3461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you know when to sell? on: February 19, 2022, 05:37:11 PM
Do you have any pattern that you see or watch in the market to determine time to sell your hodlings and take your profit ?

Do you regret not selling your coins at any point because you didn't know it will drop ?

Can you share your opinion

Don't listen to anyone when it comes to when you should buy or sell for that matter.  Track market movements and individual coin movements and you will see patterns that form that you should review for yourself.  You can apply the same TA and argue its a good buying point and good selling point depending on your outlook of the TA.
3462  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 19, 2022, 05:35:09 PM
Just heard Anthony Davis is going to be out for awhile again.  Said it in the beginning of the year this team is way to old to compete for anything deep into the playoffs.  Just too many miles on too many guys here, can't keep up with the young fresh legs.  If it weren't for the bottom half of the western conference being so bad I'd say they won't even male the play in games

Yeah, looks like he's out of action for at least another 4 weeks. By the way, I agree with you that older players are more prone to injury, but not in this case. I mean, Anthony Davis is only 29 years old, and he gets injured a lot more than his older teammates. I even wonder how many times he has already been injured this season. It seems to me that this has happened 3 or 4 times.
There's history, that's why. Back and shoulder and leg injuries. Then, big men are prone to injuries and most of the time it becomes a career-ender if it doesn't heal at full scale. Thankfully, there will be a week of rest because of the All Star but it would not suffice for his come back.
Betting against them after the break would be the wisest decision if ever they are up against strong teams. Because they had been winning with Davis around but not when he is out. They are in the 9th seed but all teams behind them are not that strong so I am sure they will enter play-in tournament which is their only chance for reaching the playoffs.

All Star break or not he is out for like a month from the reports.  That puts more pressure on giving minutes to the older crew which will break them down.  Building a team on age requires massive depth which the Lakers don't have.  Id hate to see them win the playing only to have to get embarrassed by the Suns most likely in the first round.
3463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 19, 2022, 05:29:05 PM
Suns still continue to tear their competitors apart one by one. Their last game was against Rockets and they won by a close margin like 124-121. Rockets are the most terrible team of this season now. But they still competed very well against Suns here. Suns are one of the number one contenders for the title already now. But we will see what happens in the playoff stage. Maybe Suns are going to make it this time after losing the title chance in the final last season.

I still cannot believe that the Suns are so powerfull last 2 seasons in the NBA from out of nowhere honestly . Last year they were pretty close in the play offs im intrested to see if they can try and win it this year. Some solid teams are in the NBA but no one is really good

Suns are *really good*.  In a seven gane series I really can't see anyone beating them in the West.  They are solid in all positions and have depth to back it up in case of fouls or injuries.  As long as cp3 is running point that team is great.
3464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 18, 2022, 09:53:56 PM
Sixers versus Nets finals, Suns vs Warriors finals, and then whoever out of the two of those four teams end up winning they go to NBA finals and face each other. That would be the ideal scenario for me. Suns vs Warriors because they are the two best teams from the west, but from the east I rather see nets vs Sixers (which is unlikely by the looks of it) because I think it would be a lot more fun to watch all the drama.

I know it is not going to be the best, I know people are expecting something like Bulls vs Heat because those are at the top but there is no drama there, it would be boring game that doesn't have any narrative to talk about in that case at all.

I might be of the minority here but I still expect the Bucks to win the East until someone takes them down.  In a series giannis in his prime is completely unguardable.  I think a Bucks Suns finals again would be great.  Might actually think about throwing some money on the Bucks to win the east.
3465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why pancake performance is so terrible? on: February 18, 2022, 09:01:50 PM
Ok first of all l thought maybe i should give it some time to recover and it will show its power but damn this coin literally angers me. When bitcoin coin crashed it was like -22% and one of the worst affected cryptocurrency, I was like ok I will give it some time and it will recover with same speed bit no when bitcoin start recovering the other coins move up to double digit but this guy hardly moving at all. I still think it is one of best crypto coin in universe ok at least in Earth it has so many use cases like staking, ico and the team also burn coins from time to time. So what went so wrong is it its unlimited supply or something else? And another thing it is not just performing so terrible with this crash but was going down continuously even before that.

In a downdraft alts always get hammered.  And when they do buy volume screeches to a halt.  Since they rely on volume then these types of coins get hammered.  But pancake is no different than any other alt in that it will drop far below this if we continue to slide as a whole.
3466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: US president to issue order next week on: February 18, 2022, 08:59:45 PM
The President of the United States is expected to issue an Executive Order on Cryptocurrency Regulation next week. What may we expect as a result of this?

In tes of price movement nothing much.  The price should have this information baked into the price already.  The market should continue to drop though.  As far as regulation, they want over sight of both the exchanges and the companies that use it as payment.  In essence they want more tax money.
3467  Economy / Economics / Re: Why many USA senator against bitcoin? on: February 18, 2022, 08:58:17 PM
We have seen there are miscellaneous reactions about bitcoin among US senators. On one side Colorado Governor Jared Schutz Polis announced that "his state will begin accepting Bitcoin for tax payments starting this summer" on the other hand Senators Jim Risch, Bill Cassidy, and Bob Mendez look aggressive against any step towards bitcoin implementations.

