yes, maybe you are right. nevertheless it will be very interesting to see if and how GOVs are going to react against annon-cryptos.
but as i see it thats a long way down the road and masternodes could very well be hosted not at amazon etc but some safer place.

I'm about to set up a masternode and wanted to ask the guys that do have one:
How do you decouple yourself from your masternode?
My thought were that if the government finds out you have one, the IRS might be interested. They might even accuse you of money laundering or supporting El Qaeda...
Am I just being paranoid?
IMO as long as Darkcoin is mainly still underground and not a widely known Crypto thats not an issue. Gov is far behind imo in terms of legislation etc. Nevertheless i had those thoughts too. Privacy is not illegal! yes, but money laundering is and thats basically what a masternode does. |

Funny btw how nobody cares anymore about the biggest event this year that completely controlled the market for 2 weeks: the price of the sold coins.
100's of posts. It was the most important thing ever. It was the only thing people talked about.
3 days later and nobody gives a shit anymore.
I think its because at the end of the day, the thing that most people care about is the price per BTC. If it would have massively changed the price (positively or negatively), then everyone would still be talking about it. The attention span for events in the crypto world is super short obv. Happy 4th of July everyone!! reason is pretty simple imo. we won't get any price details anytime soon. so its basically a non-event. of course there are good signs like one bidder got it all, but in the end its now just a non-event. |

Can someone give me a hand, I just got into Darkcoin but i tried both new wallets and neither will sync, i tried deleting the peers and other file from the wallets and still wont sync. its def not firewalled and all other wallets work fine. Any ideas?
maybe add some node? choose some ip and add. http://drk.poolhash.org/masternode.html Can you explain how to do that i never had to before. i know where my appdata folder is etc just not sure how to get and ad the nodes to the wallet. goto "help" -> "debug" -> "console" addnode (hereyouinsertIP) add like this exactly? addnode (=218.173.65.159:9999) add then hit enter? (Honestly i think there's something wrong with the chain or the wallet.But i am being paid on the pool i am on.Lol i just cant get it. addnode 218.173.65.159 add |

afaik there will be no enforcement
its all done in one step with RC4 and thats what bothers me a little. if anything goes wrong with RC4, enforcement will be delayed even past RC4 date...
Aaaaaha didn't know that. Good to know that That makes me think.... maybe i am wrong, but thats the latest i heard lets see if some "staff" answers this |

How will they control the number of masternodes if there becomes too many?
Guessing it will be first in first serve but don't know how that could be regulated.
Double MN reward to 40%. But wouldn't raising reward increase node count?  You see where this is going? To the moon. 40% of coins that were mined by miners ? who would mine then the coin ? when almost 1/2 of your work is just taken away ? Is rewarding master nodes, and taking money from the miners the way to go ? lol! you dont get it right? doubling the reward would lead to doubling the MNs. in terms of halving the MNs the reward would have to fall to 10%. another option would be to raise the DRK amount per MN to 2000 DRK who would mine then the coin ? learn the basics of cryptocurrencies. if its not profitable anymore to mine DRK, hashrate would drop and therefore difficulty would drop until a point is reached where its profitable again to mine DRK. so no problem at all. |
