~ If you are going to keep doing this and add more coins/tokens then I would have to suggest that you should probably start with most known ones but also legit ones.
Calm down. It's not as if most people in crypto don't knows about the SEC case. Even with that knowledge, they still buy XRP for trading, fund transfer, and gambling purposes. Users have a lot of coins/tokens to choose from including Doge which is seen as merely a meme or a pump and dump but still used for the same purpose.

For sure many people knows about the SEC issue and for so many years of battling towards this SEC didn't succeed on their claims towards xrp and this coin stand strong towards those big issues they faced. But since government had hot eyes towards this I only suggest for people to use it for transaction and never hold any single coin for long term since we might see this fall due to legalities but hopefully not since using this coin is so convenient after all.
3462  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is only new to the newbie on: September 04, 2021, 10:21:08 PM
I am still not surprised that many people leaving in this era still don't know about Bitcoin or digital currencies. I was discussing with some one about bitcoin and it's achievements over the years and how this past few years has gained massive ROI for investors and he was so concerned about how people got scammed using online platforms giving negative attributes to Bitcoin to him bitcoin is a Ponzi scheme.

Many still find it difficult to accepting this digital era because of their past experience with internet fraudsters and looters who made many bankrupt when ponzi was introduced. How do you think this stigma can be dealt with and how do we get people out of this so the don't get left out due to their FUD letting them settle on their negative notion about crypto generally would only make them aggressive with crypto investors and would still see the world the way men in the 80s saw it with lots of limitations

Well for numerous schemes scattering here and scams are so rampant for sure those people who want to get quick richest but lazy to do research about those multiple scam attempts will became a victim of frauds, I can't blame them if they decide to quit because they had bad experience then talk about bitcoin is scam because they don't understand how they get scam by frauds who use bitcoin for there own schemes.

Yeah many find it difficult to understand since bitcoin is really so hard to learn especially if you don't have anyone teach you about how it works that's why most of the newbies who have 0 knowledge tend to quite because they find it stressful and unworthy since they don't earn fast benefits on it.
3463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [WARNING!] For gamblers using coins.ph on: September 04, 2021, 01:02:54 PM
I tried to send XRP to one of the gambling sites I'm using, but I was prompted with this message.

Therefore I'm suggesting everyone especially from the Filipino community who are constantly transacting from coins.ph to a gambling site/s or vice versa. The BSP is already monitoring us, and if we submit the information and put a gambling site as a recipient, we might be sanction as gambling is illegal in our country and it's part of the TOS of the coins.ph that sending coins to a gambling platform is prohibited.

you may refer to the complete terms of services of coins.ph.

https://site.coins.ph/user-agreement

Quote
Prohibited Uses include transactions or activities related to:
(c) Gambling: Online gambling, lotteries, casinos and informal gambling, gaming operations, sports betting, and other games of chance and forms of speculation;

There's nothing new about this as government also with coins.ph implement this prohibition before and many accounts has been banned due to this activities so  best not to use this wallet if we want to gamble, we had so many wallet options which is not so strict about this and if we are worried on how to cash out then transfer first your balance then withdraw it there for sure we will be safe for doing this method.
3464  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will $50,000 be the resistant price? on: September 04, 2021, 10:40:13 AM
After reaching $50k yesterday, the bitcoin price is now back to the $48k price level. I wonder if the correction will come again since we are almost at the weekend. We already see $50k, so we can see that price again in the next week. Hopefully, this month will be the time for bitcoin to back increase and stay above $50k and even it will have a chance to increase more than $55k. Just hold your bitcoin and accumulate if you still have more funds and wait for the price increase.
Probably a lot of people might've taken some profit when the prices reached that point, nothing wrong with that cause it's a normal thing to do. That's what I am doing, hodling and slowly accumulating bitcoin so when the prices started going up really nice, I have a lot of profit.

We can't say that's happening but maybe there are few since we see some slow movements downwards compare to upwards so I believe many are still holding there bitcoins at the moment since same as I they also speculate to see more price hike as the potential to reach up at $55k or even $60k is now reachable as bitcoin already reached to its what people called at resistance price. Now since bitcoin is now is playing cool at $50k then this is a good sign for good future.

