I'm happy for the Clippers, I thought they will lose in game 3 as they had a bad start, a good thing they keep attacking and they are effective on that.
Leonard and Paul George are still the top scorers for the team and good thing that Paul George did not settle a lot on 3 point shooting.

2-1 now, maybe 2-2 in game 4.
3442  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: May 28, 2021, 09:58:03 PM
@Questat. how do you convert that odds into american odds or asian odds?

I'm a little bit confused right now.

1/1 is equal 100%, while 2/1 is 200% if divided.  Undecided

You can use this calculator https://www.aceodds.com/bet-calculator/odds-converter.html

The computation you made seemed right, but there was an error in the article, instead of 2/1, that should be 1/2 which is equivalent to 1.5 (decimal) or -200 (American).

Thanks, it's easy to convert the odds using such a calculator. We will try to look for another source regarding the odds, it might be a typo error.

This site https://www.foxsports.com/boxing/results?id=259 is more accurate but it does not provide the odds yet, so maybe that betting odds is not really accurate, otherwise, we will see another source that tells the same.

Until we see it in a legit sportsbook, that betting odds is just always a prediction.

This fight is scheduled on August, maybe it's too early for the odds to get listed and it's not as big as the Pacquiao vs Spence Jr. Fight, so we have to wait.
3443  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr on Aug 21 in Vegas on: May 28, 2021, 09:27:21 PM
That's a hell of an odds for Manny, bet $1000 and you'll get $3000 in return, would you skip that guys?

I don't think that these odds are going to remain the same for more than a couple of days. As more and more fans of Pacquiao make their bets in his favor, the sportsbooks will be forced to adjust their odds. And we saw this happen during Pacquiao vs Thurman as well. Initially Pacquiao was an underdog as per betting odds, but then he rapidly narrowed the gap and eventually Pacquaio was placed with better odds when compared to Thurman. And the results also justified the adjustment in the odds.

I saw the same on Thurman fight, in the opening odds, Thurman was the favorite but it was flip when the fight schedule was approaching. However, I think this one is quite different as Spence Jr. is a heavy favorite and in terms of standing, Spence Jr. is ahead over Thurman. I would not mind actually if the odds would not change, this is good for me as I'm a fan of Manny and I will certainly put my bet on him.

I would not expect the odds will change here, I believe people are just too convinced that Spence is too much for money at his age. Maybe if he is at 30+ he will be a slight favorite here, but challenging a champion at 42 years old, there's a lot of proving to be done by Pacquiao here, or in short, he needs to shock the boxing world again.

Yeah, bad for participants but that is not unusal situation in bounty campaigns. I had many similar dissapointments but cant do nothing.

Yes, it's not but it's quite unusual for a successful project to scam its bounty hunters.
They have already what is needed to grow, listed in good exchanges and they ruined their reputation, what really is their plan?

STC is not new, they have been here for a few years and end up scamming the bounty hunters, this is very disappointing.

they have no problem with the liquidity as you can see https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/student-coin/markets/
3445  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Donaire vs Oubaali - May 29 on: May 28, 2021, 11:36:17 AM
Would it really help him?

Nonito Donaire says long layoff a blessing in disguise

Quote
NONITO Donaire Jr. doesn’t think the long layoff would work against his bid to regain a piece of the world bantamweight championship.

Instead, the five-division world champion felt the rest recharged his 38-year-old body ahead of his fight against Nordine Oubaali of France on Sunday (Manila time) for the World Boxing Council (WBC) 118-lb title belt.

Donaire, 38, last fought in November of 2019 when he lost via unanimous decision to unbeaten Japanese Naoya Inoue in a highly-competitive unification bout,

“The layoff will not be a factor at all. The time off helped me out,” he said during the final presser for the 12-round title bout on Thursday in Carson, California.

Donaire was impressive against Inoue though he loses, this is another undefeated fighter, hence it should be a huge challenge for him.
3446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 28, 2021, 11:04:46 AM
Games tomorrow.

