3461  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How to exchange crypto-currency in Malaysia on: May 24, 2020, 05:35:41 AM
When travelling in Malaysia, where can we exchange crytp to ringgit?

Personal trades and bitcoin ATM are the only choices for someone who is not having bank account in Malaysia, as others said you can try localcryptos or Paxful to find someone to deal personally with the escrow offered by the site itself but these kind of transaction is risky so search for ATM as much as possible.
This is what also I can suggest to OP, find ATM's machine that near the place where OP goes. Through the Bitcoin machine, you didn't need to have KYC verification upon selling your Crypto to cash. Here are those Bitcoin machine types that support sell operation. Check first those ATMs I mentioned below before you are planning to travel because sometimes they will disabled sell options.

  • Genesis Coin
  • Robocoin
  • BitAccess
  • General Bytes

Search it here where those ATM located in Malaysia. https://coinatmradar.com/.
Search in the search engine box of what country you want to know where Bitcoin ATM machines located at.
3462  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If War breaks out between China and the US, can China hack Bitcoin? on: May 23, 2020, 02:13:17 PM
IMO, there are two types of war the cold and the hot war and if we're referring to a hot war then Bitcoin has nothing to do with it since everyone will have a life full of fear like doomsday for anyone. Cold war can destroy a country in fact this covid19 can be considered as an attack of china to the US and other countries that causes severe damage to the economy.

The Cold war with regards to hacking Bitcoin and I think it has no great effect nor be beneficial to china for it is still less of the global population are using Bitcoin or cryptocurrency right now. Either hot or cold war that may happen between the US and China will still the people who will bear all the sufferings.

Do you want a free hint? Do you know what “62278” means in his forum name? His birthday date. So dont forget to create a topic on June 22 to congratulate him Wink
You're right, and I sent him a greeting through his thread last year on his birthday and he responded to me.

Ain't know if this is the right thread to greet you a "belated Happy Birthday", (yahoo62278)==>(6/22/1978)
I almost forgot but I think I still have a chance to greet you.
Thank you for the Birthday wishes
So, 1978 minus 2020(at this current year) is equal to 42, his age.
If that his age, at the age of 42, finally!.. mate @yahoo was finally busted with the one he loved. Congratulations to him.

What if yahoo62278 celebrates Christmas on December 25?
Marriage comes at once in our life, celebrating Christmas will repeatedly happen annually. Sometimes we acknowledge the special day that comes once in a lifetime.

Once again Congrats mate @yahoo62278!

3465  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to answer when asked "Can I make money mining bitcoin?" on: May 23, 2020, 12:51:55 PM
You're right on saying "maybe" and my answer is "probably yes", it is possible to mine but if it's going to be profitable then that is the question for there are lots of things to consider first before going into Bitcoin mining business like the electricity cost, types of equipment and so on and so forth. Countries that have not legalized Bitcoin yet it is a different issue that must be deal with because it may be profitable in certain countries who have low electricity cost but mining Bitcoin are still illegal then it will be costly as well when you get caught by the authority. The answers to your question will be base on where you are physically located and where do you plan to do the mining business.

There are too many ways in earning money in Bitcoin mining but some are illegal. In any illegal way of having power supply will put in jail.
  • Legal, Competitive Mining --> You need powerful mining machines and electricity. (recommended)
  • Subsidized Electricity Mining --> Your initiative to create an electricity supply either hydraulic or Solar power. (recommended)
  • Steal Electricity --> Stealing power supply anywhere top sustain the power cost of mining. (not recommended)
Check more here.
3466  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Kremlin vs bitcoiners. on: May 23, 2020, 11:49:43 AM
It's not that simple, we're talking about basically a dictatorship here
This.
This only shows how serious their country when it comes to implementing a law though it may sound unjustifiable, but we aren't the citizens of Russia. But for them or the Russian citizen, they get used to this kind of punishment. Russia is an authoritarian country and if they said something then it must be done it will be really hard for their citizens to get involved in Bitcoins if their government will give this sanctions to law violators.

