Search for bodies at Germanwings plane crash site endsFrench investigators have ended their search for bodies in the Alps where a Germanwings passenger jet crashed last month, killing all 150 people on board, a local official said on Saturday. .... "The search for bodies is over, but the search for the victims' personal belongings is continuing," a spokesman for the local government authority in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence region told Reuters. "Lufthansa has also hired a specialist firm to remove the debris of the aircraft, under the authority of the French public prosecutor and an expert in charge of environmental supervision of the operations," he said. Lufthansa is the parent company of the lowcost Germanwings carrier. The identification of victims will now continue through the analysis of 150 sets of DNA found at site, which could take several weeks. The prosecutor leading the French legal probe has cautioned that the number of DNA sets does not necessarily mean all the victims have been found. Kenya is holding three days of mourning for the 148 (147?) victims of an attack on students by militant group al-Shabab.President Uhuru Kenyatta has vowed to respond to the attack "in the severest way possible". One of the four gunmen who carried out the attack has been identified as the son of a government official, the interior ministry has said. He was named as Abdirahim Abdullahi, whose father is a local chief in Mandera County in the north-east of the country. "The father had reported to security agents that his son had disappeared from home... and was helping the police try to trace his son by the time the Garissa terror attack happened," ministry spokesman Mwenda Njoka said. Abdullahi studied law in Nairobi and was an "upcoming lawyer", Mr Njoka added. More at: http://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-32187891

May I ask you BurtW?
Sure, you are free to ask any question you want to. Many of the questions you ask are very interesting questions. The answers that people come up with are also interesting. I am not free. I am out of jail on bond. I have an active case against me. Everything said in this thread is read by many different people. So, you have all my support (and I think all the community support) and I hope you will win th cause because "bitcoin isn't illegal" /this is the sense of everything. All this situation is insane, where is the freedom?

Do we really need Bitcoin Foundation? As a decentralized currency, a centralized organization is totally inappropriate。
Yes, we need it but they should remember that bitcoin is decentralized .... and their influence should not be so high, because without a large consent their decision be equal to zero. Dogecoin is only an altcoin, like litecoin and all the others (but their old initiatives are very good).
|
|
|
Aren't they just developers of Bitcoin Core ?
How can they control bitcoin if bitcoin is decentralized currency ? I think foundation is no needed anymore
They don't control Bitcoin. It's a member association who is collecting money from members and use it to pay some of the devs so that they can focus fulltime on bitcoin. Furthermore they do PR and some lobbying as fas as I know. It's like Mozilla Corp. Who decided who gets to be the main devs? The Bitcoin Foundation must have a big influence over them considering it pays them. It might not completely control Bitcoin, but it must have a big influence on the main devs, which gives it a certain amount of control over Bitcoin. The problem here is that "no one" can real control bitcoin as technology, if tomorrow the "dev team" will release a new update and the large quantity of the miners don't agree with this update .... what will happen? So I don't care about bitcoin foundation, they should work as "volunteers" and not employees.

^ lol and how many centuries later was that? xD Israel still has a lot of time then if that is your view. I think it's impossible for there to be peace. Both sides claim the land, both sides are willing to kill to have it, and both sides claim their right to the land is from their god. The problem is, there were people living there before Judaism and Islam became prominent, so I don't recognize either of them as having a more legitimate claim to the land over the other, and even less so when their justification is "because my god said so."
I don't think the problem is they claim the right to the land comes from somewhere else. The problem is people already live in the land of the occupied territories and Israel keeps building more settlements there and expelling the Palestinians. And I think the official position of the Palestinians is they accept the two state solution, but Israel doesn't and doesn't give any alternative. They just say they are negotiating, and keep on building more settlements and making the situation worse. : / Perhaps I am mistaken, but my understanding was that Israel was "the promised land" that their god promised his "chosen people." That is how they justify the expelling of the Palestinians in 1947. Correct me if I do not have this correct. Maybe that is the way they justified it at the time, but the truth is they also need a land to live in, and they have other concerns too like security. I don't think it means there can't be peace and that someone must be expelled, but I think other problems are the source and not religion. They were all living some place before they came back and carved Israel out of Palestine. It doesn't have to be where it is now, but it is because they believe their god promised this land to them. Religion is the root cause. They don't want to live anywhere, they want to live on the magic land. But they can live (the two population) in one land, the problem is they want to "find" common rules for live together in that land (call you as you like, palestine or israel). All we are world citizen, or am I wrong?

Who care if bitcoin will drop under 200 dollars? Do you want a stable price or only a pump & dump scheme , like all the altcoins?
|
|
|
300 is a very hard line to break. Resistance built.
so it's 200, price will stuck between the two for a long time i suppose, which it isn't necessarily a bad thing... everyone wanted a stable price, here your stable price Remember that 1 bitcoin = 200 dollars and 1 dollars = 1 dollars. Which one will you choose? It is a question for the OP. The stable price is a good thing, and it doesn't mean stable = pump, so we will never seen again 1'000 dollars per bitcoin (or at least not before 2-3 halving).

