I don't think it makes any difference if they go to second place from third place which is quite possible now that they have a game less than Sevilla and if they win it they are just 2 points behind. They still will play in Champions League next year the same as if they finish in third place,I don't know for any consolation prize that they receive in La Liga for finishing second. The one who should be watching out is Atletico Madrid as is just 2 points ahead of Betis and since Atletico now will probably focus more on Champions because they qualified this risk becomes even bigger.

The difference probably is zero, as you say, but things will become clearer after there are 5 more games left, and of course, after Sunday.

Liverpool's current effort to close 14 points to 1 point in just 9 games gives me hope that miracles can still happen in football but of course, Sunday has to happen in our favor first for us to even start dreaming anything.

Atletico plays like they want to qualify only, they have eyes on Champions League indeed.

I love how you compare Bitcoin to SMS.

I could send an SMS to a number, and anyone could be reading it, and I could even have no control over whether or not the message is seen by others, or even delivered.

When you send Bitcoin to someone, you actually sign over ownership of that data. I send you 1 BTC I actually authorise to transfer ownership of that 1 BTC from me to you. And I know only you get it, only you can access it (unless you shared your access or you use someone else's access).

After a long period or it feels like a long period for me anyway hehe, I finally got off my lazybones and threw in some rounds to catch up on the Daily wager board. 8th place is not too bad with all those big guys wagering in last seconds lol

I have to say, it's SO competitive still, even more so than before I guess. I recognize a few names there already but for sure there are 2 or 3 private people in there as well!!

I see someone else mentioned autobet again, and I always +100 this suggestion. Currently for one round on roulette for example on max speed it still takes me about 5 seconds. 1 minute maybe 10-12 manual rounds. Let us wager 100s of rounds pls OP hehe
3465  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: March 16, 2022, 09:12:01 AM
It is not difficult for Barcelona to move to second place in the table behind Sevilla. Sevilla have scored 9 points in their last five matches, while Barcelona have 13 points. If Barcelona can win against Real Madrid, they will be able to beat Sevilla very quickly. Because Sevilla's performance is not consistent now. I hope to see Barcelona second and Atletico Madrid third by the end of the season.

I hate myself for believing but what can I do and what can any Barca fan do now right? We're playing so well, we're smiling again, we're actually relaxed for once, even when going behind.

So of course if we lose Clasico we'll all be extra gutted, but I think the best thing about Sunday, no matter what happens, we'll be there fighting for a win, no longer lying down to Real. Because to lose 5 in a row our last meeting against them? That's such a stain lol

But let's not get ahead of ourselves, we are still expected to lose. Just let's keep fighting!

Can't wait for next Friday, when we know all the draws. I believe we will get a proper CL last 8, even if arguably, the next 4 to join are on the "weaker" half:
City*
Real
Bayern*
Liverpool
Chelsea
Juve
Ajax*
Atletico*

Looks like you got your prediction wrong in the end, the weakest team left (supposedly) has won a famous victory in Amsterdam, like Trofo says I'm totally surprised they couldn't score, which is not normal. I guess the people there must be having a shitty day right now.

1 point for me. cryptofrka did marvellously and now has a chance to get Number One spot well done man.

Seems like hodl is always the best option, if you take the chart lessons Wink But don't take them as they're not true. If everyone hodls, then nobody uses then Bitcoin has no utility.
That's my perspective too whenever I read or hear people scream hodl, hodl. It's not a bad idea to hodl, sincerely. Don't just criminalize it so to say, when people don't hodl. We all can't be hodlers the same way we can't all be selling or buying at the same time. There is always a balance.  We're in a heterogeneous world and opinions should differ. No one should see others who differ from them as abnormal or unintelligent. To be frank, what gives Bitcoin its value is the activities of buyers and sellers; not that of hodlers. Value of any commodity or assets or services aren't know until the owner/hodler decides to sell.

Yeah exactly, and all those people laughing at the pizza guy, who have zero idea of how things were back then and have no appreciation for the fact that if guys like him didn't spend and just hodled, then we would hardly be where we are today with Bitcoin worth almost $40000.

