3461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think 40% bonus is too much for early Investors? on: August 18, 2019, 09:19:47 PM
It's a lot but even if it was 30% it also could crash the price. The crash depends on the project itself not the distributed coins. In extreme cases if you distributed almost all of it the probability of a crash would be higher but in lower numbers 20-50 it's always the coin's fault.

You can distribute 40% of a good coin and not see a crash but you can distribute 30% of a bad coin and it will crash
3462  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you guys started to gambling with cryptos or fiat money? on: August 18, 2019, 07:07:20 PM
I started with fiat money playing poker with friends then switched to real money slots and computer games. I gambled a bit using ingame items that could be later sold for money on platforms like steam. Then there was Bitcoin and crypto gambling came with it. Before that I've never gambled online using fiat money so I've never heard about KYC. I enjoyed crypto gambling much more than fiat gambling.
3463  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We need a movie about Bitcoin on: August 18, 2019, 06:38:13 PM
There really should be a real movie about Bitcoin. Crypto is not a real movie. It's a shit movie meant to launch itself on its popularity but to show it as a money laundering tool and dirty money of the Internet hackers.

Movies like that aren't really about cryptocurrencies or Bitcoin. They are made by mainstream authors who don't know much about it for the mainstream audience who knows as much as the media allow them to.
3464  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Sold 2BTC at $3,000 and BTC Bumped to $10,000 on: August 18, 2019, 06:04:32 PM
Oh man, You still are good, Some of us sold under 1K!!! But never mind, there is still time and space to grow.

Right now I have put it all on into some crazy ALT...Double or nothing. I nearly lost it all, now is gonna be time to shine Cheesy

Buy BITCOIN and HOLD for life !

Most members of this forum who were here when Bitcoin was below 1k sold some. I remember buying some at that price and selling when it went up by 100 dollars because 10% was a big profit for me. That's how I saw things back in the day. Bitcoin was for making money on trading and that's it.

We grow up to become holders. It takes time Wink
3465  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Becoming More Available? on: August 18, 2019, 05:48:31 PM
It has been 10 years since Bitcoin was released, it has changed the perception of many people about electronic money, including me. Crypto has done a lot of great things over the past 10 years, it has become more accessible, we can get rich thanks to Bitcoin. However, your opinions are contradictory, Bitcoin is not easily accessible. In some countries, Bitcoin is banned from trading and storage, it seems the Government doesn't like this.

It is banned in some countries but look what countries are those. Low GDP weak governments. Afghanistan, Pakistan, Vanuatu... please.

if we are talking about buying bitcoin yes its available.but we can use it for trade only.so im trying to say what "available" means in that question. being available doesnt help to bitcoin or humanity.

The article and the first post are clearly saying something else. You haven't read that.
3466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: observe the market situation and the price of cryptocurrency on: August 17, 2019, 09:01:23 PM
You didn't notice anything new or unusual OP. Bitcoin is constantly making higher lows and losing 130 million is only possible because it gained 160 first in just a few months.

It really doesn't matter if a correction after a big pump is 50% 60% or 80%. All that matters is that it's not 100% which means that holders gain money and bitcoin is still going up in the long term.
3467  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What your family thinks about that you into crypto on: August 17, 2019, 08:54:03 PM
I don't really have a family and I don't tell random people what I do but those who know are curious and want to know more.

Most people think that if you're an investor or a trader working from home you're saying it because you can't get a proper job and that you're a lazy loser. I only care what my friends think so it doesn't bother me.
3468  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coindesk & Cointelegraph give Fake News on: August 17, 2019, 08:45:45 PM
They really could spend some time and research if this is true or not. How stupid do you really have to be Mr. William Foxley?
In the headline he wrote that receive bitcoin refunds and in the first sentence right below he's saying that poloniex is allowing for no fee trading.

Since when allowing to trade for free is giving bitcoin? It's like telling people a restaurant is giving money away because it allows you to warm up a meal if you bring it from home Cheesy
3469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MarketCap is returning to $300+ Billion Territory Again Can it be Sustain? on: August 16, 2019, 11:15:45 PM
It can be sustained with ease. Years ago bitcoin and cryptocurrencies were called ponzi schemes but they are surviving and growing. If they were schemes the collapse would've happened years ago and people are starting to notice it. With trust come money and crypto will keep growing. 300 million is just the beginning.
3470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Not a must to promote every bounty projects on: August 16, 2019, 10:42:25 PM
You don't need to promote every bounty that comes your way, you need to be very selective , do more research and that will be more profitable, don't rely on people for research, learn to do your own research and most especially check for the team backing the project.
I guess he means that not all projects deserve to be promoted. When you see that a project can be a hyip or is not paying well or the team or site are suspicious you shouldn't be helping them. It's a risk for you and for other people that can fall for their scam because of your shilling.

Check projects first and promote only the best ones. The rest will have to adjust or disappear.
3471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cyber Crimes and Crypto on: August 16, 2019, 10:32:13 PM
I do not know how but there has to be a way to curb cybercrime for cryptocurrency to even get a breather not to talk of being regulated. Many people do not take cryptocurrency serious because they do not believe it is secure enough and that perception has stunted its growth over the last few years.

Crypto crime rates aren't higher than fiat money crime rates. Mainstream media like to show crypto in a bad light because it's a novelty that undermines their long trust in their governments and fiat money.

