Aren't they accepting payments for publishing articles? Review and article sites accepts more than $500 per article posted in their website. Coindesk is a paid article site.

All of them are bias otherwise they won't be shilling for which coin. Users in the forum does shill for coins particularly those who hold a stash of a token. They sure will shill for it than spread fud to an obvious shitcoin. A project that don't pay anything to them will be called shitcoin even if not.

All of them are bias

All of media are bias. Every. Single. One. of. Them.

It can't be helped. All people have an opinion on something. The publication's owners have their own take on what's happening in the crypto world. The only thing you can do is read from different sources and form your own opinion.

So far, Coindesk is under Barry Silbert's company so it's pro-Bitcoin, pro- ETH Classic.

They probably did that at first but when people accused them of doing it they changed their policy.

All editorial team members and freelance writers for CoinDesk are required to disclose any investments or outside activities associated with cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. CoinDesk does not accept payment in return for publishing news articles, features or product reviews.

I don't remember when they did it and started to include every authors investments in their profiles and most of them said that they don't to hold any crypto. This is really strange because every enthusiast should have some crypto. You won't find an automotive journalist without a car and there shouldn't be any nocoiner crypto journalists.

CoinDesk is also a subsidiary of Digital Currency Group (“DCG”). DCG invests in cryptocurrencies and has ownership stakes in a number of blockchain startups,
they are listed here : https://dcg.co/portfolio/
Coindesk claim to act independently of their owner, Digital Currency Group

The thing is, any media publishing website that will accept money for publishing articles and other posts on their platform will tend  to exhibit some form of bias or the other. Coindesk is no exemption from this and am not surprised that many people here also feel the same about their tendency to be sentimental with their published posts

Can you name  me a single news source which doesn't have any bias?

There isn't any. So your question is pointless.

You either like their articles, or you don't. If you find their articles stupid, leave them and read aome other website. It is not that they are running a monopoly.

All of media are bias. Every. Single. One. of. Them.
Welp, this is a sure thing that we can't deny. Most of them are and they would love to report what they want to report. But mostly what they like are the paid ones.
It's no longer hidden that media is a huge industry that rakes millions, no, billions of money.

Please state your specific altcoin and the reason(s) why you think Coindesk is (or is not) biased in its reporting on altcoins.
Because they don't want to promote any random scam shit-coin for legal purposes? If the coin promoted by them becomes a scam in a later stage, their FBI fathers will start swinging at them. They don't want any swingings around. It's not good for their business. They report only commercial, centralized, rich coins for a heavy cut.

every news outlet is baised this way or another
some have stricter editorial control and policies , some are shilling for a particular altcoin ( bitcoin cash , for example )
but you cannot expect the representatives of the second oldest profession in the world to be fair and not biased, only  if they do not get paid
coindesk doesn't hide the fact that it takes money to publish articles , so you can promote your coin there as well
the thing is that you do not have to trust everything you read , coindesk or not - use common sense and if the amount of the questionable material is too big
change the news source , there are plenty to choose from nowadays

Irony here is that every post here has signature - so paid for posting...
Nothing is free.
Why anyone thinks that Coindesk is not biased? They just overdo it towards altcoins.

No articles from Coindesk about Dash listed on Coinbase Pro, further strenghtening claims of
biased reporting on Dash.

Link : https://www.dash.org/2019/08/17/cryptoviser-dash-core/

Will Coindesk ignore Dash on this very important listing on Coinbase Pro or not ? Stay tuned ...

I've been following updates from coindesk and I don't think they are biased generally. Well, all of these news platforms including cointelegraph do paid publications which is normal, that's their means of funding.  I don't really see any major "biased" observation. Or maybe a specific publication should be mentioned, let's analyse.

Please state your specific altcoin and the reason(s) why you think Coindesk is (or is not) biased in its reporting on altcoins.
WELL, everything you will still hear from us is based on assumption and not biased on what we are sure of, and its only God and them that really knows what is going on with them and how they are operating, but I am of the opinion that they would definitely be biased in their altcoin report except they want to go hungry.

We are not babies and we know how these things do work, many of us are not just in the same service because we have other things that we have passion for, but for a site like this that is being used free of charge, no advert placement , no AdSense, no subscription, how do you expect them to make money other than being paid to create some good reports to hype some coins artificially, so would not trust them and i would not distrust them, we all here to make money.
