a deal offline to telegram, etc bail 99.99999% chance they will try to scam you.  And don't impulse buy something, search on this site most likely there are past sales here where you can get a good Guage on market price/value.  Good luck and welcome to the thunderdome.  Oh and whatever happens if someone tries to get you to buy 50 tickets in a super raffle STEER CLEAR!

Was a big win for the Bulls especially that now Demar DeRozan is out due to covid-protocols ( not sure if they have said whether or not he for sure has covid, but it looks like we will be without him for some time).  Zach Lavine stepped up in a big way, once again, and Ball and Vuc added plenty as well.  LOVE seeing University of IL stud Ayo play as well as he has with this team and getting the start and the most minutes was just awesome!

Yeah that was a big win for sure.  Shows how good jokic really is though, imagine a healthy Jamal and mjp right now.  Sucked watching Jamal go down he was o e of my favorite younger players.  Hopefully he can come back somewhat like he was aging when he got injured.  Bulls are a top 3 east team and should be the whe year.
3449  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $2 million worth of SHIBA INU bought on: December 07, 2021, 08:16:52 PM
As per the latest update an Ethereum whale has purchased SHIB worth over $2 million, is that why we have seen recovery in the price over last 24 hours? I am wondering whether this will push more users to buy SHIB as there are two reasons why users will buy SHIB, one just because it's recovering and second is the assumption that whenever whales invest into any crypto it would pump hard. Are we being bull trapped again ?

Of course it is.  Following other people buying crap tokens is never a good idea.  And volume is so large right now on that token that $2mil doesn't budge the price.  I'd be weary thinking someone bought 2mil of it anyway, it can be gamed to make it look like that.

I'm so confused I will just set my lineup and see what happens.  *That feeling when Towely knows more what's going on then me*

On a football note last night's game was awesome to watch, Pats ran it down their throats with the Bills knowing it and still couldn't stop it, fun times.  Mac Jones 2-3 19 yards and they won lol.

My pick.

Game : TrailBlazers vs Clippers.

No Lillard for TrailBlazers so I'm expecting the same story on their last two games where they are heavily dominated by their opponents.

-Loss 31 points against the Spurs
-Loss 28 points against the Celtics.

So, not really expecting that they'll bounce back, instead, I expect the Clippers to bounce back after a loss against the Kings.

I have the Clippers -2.5 @1.93 against the TrailBlazers. Yeah, I think the Clippers will have to bounce back after their huge loss against the Kings. They've just beaten the Lakers in a tough match and then loss the next game.

And without Portland's top scorer, it will be hard for them to really phase as far as their offensive weapons is concern. CJ can't do it alone and they lack the support system right now.

Good odd for you, handicap -2.5 is very possible for Clippers to cover up.

Both teams lost their last games, but I consider Clippers have that great chance in winning this upcoming meetup.

Unless CJ will fire up and start creating those numbers. He also has that capability when he starts to heat up,

Though PG and his defensive capabilities may slow CJ, if he will take him and box him up.

Social media blowing up today on reports that Dame wants to pick up Ben Simmons in Portland. If Dame says it, Portland better make it happen. I don’t really see how they could pull that off, but it seems like the Dame/McCollum days may be numbered. This would probably be a good move for Portland, but more importantly it might keep Dame in a Trailblazers uniform.

It does mean that even Dame was frustrated with how the organization always ended up every season, and giving a hint that he might end up switching teams, he still wants to continue his loyalty to the team.

If Dame requests something, the Blazers should try to give it no matter what.

As of now, it's still a rumor. If happens, I think Simmons will be utilized more in the Blazers as a Small Forward instead of a Point Guard. He just needs someone to extract his best role and that might be Dame.

I don't know how they piece that trade together but if they can keep Dame, cj and nurkic on the team that would be interesting.  I can't see them being able to get Ben and keep everything together they just do t have that many other good pieces for a team that wants to win now

What about that large coin I think one was made that was a bitcoin and eth coin, where the private Kelly's were hidden by emeralds and rubies.  Anyone remember that coin?

I've also heard that Microsoul coins that were actually loaded are hard to come by too.

 Cheesy

Yes this coin!  If memory serves me right I don't think it ever sold.  Very cool design, I always liked coins with embedded stones.  Makes for a nice cross over of a lot of different things.  Think I was loaded with like 1 bitcoin or something high which makes it hard to sell now.

Pg's injuries and klays are completely different.  Pg snap and bone whereas klay tore ligaments.  Look at what tearing a knee did to d rose.  At 22-23 he was annihilating the league and is now just getting back his shiftyness.  Was years of getting back to form.  I have high hopes for klay but this year will probably be a wash for him.

But Klay's gameplay is different from PG and DRose.

There's no need for much movement on Klay's gameplay, the catch, and shoot. Different to PG and DRose that always slashing their way into the hoop that needs more athleticism and body movement.

His shooting is just needed. No need for that nasty drives and Milo best movements.

Bone breaks are much different then acl/mcl issues.  And klay isn't just a spot shooter, otherwise he would be easy to guard.  I'm all for having klay come back but he had two devastating injuries in 2 years to his ligaments.  Bone breaks once they heal they are almost stronger which isn't the case with ligaments

Pretty much out the door right now lol.  I don't know why people like to pick dates and price predictions,it's pretty much impossible to predict long term price goals.  When peoe are wrong no one says anything but when they are right by chance they think they are ms cleo.   Roll Eyes

3459  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin on sale, will the support continues to hold? on: December 04, 2021, 01:46:01 AM
This is a dangerous area now into the $52k's.  And nothing else in the market is holding.  Longs gonna start getting crushed unless the support comes in.  We could be in for an early 2018 type dumpy if this don't stop and rebound.  Either way keep stacking sats and enjoy the ride. 😉
3460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen with eth 2.0. releasing? Lower fee? on: December 04, 2021, 01:39:36 AM
Hi, do you expect big changes after eth 2.0. come, when will that happen?

The thought process is that it will alleviate fees while alleviating network throughput.  I'm still waiting to see it happen.  In crypto I'm not even a trust but verify person.  I'm more I will believe it when I see it, and by see it for awhile without any hiccups.  I know token owners will be waiting for that day  Tongue
