3441  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ways to recover from being addicted in gambling. on: March 13, 2020, 11:26:46 PM
There are so many gamblers in this virtual world or even in the real life, there are some that can be considered as a compulsive gambler or those really addicted in gambling. That is the worst thing that you may acquire in gambling, in which that all the things that you are usually doing are now nothing, you are only focused on gambling, even your relationships on your friends and family are affected.

I want to help those people who really abused by the gambling, let me list down all possible solution that they may use to recover from being addicted in gambling.
1. Focus on your family or friends - if you have strong relationship with your family and friends then you will forget to play gambling, and they may help you to limit yourself from gambling.
2. List all things that were affected by gambling - if you can see all the things that were affected because of gambling then you may realize that it has no goods to give you, then I hope that it makes you think to stop gambling.
3. Read and Search about gambling addiction - if you can see all people that have been affected because of gambling then you may stop from being addicted on it, there are some people's life that already destroyed because of gambling.
4. Meet and visit experts or professionals about mental health - If you really want to limit yourself from gambling, but you can't then you may visit some experts and listen to their advise.

Yeah, nice points you got there. But, you really need to put the fourth point on the top. You can't just magically start focusing on your friends/family and recover yourself from gambling addiction. For this to happen, you will need professional help. Those professional will advice you on how to recover from gambling addiction. They will guide you on a proper way without causing any kind of harm to your life.
Realizing that they are addicted to gambling is actually the first step of recovering from gambling addiction.
3442  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: COVID-19: Avoid casino, play online on: March 13, 2020, 11:18:31 PM
COVID-19 is still spreading all over the world, there are so many people affected by the virus, there are a lot of people who can not work anymore because of being afraid to go outside.

We should do something to prevent COVID-19 from spreading to each and everyone, if we want to play gamble, please do not go outside and find any nearest casino building just to play. I know that real life casino is better when playing because we can interact to anyone and we can also feel the ambiance of the real life casino but as of this moment, it is better to play online gambling than real life casino, it is better for you to stay at home to avoid contact to many people.

Let us help each and everyone, by simply obeying our authority by staying at home, do not go outside. Let us start stopping the virus, it will all start with ourself.
Yeah, this is what they will have to do. Most of the countries out there has closed down everything and put a ban on mass gathering. So highly likely casinos will remain closed or people won't visit those casinos due to fear of contacting the virus. They won't have any other option but to gamble online.
Gambling on a crypto currency based casino will actually make things easier for them while compared to using fiat currency.
3443  Economy / Economics / Re: Coronavirus is very harmful to fiat currencies, not bitcoin on: March 13, 2020, 11:09:46 PM
Have you seen how governments responded to the corona virus?

Quite simply, in Italy, the US and elsewhere, they will increase their budget deficit, and add debt. In my understanding, that's very bad for fiat currencies, while BTC will remain unaffected, thanks to the lockdown on money supply.
Like in what terms will bitcoin remain unaffected? If you are talking about the price, then I am sorry you are wrong. Look at the price. It is already completely drowning deep with the whole market bleeding red very badly. Most people here use crypto currency as a store of value, not as a currency that can be used as a day to day transaction. The way corona virus has affect the price of stockmarket, is completely similar to the way it affected the crypto market.
3444  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don't Panic Yet, Bitcoin Analysis. on: March 13, 2020, 10:59:22 PM
The thing is , we haven't yet reached the Halving and sooner or later the price is going to climb up really fast and panic selling would only make things worse for you , you will loose money and at the same time you will feel real bad when you see the price climb up.
The good thing is things will pass , you just got to have patience and stop looking at the price of bitcoins time and again .
This just makes situations worse.
Just calm down and hold for long time.
Yeah, the halving is the only reason the price hasn't crashed even deeper. There are people out there that believes that the halving will eventually cause the price to rise and might also even help to achieve a new all time high. But the worse part would be when people see the price not rising even after the halving. The dumping of the price would be real bad then. People would end up dumping their investment out of frustration. So let us just hope nothing like this happens after the halving.
3445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too good to be real projects on: March 13, 2020, 10:51:25 PM
Becareful of fake promises from new projects, some use cases can never be possible on blockchain and many don't know this, I've neglected some projects because of this, why are investors fooling themselves? The warning that says ' stay away from offers that are too good to be true' is not entirely talking about profits only, sometimes it's more than that, how can we be promised that a city will use A.I technology when no single A.I project is successful in crypto space? Be wise fellas, some things will never work on blockchain, at least not this time
Yeah, most of the projects are "all talk" and nothing else. Its not about the project being "impossible" to implement. It is more about how the developers abandon the project without even trying to develop. If a project fails even though the developers tried their best and worked hard day and night, I would never call that project a scam project. At least the developers tried. Project where the developers run away with the investors money are the scam projects.
Though I still suggest others to avoid all those new hyped project, because most of them are likely scam and investing on those projects mean you will be encouraging more of those scams.
3446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is a Crypto Wallet, Do You Need One? on: March 13, 2020, 10:36:44 PM

