3441  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Brought Bitcoin in 2017 and sold in 2018 on: April 17, 2020, 08:23:36 AM
I have a friend who borrowed money from his colleagues and bought BTC during the bull run last 2017. He was so regretful when the market started dropping down. He's still paying the borrowed amount until now using his salary. He's still hoping that the bull run would happen again soon. It was a wrong move for him to be influenced by the hype during that time but it's a lesson that he will bear until he's done paying his debt. Excitement and greediness could lead us to wrong decisions in life. It's fine to hope for a good gain but we should also consider the market situation.
Yeah, borrowing to gamble and borrowing to invest are two very big mistakes any noob could do. You don't know how well of an investor you are, maybe you will double their money or maybe you will lose all of it, you don't know how good you can be and that is why I think it can't be stressed enough how important it is to only invest with your own money and even with that money you should only invest with money you do not need at that moment, do not go all in with all of your money because it could cripple your finances beyond your imagination if things go south too much.

Just invest with 5% of your monthly income per month and with that you will both have a good investment portfolio over time and you would also never buy at peak and have to wait, you will buy at lower ends and would be easier to profit that way.

I don't think there's an issue regarding on using a VPN for accessing some gambling sites since for the past 5 years of using it I encounter no issue at all, maybe those people who got an issue is those people who abuse and do multiple accounts for cheating the referral and the contest of certain sites. But if users can't take the risk using any IP changer methods then maybe they should stick on the sites which not prohibit their country to gamble.
Privacy could be quite important when you are gambling, who would want to give up their information (even in minimal terms like IP address) while they are doing something on the web, however what you have to realize is the fact that hiding yourself while surfing usually could lead to many questions even when you are innocent.

People would basically be considering what illegal thing you are doing that requires you to keep yourself from everybody and hide your information, maybe even as simple as gambling which we all do is quite illegal where you are so you are trying to hide that maybe? I know that wanting to hide your ID is quite a regular thing to ask for and should be respected, however for some reason people do not really consider that as a valid reasoning.

What is the hiring requirements for stake? I mean I am sure that Caelum is definitely qualified to work at stake, that wasn't my intend when asking, I just wanted to learn what you are hiring and why you are hiring and how you are hiring, so I can learn better and maybe apply myself in the future Cheesy.

It looks like I haven't seen any sort of "hiring" posts made by you so this kind of looks like you already knew who you wanted to hire and nobody else even had a shot, not like we saw any type of job listing from you neither, so you probably just hired him right away because obviously dude has been around for a while and he is known by all chat members which makes sense. Kudos Caelum for the job, I am sure you will do an amazing job and you deserve it, congratz.
3444  Economy / Economics / Re: China’s second corona wave can it crush it’s economy? on: April 14, 2020, 05:45:12 PM
What scares me is not just China having a second wave, that was basically expected because you can't just get rid of a whole virus, plus we didn't really know if china was over it or not, maybe they lied. What scares me is a second wave in other nations, we are basically still peaking right now in many places and only getting started, if these go down for a while but then go up again in other nations as well, that means we are going to see a year of this and not just few more months.

Think about it USA is peaking still today, it will take at least 2 more months before we can start to see it going down decently and after few more months if starts back up and reach to these levels again for 3-4 more months, then it will take another 2-3 months to recover from that which comes down to 2021 and that is a long time to stay at home.
3445  Economy / Economics / Re: US potential Recession and its effect on Cryptocurrency on: April 14, 2020, 05:15:38 PM
Couple days ago, Bloomberg updated their prediction model that they created last year to determine the odds whether USA will plunge into recession within 12 months, and now the chance of a recession stands at 100%, confirming an end to the nation’s longest-running expansion. Since I'm pretty new in cryptocurrency, what's your opinion regarding this related to cryptocurrency, is there any historcial model than can be compared with this kind of events? Will this effect long-term future for Crypto in general?

model: https://www.bloomberg.com/graphics/us-economic-recession-tracker/
That is why sometimes we see bitcoin treated like gold and store of value because it can be a commodity and it can be store of value which is why when things go down it goes up, and sometimes we see it going down with everything else together because it is seen as money as well. So, bitcoin is money AND gold at the same time, it is gold you can spend everywhere, not really a common thing and not really something world is used to so far, which is why it is so volatile and it moves so unexpectedly.