However, it's still early for us to be alarmed things might still change especially when Putin gets to know the advantages of bitcoin and that some countries have started to embrace it. This is the might reason, " Blow To Bitcoin As Russia Moves To Effectively Ban Crypto ".
3467  Economy / Economics / Re: What would a Crypto-only economy look like? on: May 23, 2020, 11:06:01 AM
People may lose trust in the government but that doesn't mean that the government will cease, it's only the current government and the people who are sitting there that will be replaced for it's in our measure that we always look for someone who will govern and lead us. Probably that makes the church and government as highly structure form of society.

I doubt that when the crypto will replace fiat money it will be smooth and flawless as what it's right now in the economy. For sure when that time comes to the government or any financial institution will have direct authority in it for the government will still be the one who can impose, implement the replacement and prior doing that they will make sure to have a control in any cryptocurrency which they will adopt in their country or globally.
3468  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] BestChange Signature Campaign on: May 23, 2020, 10:44:01 AM
It's a cool design and I remember my hat on this too.

I think the color of the hat should fit the color of the signature too, light green.

It is still the decision of Bestchange team because our avatar wore is the logo/banner design of the company.
3469  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 😃 JAPAN: Feedback on Japanese market with gambling and bitcoin 😃 on: May 22, 2020, 01:22:34 PM
If I'm not mistaken, gambling is illegal in Japan. Isn't that right?
Yes, according to the Penal Code of Japan. All forms of gambling are most banned but there are some exemptions of banning.

Pachinko and poker are classic yet a very popular game therefore I suggest that it will also get a positive response once you include these two games some may be hesitant at first but once they get used to it and feel the thrill or the excitement then it will be passed through words. For Bitcoin adoption, it is really a nice thing and Lightning Network will be the best for me because you may access it anytime or anywhere you want. Probably, the help desk will be an advantage and can create more players for they will know that they will be heard if needed.
3470  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: HODLing is great but why not use Options to insure what you are HODLing? on: May 22, 2020, 12:37:44 PM
Crypto HODLERs are already used to the hedging though the options might be a good trading strategy that may secure traders' Bitcoins and their crypto assets. Hodlers probably not be able to adopt this right away or will intend not to but for me, I really appreciate this as a small traders. I'm afraid of losing the Bitcoin that I have but I know at the same time that in trading I must take the risk to earn profit and this option will at least save some of my bitcoin if an unavoidable situation arises in the market.

However, when traders start to use this option and will post their testimonies that it is really advantageous to use this option when trading then many of the rest will follow this strategy.
3471  Economy / Speculation / Re: Possible to Manipulate bitcoin price?? on: May 22, 2020, 11:49:08 AM
That makes Bitcoin or any financial market trading more challenging and risky because if there are no manipulations from whales who else will be trading since there will be no chance of getting a profit from it. Sad point here is we don't belong to the whales or the big fish who can manipulate the price of bitcoin by pulling in and out their bitcoins to control the price in the market and because of these whales and big fish most of the time became a winner in the end.

However, whales and big fish will not live without small-time traders like us because we serve as the prey for them if they are able to catch us might as well be more careful and earn from them if we succeed.
3472  Economy / Reputation / Re: 2 years - 1miau on: May 22, 2020, 11:22:58 AM
Congratulation mate @1miau of what you had achieved for two years, it supposedly doubled your rank and called 2x Legendary rank because you've got more than 2k merits. You're one of the good contributors in this forum and I don't have doubt of you'd achieved, keep up the good work mate I hope nothing will change. (I hope I can do the same as you even I achieve the Legendary rank after 2 years from now Cheesy )

I also love cat, why those cats look so pretty for me? Cheesy

I like your initiative of giving BTC giveaway through quarterly speculations and we are the same, but this year I stopped because due to pandemic I also need money for my family necessities. Last year I'd Q2 to Q4 Bitcoin speculation giveaways that the same as yours. So lovely.
3473  Economy / Economics / Re: The Reason Bitcoin HODL Will Never End Via Halving on: May 22, 2020, 10:38:18 AM
Just now heard this kind of Law, Moore's Law on Bitcoin but the term HODL isn't new for me.

