You need to remember that the average distance from Earth to the Moon is 384,400 km. I don't know whether in future technology will ma e that much travel viable for metal extraction. Yes, I remember that, but the greatest chunk of cost is associated with getting out of Earth's gravity well, ditto space elevator. Absolutely noone will set foot on the moon (let alone live/work there) until it either becomes a) profitable to do so or b) offers another tremendous advantage (i.e. military or geopolitical).
China already thinks it to be worthwhile. |

There is more titanium OR aluminum in the top several meters of depth of an average square kilometer of the Moon's surface than is mined on the entire Earth each year currently. Also of course iron. Most other forums that I keep an eye on, have been under heavy siege for months. So , are you actually reading or viewing all those links videos from both sides ? I quit! You need to keep an open mind. Sometimes you catch videos that are meant to be supporting protesters, but seem fake, and vice versa. But I am not responding to those two unless someone else responds with any valid concerns. |

Regarding this video, I posted the following (I think it's staged): one could say these guy are no amateurs... Here's my take on this video. (I talked to a friend who served in the army, and he told me that when they did field exercises with blank rounds, that the large amount of fire coming of nozzles was very characteristic): This video (or at least the events) might be staged. Here is what talks for it: 1. From another angle the older men who try to stop the camouflaged people present themselves as former Afghan soldier, and say that everything is under control, yet the guys with weapons press on. The real protesters would not have done so. 2. Journalists are already in place as if they were warned. 3. Journalists and the majority of the present act completely cool when shooting starts. 4. Shooting is most probably is done with BLANK ROUNDS - there is too much fire coming out of nozzles - someone who was in the military told me that blanks tend to do that. 5. The squad strikes several heroic press-ready poses, shoot a lot, but do not move into the building.
Again, this seems to be staged by Kiev coup government to sell to the Western press. This will soon make rounds on BBC, CNN and Faux-News near you, mark my word. |

It was a failed experiment of Stalin's (just like Ukraine is sadly on the way to becoming a failed experiment of Lenin's) There was a joke, saying that the lowest concentration of Jews in the Soviet Union was in the Jewish Republic. For Saami to be there, they'd need to annex a part of Norway. Saami were heavily oppressed in Norway up until recently, with people prohibited to learn and use their language, and being forcefully dispersed throughout the country. The king made a formal apology to them only a few years ago. |

No, it will not fix stuff immediately, but in a multi-national state, with differences of views in different regions a federal state works better. If you don't want to look at Russian Federation, look at Germany, Austria, tiny Switzerland, United States, to name a few. Who wants it? Let it be decided by a referendum, last I checked that what the protesters are asking for. Attempts to isolate Russia have been done before, often before calls to invade and subjugate Russia.