First and foremost, not only traders stores cryptocurrencies, every users in the crypto space, be it an investor, holder or trader can easily store their desired cryptocurrencies. A crypto wallet is like a savings account with private keys, mnemonic phrases etc which is used to store cryptocurrencies; in this case, the private keys gives the creator of such wallet complete and personal access to the account. In addition, every user in the crypto space needs a crypto wallet.
Also, there are many multi-purpose wallets or multi-coin wallets nowadays, that is, wallets which can be used to store various coins be it Ethereum, Bitcoin and so on, these wallets are Enjin wallet, Atomic wallet, Trust wallet and so on. Therefore whether the person is a newbie, an investor or trader, with these wallets they can find their way around the crypto space. In the same way, it is important to know how to save the private keys of wallets and good a thing most wallets makes it mandatory to save or note down the mnemonic phrases etc before creating the wallet.
I wouldn't call a crypto wallet a "savings account". The term itself is kinda misleading in many ways. A savings bank account contains your savings in the account, but in case of crypto currency wallet, the coins itself aren't inside the wallet. The wallet only contains the public and private keys that lets you make transactions and verifies you as the owner.
Not sure how much secure multicoin wallets are, but would always recommend using wallets provided and suggested by the developer of the coins themselves. Avoid using third party wallets with no reputation. Or a wallet where you don't have access to your own private keys.
3447  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What To Do? (For People Who Mostly Gamble on NBA Games) on: March 13, 2020, 10:25:10 PM
So what do you do nex?,  now that NBA has canceled some of the games this season? Will you just also  get a hold of being a gambler for the meantime? Or try another sports?
Well, they probably can try some other sports. This might be a good chance for them to try out something new. They may find a new sport to gamble on and might end up enjoy gambling on those sports. Or yeah, they can take a break from gambling for a while. But I doubt gamblers who gamble on NBA games only place bets on those games. High chances they also gamble on some other sports too. But due to this outbreak, I guess most of the sports will be postponed, so they might not have any sports to gamble on.
3448  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's price, and mental health. on: March 13, 2020, 10:00:34 PM
That's stupid decision someone could ever take. It's true that it's a hell lot of depression when you see your portfolio has decreased to half of the total within 1 day but that must never be ended with ruining the beautiful life.
I have seen my alt investment to lose 90% too. I don't care. Everyone should have a life outside this.
So you jump to a conclusion saying its a "stupid" decision? You don't even know that person or what he is going through. The amount of money that person has lost might be nothing to you but it might be a lot for him. You don't care probably because it won't be affecting you as much as it would have affected the person who killed himself. The person who committed suicide probably had no other options. Probably he was in such a situation where he thought giving up his own life would be better than suffering.
I am not supporting suicide, but just don't call a persons decision to take life "stupid" without knowing what the person was going through.
3449  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Bitcoin has an identity crisis now? on: March 13, 2020, 09:39:25 PM
First the dominant narrative was that Bitcoin brings a financial revolution and soon the whole world will abandon fiat and use it instead. Then, the problems with scaling started to arise the narrative shifted to store of value and digital gold. Now Bitcoin had its first test as those things and it failed it miserably with 50% crash.

So, how will we justify its value in the future? Cross-border payments? Go back to its roots - immutability and personal freedom? Or maybe Lightning Network will bring back the hopes of a widely adopted currency?

What do you think the people will be saying in the near future and what you personally believe in?
Yeah, bitcoin was made to be used as a regular currency that can be used to make payment for our day to day transactions. Unfortunately, it wasn't suitable (you don't want to be waiting for more than 10 minutes for confirmation of your transaction just to buy a cup of morning coffee) to be used as a regular currency replacing fiat. Thus, people realized that it can be used as a store of value, which will reward user greatly in the long run but with more risks in short term investment.
Bitcoin might have identity crisis, but do keep this in mind it is the currency that gave birth to other altcoins and the idea of blockchain.
3450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The best time to fill the bag? on: March 13, 2020, 06:48:07 PM
There is an almost disturbing downward change in the market price of cryptocurrency, and this is a general problem. Bitcoin as biggest cryptocurrency is taking a huge hit and it is spreading over to even major altcoins like BCH, stellar, litecoin and other promising ones such as Matic, Elrond, Vite etc.