They are just collecting leads so that next time they can sold those information to others who will need there service so its good that we shouldn't put our main email on every platform we sign up since expect that to many links will pop up the same as what you receive today. For others its better to ignore any emails we receive especially if we don't know or we don't expect that email to come since it might have any malware or any bad links that can harm us.
3466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 03, 2021, 11:02:29 PM
Lakers and Nets can literally fill up most of the roster for the 2021-2022 NBA All Stars for West vs. East hehe. I was planning to post the meme I saw earlier but cannot find it so just picture it in your mind.
Surely they are.

Are there any other teams that are just like them? like a full-blown team with complete all-star players with the recent news about transfers and change of rosters?

There's no other team like them, at least now we have two super teams unlike before where people only see the warriors as the super team. It's still a balance though in the East and the West, I hate to say that if this team will stay healthy, they will likely face in the NBA Finals, the other teams has no chance for an upset, but it's still my personal opinion though, don't take it seriously.  Grin

Honestly Lakers are a very old team.  It will be amazing if their healthy roster even by mid year resembles the beginning of the year roster.  Tes this old always have injury issues all year.  Not rooting for injuries but it is what it is.  Nets se thing, they can't all stay on the court together.  If they do its a good squad but don't sleep on the Bucks again.

Yes that is one of main concern but honestly that's not an issue and I think that's the advantage since they have more experience together with talent the only thing they need to work is how their rooster could fit in together, they are known stars and ball dominant players so for sure its a pain in the ass of couching staff of how they adjust the roles of the players and for sure they will think about if the players would agree for the role given specially the minutes they will get in the court.
3467  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How weird is it to borrow money and invest into Bitcoin? on: September 03, 2021, 01:07:33 PM
##

For many of the same reasons I have also held off on doing the same, but I know people who did it from 2019 so they are now 2 years into doing it and so far safely. Hence almost tripling their original BTC owned, while paying off the 12% interest easily by selling BTC that has gotten pricier. I guess one has to enter these risky collateral holding during a bear market and then ride the rally as they have been doing the entire year.

I'm also not against borrowing to invest, only problem is the only collateral I have is BTC!
Borrowing as much you can afford to pay back is fine. Crypto market is highly volatile, I won't take such risk for investment.

Even if you can afford to pay its still not ideal option to do since you already lost with the interest given from borrowed money plus we can also add up the real time value where there are instsnce that you lose a $ due to volatility thats why this borrowing ideas is not good to and since as stated we can afford then much better to save up some amount and once we reach to target capital then use it for investment on bitcoins.
3468  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Afghanistan replace afghan currency with Bitcoin? on: September 03, 2021, 11:47:03 AM
@20kevin20 But there’s a huge surge in the number of people adopting cryptocurrency in Afghanistan. In 2020, people in Afghanistan were not even close to the Global Crypto Adoption Index but in this year, there’s rapid growth in these numbers. Even if Talibans don’t let them use crypto, there’s a sense of economic security which is driving people to invest in crypto.

For sure they hide this usage since as you said Taliban doesn't want to be interfered on their actions towards running their economy and law, also they are more stricter compare to the past administration so expect that they will not allow any foreign or digital currency that will over powered their Fiat so maybe we cannot see any changes towards this for bitcoin nor unto this country. But if they became a free country maybe there's a chance for the adoption to happen on that country.
3469  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Casimero Bantamweight Unification Fight on: September 03, 2021, 10:52:38 AM
Schedules posted are not final so expect that there would might be some changes.

Indeed, most probably the article is based only on the statement of Casimero, Inoue has to also make some statement regarding the fight, if he says about the same date and venue, the most likely the information is very reliable. I don't want to get hype in this fight if there's no official statement yet from people who would promote this fight.
Changes might really happen and if Casimero did say the exact date, we can be dependent on it but at the same time to wait for the announcement of both parties.
Everyone is already hyped when someone has given the date and it's the fighter himself, Casimero. But we've forgotten and didn't chill for a moment to realize that there must be the final and official statement from their promoters and as well as for both of the boxers.

Promoters have their final say on this matter as they negotiate their terms here.
The boxers are just following their promoters go signal.
But if there is some unofficial statement from both fighters, it means, the likelihood of happening it for real is high.
This will be an interesting one as Casimero is getting the interest from boxing fans, because of his naughty antics.