Don't you know that governments control most of their media outlets? There's really not many channels that aren't pushing their own political agenda or the agenda of whoever pays more.
3472  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cyber Crimes and Crypto on: August 16, 2019, 08:34:26 PM
I would really like to know why people seem to gravitate towards using btc still in the dark web versus say privacy coins. Also super fascinating technology from ciphertrace that can track all of that

Because bitcoin is bitcoin - the most accepted and recognized cryptocurrency. Also it's the most stable one.

Privacy coins are great I agree with you but they are still altcoins. You need a wallet that supports them and you need your partner to also have it and know how to handle this privacy coin. Almost everyone accepts bitcoin first and then try new altcoins.
3473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin or Bitcoin on: August 16, 2019, 08:28:50 PM
As profitable as altcoin could be with just some few money, I would choose altcoin, reason being that bitcoin has gotten more acceptance unlike altcoin and so there will definitely be demand for bitcoin which will increase it's value.

So you see that bitcoin is getting more acceptance and that there will be more demand but you would choose altcoin? Where is a sense in that? Cheesy

I would always choose bitcoin because if altcoins are to succeed bitcoin has to succeed first. It's a simple rule. There's no altcoin market without bitcoin.
3474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A 2019 Critical Crypto Overview on: August 16, 2019, 08:15:47 PM
TLDR LOL

Joke.

I did read most of it and I agree with you that altcoins are not special in any way. People were taught to differentiate and they did. Mostly in 2015 16 and 17.
You could see two investor types. One was the investor who made money on Bitcoin and tried to differentiate but stay in crypto at the same time. The other was a poor newbie who thought Bitcoin is too expensive and altcoins are more or less the same but cheaper.
3475  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is Coindesk biased in its reporting on altcoins ? on: August 16, 2019, 08:07:17 PM
Aren't they accepting payments for publishing articles? Review and article sites accepts more than $500 per article posted in their website. Coindesk is a paid article site.

All of them are bias otherwise they won't be shilling for which coin. Users in the forum does shill for coins particularly those who hold a stash of a token. They sure will shill for it than spread fud to an obvious shitcoin. A project that don't pay anything to them will be called shitcoin even if not.

They probably did that at first but when people accused them of doing it they changed their policy.

Quote
All editorial team members and freelance writers for CoinDesk are required to disclose any investments or outside activities associated with cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. CoinDesk does not accept payment in return for publishing news articles, features or product reviews.

I don't remember when they did it and started to include every authors investments in their profiles and most of them said that they don't to hold any crypto. This is really strange because every enthusiast should have some crypto. You won't find an automotive journalist without a car and there shouldn't be any nocoiner crypto journalists.
3476  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The first country in the world. Officially salary in cryptocurrency! on: August 15, 2019, 10:37:19 PM
For now, I don't want my salary to be paid using bitcoin or altcoin.  Although basically I really want to, my reason is because, in my country.  Bitcoin and altcoin cannot be used as a means of payment

So what? You can always exchange the amount that you need and pay with it but hold the rest.

I would love to get paid in bitcoin because I like to hoard it and having it would help me to spend less and save up. It's sometimes hard to make yourself dedicate some money to an investment but getting paid in an investment would fix everything Wink
3477  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Are airdrops profitable and worth my time ? on: August 15, 2019, 10:24:30 PM
Hunting for airdrops usually is like looking for gold in a river. You will be looking and looking for days and weeks but once in a while something nice will come up.

The best airdrops come to those who have BTC ETH or other big altcoins. If you have 10 BTC or something you can really get a nice airdrop from time to time. Free airdrops are usually shit.
3478  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who are Bitcoin users today? Who are you, %username%? on: August 15, 2019, 10:12:43 PM
I did the survey, all questions were clear and easy.

By asking "who are you" do you mainly mean what exchanges and wallets do we use and are we spending coins? That was my impression after doing the survey that you are focused only on our exchanging and spending habits not about our age or background. I did some similar surveys and people were usually trying to put me in an age/gender/occupation group first.
3479  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gov'ts and Institutions buying up Bitcoin on: August 13, 2019, 08:33:08 PM
We already know Government institutions and wall street  are showing up interest in bitcoin and we have seen recently Fidelity may come up with crypto platform which is big move for crypto currency industry all together

Interest doesn't mean buying. The headline is really exaggerated and probably even fake. If governments were to buy bitcoin just to hold it it would mean weakening their own currencies.

If they really wanted to destroy bitcoin they would be able to do it. They could print a lot of new money and use it to buy all bitcoins that you can and then close all of it in a vault making the supply so low that it will be impossible to use it as a currency.
3480  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Hackers Bombard Chipmixer to Launder at Least 4,836 BTC on: August 13, 2019, 08:27:57 PM
Is there any word from Chipmixer yet about this issue? I do read almost response on here. Some saying they wont got affected and some do say that they are on a big trouble.
For me I don't see for Chipmixer to oppose if government would something ask about their cooperation connected to the incident.

They won't oppose but the main argument here is that they are anonymous and won't get caught. It will depend on where their business is located. TPB managed to avoid being taken down for years by switching servers from country to country but eventually the government got them.

Chipmixer can be anonymous and keep their clients private now but they won't be able to hide forever and continue to operate the business. There are fees and taxes. They aren't located on no man's land.
