i dont think so,its too quickly to judge that faucet are bad for bitcoin for now,i think faucet just losing their popularity and user. many bitcoin user or seeker,leave faucet..this is probably som of reason why faucet is leaved :
- bitcoin price going up,faucet just give a little free bitcoin.
- bitcoin seeker need more bitcoin,and they found other way to earn it.
- many faucet close their website for many reason.

active spend bitcoin or not,it depend your own country,of course if my country or your country accept and many store on that country accept bitcoin,it will easy to spend your bitcoin daily,active as you use your money to pay your requierment,but the other way if bitcoin not accept in your country or in you town,it will hard to be spend your bitcoin,daily..

there are many reason to stopping people from using bitcoin,and some of it :
- Boring,some people may bored with bitcoin,they have no more effort to earn and transaction with it.