Until we don't see any contract sealed then provably we cannot see this fight happen so I think this one needs more hype as the promoter really want to earn money since this is business, but I'm kinda sure about that this fight will take place next year as Casimero is successfully hit the nerves of Inoue and he's only waiting for his promoters decision about this fight. Let see how the drama rolls since this could be a great event to watch if Inoue vs Casimero will happen.

Casimero's statement should be reliable, and he stated a date that's why it's already in the news now.

John Riel Casimero to return December 11th, wants Inoue or Donaire

However, it seems like the article is saying that it could be Donaire or Inoue, which I don't think he is in the position to choose.
If there's a one who will choose, it should be the most popular fighter and that is Inoue.

That's why the information still unverified and its easy to say that their fight will be held at that schedule while the real thing there is only the promoter knows on when the event will happen and also there's no contract yet regarding to this fight. Hopefully we can see them sealed this so that we can assume that this fight between Inoue will happen on December.

I'm really excited to watch this fight and currently watching the past fights of both Casimero and Inoue so that I will have an Idea on who among them is worthy to place my bet.
3470  Economy / Speculation / Re: will bitcoin ever go down like 2018-2020 on: September 02, 2021, 11:36:19 PM
Really too far off to consider basing on the price that we had currently now.It might dumped but not really on the level on where we would really be heading back down.
Possibilities is there because this market is unpredictable but basing on the current trend and adoption rate then its really hard to consider that we would be going
down to those prices on where we had before into those times where we are just starting. Thing here as an investor is that you do know on when to consider on taking
step when you do see some chances.
Prices that time to now is way still far, many investors invested in 2020 during the pandemic and they new how volatile the market is yet many are entering crypto and buying bitcoin. There many institutions now who get involved in crupto andw. I doubt the price will go down or up. It will just be a matter of time where .adoption will happen and almost all big companies will join or accept it. It doesn't matter how mich the price can be, bit it will not be too low from 2018 dump.

Basically for now its hard for bitcoin to go down as the hype is now starting to build up since bitcoin already reached $50k and many people are now buying more to ride up since many speculates the target to reach at $60,000 - $10,00k again but we cannot deny the fact that price might still go down since price is so volatile and as I said earlier any big fuds could affect the price especially government forcing to shutdown its usage and other legal actions towards it. That's why we need more good news so that we cannot see this happen and we can enjoy the current market flow happening.

As the owner posted here he stated that he already paid out all the backlogs happened recently so maybe this could be their total shutdown as they don't have anything to work with. Maybe for now its good to lock this thread so that there's no question regarding on what happen and other things un related to the discussion and to avoid un necessary spam which is not totally contributes to the discussion.

Anyways good luck Betbtc devs and hope to see this platform open in future if they decide to open back again their business.
3473  Economy / Speculation / Re: will bitcoin ever go down like 2018-2020 on: September 02, 2021, 10:43:39 AM
$3K/BTC is nearly impossible now when Saylor is just buying up Millions every time there is a dip. Investors all over the world now are eyeing for BTC to go down too. Obviously, BTC is now mainstream that it might be hard to see drop $20k again. It would take a lot of fud to probably drop that low because when people heard of Amazon and Walmart is about to dip their fingers to crypto, they are also buying.
With so many institutions investing long term in Bitcoin, especially since Bitcoin reached a price above $60k the popularity and demand
for Bitcoin has increased dramatically. This makes it difficult for Bitcoin to even drop below $20k, so like you said it's almost impossible to
see Bitcoin go down to $3000 again. I estimate very many rich people who collect Bitcoin, by buying Bitcoin regularly every Bitcoin has
a correction. So it is very unlikely that Bitcoin will go down like in 2018-2020.
It's unlike but it's possible due to market manipulation, the future is uncertain, though these people are buying or accumulating bitcoin, one big news that could potentially shake the market would also make them panic and sell their holdings. I'm just talking about the worst-case scenario here, at least we can see what could possibly happen in the future.

What you say makes sense, in my estimation it is impossible for the price of Bitcoin to fall to $3000. But it doesn't guarantee 100% that it won't
happen, there is a worst-case scenario that might happen, considering that the market is very easy to manipulate. If that is the case, we must
prepare a plan to anticipate the worst case scenario. My advice may be to use the stop-loss feature to anticipate if the Bitcoin price falls drastically.