Regardless of the negatives that people have about crypto in general, there has been many bears like this and the market has come back up. I strongly believe that the market will definitely come back green and that now is the time to fill the bag and acquire these coins on the low.
If you look at the past history and charts, you will see that the price of crypto currency has fallen many times. The price gets affected badly when there is someone sort of world crisis going on. This problem eventually gets solved and everything starts to recover. The same thing is going to happen in case of bitcoin. When everything gets stable, we will see the stock price going up along with the price of bitcoin. So yeah, now is the perfect time to invest on crypto currencies.
3451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: More Damages to Crypto Market on: March 12, 2020, 10:38:23 PM
If this Coronavirus of a thing continues like this then do not expect anything good from Bitcoin halving in May or after May because it seems Bitcoin will keep going down from now on, damn no one saw this coming either way, I never expected a new virus to change the fate of Bitcoin and crypto market this year, the very year I've been waiting for, so sad  Undecided
It is not only bitcoin that is taking the hit. Almost every altcoin are also dropping red and are in a far more worse condition. Look at the stock market also. Its all red. None of us expected this to happen, but yeah, it did end up happening. This is why we all say the crypto market is unpredictable.
Well, there are still more than two months left before the halving takes place. This might change during this time (since the market is unpredictable). So it is better to start investing now instead of regretting later Wink.
3452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ENG good to invest ? on: March 12, 2020, 10:25:07 PM
Hi guys
do u think ENG good to invest ?
https://www.binance.com/en/trade/ENG_BTC
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/enigma/
u think it can go higher to +6000 sat ?
Never heard of this coin. But yeah, no one can predict whats going to happen to the price of the coin in the future. If everyone could predict where the price would go next, then everyone would end up being rich (or the event wouldn't even take place in the first place and something else might happen since people will be preparing for themselves causing the event that was about to take place to change). Again, people that have invested on that coin might be giving you biased suggestion so that you also invest on that coin no matter how shit that coin is.
You will be investing your own money. You will be risking your own money. So analyze the coin and follow your own instinct instead of taking random peoples suggestions.
3453  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: **TAKE YOUR COINS OFF EXCHANGES** on: March 12, 2020, 10:19:49 PM
So your main reason to not keep coin on an exchange is to cause shortage in an exchange and cause a bull run? Lol. This shouldn't be the primary reason. The reason why people shouldn't store their coins in an exchange wallet is because the online exchange wallets are never safe. They are always prone to hacks. Moreover, since you don't have access to the wallets private key, this means that the coins does not belong to you. Again, if the exchange goes down, there is not way you will be able to access those coins without the private key.
3454  Economy / Speculation / Re: Let's stop PANIC SELLING Bitcoin on: March 12, 2020, 09:54:41 PM
I was shocked when I saw the price today. I understand that COVID-19 is hitting the economy and other things really hard right now, but there are objective reasons for that. Businesses don't get customers due to various restrictions and bans that are being introduced. Bitcoin, however, is not supposed to be affected by the spread of the virus at all! Trading in mainly done online anyway, Bitcoin transactions don't put anyone at risk, and nobody's printing more Bitcoin to help local businesses and important initiatives to survive in these difficult times! The only thing that can get affected is mining, but mining also isn't a major price-forming factor, is it? So it's clearly more due to people panicking and selling all sorts of assets along with their BTC. I think that Bitcoin could actually help to save wealth (for the reasons I've mentioned above) but it won't be able to if we make it bleed even harder!

What's your stance on this one? Are you planning to sell BTC given the situation? Or do you think it's better not to?
I'm not going to sell unless I need money for something specific which cannot be bought by BTC yet.
How did you come to a conclusion that bitcoin mining isn't a major price forming factor? You probably know nothing about the price. In fact, mining plays a very important factor in case of price forming. If mining becomes extremely expensive, bitcoin will also start to rise in value. Since less miners will be there, which means less coins (though the difficulty will eventually be adjusted) being produced. Again, this might also drive people away from using bitcoin if confirmation time increases due to network congestion.
There is nothing to be shocked about. This was bound to happen, the price drop. Look at the stock markets also. Its all green.
3455  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can porn sites make bitcoin more popular or will it brings negative effects? on: March 12, 2020, 09:44:36 PM
As we all know, porn sites are at the top which are frequently visited by people in the internet world. So in my opinion if a porn site accepts
payments with bitcoin it will make bitcoin more popular and used by many people.Because transactions on porn sites we need privacy and
bitcoin can provide a solution. But on the other hand we have to admit porn sites can make the image worse in the eyes of some people.
So in your opinion, if a porn site accepts payments with bitcoin can make bitcoin more popular or will it be dangerous for the future of bitcoin
because it brings negative effects?

