3461  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you feel bad while paying with BTC? on: April 18, 2023, 07:24:44 PM
I would never feel bad for paying for something in crypto.  I'm not one of these guys that makes fun of pioneers who paid astronomical sums of BTC (looking backward) for things like pizzas, alpaca socks, honey, or whatever else was being offered for BTC back in the day.  It's these purchases that give Bitcoin value.  If everyone was spending it freely and accepting it, we would see increased comfortability and adoption that would surely benefit us all.  Don't be one of these guys who refuses to spend your crypto.  Just make sure to replace it with fiat and you'll be fine.

I do enjoy Lina Seiche's cartoons.  Some of them are quite funny and it's clear she is current with the issues.  Is she still with that nerdy guy who sued everyone who made fun of him for being a nerd?  LOL

Anyway, I think the drop we've seen this week was due to people selling in order to pay their taxes at the last minute.  That's just how people operate.  Smiley  I assume not everyone lost money last year.  It seems like we've moved passed that and are back headed upwards again.

I also should mention that if you missed the grilling of a trembling Gary Gensler then you need to look up that video immediately.

Chris Paul has lost his last 14 games when Scott Foster was the referee. Will tonight be the night he breaks that streak? With the Suns down 0-1 in the series, they certainly need it. As ridiculous as Scott Foster’s hate for Chris Paul is, I’m not sure I’d go against it. I’m honestly not sure how Scott Foster still has a job at this point…

Numbers working against Chris Paul, so who knows, but it's going to be hard to go against that stats.

They are down and Kawhi seems to have gotten into his sweet spot in this playoffs, not a dangerous sign for the Phoenix Suns. But they still got Durant, who has plenty of experience too in this kind of games so I think he will step up and try to bring the series into 1-1.

Never thought that the Warriors will be down 0-2, but now they are going home and the chances are high to take a win next game to make it closer against the Kings.

Durant needs to step up and push everyone they need to work as one and show that aggressiveness to win the game, they are inside their home court and fans are there to support them.

It's time to pay back to those people who are willing to cheer for you. The core players need to work
together in bringing the confidence to each other. They need the win as they can't afford to lose both home games.

I don't know if it's a health issue or what, but Durant hasn't looked too good to me since returning from injury.  I'm actually surprised that the Suns were 8-0 with him in the lineup before the last game.  He seems to be forcing shots instead of finding the open man and is getting pushed around by the Clippers.  I'm hoping the come back strong tonight with a dominating win or I fear that the Suns might not make it out of the first round.  From a betting standpoint, the odds to bet on the Clippers is looking much more appealing than a bet on the Suns.  I do think (hope) the Suns win tonight though.
3464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: April 18, 2023, 07:13:00 PM
Elon Musk has come out and said that he doesn't like the way that AI is being trained to lie by the companies that are currently controlling it.  As a result, he has stated that he will begin building an AI that won't be taught to lie or be politically correct to push an alternative agenda on mankind.  This gives me hope that you will be able to use his AI product without trying to trick it into breaking it's own rules in order to get the desired outcome.  I have high hopes after seeing how he's exposed the government via his Twitter acquisition.  At this point he's looking like humanity's biggest freedom fighter.
3465  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul Vs Nate Diaz boxing Aug 5th on Dazn PPV on: April 18, 2023, 07:11:00 PM
I already put money on Jake Paul in a bet with a friend who seems to think Nate Diaz is going to be able to jump sports and compete. I personally never considered Nate a striker, so I think he’ll be covered in blood by the end of the night. MMA fight, Nate chokes him out in under a minute. Boxing though? My money is on Jake and it feels safe.
I will tail that.
I am a big fan of Nate Diaz in MMA but I also realize he is not the guy who throws a lot of punches, he relies on his strong chin and toughness so he will be like a sandbag here again Jake Paul. "Jabs." That is where Paul will win and the fight goes until round 8, Diaz will probably lose in the score. That's if no one gets knocked out unless Nate will have a chance to land a lucky blow.
I also am doubting the resistance of Diaz in an 8-rounder. He might lack the stamina to go on and will just stand in the ring just to finish the fight.
Plus, Paul will be focused on winning after his recent defeat.

That's what exactly happens when Mcgregor fought Mayweather the lack of stamina, boxers' training is very different they trained to last 10 or 12 rounders and they are good at pacing and reserving their strength Jake already knows how to do this he knows where to pick the round where he will be aggressive and rounds where he will reserve his energy, I don't think Nate can keep with that he should have a strong belly because Jake is going to target that to slow down his movement he cannot rely on kicks or grappling, to stop Jake Paul attack.

well, let's see once inside the ring. but paul seems to have the advantage here. and bookies are already seeing that giving him the favourite on this match. also, paul has the motivation to win on this one because he lost his last fight.
when it comes to nate diaz, for sure he has seen paul's fights already so he knows where and when to attack him. but the stamina, i can give this aspect to paul's advantage.