I see it so often, people using BTC to buy and pay for stuff ridiculed by others like "stupid guy didn't hodl". We should not only be thanking them but reminding ourselves to also use BTC whenever we can.

This is just ICO projects all over again. Axie runs long because it's the first mover that's all it is really.
The even bigger problem is that most of them focus on the part where people could make money by playing the game, but there is zero places that makes the games fun just to play. Like how many people would have really played axie infinity if there was no option to make money from it? At one point, people made like 20 bucks per day from it, that is 600 bucks per month and that is a lot of money for most people in the entire world. Sure, it is not big for people with jobs in big nations, but rest of the world really made as much money from it as possible.

But, it all depended on the game to keep growing and the more it grew the less need for SLP was there. All in all games itself is not entertaining and thats the biggest problem.

Ahm yeah, that was sort of my starting point in this discussion. They say Play 2 Earn is about blockchain games but it's really, really not. There is almost no concept of gameplay, there is no creativity and it's no fun.

This is why, as I said, you go into P2E communities and they are not gamers at all. They're token speculators. Same as ever before in ICO.
3469  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: March 15, 2022, 09:04:31 AM
tomahawk9 that was a super weird stat to bring up but I think someone else also brought up some weird Tuesday stat some other place and it also turned out to be true. One of the many weird quirks of football stats sometimes I guess. Ah Camp Nou times, they really don't feel so long ago to be honest I wonder if Pep also was thinking about it last night lol

I think what's stranger than everything is that nobody actually put 3-0 down in the pool?

6 lucky winners had under 1000 tickets! Smiley That is what I call luck!

But there are also people with 200k+ tickets... Won? Bought? No idea.

As a former winner (not such a big prize but at the time BTC wasn't so high in price so I think I "made a killing") this is why I'll never switch off my Lottery tickets when doing freerolls. We've all seen single ticket winners, under 10 tickets every now and then, and if I can get 10 tickets a day just for freerolling, that's about 70 a week, plus all the free WoF spins tickets, I feel like every draw is something to play for Wink

200k+ tickets is really easy if you wager, I've definitely been in that position myself but it's been months since I wagered big. Waiting to time my 2022 wager round, but my aim is always to get myself some great Lambo tickets while taking 3-5x bonus RP.

Wow City slipped up and Pep even had to confront the goalie after the match. 4 points from 2 games for Crystal Palace, I bet they must be expecting flowers from Liverpool if City don't win the league Smiley

This is why people need to follow up on the extras of what the sportsbook offers you. There are too many people like me who end up gambling on regular methods without checking any of this, no tip of the day, no multi insured, no anything, just straight up gambling. I just recently lost a bet with 7/8, I got 7 rights, just one wrong, and I lost it all. The wager supposed to be 21.88x if I won it all, and I lost it all and got zero back because of it.

I mean if I had some insurance thing going on, then even 7 would have paid me well enough, or at least I would have even taken my money back and that would have been fine, even if I didn't profited at all.

Speaking of checking promos, for Sportsbet free insurance you must have min 1.5 odds on every multibet selection So if you have 8 selections, and only 21.88, one or more of those is below 1.5 so you wouldn't qualify anyway.

And yesterday, I had another insured bet returned thanks to... Bayer Leverkusen not winning.
ah, another victim of the bundesliga curse from last weekend 🥲

Bundesliga and Serie A I would say are the two most favorite curse teams lately,,, and actually it feels worse to lose if your selected 1x2 DRAWS rather than loses because then if you are actually watching the game, like I was with Sassuolo, you have false hopes all the way. No no wait worse is to be winning most of the match and concede late equalizer lol

Even if you have watched all the movies yourself, it is still quite difficult to place bets as the Academy can think in a completely different way. It is not because you really like the movie, that they will win the oscar and sometimes there are some surprising winners also.

I think something's changed with the way Oscars are done actually, just looked it up and stuff is really different now. But yes in general, winners are not really surprising if you understand what people are looking for these days and remember that anything too controversial usually doesn't do well (in terms of votes to win an Oscar). It's still very traditional and conservative at the end of the day (I believe). So meaning to say, they like surprises but not if it's controversial.