Some said using bitcoin as payments instead of US dollars will demolish the sanction power of the USA towards other countries. Do they fear bitcoin for losing control over the world economy or do they know the adoption of bitcoin will diminish the unchallenged sovereignty of USD?

The US dollar is the world reserve financial instrument and yes they fear bitcoin.  It's fair though, most people fear what they don't understand.  With all the dumb stories about it being a criminally used instrument they dont trust it.  And if they don't have any and the people that do become the new 1% that leaves them in the company of regular people like us again lol.

Now we've got the NBA All Star Events for the week long, who are your favourites ? I'm still looking at the options 😞

I've locked Kennard and Trae Young for the 3pt-contest, odds shifted big time yesterday after Kennard career-high 3s vs. Houston. FVV and Young were at 4.40 the other day, Kennard at 7.50...everyone's at 5.50 today. Here's a table with 3pt stats i gathered:

source: https://www.datawrapper.de/ and https://www.nba.com/stats/players/

- FVV attempts and makes the most threes this season and has the second-highest 3pt %, but he has a very slow and high-arching shot, which is negative in a time-sensitive event, could end up forcing shots with the last two racks.
- Trae Young has a quick release and range, he is my backup if Kennard does not win.
- LaVine has been dealing with knee issues for the past few weeks, so i would avoid him completely.
- Towns, i don't think a big guy is winning this competition.
- Bane, the sophomore, made 7 3s against Portland (Grizzlies last game), but despite his decent numbers, he is not a three-point specialist, also he has a weird shot release.
- CJ McCollum is better known for his mid-range game and shot-creating abilities, and he has the worst 3pt % (last 10) of all participants.
- Mills is the oldest player at 33,  he is a proven shooter, despite the fact that the majority of his 3s come off hand-offs, after picks, and off-dribble.
- Kennard is my pick to win the contest, a catch and shoot guard with very quick release, has the highest 3pt % of any of the 8 guys. I'm so mad he made 8 three last night, now everyone is jumping on him and the odds for him to win have crashed and will most likely continue to crash. Fun fact, Curry is the only point guard to win the 3pt-contest in the last 6-7 editions.

I'm taking mills.  He has a smooth stroke and shoots the lights out with no one around him.  I think he is suited for a contest like this and I like his odds at this point.  Excited for the skills competitions, first time I have been in awhile.

I didn’t purposely mean to cause confusion. Quite an epic win. This battle will be told to the great grandkids one day around the citadel camp fire.

Good auction

You didn't edit your bid right after? I swear the first time I looked it said .0069 bit full disclosure I'm out shooting pool with friends

If anyone edits their post after they post it will be note.  Check minerjones original post you can see he edited at some point and it tells you when he made the edit.  The winners post did not edit that post.

Good set of games tonight.  I like the Timberwolves against Charlotte -6.  Think they roll in a win at home tonight vs a tough Hornets team.  And then gimme Memphis-3.5 on the road against the Pelicans.  Until shown otherwise Memphis should roll on teams like this.

Memphis blew em out and Wolves settled with a push.  Tonight gimme the Grizzlies again -11.5 and the Knicks-4.5 against the Nets.  Then I'm loading up on the Hawks at -5.5 at orlando.  Think they take this game pretty easily.  Good luck everyone.
3472  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin will FAIL on: February 16, 2022, 01:03:50 AM
Well really is, from your post back in 2017 , it took years before making another ATH and now yes falls back again.

but the thing is there is still a hope for this currency , specially if they started to implement burning as the supply is really huge and unbelievable .

Hope is still there for Dogecoin if it is still in the market and the trading volume is still alive, so the only thing that needs to be considered is the trust of investors in Dogecoin in the future so that Dogecoin can always survive in the market.

Volume has steadily dropped since it's peak last May.  Price in both usd and sats has tanked since may and don't see an end in sight.  The 10k doge block rewards every minute will eventually sink this into oblivion.  It was a fad, it's over everyone is moving on except for the few who don't realize it's over.
3473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT's are not a good investment, better get out ASAP on: February 16, 2022, 12:59:50 AM
NFT's are unique pictures stored on a Blockchain and it gave a big hype around NFT's so far.

But please do your own research what is a NFT. It is just a picture stored on a blockchain and every day new pictures are launched.
It is not really scarce when always new collections are launched.

Over time, only very few people will buy such pictures and NFT's will get very hard to sell because nobody wants to buy old NFT's in a few years. Why should someone still pay high prices for such pictures?
I really don't know if NFT is a good investment and buying NFT's right now looks very high risk.