I was being serious about expecting Nate Diaz to be absolutely covered in blood during this fight.  If you've watched him fight in the UFC you know that his face is literally so full of scar tissue that one punch sends blood gushing from everywhere.  I literally think that this fight is going to be called early because Nate isn't going to be able to see through all the blood dripping down his face.  I don't think Jake is a better fighter and I'm sure in any other type of fight other than a straight boxing match Nate wins.  However, with those gloves and rules, I'm expecting this fight to be called and Jake given the W.
3466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: April 18, 2023, 07:07:36 PM
Tank shaming Garcia into accepting his offer to bet the purse on the fight is one of those things where I have to wonder if they are just doing it to try and get some more eyes on the fight.  I don't think either would actually bet their entire purse on the outcome of the fight no matter how confident they are.  I guess we'll have to wait and see if they sign the contracts, but I don't think any "bet" like this has ever actually played out.  After seeing the clip though, I'm firmly on team Garcia.  I hope he knocks out Tank and gets his purse.  Seems like Tank needs to humbling.
3467  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul Vs Nate Diaz boxing Aug 5th on Dazn PPV on: April 18, 2023, 04:47:58 PM
Wow. I'm hyped. I've gotta give it to Jake as this is no easy fight and might even be tougher than Tommy Fury if I'm being honest.

I am hyped too, the fight has been anticipated for quite a while and it's nice that it's finally coming. To be honest I wish the fight would have happened sooner, Nate is already 38 who hasn't been so active anymore. The big age difference is definitely an issue but I think Nate will stand his ground. Again it's going to be a boxing match which is a big disadvantage for all the MMA fighters. I thought that Jake Paul was already training Jiu Jitsu and would start competing in the octagon. It's one thing to beat the MMA professionals in boxing and something completely different in a UFC setup. It would be awesome to see a rematch with Anderson Silva in the octagon. But let's focus on the Nate Diaz match first, with - 270 Jake Paul seems to be a strong favourite, at such odds I am going to bet on Nate Diaz.

Jake doesn't have the balls to be in UFC fight. There is just too many attack point to block while in boxing ha don't have to worry that he'd be taken down. The odds will be on Nate if this will be an MMA match.

But Jake prefers boxing since he has the edge and he is also the one organizing his own event. Exhibition matches are kind of bread and butter for Jake which Diaz vs Logan is like one exhibition fight.

I think he has the balls, he just doesn’t have the skills. Boxing is something that is much easier to do when you’ve been staying in good shape. Strength and size goes a long way to make up for lack of technique. MMA, not so much. You need to train multiple fight styles from the time you’re young to be able to compete. It’s a totally different level.

3469  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to convince a sceptical person to buy Bitcoin ? on: April 18, 2023, 06:42:54 AM
The best way to convince someone to buy Bitcoin is to place them into a situation where they need to buy something internationally. Let them go through the wire process and see how expensive and inconvenient it is, then show them how you made the payment instantly with BTC. That’s all you have to do.
3470  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 18, 2023, 06:01:18 AM
Everyone knows the Warriors played their worst road game this season, which may be the reason they are 0-2 in this series. However, they still have game 3 and 4 to even the series, which is vital, and I believe they can win since they are extremely good at home. Game 5 or 7 is the most important, as the Kings have home court advantage. For the Warriors to defeat the Kings in the first round, they need to win at least one on the road, provided they win all their home games.

Spread are out in game 3, Warriors are -7? I think Warriors should be the easy bet here.

Warriors have been horrible on the road all year and Sacramento is no picnic. I love seeing how excited their fan base is and there is no better gimmick in the league right now than Light The Beam. The Kings don’t have to win one on the road to win the series either. The Warriors are the ones who will have to win a game in Sacramento in order to advance.
3471  Economy / Collectibles / Re: My Cold Keys Just Got Swiped! All Cold Kuntz!! on: April 17, 2023, 03:08:05 PM

It’s all a shame. Tim Fillmore / Titan should be in jail right now. Patrick /Cold Keys should be in jail right now, the Cold Storage Coin creators (and their many coin companies which were/are also scams) should also be in jail right now.