Yes. I was going to suggest putting them underneath their avatars and signature but your edit would probably look better. =snip=
Do you mean something like that? [ img]https://i.imgur.com/T6rkKT6.png[/img] I also support your idea, and I hope to see this improvement in the new forum software. Yes. Something like that would be fine but would it clutter if it is listed like in that image? I understand you gave it as an example. Looks fine to me. Yes it was only an example to make clear the idea but I am sure theymos can add this function "right now" if he wants and put these buttons : one under the avatar and the other near the signature.
|
|
|
I think the same, that avatar is at the limit of "decency" and it is not safe for work. Maybe theymos can contact him (that user) or remove the avatar and change it with another one. If my boss will see that image I am sure he will not be "so happy".

I think it would be a good idea for individual buttons to ignore a users signature and avatar like we have to ignore a user. A recent issue was brought up here with an arguably nsfw avatar and the only way to avoid seeing it would be to ignore that user or ignore all avatars which would probably be overkil. If there was an individual avatar or signature you found annoying/garish/distracting/offensive/nsfw etc you could just simply ignore that specific users as opposed to ignoring everything else. Do you mean something like that? ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FT6rkKT6.png&t=663&c=HfuMB-KHElv9Ng) I also support your idea, and I hope to see this improvement in the new forum software.

The problem is some websites, such as BTC-e, don't have the proper procedures in place to reset 2FA, so if you lose your code you may not be able to regain access to your account.
One of my friends faced the same issue with BTC-e. But he was allowed to access his account in a few days time, after he was able to convince them that he was the rightful owner of the account. The problem with BTC-e is that their support staff speaks only Russian and it takes a lot of effort to communicate with them. It was happened the same thing to me not on btc-e but on bittrex. I have recovered my iPhone and lost all the app (I didn't buckup anything). After I have contacted their support through email and they have asked me only the last activity of my account, finally in less than 48 hours my account was "unlocked" without the 2FA. So I raccomebd to all who are trading me, to save the code ( or qrcode, when you will be activate it).

Reports reaching PREMIUM TIMES indicate that members of the insurgent Boko Haram are currently attacking Kayamla village of Borno. Kayamla is about 20km from Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, and the attack was ongoing at 2:10 p.m. An official of the local vigilante called Civilian-JTF in Borno, Muhammed Gava, confirmed the attack to PREMIUM TIMES. “We just got a report from our vigilante members around Konduga local government area that Boko Haram terrorists were in Kayamla and we’ve just assembled a team of vigilante members and the Civilian-JTF who are about to storm Kayamla now,” he said. Kayamla was last attacked by the Boko Haram in January last year. More at: http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/180575-happening-now-boko-haram-attacks-kayamla-borno.htmlI hate those person, why should they attack "innocent" people in name of a God (Allah)? This is not right, and it is obviously insane.

The offer above your message is for 0.9 BTC, no way I would lower it to 0.8 Hope you understand my message ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) What is the minimum that you will accept? I am also located in EU, maybe if you will tell me a good price I will buy it (but I am not sure, it depends all of what will be the price).

.... @redsn0w it's hard to blame them but it would be better if the Palestinians found a way to resist that didn't include violence. And I think they are now moving more in that direction, by joining the ICC, etc. I hope they manage to have their own state or at least that they are accepted with equal rights into Israel.
So how can they resist to that oppression? Because we can agree ... it is an unnecessary oppression. This was the first division (1974): ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif)
Now I don't want to talk about the zionist, but I know there are some israeli that are against the oppression to Palestine.

i dont agree in removing the Digital Goods section, it will only cause a topic posted in the wrong place coz you cant avoid people selling their goods. maybe a solution of moderating the thread or banning people selling stolen keys/accounts will be better if it is possible
You can crack down on them and ban them. Do you guys want to be surrounded by people who might crack your accounts and sell them? but do you want to penalize all the other "legit" sellers? I don't think it is a good choice, why remove an entire section because "few" dishonest person are selling "illegal items" etc... ?

I have nothing against them and their research program. They said it's only for the purpose of research and building power plants, so what is the problem? So many countries have nuclear weapons and are not willing to give them up, but trying to block others from making their own. We already had a war started because one country thought the other has nuclear missiles and it turned out they were wrong.
I have heard that also israel owns nuclear weapons, but I can't find the article where I have read that thing. Why the "World" isn't worried about israel but it is worried about iran? It doesn't make any sense... Correct me if I am wrong. Because Iran's official policy is that Israel should not exist and has pledged repeatedly to wipe them off the map. That is why people who don't want them to have nuclear weapons don't want them to have them. Again, their official policy is the promised destruction of Israel. Governments that promise to destroy other countries if given the capabilities (e.g. North Korea, Iran) are countries you don't want to actually give the capability to do that. Not defending, just explaining. That's completely normal, given that Israel is constantly killing people in Gaza, and those people are Muslims, just like Iranians and Syrians. I'm sure you've seen this picture. http://socialtextjournal.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/palestine_category.jpegUntil this expansion stops there will be more and more people dedicated to fighting Israel and sooner or later these people will get nuclear weapons. It's just a matter of time. Trying to stop the Iranians from building nuclear power plants is completely pointless. What if someone didn't allow you to have a metal workshop at home, because you might start making rifles? This is an interesting point, jaysabi can I ask you from which country are you from ? ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fsocialtextjournal.org%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2012%2F09%2Fpalestine_category.jpeg&t=663&c=jvD2bLa1xqQI2g) Because if your country would be invaded like Palestin I don't think you would be happy or am I wrong? However I have opened a thread : - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1012231.0you can discuss of what do you think about Palestine & israel. Now please stop here (use the other thread) thanks.