However when recession hits, that usually happens slowly and over time which gives bitcoin enough time to recover even if it falls, so I have no worries there. Lets assume american markets go down and down and down for a long period of time, that is not scary, but if it CRASHES like all of a sudden just like how it did, that would be very bad for bitcoin as well.
3446  Economy / Gambling / Re: ➫ ➬ ➫ ➬ LUCKYB.IT ★★★ The legend is back! ★★★ Bigger and better than ever! ★★★ on: April 14, 2020, 04:31:58 PM
Yeah, hitting those big numbers in any game is a bit always awesome to see, I know that I won't be as lucky as that guy or even if I am that would be like a one off thing and not a common thing otherwise it would hurt the casino quite a lot if someone happen to hit that back to back few days in a row, so I know my odds and I know the chances of that, but whenever I see something like that, it just makes me feel like going for it and try my chances, maybe I would get luck as well?

I am not the one who would withdraw from a casino, whenever I win something that is more bankroll to keep gambling for "free" for me, I see winning as casino giving me more chances to continue gambling without depositing more, so I doubt it would really hurt the casino neither, but I have not been lucky so far, at least not this much.
3447  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is Scalping? on: April 13, 2020, 07:11:39 PM
Like many on here already pointed out, 'scalping' can be prove to be generous stream of income but only works if the market provides the favourable conditions of market volatility, which as we know it it's not an issue. The real issue, though is at the user end because to practice this strategy you need to have the time and for me the stress level isn't worth the trouble. Nonetheless, for some this can be a decent option.
Never expect market to be your companion to provide you all the cushions for favoring with your directions. But always expect the unexpected things to happen which means scalping never will be fitting to be an stream of income. Still, if you want to adopt it so, then bitter lessons will tech you how stupid you are for considering the highly dangerous way for generating income.

There are lots of easier way of trading strategies are available especially for trading cryptos but definitely scalping cannot be one of them. Scalping is good for highly fluctuating markets but cryptos have its own way of trading to get enormous profits and this is the reason why many people are not at all suggesting scalping.
3448  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Compliance exchange or decentralized exchange, which one do you prefer? on: April 13, 2020, 06:29:51 PM
You might be right about exchanges not really being too secure but do not forget that everything has a chance to be hacked no matter what you use. Dex exchanges have been known to get hacked as well and even tho it didn't really withdrew people's money, it was used to pump and dump so basically it was stolen but in a more indirect way.

Even your own computer could be hacked if people know you store it there, so there is nothing that you can do to stay away from the hacks and security issues, as long as it is digital there is a way to hack it. Which is why compliance exchanges are still far better because you are giving them the power but also held them responsible for them as well, they are taking the risks involved in return of their profits in a way.
3449  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲EarnBet.io - $50 FREE Bitcoin Sign Up Bonus Right Now! 🎲Provably Fair 🎲BTC ₿ on: April 12, 2020, 06:54:27 PM
Well, adding a new coin is a tough task considering you guys already have a lot of great coins yourself already added to the website. You guys have bitcoin, eos, ethereum, ripple, litecoin, BCH and BNB right now which are all the big ones already and that is a good base to actually have a website to have. If you really want to add something, I would say DOGE could be a good addition, I know doge is not really high on rankings but fortunately DOGE is a very gambling friendly coin that is used in many gambling websites right now.

The feeling of betting 5000 of something without really spending too much must make some people feel happier than betting 0.00001 or something, which is why DOGE is a bit famous in many casinos. Other than that I don't really know any other that you would need.
I second the motion here. He was right that if you were to add a coin, none other than DOGE, that would be the only option. That's one of the coins that almost goes with bitcoins when it comes to growth. It may not even be seen in the high market cap rankings, but it is one of the popular and used gambling betting tools. So it can't be lost on choices.
Yeah, doge seems to be the obvious choice but I guess allowing people to vote with their money and not with their mouth would be basically a lot better if you ask me.

