3461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNOFFICIAL] [VNL] Vanillacoin 0.4.1 UPD | Instant ▱ Incentivized ▱ Innovative on: December 13, 2015, 04:57:06 AM
Why the volume on an exchange is going low? VNL should be on the top currency to trade better than any other crap coins in an exchange..

VNL used Bitcoin code without the required proper attribution.  That's considered stealing, even by ardent FOSS greybeards like Gmax.

Rather than apologize for his actions, John Conman tried to deflect by using tu quoque, accusing Bitcoin of stealing SSL or some such bullshit.  And he spammed this forum with duplicate posts.

VNL bragged about their 'zero-conf required on Poloniex' but then it broke and turned into a fiasco.

Even *if* VNL had decent crypto, Monero's upcoming RingCT makes it look old and obsolete.

That's why the volume is low.  Anybody who wanted this crapcoin already filled their bags and (like you) is probably nervously looking around for a greater fool to dump them on.

more like everyone is sick of monero
I used to listen to this shit, but JC has proven himself as a coder, delivered endlessly and without requiring rewards. He has no moral code? I doubt anyone in the monero community has any except for becoming rich off other people. Every time you post I buy another thousand coins.
One of the major points is UDP. Every stupid kid can make the TCP netcode  BTC has, UDP is far more diffucult to implement.[/b]
BTC development has not moved anywhere in years, VNL is making leaps every day. How can you not see this?

On which market do you "buy another thousand coins" every time I post?  I'm going to check it for 1000 VNL market buys.

Quick, go buy another thousand because of this post.  I'll wait...

Done?  Good.

BTC development is moving very quickly.  Did you miss all the BIPs being written/reviewed/tested/implemented?

You either live under a rock, or are trying to hype VNL by attacking BTC.  Probably the former.

VNL has made the "leap" up from zero to 1 required confirmation.  So much for its only supposed feature worth hyping.

I'm glad Polo got a fucking clue before they got flooded with fake VNL.  Polo had no business playing with fire by accepting 0conf VNL scam coins.
3462  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitcoinDark (BTCD)--Teleport/Ramchains/SuperNET Core/Dividends/Gen 1.5 on: December 13, 2015, 04:45:55 AM
With so many alt coins now it's impossible for people to spot the wheat from the chaff.

Spare us your 'ain't nobody got time for that' and 'boo-hoo, if only people knew' excuses for BTCD's poor performance.

It's not "impossible" it just takes time, effort, and intelligence.

The market's purpose is to aggregate the collective time, effort, and intelligence of many people.

BTCD has too many flaws and not enough merits.  It's chaff, not wheat.

Don't blame "imperfect information" just because the coin you think is good is judged by the market to be crap.

Whining about the venue only after and because you don't get the result you desired is a bitch move.

You thought you were smarter than the invisible hand, only to get the pimp slap across the face.   Wink

haha, I know I've made more money from crypto than you lol

This thread is about BitcoinDark, and why it's failing.

Nobody cares about your irrelevant fake internet bragging, which is also off-topic.

No, you're a troll, and not interested in BTCD at all. BTCD is still in development, just like monero.

I'm not bragging either .. lets have a bet and see if I'm faking or not, full escrow, we'll let a third party judge who knows the market better.

edit: humiliating a troll is on-topic imo

BTCD's "development" stopped months ago, having been abandoned like so many other jl777 hype-and-dump projects.

Unlike BTCD's fake vapor-privacy, Monero's ring signatures have worked from Day 1.
3463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: December 13, 2015, 04:42:19 AM
The greater cryptocurrency community should establish a day where everyone withdraws all of their crypto into their own wallets. Large holders will have to start early because of the daily withdrawal limits.

The idea would be to have an organized bank run every year to destroy the excess money supply created by exchange operators and derivatives.

Some exchanges would collapse. There'd be tons of volatility. Could be fun.

Fractional reserve is not going to go away. This is why proof of stake coins do not work.

100% PoW is the only way to be safe.

Even PoS+PoW hybrids don't work.  Novacoin (PoS + scrypt) just got hacked.

Can't wait to find out if Dash's PoS + X11 scheme is susceptible to the same technique!   Cool

Monero is not going to the tomb  Wink

Monero is not going to the tomb as it's still very much in the womb! Wink

Relevant:
Large, long-lived complex systems like elephants and humans have extensive gestation and pre-adolsescent growth periods.

Monero hasn't even been born yet and is still a fetus.  Its price is based on ultrasound readings, not direct observation.

We are in the 650 day process of growing a wise crypto-elephant, not a 30 day rush job to pop out a vapid scamcoin chipmunk.

This approach is in contrast to DASH's 'fail fast' vapid scamcoin chipmunk paradigm.

we want to create something super simple.

3467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] official NovaCoin thread - the original PoS+scrypt coin. --POOL LIST-- on: December 13, 2015, 03:01:52 AM
Dear Novacoin users, I have to notify you that terrible thing happened. Unfortunately, the Proof-of-Stake difficulty has been dropped as the result of successful attack. In case if attacker would decide to continue generation, please make sure that you're not processing transaction until 8-9 confirmations were achieved. That will protect you against double spending attempts.

Hard fork is necessary to resolve this issue, updated client will be published in the next few days. Please stay tuned.

Attack details please.