New York at Atlanta -4
Brooklyn at Boston +7.5
L.A. Clippers at Dallas +2

Do the Clippers still have a chance to win here. After losing 2 games, I'm curious why they are still the favorites to win.

New York at Atlanta -4
This should be a great game, maybe Hawks will win but if it's a close game, it should be nice to see betting on the road team.
3447  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Denver vs Blazers series odds if Denver win game 3. on: May 27, 2021, 09:57:26 PM
I'm gonna know the odds today, after game 3 I would know, but it's too late, since I didn't get any answer here, I decided to just put the bet on Denver Nuggets to win the series with 2.44 odds, and they'll win, I would take the 44% profit, and no risk if they lose. That's easy, right?
3448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Donaire vs Oubaali - May 29 on: May 27, 2021, 09:39:43 PM
Since most here, roots for Donaire despite being the underdog, including me, how about leveling up your risky bet on him.

Not just the @3.x odds for Doinaire winning the match but you can also consider putting on either;

- Donaire winning by KO @5.x and
- Donaire winning by the decision by @6.x.

It's a one-time big-time bet and surely everyone will be happy if Donaire will able to upset his opponent.

Thanks for sharing that odds, it's quite attractive as well, I would not hesitate to put a bet on that, especially the KO as that's where his biggest chance compared to winning in the score card. I believe this is the last fight of Donaire? Correct me if I'm wrong.
3449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: YOUR FAVORITE GAMBLING? on: May 27, 2021, 09:24:18 PM
Crash game is one of my favorites but it's just for fun as I know I can't win in the long run.

My all-time favorite is sports betting because I believe that I can be serious here with some serious chance of winning. There are people who are making a living in sports betting but not on games like crash and dice, you're only chance of winning on those kinds of games is just pure luck.
3450  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr on Aug 21 in Vegas on: May 27, 2021, 01:15:18 PM

I'm doubtful that Pacquiao can land a K.O., but damn sure that he can still last 12 rounds of non-stop boxing with a man 10 years younger than him.
That would be a big win by him if he can make it, Spence needs to KO Pacquiao if he wants to win in the decision, in terms of technique, Manny should win by the judges score that's why it's important Spence should be the one who is the aggressor.

The fight between Pacquiao vs Thurman is still fresh in my mind, I don't really see something special on Spence aside from his strength but if it's based on strategy, most likely Pacquiao will get the victory.
3451  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: May 27, 2021, 01:02:15 PM
@mirakal.. do you think it's nice to parlay this two?

Why not? I'm sure that it will give us a good odds, but we have to wait for a week before we can see if our bet won or not.

Still a long way to go though, I haven't seen any public media day for Casimero and see how he is as far as training goes or even Rigo.  Casimero though is really full of confidence in this fight and for sure will try to go for a ko.

Add more leg in your parlay.

we have 4 fights this year, if you bet on the Filipino fighters, you can parlay the following fighters to win.

1 Nonito Donaire
2 Dasmarinas
3 Casimero
4. Pacquiao
3452  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BTC price VS gambling on: May 26, 2021, 05:01:50 PM
I think online crypto gambling is still doing the same thing even if the market comes hell or high water since there are other crypto options that you can use if you feel like bitcoin isn't worth being used for gambling.
The more bitcoin or the crypto market gets the attention, the more we will see more gamblers playing their money. It's like there's a celebration in the crypto space when there's a bull run, so people will be enticed to gamble, and that makes the gambling business more profitable in a bull run.

Have you heard that Yolodice close business in the bull run? that's because they already made a lot of money and I think the owner is already satisfied.

Yes, they close their gambling site although it's still very popular, they never said they are already rich that's why they close it.

here's their official statement.

3453  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto has become the rich man's playground... on: May 26, 2021, 04:35:39 PM
"rich man's playground" - why not "miners playground" ? They do control all the market. They stop mining and there will be no market. They set huge transaction price and the market would immediately react. Someone switches off one significant miner (like China's government) and there is already a panic. Other set high electricity price and every cryptocurrency owner will feel the results of it. Rich men are only pawn on the desk, they sure play a strategy role, but they dont control the game.