IMO, I tend to agree that halving has an effect o the Bitcoin's price. However with bitcoin HODL I don't see any direct effect. It is nice to know that with Moore's Law it might give hope to the miners who could have to find halving unremunerative and later may decide to quit mining. With Moore's Law, it has a clear explanation that though halving reduces rewards expenses might go down as well. However, timing and rate may not meet the same time that may still cause some miners to give up instead if rewards will not be able to cope and compensate the expenses on mining.

Thank you for sharing this, it's a very informative thread. I will study this kind of Law.
3474  Economy / Economics / Re: Would nations adopt a DIY approach post covid-19? on: May 22, 2020, 02:56:41 AM
Do It Yourself approach isn't a bad idea at all in fact, it can do some good things for us aside from saving money it can also teach us doing things by ourselves. Though it may affect the people whose income relies on these services and I think since humans are capable of adapting to their environment I'm positive if the DIY approach will be applied after this pandemic then these people can find a  way for their living diverting from one livelihood to another.

Somehow this pandemic can only cause this DIY approach in the meantime but as soon as the vaccine will be discovered then everything will be back to normal same as what they are prior to covid19 excluding the effect in the economy.

And for sure, those businesses that have been resume after the flatten curve result showed, they will experience a "new normal" activity to have precautionary measures. And here in our country that was already implemented, House Speaker, solons file 'new normal' bill.
3475  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The low risky way to hold Bitcoin. Buy Bitcoin now, i can't wait anymore on: May 22, 2020, 02:30:37 AM
I would agree that everyone should buy Bitcoin specially today that the price is going down. But if I may just add, it's easy to buy, but do you have the mental toughness to go long? That's the question that everyone should understand, because it takes a lot of psychology behind being a holder. How will you react if you see your portfolio going down? As for the strategy, well if the OP thinks this is best strategy, then we can't argue and it looks like he laid it down nicely.
I think that was most of the problem of those investors they didn't know how Bitcoin work, they want to have quick profit.
The options of OP, probably bad at all, most traders are already comfortable using USDT for hedging. I understand that options may secure my holdings and I thank you for sharing this for it can also be helpful to those who may appreciate the use of options but the more we insist this thing the more they will resist. Moreover hodlers may somehow get the use of options when they realized the advantages of it.

However, ain't against those who don't want the idea of options but for me it is like additional security for my bitcoins.
3476  Economy / Economics / Re: Fed concerns about US economy are a reminder that economy may never be the same on: May 22, 2020, 01:33:43 AM
IMO, no economy will be exempted from this pandemic regardless if it is a first or third world country. All economies globally are suffering right now and definitely it will be different after the pandemic. Unemployment rate increases in all countries but once the pandemic has gone then people will start to work again and will have enough money to spend that will help economy rise again same as in the US though the damage is really severe in their economy, for sure after the pandemic they will be able to cope again.

If in case there will be a second wave of covid19 that will hit the US I'm pretty sure they'll be more prepare and would be able to handle the situation better than the first wave for each of the countries had learned their lesson and know how to respond in this pandemic if that will happen again which I hope not. And for the Fed I doubt that they'll not prepare for any sudden event like the second wave of covid19 rest assured they already do some presumption on this and how they'll respond if in case it will come to reality.

3478  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: FREEWallet.org stole 55 000$! be careful SCAM on: May 19, 2020, 06:12:47 AM
You can also see that most of these issues were resolved.
Why most of your costumers commonly end up like this?

Selectively scamming people and trap them through KYC verification upon withdrawal?

That's a big shame for your company.
3479  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto's economic value is surprisingly low :'( on: May 19, 2020, 05:35:00 AM
Tend to agree to the idea of community awareness for Bitcoin or the entire cryptocurrency. It really takes a lot of time and effort but if we wish for global acceptance of Bitcoin then first we better let everyone know what these crypto digital currencies are there it's potential and advantages in using a decentralized currency.

Since bitcoin is not owned by anyone or a product of a specific business then no one will spend thousands of dollars for television advertisement, and that being said global awareness will be difficult in fact internet service will also be an obstacle for cryptocurrency for there are communities especially the rural ones has no internet service yet and some of them still consider the internet as not a commodity but leisure. However, it is every culture's norm to learn and adopt new things especially if they find it beneficial to them so in time definitely more people will learn what is cryptocurrency all about and they will start to enter the crypto world.