From the countless hours of scam busting/research I’ve put in, one thing that’s evident is all our legal systems are completely and utterly fucked. LLC’s and “housing”/registering companies offshore at places like the British Virgin Islands are tickets to freely scam. Infinitum is another and that’s just 4 coin makers ..I could keep going.

I am done buying loaded products unless it’s very low denomination. Even then, I probably won’t. Our hobby is ruined. These scumbag pieces of shit have proved that scamming in this space is EASY and legal action against it is anything but.

I have to agree with you on this...its a shame these people are not behind pars for their actions.

It will only further encourage others who have malice in their dark hearts to follow their lead.

I do hope our hobby is not totally ruined and that someday it will bounce back to the heydays of the past.

I don’t agree. Our hobby isn’t dead. We as consumers just need to have higher standards and stop allowing members here to spread lies about honest creators to funnel people into their alt’s scams. Reputation is important to some people, and instead of using that fact to attack those who value their reputations with lies and extortion attempts, we should praise and honor the honest among us. As someone who has and would never rob my customers, I can tell you that it would have been 1000x easier and more profitable for me to have done so. Let’s stop the culture that makes that statement true. This is the way. Wink

It's actually quite disappointing to see some names whom which I personally think are quite good members of the forum to have actually bought into the scamdemic and its ploy to poison the population.

I took a hit on this forum when I made it clear that the pandemic was a scam to print money and pay back the medical industry for the failed Obamacare promises. I never for a second considered getting vaccinated nor have I ever bothered to be tested for this nonsense. It was crystal clear what this was from the beginning and the bootlickers that continue to be brainwashed after all the evidence showing the vaccine is worse than covid should be avoided at the very least. Their opinions should be considered moronic and questioned on a variety of things as a result. Their ego is more important than truth, and they are enemies of mankind.

Scrubbed the launch… I thought Elon was joking when he said he had a feeling it would be delayed until 4/20. I guess not.

Now I am starting to appreciate that this thread is "going down hill."

I think it’s a show of confidence that holders are happy we’re in the upswing of this 4-year cycle and don’t give a fuck about the price until it’s time to sell. That, or toilet humor is ageless and something we all can enjoy. I think a thread on westerners using toilets in unique ways might be necessary for entertainment purposes.

I’m just glad people aren’t debating whether it is time to sell now or hold until six figures. That would be even more ridiculous.
3477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 16, 2023, 02:05:15 PM
My picks for today… Nothing surprising…

Los Angeles Lakers over the Memphis Grizzlies
Milwaukee Bucks over the Miami Heat
Phoenix Suns over the Los Angeles Clippers
Denver Nuggets over the Minnesota Timberwolves

The only game here I’m not feeling confident about is the Bucks and Heat. If Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo have big games and manage to contain Giannis, I feel like they could make that a close game.
3478  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 16, 2023, 03:26:37 AM
there’s no way I was going to bet against the Kings at home. I’ve spent too many years in Sacramento and I know that arena is going to be the hardest place the Warriors have to play in these playoffs. Everyone in that building is going to want to see the beam getting lit tonight.

The Kings played their asses off tonight for the city of Sacramento. They’ve waited a long time for this and I know how sweet it is to get one over the nearby Warriors. Awesome to see them light the beam on national tv as well. They deserved it after waiting so many years. Malik Monk hitting 14 free throws to tie the record for playoff debuts is a nice touch as well. We’ve got a series on our hands…
3479  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 16, 2023, 01:04:28 AM
Knicks win their first playoff road game in 24 years! Brunsen vs Mitchell match up was great in the end and they both showed up. However, Knicks had the better offensive rebounds at clutch time. It's also the first team to win a playoff road game, this season.

Donovan Mitchell has another gear when it comes to the playoffs. If they ever manage to get a good roster around him he’ll be able to do some damage. He almost got them the win in the last two minutes but NY just has a WAY deeper roster.

Harrison Barnes looking like he’s out for blood against the Warriors. This is going to be a great series.
3480  Other / Meta / Re: Who is the oldest user among forum still active? on: April 15, 2023, 11:31:33 PM
@OgNasty has also been here since 2011 and have been active ever since then till now... Or 2011 users are not considered under the old members count ??

I think “still active” are they key words in that subject. There were many users here when I joined that had a lot more knowledge than I did. It’s just that most people left or were chased away by the toxic environment and politics here. Myself, I thrive in toxicity so I don’t mind what this place has become. However, it is a shell of the bitcointalk that existed prior to 2017. So I don’t see me being considered an elder here to be some accomplishment. It says more about the state of the environment here that so many others decided to no longer participate.