Would like to know if DASH Masternodes are also vulnerable.   Wink
3468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] NeuCoin - Easy to use, free to try, focused on micropayments - Official on: December 13, 2015, 02:37:49 AM
BTC isn't hard to use.  You get the wallet from the app store and scan a QR code.  Simple.

PoS isn't "innovative."  It's been around since Peercoin!

Also not innovative: ICO/ITO/presales/instamines, airdrops, slick graphics, hype and buzzwords with no specifics.  PayCoin (your fellow Peercoin clone) already did all that.

Even if you did get every idiot on the internet microtipping their favorite snarky commenters, crap musicians, and asinine fremium game devs, how would NEUBcoin scale to handle all these transactions and the resulting bloated blockchain?  ATM only expensive, proprietary, centralized Visa-style solutions are available.

You know what is innovative?  Cryptonite's mini-blockchain scheme (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=713538.0).

That's what you should be building this on.  But then you couldn't control it solely for the benefit of your wannabe-plutocrat masters.

This isn't even Flooz 2.0.  This is Beenz Lite!

DO.  NOT.  WANT.

Well that turned out exactly as expected.

Now I just have to wait for the DASH scam to fail, so I can rub it in the faces of all the Evan's Gate cult recruiters!   Cool

3470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Centralized NXT IS BEING DEAD on: December 13, 2015, 02:17:25 AM
As expected! Roll Eyes

That's the reason why majority of online wallets removed NXT from their lists including Shapeshift.io Shocked

It's a shame that the developers had a mere intention of dumping the coins rather than pushing it's ability a lot further. Undecided

I already smelled something fishy when they skipped the question of future road-map towards NXT!

NXT's roadmap should have been done two years ago, BEFORE or when the coin was launched.

It's too late to stack more vaporware on top of this abandoned zero-volume platform.

NXT should release a Roadmap Roadmap, to tell us their plans for future roadmap releases!   Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
3471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [DASH] What happened to Masternode Blinding? [DARKSEND UNUSABLE] on: December 13, 2015, 02:14:01 AM
I'm not a big fan of DASH for various reasons. Mainly cuz of the Premine stuff.

A dev has only so many hours in the day to work on various projects. Masternode blinding is probably achievable, but it is getting delayed off because the DASH devs are prioritizing other stuff. The question you should ask is how are development resources being allocated.

It is my theory that DASH will do whatever is "trendy". Decentralized consensus is trendy. Privacy doesn't make the cut anymore, especially with regulatory attention on crypto. DASH wants to be mainstream. Its not darkcoin anymore, its fast scalable and smart, nobody is investing in any fintech privacy unicorns. Fast transactions isnt going to cut it either. Get ready for a name change.

THEORY CONFIRMED:

Segregated Witness is super useful for Dash Evolution, we can use it to make decentralized SPV more efficient.

"Sorry we won't have masternode blinding and get anon tx times under 20-72 hours for another 10 years."

"Masternode blinding is working fine on my secret testnet, but it's more important to prioritize [SHINY NEW OBJECT]."

"The Nort American Bitcoin Conference 21 & 22 January 2016 in Miami"

To be honest its not all that surprising to see Evan Duffield, lead developer of Dash mentioned there
as most of us remember him from the Proof of Honor Award of 2014

It is traditional for the Miami NABC to troll the community by giving a platform to one notorious scammer.

This year it was Josh Garza of GAW and Paycoin.

Next year it's Evan Duffield's turn to peddle his Dash Masternode HYIP and Evolusham snake oil.

As for the "Proof of Honor" let's remember that Coins Source is not only pushing the Neucoin scam, but also for sale to the highest bidder.  IOW, they are the perfect entity to confer fake credentials and hype on shitcoins.

I wonder how much Duffield paid them for his mail-order degree in Scamology?   Grin

3476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is Cryptsy also stealing your BTC ? please share it here ! on: December 13, 2015, 01:14:09 AM

I tried to withdraw 33 DASH two days ago - It is still Pending.

Craptsy may have put your DASH in a Masternode to earn dividends.

But the payments have been buggy lately, so you have to wait unil eduffield reboots his centralized payment controller thingy.

How surprising, the most relevant post in this thread is being conveniently ignored:

anyway I did my own proper checks (we do all the time in securites on companies eg before acquisitions etc while we have a paid service I'm sure theres freebies on the net for such searches), anyway Paul Verns actually talking the truth, there is no current investigation by any of the agencies listed in this article

How surprising, illodin the DashHole is defending and cheerleading for Team Craptsy.  What is it with DashHoles always being so eager to White Knight for Craptsy?

Don't worry, the Feds are going to keep investigating Craptsy until all the funny business with Otoh's pumps and their Paycoin Master Controllers and Dash Master Nodes are exposed.

Meanwhile, enjoy your new home at Poloniex, AKA the exchange Monero (re)built.   Cool

Maybe we should give his 2015 tweets a little more weight than his 2014 tweets.

"TheRektoning" is right.  The DashHoles will never get over the spanking PT gave them with that tweet.

100% agreeing with iCEBREAKER.

Bring it on, $0.26...  everything under $1,  I'm buying $1k worth of such dirt cheap XMR every single day until I run out of FIAT reserves.

Preach it Moneroman88.

Monero under 50 cents? What the hell are you waiting for?