It might be better to get out ASAP and sell all NFT's.
It is much better buy coins because coins will have a high demand later. Coins will always be required in Blockchain interactions, especially big and scarce coins. Only scarce coins like Bitcoin are a good store of value.

Better buy coins, not NFT.

Agreed, it's a cash grab fad and unsustainable at these prices.  Most nfts are not fairly released or fairly minted we are finding out, and even the ones that are I wouldn't even call it art that people are putting out there.  Keeping my money in crypto and avoiding the nft craze..
3474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 16, 2022, 12:57:51 AM
Terrible loss by the Knicks last night.  Okc came in without Shai and dort their 2 best players and embarrassed the Knicks.  They made giddy look like magic and the Mann with 30 points lol.  Seriously.  Only bright spot was big mitch controlled the center and looks like a higher end center as the season goes on.  And grimes looks promising as a rookie.  Thibs drew up a play that had iq take the 3pt to tie after going 0-5 on the night and can't hit a shot the past 3 weeks....terrible all the way around.

Great game and a great way to close out the season with another game down to the end.  Was one of the better playoffs this year than I've seen in years past.  A lot of great teams in the afc those playoffs should be great for years to come.  Onto the draft!  Giants got 2 of the first 7.  It's a start...
3477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 14, 2022, 07:29:38 PM
Just two games for this day.
I'll tail with you guys on that Celtics bet. My spread is -7.5 and I wish this ain't a trap because of the Trae Young probability to play. The game will start in 45 minutes.
How about the other game (Wolves vs pacers), any thoughts?
Same question. These two teams are unpredictable that's why I am having a difficult time choosing. But considering how the Pacers were revamped it might still feel awkward for them playing for each other so I am going for the T'wolves -4.5.

Yeah with the superbowl ahead of us no nba tonight.  Well at least the Knicks can't lose today 😂

I'm taking the Timberwolves-6 on the road today against the Pacers.  Think the Pacers will struggle with brogan still out.  Get a little juice on the table before football.  Good luck today everyone.

I couldn't get on the Celtics train early but I guess it's a blessing in disguise, Celtics are currently having a hard time against Hawks, Trailing by 10 points with around 3' left in the first half, and Trae Young have being the mastermind behind the problem they're facing.

I'll ride on the Timberwolves -6.5 , I've also got Under 240 Total points should incase Timberwolves decide to go cold for the night.

I like the hedge.  Pacers being rudderless after the trade might also slump in with lower points.  Just can't see them pulling out a 60 minute barrage from Timberwolves.  I didn't like the Celtics game either way. Awesome it fun until the superbowl at least lol, good luck.

Wolves looked good yesterday.  Tonight I like 2 different bets.  Gimme the Bucks-11.5 at home they should roll in the game.  And then give me the Rockets-14.5 on the road against the jazz. think they lose but should have enough fight to not get completely blown out.
3478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: where to invest with 30 000 usd on: February 13, 2022, 08:46:05 PM
Hi everyone. I am planing to invest 30 000usd. The  money will NOT be devided, the whole amount will be invested in just one coin/token
So which one should i choose,  any 10x coin for the future?
Thanks for your advices.

Edit:Thanks a lot guys.I have plenty of other coins,as well.So i would like to invest in a single project or token otherwise the profil is not like i've expected. Thanks a lot for all the advices.

Bitcoin bitcoin and more bitcoin.  Any serious money should go into serious investments.  Bitcoin has the safest upside to go 10x.  In all honesty in a bearish market you want to keep away from all the real crap tokens out there.  Good luck either way
3479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the secret sauce for a good memecoin? on: February 13, 2022, 08:43:06 PM
I'm currently involved in small memecoin project which fairlaunched on the FTM network and we are currently struggling to get good growth. We have around 350 holders and a few reliable meme makers doing their thing on twitter slowly pushing up our follower base. We've got a modest marketing budget but don't want to blow it all at once.

I'm interested in getting tips and advice on what worked best for some of the more experienced members here.  We have thought about Giveaways, Youtube videos, reddit crypto moonshots posts etc..but not sure which to focus on. Any advice appreciated!

Stay away from making or promoting coins that are pointless.  There are zillions of these and most all of them are useless and going to lose people a lot of money in the long run.  It's irresponsible so my advise would be to stand down from the project.
3480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why you will be left behind if you don’t learn NFT. on: February 13, 2022, 08:41:15 PM
why you will be left behind if you don’t learn NFT.

Most people can’t tell the difference between NFT and JPEG.

NFT actually make you to really own an asset.

The asset is verifiable on blockchain.

Well, why NFT is an emerging trend, it will have many applications.

But, how do you make money from NFT?

I have explained the 3 ways to make money from NFT in this video.

Watch it and ask questions.

https://urlgeni.us/youtube/C8aq

It's a cash grab right now.  No way this is sustainable in the long term.  Figure a lot of fake sales too.  The worst part about it is a lot of these aren't fair and honest on their release.  So no thanks will stay away from the jpeg game for now.