Trofo is definitely a go big go home kind of guy but I bet you so are a lot of the other guys posting, just they are so shy to share Wink And nice one too vd309!

Anyway, it was a not-so-good week for me in terms of betting, I was going to win my own special multibet but was letdown by Sassuolo. And yesterday, I had another insured bet returned thanks to... Bayer Leverkusen not winning. But thanks to a hedge I at least got freebets back PLUS I got a small profit.

Prediction however has been a great week for me! I won prizes in 3 contests from Sportsbet: UFC Vegas 50 Multi Master Challenge, Indian Wells Masters and Arsenal + Southampton + SPFC ⚽ Prediction Contest. Now I just have to be very wise in using them lol.

Thanks so much Steve, jeremypwr, notblox1, all of you really!

If you buy and 99% of the time it drops, then we'd all be having Bitcoin with negative. Markets are so simple, remember. If more people buy than people are selling price goes up. And we all know BTC has only been up since the past 12 years Smiley
3477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: March 14, 2022, 07:02:30 AM
Finally, come back again, it seems that Xavi learned from the previous match, Aubameyang, Torres, and also Dembele is the most effective lineups for the attacking lines. And again, with score 4-0. It seems that 4 is the most fortunate number for this club  Grin
O the other hand, Sevilla has decreased performance currently, they could only make a draw match vs Rayo Vallecano.
Now the point difference is really closed with Barcelona. Sevilla must be more careful about this.
But the result may be decided in the next matches because Barcelona will be against Real Madrid, and Sevilla will be against Real Sociedad. These will bevery interesting macthes.

I think it was less about learning from the previous match and more about confirming what was already evident to the rest of us haha. Auba has always been a killer instinct striker, Dembele was always showing some bright sparks but it does turn out he plays really well with the new guys, Torres though I think people were questioning a lot unfairly just because he could not finish a lot of chances.

Now can we ask real Madrid to please maybe not win? lol Not so we can catch them but so we aren't TWELVE points behind them.
3478  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: March 13, 2022, 02:59:00 PM
Man, Sevilla. I don't know why I was so confident in picking them. The odds given by bookies should have given me a clue about how they would perform. 3 subs made at 55th minute was a gamble as it brought the first shot from a great cross, in the entire game, to equalize. Only chance after that was penalty that VAR removed. Rayo I guess deserved to win if you look at the chances created and blocks, so if Sevilla want this title they better find a way to play more creatively and get the best out of Ocampos.

Off to bed, Barca too late for me Smiley

Thanks slaman29! I had to wait until 28th round to get my first yellow cap. And yeah this round was so tough indeed! Good luck for next rounds Wink

And this is another reminder to everyone who has given up that every round has something big to fight for, plus one yellow cap takes you up so many positions in the table, and even if you didn't take it, climbing 3 or 4 positions every round will put you in good stead.

The top 10 is so close that one big round matters.

Anyway this is another big round and great opportunity for another max slam points with many already getting 3 correct predictions wow!

Trust me, gamers hate lootboxes and paid to win shit and P2E looks a lot more like this than anything else.

As you say, one people are spamming for profit, the real gamers will piss off the game and the "game" becomes a mining app.
Well, if you are a F2P player you should know that devs of the games trying to make profit so without these P2W games their projects won't last long. And also, loot boxes, gatcha roll, and other advantage of the games that can only be purchased though you can take it if you are a F2P player but there's a requirement before you get it that's why buying or paying it is an advantage to most players.

I rarely see an NFT games that focused more on the game than making a game for quick profit just because of the hype. They aren't planning their game to last long I guess but some of them managed to run long like Axie.

That's kinda the whole point of the entire discussion I started, that there really is no NFT game that focuss on the game. Everyone's jumping on for the hype and because devs think they can make quick money like everyone else. Why else are NFT games coming up in weeks, if not days, and from projects who used to be nothing to do with games?

This is just ICO projects all over again. Axie runs long because it's the first mover that's all it is really.