Just make some sort of dice game or whatever where you can pick your team, allow people to have multiple coin options that earnbet is considering to add, one of them could be doge, then everyone will pick a team and continue to gamble under that teams banner, at the end of the competition we will see which team gambled the most and that way they could know which team has the most money to wager and not just people who say "this would be good" "that would look awesome" and so forth but actually have people with money backing up their option. Of course that could be a development nightmare so I guess it won't happen.
3450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What matters to grow the price of an Altcoin on: April 12, 2020, 02:05:30 PM
Marketing and finding as many people as you can interested to your project is the most important part of any coin. Sure you need to have a good coder, good manager, good designer and basically good everything but without proper marketing whatever you do will not really worth to anything.

As long as people do not hear about what you are doing, they will not really buy your coin neither, because they don't even know it exists, so the best case you have towards becoming a very good and high priced coin is for people to buy it and in order to buy it you have to let them know you are building something amazing, which is what marketing people do. If I had money to build a coin I would put 50% of all funds into marketing and 50% to everything else honestly.
3451  Economy / Speculation / Re: Have look at the Bitcoin Latest update on: April 12, 2020, 10:49:11 AM
Do not forget that things could change in bitcoin world very very quickly, just because the charts are saying one thing doesn't mean bitcoin won't do another, with that in mind this looks like maybe not going to happen anytime soon and people realized that going over 7.5k quickly would be a murder on bitcoin price which is why they are holding it back for a while until we are more ready to go above. Think about it what would you pick if you were offered "bitcoin at 8k today but under 6k tomorrow" or "bitcoin around 7k or a bit less today but longer term above 8k"?

I would pick the second one for sure without a doubt and many people are doing that right now as well. It just makes more sense to get ready right now instead of risking what we have worked so hard for.
3452  Economy / Speculation / Re: Let's be safe about Bitcoin Trading on: April 12, 2020, 09:51:29 AM
I understand that anyone could have their own analysis and I love reading about other people trying to research and find how they could actually predict the price of bitcoin, that is not a bad thing at all even if you are wrong! Because it helps people to realize what others think when something happens and that is a very important part of bitcoin trading, knowing what other people are thinking.

However you literally gave out ZERO information about your analysis, it would be awesome if you could give a better an deeper analysis and use your words to explain to people what you are thinking going on right now and why it would mean the price will fall in the near future, that way we will not only know what your prediction is, but we will also know why you predicted and how you predicted that as well.

Holy fucking shit!!

Lol. Yeup happened to me before too, I think I even mentioned it somewhere here a few weeks/months back. I've never hit more than the 3rd tier prize, BUT I have seen 8888 and 0000 on freeroll. So I have not hit 9994 to 10000. That is at least 7 numbers I have never hit in freeroll!
Hitting 00000 could be as challenging as hitting 10k honestly, that is equally rare to hit but the game is designed that way so that you are required to hit higher numbers and not lower and 00000 is the lowest you can get so you are technically doing something very rare but also you reached the worst possible bet ever Cheesy.

If you guys think 8888 or stuff like that are more plausible and you think you can take advantage of it, there is always gambling, plus while you are gambling there is so many thing going on as well, from free reward points to free tickets to increasing freeroll to getting more wagering amount later (with condition of rollover of course) and getting lambo tickets as well. So you can not just try to get 10k but you can take advantage of 00000 as well.

For example, I bet 1 satoshi on <50, then how many times can there be winning numbers >50? I bet <50 and after each loss, I doubled the bet, a total of 11 times the winning numbers were >50 and I lost most of my funds
Few days back I have one of my few unluckiest day in life as I lost 23 rolls in a row and all my balance on freebitco without any serious recovery option so my worst number is 23 which start from 1000 satoshies and then end 0.0012 my last bet and win never arrive on this balance.
23 throws in a row is a lot, I did not expect that there could be so many. Probability theory does not seem to work in this case. I think there is no scheme thanks to which one could constantly win. You just need to play and have fun, and earn elsewhere
I think you can separate the individual odd and the total losses as well when talking about things.
Just to explain it this way, if you ask me "if I get 20 losses in a row at 50% then what is the chance of me losing the 21st one as well?"

