in fact, I started looking into developing COINDASHIAN [CDS] , the next big thing since COINYE! and by holding onto those I will develop a PoS alt coin called NORTHs , the more COINDASHIAN and COINYE you hold will generate a % based on your current holding.
ahhhhh.... the wonders of a free market.
It's not like a programmer with a strong understanding of C++ and cryptocurrency couldn't make a multipool resistant coin. There's not enough innovation in altcoins. That's the problem. |

I really like Grain, but what made it interesting for me was the PoS element, and the main motivator for me to mine it.
Without it I feel the coin loses what made it interesting.
dont give up, bosian will probably get it fixed. pos is what got me interseted aswell. I'll keep mining for a few days in the hope we get some updates on this. My incentive to mine is the PoS stake, and with so many altcoins out there I think the coins with something more unique to offer will survive. |

Even if someone gave me some NXT I wouldn't know what to do with it.
Given some time I could explain Bitcoin to someone with a basic understanding of computers. NXT is a hard sell.

Guys need some help! No matter what I do I cant solomine GRA!!!I have tried the config with nodes, without nodes, changed ports, deleted files and installed wallet again! Everything and I simply cant get it mining with cgminer!!! Post your conf file settings and CGiner config. Can anyone tell me when I will notice the interest / proof of stake thing kick in?
Will I see something in the wallet that will show me?
From the OP; Grain also provides 5% annual interest on the grained held. The interest will be paid about every 2 weeks. It will show up under "Stake:" in your wallet, I believe. |

Difficulty is already high, even at release. Nothing "new" about it. Probably premined. Sketchy on details. Wouldn't go near it. |

If most miners only mine coins so they can quickly sell them to make money, then they will do that first, and mine for fun or investment second. You have to provide other incentives other than money to attract people to this coin.

No likely unless there's a significant amount more activity around the coin. Just too many people willing to dump them. Ironic really. Everyone's greed has made it essentially worthless. It would be smart to buy in 10 mill or so at a couple of satoshi for a rainy day, but it's a coin to sit on and wait. |