Keep that in mind that bitcoin does not make you anonymous. Bitcoin is more like pseudonymous. Google the term and you will understand what I am talking about. A person can still find out who made the transaction if somehow the wallet address can be linked to some information about the user. It is also not that hard to find out to whom the bitcoin was sent to.
I don't see anything wrong with porn sites starting to accept bitcoin. Though I doubt it is going to have a huge impact on the world of crypto currency.
3456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHY THE BLAME ON BOUNTY HUNTERS FOR SHITCOINS? on: March 11, 2020, 11:14:43 PM
From observation, most people who are bounty hunters are also investors themselves. In any case, the two groups almost have the same interest and that is to maximize profit on their token holdings. It is just two sides of one coin issue. It all depends on the individual involved because we have bounty hunters who hold coins longer than those who invested with their funds. It is about time  people act fair in their comments towards bounty hunters anytime a coin becomes a shit coin. By the way even in recent times, bounty hunting is not as attractive as it used to be, but still people are always quick to put blame on bounty hunters after a failed project meanwhile the tokens received bounty are very meagre to kill a project.
Aren't they to be blamed to some extent? The bounty hunter chose to work for those shit/scam project just for the money. They saw that the project was offering some lucrative bonus and offers to the bounty hunters and the hunters just jumps into the train without even analyzing the project properly. They advertise and promotes for the scam project, thus making most of the investors fall for those scam. So, yeah, they are to be blamed some what for encouraging those scam projects to continue.
3457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you stop gambling in a time of crisis? on: March 11, 2020, 11:11:09 PM
I guess you mean't at the time of financial crisis, right? Well I guess most of the people who aren't addicted to gambling stops gambling for a while when they are facing financial difficulties. That is actually the most sensible thing to do. But, I guess those who are addicted to gambling, they end up using all they have to gamble. They start taking loans from people, uses other peoples money by lying to them to gamble. They end up making everything worse and starts to destroy their life beyond recovery.
3458  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Physically vs Gambling Online Using Crypto on: March 11, 2020, 11:02:19 PM
-snip

1. Gambling using bitcoin is fast, you can deposit amount, withdraw your funds, faster than other platforms available.
2. When you are gambling, one thing you consider is your anonymity, and with bitcoin, you can play no matter who you are, with you identity isn't at risk.
3. Games from cryptocurrencies are probably fair, you can guarantee that you can win with a 50/50 chance.

And in addition, based on my experience, gambling through cryptocurrency allows you to play even without a fund deposited because of some gambling platforms allows players to use faucets so if you are not a hardcore gambler, then you don't need to worry about putting much amount just to play.
-snip-
1. The "fast" deposit and withdrawal depends on the bitcoin network. If the network is packed, it will take more time (or more fee) than usual. Most casinos won't accept deposits that have less than 2 confirmation. That means, when the network is congested, you have have to wait for more than 40 mins for the required confirmation to take place (or pay huge fee to get higher priority).
2. Most of the crypto casino now requires you to verify your identity at least at some point.
3. You mean provably fair, right? Its not probably fair lol. And also, its never 50/50 chance. The casino has house edge which means that chance of the casino winning is in the long run is always high.

Faucets are there to test out the casino, not for farming it.
3459  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China will bring up the Blockchain Engineering Bachelor. on: March 11, 2020, 10:44:59 PM
That is actually a good news. Just one (not so well known university) has decided to bring in a bachelors degree on blockchain. So I guess other universities will follow the footstep and well known universities will also start including blockchain as a recognized field of education. Since the government and Chinese ministry of education has approved this, the universities will add it as soon as possible. At this least this shows that China is serious about blockchain and might want to one day dominate this field.
3460  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you borrow money as your bankroll if you trust your skills in gambling? on: March 07, 2020, 01:58:59 PM
If you are thinking about borrowing money from your friends in order to gamble, then I would suggest you not to. Even if you are a skilled gambler, never gamble with other peoples money. You are putting both yourself and the other persons financial aspects to risks. Even if you want to gamble with their money, let them know that you are taking a money loan from them just to gamble. I doubt they will hand you over their money or will at least hesitate a lot. Don't gamble at all if you can't afford to. That's the simple rule everyone should follow.