They are rich and they are one of the people who can manipulate the market, if they stop, that will not make the market stop as mining is money, there are still other small miners that will do the job for them. That's why the decentralization thing is very attractive to investors as the market is non-stop 24/7 in operation.
3454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 26, 2021, 03:58:16 PM
I think the Knicks bet is a no-brainer for tomorrow.

They will need to win game 2 or else they will surely be eliminated in the playoffs early.
Also, I think Randle will have a good game in game 2 as they have already read the defense fo the Hawks against him.

So yes, it's a no-brainer, my pick is Knicks -2.
3455  Economy / Gambling discussion / Denver vs Blazers series odds if Denver win game 3. on: May 25, 2021, 01:53:04 PM
I have a series of betting with my friends, I just need to seek some expert advice because I plan to bet online their money so I would not lose. I accepted a series bet now, they are on the Denver with is currently 2.30 in my bookie.

I'm thinking, what if I will not bet it now and wait for the result of game 3.

if the Blazers win, for sure the odds will be x3 or more for the Denver Nuggets. so my plan is, I will bet the half and keep that half as my winning. Whatever the outcome, I already won.

Now, what if the opposite happens?

They have a scam accusation here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5339722.0

That's created by the bounty manager, the team refused to pay the full bounty which is a big amount.
I don't know where this project will go if they can't solve that accusation.

Mark Pingris has already retired in the PBA.

ONE of the pillars of Purefoods’ 2014 grand slam team has just been taken down.

Big man Marc Pingris announced his retirement in the PBA after a colorful 16-year career, highlighted by his major role in helping the now Magnolia Hotshots complete a season sweep of all three conferences seven years ago.

The 39-year-old forward dubbed ‘Pinoy Sakuragi’ made the announcement on his social media platform on Tuesday night.

"16 years na din ako sa PBA pero alam ko na ngayon na ang tamang panahon para umpisahan ang bagong chapter ng buhay ko," Pingris said in a long post in his Instagram account.

We will never forget the Pinoy Sakuragi.

Sad to see that one of the pillars of PBA has officially retired for sure the fans will miss the intensity what pinoh sakuragi can bring in the court. Wishing for him to get a good recognation but unfortunately this will never happen these year since the pandemic still exist in the world. For sure we will miss him play in PBA aswell in FIBA.

I don't feel sad at all, he is not anymore in his prime and he is having some injury problem, and in fact, at his age of 39 years old, I think that is already a retirement age for most PBA players. Well, I hope he will have a prosperous life after PBA, that's all I wish for one of my Idols in the PBA.

I'm so happy playoff basketball is here.  While this season has still been a bit abnormal due to the start time and shortened game schedule, it's nice to be out of the bubble and into what feels like a bit more normal of a playoff situation.  Looking forward to a month of overeating, drinking too much, swearing at various local public televisions and having an all around great time.  It doesn't get too much better than the NBA playoffs.  Don't forget to have fun and surround yourself with some other NBA fans!

That's nice @OgNasty and thanks for the reminder. Actually, I just stayed home right now due to the pandemic, but whatever country we are living in now, there's always a way to enjoy, and I'm enjoying watching the NBA playoffs at home with my relatives and some beers at the table.

happy watching, there are still 3 games that are not concluded yet, all are a good match-up.
3460  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What online betting company you know gave you a b'day present? on: May 22, 2021, 09:24:37 PM
That's interesting, unfortunately, all the sites I'm using do not give a bonus on my birthday, I'm a constant gambler so that might help a bit. However, knowing that 1xBet and their reputation is not good according to my research, I would rather not try that site and stay with the current sites I'm using.

Nevertheless, that is a pretty small amount and probably others will never mind it.

and the reputation of the site matters most.