I would still say 50% and not a single more because every single bet is individual that way, however if you ask me "what are the odds of getting 20 losses in a row at 50%" then I may say lower because we are not talking about a future bet, we are not talking about one single bet, we are talking about a whole block there.

Plus you getting 20 losses in a row is more rare if it is your first 20 bets of the session, but it would be quite common and actually expected as well if you gambled like 50k rounds so far, the more you play the more chances of you getting win and loss streaks.
3456  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: TOP 6 RULES IN CRYPTO TRADING on: April 10, 2020, 01:14:42 PM
Before you join the game you have to learn about the game and know how it works, when you don’t know how it works, you joining the game is of no need, you have to be quite sure of what you’re getting into and also check stories of those that have been into and get some clues, so that you will be very sure of what you’re getting into.

Your second point is 100% right. I’m even surprise that I still see a few stories of people who say they bet their whole money on it Lips sealed it makes wonder if these people really know what they are doing. How do you bet everything on something that you’re not very sure of. Anyone that tries that and lose their money will end up regretting. It’s always best to start small and grow.
3457  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why not decentralized exchange..? on: April 10, 2020, 12:42:02 PM
The owners of decentralized exchanges don’t put much effort in promoting their songs, I don’t know if it’s because they are not benefiting much or what, but centralized exchanges are always hell serious with promoting their sites and lots of people, especially newbies, are likely to come across their sites and make use of it.

Another thing that I think is causing Centralized exchanges to be gaining popularity is their ease of use; Coinbase is one of the easiest any one can use in trading cryptocurrency of their choice. It’s not as difficult as when you’re using a decentralized exchange.

Thanks to everyone who participated, lots of great answers!!
Our winner for today is @nuuuitsjdragon!!
Congratulations, keep an eye out on Stake for your prize 🤑
Honestly the prize for this one looks huge, maybe not so much to people who already have a lot of money, but to consider that this is for free and its a giveaway, it is a HUGE amount. I wish I had talent for stuff like this so I could join up as well but I literally have zero photoshop skills so I will leave it to people who are much better than me to try their best and just enjoy the results and check who won and so forth.
Stake has always done huge giveaways, think about all the things they do not have to give and they still do, mainly look at the races for example, they have no reason to do races because people will gamble there no matter what but they still do it, and they give away some part of their house edge while doing it, or maybe they even make a loss during races but make it up from the other times I wouldn't know.

They have always been a great giver, the marketing team may not be as awesome as some of the other ones but they are definitely keen on give money away for one way or another, this one was just too much, whenever you are required to play to get something that is one thing, but when you do not need to spend a single dime yet still make money, that is always huge.
3459  Economy / Economics / Re: Oil price War will Bring real War soon in Middle east on: April 07, 2020, 11:36:01 AM
Let's hope it doesn't go too further ahead because they do have a lot of money and a lot of people who are willing to die as well because that is their homeland and some people who are willing to just run away which in return all of it will cause a destabilization. Look at Syria right now for example, there was one thing that happened which was bad, which lead to something else that was worse and that all snowballed into a whole nation basically being horrible and millions of people all moving to different nations instead of staying at home.

If the big Arabic nations all go to war with each other, that may cause even more people to run away, we are talking about 10+ million people who live in different nations. That is not something that could be sustained, the current Syrian refugee situation is hard work as it is, with 10+ million people coming the same way would ruin all nations economies.
3460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you really think news can change the Crypto Market Sentiment very easily? on: April 07, 2020, 08:18:22 AM
Depends on how big the news is and how well it is received and cared about in the crypto community.

Of course, news do play a part in bitcoin but do not forget that half of the time people do not even care about it and it is the people who buy and sell this that causes the price to fall, in stock markets a company could make a lot of profits which will result with price of its stock going up, if not it would be undervalued, same when they make a loss as well, in crypto the only thing that makes it go up or down is how people perceive the price.

This means news could affect it depending on people really caring about what the news says, I would say global level type of stuff like corona for example do of course impact it but when it is "some famous crypto guy said this" type of small news it doesn't really change anything.