We cannot call it impossible since at year 2017 we didn't think the same as many people hodl for thinking that they will see more price pump but suddenly all hopes has been shutdown due to heavy bear season occur on year 2018 and so on. So even though its impossible to happen but we cannot disclose the possibilities since anything will happen in instance especially if we see a strong fuds push the market to drop badly.
3474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: September 01, 2021, 11:54:36 PM
I agree, Bob and Top Rank will decide if they wanted to have Inoue fight Casimero or not. So everything is not final yet even though Bob issued a verbal statement.
There's a news that it's likely that Inoue vs Casimero will happen by the end of this year. We don't know if that news is final and I agree, until there's an official statement then we have a guarantee that the other match will come instead of fighting against Donaire.
We've got some hope that the other match is likely to happen rather than this match.

I want to see Casimero fighting Inoue this year because of their current feud on social media and their market has insanely increased as well because of that. They both agree to fight as soon as possible but as we can see, money always matters because Inoue's promoter has the last call on this no matter how they want it to happen. I think they don't need to delay this fight anymore since the Japanese have taken lots of trash talks from the Pilipino. This shouldn't be like the Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight where they delayed it for years.
Yes, that feud has made a lot of noise and our thoughts about them having a fight this year is already going to happen with those news that came recently.
It won't be delayed anymore and with the news that has been posted above then that makes sense that we just have to wait until the end of the year to see them fight.
There are still no official statement or announcement in regard in this one and everything still in rumors for it to happen but at least we do see the interest on both camps for the said fight
which is a solid indication that it is likely to happen there are even given venues about this fight and hope that there would be no delays or postponement for this just like
on what happened earlier erring with this two great boxers. We do love to see on how this fight will end up.

Although there is no official news about this but since Inoue and Casimero is ready to fight then there's a huhe chance that this fight will happen and also Casimero already stated that their fight wull happen on december so provably thay can seal deal and make the fight happen. This is been hype for the past couple of daysnso for sure many will be more interested to watch the fight of Casimero and Inoue rather than Inoue vs Donaire.
3475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pay with Bitcoin on: September 01, 2021, 10:16:22 PM
They could give their employees choices, they could either be paid in crypto or fiat. Having its own bitcoin payment system is a great stepping stone for the business, since they are accepting bitcoin, employees should be knowledgeable on how to operate it. This could lead them to be interested in it as well. It would be easier for them, for sure.
It is good for companies to give their employees a choice, depending on whether the employees want to get paid in crypto or fiat.
This is also what many people who are familiar with crypto want, but it all depends on the rules of the government of each country.
because today there are still many countries that have not accepted crypto as a means of payment, and that is the biggest obstacle.
So the crypto adoption process does not go fast as long as the government is not open-minded and accepts cryptocurrencies as a whole.
Its really good to have choice like this but the question is does they can able to take up the high fees by using bitcoin? sometimes that one is need to be consider as companies are losing money for paying such huge fees if the network is congested, Also stuck transaction due to low set fees is a concern to so maybe this bitcoin option to pay to your employees will get a problem knowing we can get stuck for many days for it and its stressful for the employee to encounter this issues.

Regarding the high costs of using Bitcoin for payroll, maybe the fee is passed on to employees who choose Bitcoin for their salary payments.
Because it is impossible for the company to bear such large costs, therefore if employees want to receive salaries in Bitcoin must be willing
to be deducted by transaction fees. If they are not willing to choose fiat for salary payments, the company concludes that they give
employees a choice. Because from the start the company did not force employees to receive salaries in Bitcoin.

Well that's a huge lose for employee's imagine they will shoulder the high transaction fees if this really meant to happen. Instead of they can use the amount to buy goods but they used it for fees for this incident for sure many employees would not like to receive bitcoin that's why this things need to consider first that's why I can say that this bitcoin plan payment is kinda not happening for now as there are many flaws regarding to this plans.
3476  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Has crypto cloud mining got market? on: September 01, 2021, 01:17:47 PM
Not worth it whatsoever.

Just look at the sheer amount of scam accusation threads that have been put out when it comes to cloud mining on this forum. I haven't had a single person say to me that they've profited long term with cloud mining.

Those numbers of scam accusation created here will tell that cloudmining platforms is not really a good option to choose and I'm surprise that even by now there are people ask about how good it is or if there are people will try to invest on this kind of scams. So its better to move on to this kind of investment scheme since we cannot get anything good at it.

Also maybe we can say before that there are people who earns at cloudmining schemes since there are long time running which gives people a profit but now this are not existing anymore since scams are now running or using this to fool people.

"I am not very interested in money!” the hacker wrote, adding it was “always the plan” to return the funds.

How can that happen that a hacker does that I return the stolen crypto and say he is not interested in money. This is funny K can say that. What do you think about this story.

Curious to know about why they do that since they already got that huge amount from their action did but seems the hackers is not on bad side so maybe they want to warn all the platform the possible damage they possibly got for not securing their platforms. For sure many are now putting some extra efforts to make their site more secure and thanks for that hackers since this could save us for upcoming attacks since for sure the exchange are now prepared for any possible attempts.

That was actually state-of-the-art not too long ago. You only had to upload the documents and the KYC-approved status was given.

However, due to the relative ease of forgery of identities, the regulations for the Exchanges are becoming tougher and tougher.
Bitpanda - the Austrian exchange - uses live verification, for example, where you actually have your status checked with someone via video conference.
I have seen what you just described a long time ago but that video conference can still be faked in a way, some scammers aren't even scared using that even though their face is already there but in this case it's pretty easy to fake in my opinion, a fake beard and some make up could sometimes do the trick. KYC is useless if the con man is crafty.
But at least it's stricter KYC with video conferencing than just uploading documents, but this is only used in super tight exchanges I do this often and only trusted IMO.
But in the casino I didn't find anything like that but only documents were given and then waited for approval and it was easier, but whatever way the scammers sure could do it would still be much safer than any other way.
So still the casino will not provide video conferencing during KYC.
So far i didnt able to see some casinos implementing out video conferencing during KYC for now but i wont be surprised if we would really be heading there but for now
lets just deal on whats the current system or requirements that they are asking on which i dont really see for someone to be bothered that much because basic
information isnt something that you should be worried  but you could always have the choice.

This is to much I know some platform like coins.ph almost implementing this kind of procedure but I don't really think that its acceptable on casinos since this is totally more risky since its more useful for frauds to have that private information to us and I will not play if some casino trusted or not require that kind of verification since I think I cannot sleep tight thinking about the possible risk I might encounter in future.

-snip-
What i can suggest you maybe really focus on money management. Because as company there are employees which must get paid too and with bitcoin volatily, company that accept bitcoin as payment should know when to maybe sell the coins so they are not lose in money but will be different if all people in  company agree to decide when want to sell their coins by themself.
They could give their employees choices, they could either be paid in crypto or fiat. Having its own bitcoin payment system is a great stepping stone for the business, since they are accepting bitcoin, employees should be knowledgeable on how to operate it. 3480  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The life span of bitcoin is till infinity on: August 31, 2021, 11:00:50 PM
I'm not very sure about the lasting until infinity part. However, Bitcoin is going on a very decent track now. Even many old people are getting to know Bitcoin as time goes on. We can see people from every age being a Bitcoin trader or a user in the future. And the number of people who are into Bitcoin is increasing at a fast pace every day as you can see. This will be one of the biggest factors which will prevent Bitcoin from going down to zero.

If ever someone is thinking that Bitcoin might get replaced in the future I don't think if that's going to happen because as far as I know the government seems to be focusing too much on centralization and that would leave Bitcoin to continue to operate if no one could see a decentralized asset that the government would stop holding/owning.

Bitcoin will be the first thing came to our minds once we talk about crypto so thinking about some coins will replace it is kinda impossible for now since they really need to have more volume to defeat the marketcap before they can surpass it, but since bitcoin is established coin and the most preferred due to many adoption happened for sure other who plan to replaced it will just fail.

Although many people says that bitcoin will go to zero,it will die or anything bla,bla for sure it will not happen bitcoin is now somehow have part on economy and this will never get fade so for sure it will stay since more people will use it in future.
